Room was tiny but clean and well-designed. When I called the desk because my shower was draining slowly they trim care of it while I was gone for the day. The staff was friendly. A free ($20 coupon, and oatmeal was &19 (!) breakfast came with my stay. The restaurant wasn’t anything to write home about but the waitstaff was friendly and attentive.

Super frustrated the door to terrace couldnt open. Photo on Expedia is way better. Chairs on terrace were folding chairs and nothing like pictured. No door on bathroom. They added a curtain ( nice to do) but small bathroom and my biggest frustration was the room would not go below 68 degrees. I asked and they checked 3 x but never was fixed. I am WAY not a good warm sleeper and it made 3 evenings super uncomfortable. I am a FAN of Park South and chose this as alternative but wouldn't recommend. Also one positive was the GYM, That was great as were the tickets for complimentary beverage. I am sorry to write a poor review, as I never do but the room was not great and the temperature not being adjustable was a deal killer for me.

Service with a smile

This was a return stay so clearly means I like the place. The one thing that sadly lets down the team is housekeeping. I returned to my room on two back to back days to find my room just as I had left it hour ago in the morning. This is not good. Kudos to the front desk staff for sorting things out for me as quickly as possible and to Barry (excellent doorman) for making me comfortable while I waited for room to be serviced.

I must also commend the front desk for sorting out an early check-in for me on extremely short notice and moving me to a better room when I complained about the size and location of the room assigned. This kind of service is what makes people like myself become loyal customers. If only the housekeeping team were equally good. They are the reason why I knocked off a star from my rating.

US Open weekend stay at the Le Meridien

The experience was excellent from the check in and check out. The staff are very attentive and helpful , Their customer service is way better than any 5 star Hotel we stayed . We will come back again to this Hotel. Thanks to Christina, Oswaldo from the front desk and the housekeeping crew. This is such a memorable stay in New York.

Busy but comfortable

Check-in took nearly an hour upon arrival, not ideal after a 7 hour flight. Breakfast was a busy experience as the waiting staff were struggling to attend to everybody in quick enough time. The room was very cozy & comfortable but the cleaning staff failed to remove food from the fridge left by previous guests.

Great room. Make SURE you do not confuse the downtown Meridien for the uptown one! Great pasta at the restaurant for dinner. Breakfast staff needs to be completely overhauled, though, with better management and no language barriers (though nice to have a $35 credit the hotel offers)

Overall, an average experience. Check-in was an unpleasant surprise. Rooms were only ready at 5:30 pm and only because we agreed not to insist on the booked high-floor rooms. We also requested same floor rooms upfront, which was never responded to and also not met. Rooms are quite small, have no view on lower levels but comfortable and we liked it overall. Staff was very nice given circumstances. Would not come back though.

Modern rooms and great service!

Really great hotel in an excellent location. It’s close to everything from 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue shops to Madison Park and in close proximity to tons of great bars and restaurants. The staff was super nice and friendly. The room was small but functional and very clean and comfortable.

I will definitely stay here again when I come out to New York.

The staff was excellent! Sari, (I forgot to ask her how she spelled her name) at the front desk, was so helpful in getting me my answer to my Bonvoy account number. The bellmen and staff were also very nice, friendly and welcoming whenever we returned to the hotel.
The room was nice but it lacked lighting. One side of the bed had 2 lights while the other side had none. It was very dim.
Also, we didn't know where to hang our hand towels or bath towels since there wasn't anywhere to hang them in the bathroom (hand towels or bath towels).
Was the phone in the room supposed to work? It didn't.
I liked that you had a bar and restaurant on the premises.

The property is right in the middle of Koreatown on 5th avenue which made for very good dining options. The staff were friendly enough, especially the doormen. The rooms and the property itself were really small, almost uncomfortably so. You are paying NYC prices for the location. The room we were given was adapted for disability so there were shower bars and no shower door. When we ran the shower, the water got all over the bathroom floor. The room was no bigger than a small European room, however and we're not sure how a wheelchair would be able to get into that room. There was a $35 extra fee, though this is not a resort, that they tried to make up for with a $35 food credit that we couldn't use due to time but perhaps may have been used for a drink at the bar. You are paying for location at this property.

