Firstly let me star off with the receptionist and door man there service was a 10/10. Secondly I love my balcony view it was awesome, the room was clean and fresh. To top it off I really do enjoyed my stay.

Overall a good stay. Hotel is very nice and the staff is attentive. But, the Queen Deluxe Room does not come with a separate sitting area with a table and chairs, despite appearing so on Expedia and the hotel website. When I noticed this at check in the manager told me that this type of layout does not exist for a Queen Deluxe room. That was confusing and frustrating because the pictures clearly show it, and as much as I understand that some inconsistencies may exist I did not expect that from a 5-star restaurant. Breakfast for room service was inconsistent; one morning the coffee came in beautiful silver pots and ceramic cups (as expected in these types of hotels) and the next it came in to-go paper cups.

For the price we paid it should be much better. We had a long 24 minutes just for checking in at the front desk. The property is a bit outdated and needs a restoration. It’s old and needs updating in rooms. Very noisy in room AC units. For the price we paid we should stay at least another night for free. It’s a 3 star hotel with 6 star price.

We stayed for 4 nights and the rooms were spacious for NYC, beds were comfy, our only issue was we called several times confirming the rooms would sleep 3, however they did not. We requested a roll away and they were very accommodating. All was well and the stay was great. For reference we stayed in a Junior Suite (Classic).

We enjoyed our stay & the amenities; however, we were looking forward to the rooftop patio and there was not one available. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous and there was plenty of food & shopping options within a walking distance. The subway is a few steps away and very convenient to use as well. We would stay here again!

Stayed in this hotel before and was happy. But in this visit, there was a definite decline in the quality of service.
Slippers were not provided. The kettle was not working and I had to call for a resolution. Soap was not provided at the bathroom sink.
Simple expectations that were not met.
Wrote to the Manager but did not get a response.
Overall impression was that there was no care put into making a guest feel welcomed.

Waited over 2 hours to check in. Yes, I realize check-in is 3 pm but I’ve never arrived to a hotel early and waited more than 30 mins for my room to be ready. They held fast to the 3 pm time and we had to wait in line at 3 pm, behind others who just walked in, to get checked in for our room after sitting for 2 hours in the lobby.

Room was large for NYC, shower leaked all of the bathroom floor. Pool was a nice amenity but the elevators were gross - dingy and dirty with peeling wallpaper. For the price, it met expectations. Don’t think I’d ever stay here again though. I’d rather pay a bit more for a better experience.

While the staff is nice and helpful and the location is convenient, this property is not a 5-star establishment—more accurately, it is closer to a 3.5-star rating. The rooms and shared spaces require upgrades and a complete revamp, as they appear a bit old and run down.

Everything was lovely, our room was upgraded at with no extra fee because we could not get on the same floor as our grandchildren, but it worked out. The pool water was a bit chilly for the adults, but the kids were fine with it.

Didn’t care for seeing the trash every night right next to the property (maybe something about NYC can’t have dumpsters?!), and there was a mysterious large wet stain on the master bedroom floor that wouldn’t dry or go away for the duration of our stay. Housekeeping was good, when they came; had to ask one day on the weekend. Other than that, staff was awesome, room was nice and spacious, and already booked it again for our next trip to NYC!

My room had no heat the entire stay. Stayed over Christmas with record freezing temps. Maintenance tried to fix it twice & brought a portable heater instead which didn’t help and could have posed dangers. I asked to speak to the manager multiple times, left my # and never heard back. I asked for compensations for wasting thousands. Manager didn’t charge me for some nonsense resort like fee. Terrible experience. Terrible management. Will never return or recommend. I don’t want to hear a nonsense apology from management on here either.

Amazing but Don’t forget the 5th person!

We had a 2 BR suite for my 2 married couple kids and I took the chaise in the living room which was super comfortable believe it or not. My only complaint is we booked for 5 people and when we arrived in the room there was no set up for the 5th. I had to call down for extra bedding and they never brought and I had to just catch the housekeeper and they provided. Each day though I would have to call for a fifth set of towels as well. Would recommend if the room is for 5 people that they make sure the fifth person is provided for! Otherwise the suite was so spacious and the rooms very large which is unusual for NY

We really enjoyed this hotel. Modern lobby. Rooms well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. Loved our breakfasts and the servers were great! The entire hotel staff couldn't have been nicer and helpful.

Cons: Bathrooms small and lacking in storage for toiletries, etc. Also, there were stains on couch that should've been cleaned.

Room needed an upgrade. Not the same room as you pictured. Drab and obvious wear and tear on cabinets, nightstands and desks. Bathroom too small with poor lighting, and some obvious mold on the shower grout. Ugh. Disappointing overall. Only positive was the parking garage was literally next door. Also, they have a doorman, but many times he was on his phone while i opened the door myself. Ridiculous. I would not stay here again!!!!!

I love staying in Ktown because it is so convenient to everything, not the least of which is the train station - a quick 15 minute walk. It is bustling and alive, close to Times Square as well. The downside is that it is rather noisy. If you're looking for a luxe experience, this neighborhood is probably not a good choice.

The hotel is very uncluttered and pretty. It is however starting to show some wear, particularly in the elevators and the furnishings in the rooms. That's the downside. The upside is that the staff was great and very helpful. We got upgraded to a jr. suite which was surprisingly handy. It had a small balcony and a mini kitchenette which came in very handy. The bed was so comfortable that I unmade it so that I could see who the mfg. was so that I could buy one. Towels could use replacement but bed linens were very nice. All in all a good stay and we would tay again.

The hotel staff was polite and friendly. The rooms were quiet and clean. I loved the interior design throughout the building. My family and I walked everywhere and jumped on nearby subways to see the city. For an affordable and hot meal, we walked 2-3 blocks away to Greenleaf Deli and brought the food back to the lobby to eat together. The rooftop bar of the hotel had beautiful views for pictures. If I come back to Manhattan, I’ll stay here again. I loved it, my 12 year old son loved it and my senior-aged parents loved it.

I arrived at the hotel to find out that the room I booked had an issue and they were oversold. Rolande, who was working the desk asked if someone called to inform me. That was a silly question because had someone called me, I wouldn’t have been there. I subsequently waited an hour and they were not able to accommodate me. I told her I expect to be reimbursed for the hotel and compensated for my rides to and from the hotel in addition to at least a $100 credit for the inconvenience.

The room was perfect, clean, comfortable, spacious. Service was excellent. Pool was very nice. The downside was the restaurant. Both meals (mine and my daughters') were subpar. I sent my raw shrimp cocktail back and was told the chef said was \"normal\" (It was raw and inedible, unlike the countless shrimp cocktails I have eaten throughout my life) and was not offered a refund. The child's meal was supposed to come with chips and a drink but we received only a plate of pasta and nothing else (for $18). Unfortunate overpriced, subpar food, disappointing service.

Marmara Park Ave - Once was enough.

I was excited to give the Marmara a try - as I have been booking extensive travel(emphasis on hotels) - man years professionally - both for our company and others. I like to use my quick, personal trips to find \"hidden gems\". The Marmara, sadly, did not fit the bill. The staff at check in were nice, but we were very excited to be there and they were a bit... monotone. Requested a balcony, understand that is not always possible. Our room was a comfortable size for two travelers (sleepiing separately) The safe was broken - so I immediatly called down, as my personal items were locked in. The \"engineer\" (young man with batteries) assured me it was fixed. Alas it wasn;t. But we had reservations and we left knowing it could not be opened easily by anyone. The light next to the bed had an outlet that, when my sister plugged her phone charger in the entire eletrical socket came loose = and then out in pieces, attached to her cable, The bathroom door was broken - but we were not in any position to have to call for anything else at that point - nor were we going to pack up and move. Seasoned traveler, would rather deal with it at this point.. Alas, after returning from dinner - had to call again to get our stuff out of the safe
decided never to try safe. again. The beds were super comfortable. Nice location, the lobby bar made a terrific drink - and served delicious coffee in the morning. However, this will not be my go to hotel.

The accommodations were good overall. Though we booked a room with two double beds, when we arrived at the hotel, we were given a suite with one queen bed. They said they could change the room but only if we paid additional money per night. They also said we could have a roll away for free. Neither option was sufficient and the staff were neither pleasant nor accommodating during that process. Additionally, we briefly misplaced our umbrella downstairs in the lobby. It had been put in lost and found. However, when we asked a staff person near where we left it she just acted like she had no idea about any umbrella and was very in accommodating or sympathetic. She also didn’t mention that if we didn’t find ours we could borrow one from the hotel.

The room and items in the room showed signs of wear and tear. The need was not comfortable.