The double bed rooms are super small and nothing like the pictures. The drawers super short and shallow so only my pajamas fit in there. There was no door too the very tiny bathroom! I was staying in the double bed room with my 30 year old son and when one of was showering the other one had to just stay in his/her corner of the room so he/she wouldn’t see the naked person showering. On Sunday the cleaning lady found a dirty sock (not ours) and left it thinking it was ours. Obviously, whoever cleaned after the last guest didn’t do a thorough job and didn’t find the dirty sock!!!

Le Meridien - wonderful stay

Our stay at Le Meridien was excellent! From the moment we arrived, the bell staff greeted us warmly every time we came and went. The room was clean, and we were able to check in early, which was a great bonus.

The only minor downside was that our wheelchair-accessible room had a slightly different layout than a standard room, but it didn’t affect our experience at all. The room was a bit dim, with only two desk lamps and one light near the door—I’d suggest adding a ceiling can light for better illumination.

Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely return!

Absolutely love this property, stayed here 12/23-12/30 throughout Christmas and it was a overall amazing experience. Prime location, everything is about a 10-15 minute walk including time square. Hotel staff is amazing and welcome you everytime you come back “home”. Very clean and felt safe. Would highly recommend and would love to return here!

Extremely Noisy AC unit right above bed. I called and asked to wait for engineer for 10 mins. 1 1/2 hour no show so called again. Then the man said no way to fix. They have such problems in a few rooms and this is one of them. So I had to change room but no better choice. Settled with smaller room and no fridge for less noisy AC. Floor dirty. No slippers. Gave meal coupon for AC inconvenience
So I thought it is a good gesture. But the restaurent manager is very unfriendly and when choosing table on first day though the place is 25% occupied, kept on rejecting with mono tone \"No\" and \"No\". Eneded up not wanting to go there so ended up with room service in such small cramped place as restaurent is really not inviting. 3rd day, there is no room service from 10am I left till 5.30pm I returned. I had to call and left the room for 2 hours again for the service.Front desk is ok with one particular doorman very friendly and helpful. That is the only good thing I can say from this stay. Unfortunate encounter. I stayed at le Meridien around the world but the worst one I experienced. I go to NYC all the time but will NEVER go back to this hotel for my business trips.

The property is conveniently located to a lot of tourist places to visit like Empire State Building, Time Square, One Vanderbilt, Grand Central, etc. A lot of dining options around.

The staff were friendly. Wei, the assistant manager made sure that we were comfortable in our room. There were some issues with our previous room and he made it a point to make up for it. Barry, the doorman was also very courteous and would greet us by our name.

The experience was pleasant.

Excellent location, otherwise a shameless cash grab. They just put some marble flooring down, hired a doorman, give it a French name and voila, an 'upscale hotel'. Aside from the facade of an upscale hotel, everything about this place is as cheap as they can get away with for the highest possible price.

Towels are thin and old. Furniture and common areas are obviously wearing. Staff don't seem to be trained that well. Rooms are very small and the 2 queen bedroom inexplicably doesn't have a door to the bathroom. The toilet closet door is a cheap pocket door/barn door (so you hear and smell everything). The restaurant is fairly expensive (breakfast for 3 was $60) and really poor quality; cheap bulk processed eggs, thin burnt bacon, fruit that wasn't ripe, decent latte.

Was it the worst hotel stay I've had? No. But did it detract from my vacation? Yes. We have a lot of hotel options in NYC, I'll find another one the next time I'm in town, I'd suggest you do the same.

The location of this hotel was amazing and convenient to get around. Right next to Korea town and plenty of restaurants & coffee shops.

The let down was the staff. Reception at the front desk was terrible and was always ready for a response which made no sense. A incidental hold was required which is standard in most hotels. However what the lady had said the price would be it was actually triple. I was charged $328 and I used a debit card which means it gets taken out my account. Upon check out I was refunded incorrectly. The hotel had yet to pay me $294. I had called 3 times about this matter luckily as I was still in New York so it was easy to call. First call one of the workers said it’s too soon and I should wait for the refund to come through however I tried explaining the refund has come through but not the correct amount. He reassured me I should wait. I was sceptical at this point and called back 3 days later and spoke to a woman who told me to get in touch with my bank and they can’t do anything about it and also responded to some of my questions with I don’t know. I asked her to pass it on to a manager. I spoke with a manager who literally spoke over me several times but managed to understand I paid twice the amount and apologised and told me I would get my refund. I then got a refund however it was roughly $40 short. I had to then get in touch via email. It took a lot of time and inconvenience. Would I stay here again? No. The rooms weren’t cleaned daily.
