Really nice hotel that is centrally located. Everything was clean, the staff were great, and the property was in very good condition. We would definitely stay here again. FYI, free coffee in the lobby until 11:00am. It’s drip coffee but really good drip coffee

The room was very small for the price. There wasn’t a desk, just a tiny table and a bed. The lobby, bar, and meeting rooms were spacious and well decorated, so it made the room feel pretty disappointing. My partner lost his passport so we looked for it all over the room, and the spaces behind the fridge and heater were extremely dusty and hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Overall, I had a decent time. The best part about the hotel is the beautiful location next to the Empire State.

The location is great and the staff was really friendly and helpful! The downside…I’ve lived in the city many years ago and know that the city can be loud at anytime of the day. However, it felt like we were sleeping with the window opened. It seemed that the window was cracked because we could feel the old air coming through and I could hear every peep from outside. That said, I would arrive to the hotel super exhausted and did not hear much noise because I would pass out from the day.

Let the hotel property know three times that there was an empty mini bar alcohol container when we checked into our room. We consumed nothing from the mini bar and were charged after we left. Poorly run Hyatt. Mostly unhelpful front desk workers. Housekeeping does the bare minimum. We rarely had our sheets changed on a 19 day stay.

We stayed at the hotel for medical treatment at NYU. Had to cut our hotel stay short from 21 days to 19 days but the hotel & Expedia could care less and charged us for the full 21 days. In addition, the hotel charged us for mini bar items we did not consume. Would not recommend the hotel Seville Nomad. Stay at the the Motto in Chelsea for a better guest experience.

The location and room were great (deluxe double)- nice lobby with lukewarm coffee and fruit in the morning. Doorman didn’t open the door for you or help with luggage (there are some stairs to get into the front door). Otherwise a good experience.

This was a great find in the “NoMad” area of the city. It’s a beautiful old building and they’ve done a great job updating it and making it feel modern but cozy/boutique-y. Our room was clean and had some nice amenities. The restaurant had a good breakfast and they gave us a room credit upon checking that made it affordable. Either there was no one staying around/above/below us, or the walls are well sound-proofed. It’s only two blocks from Koreatown to the north, and an easy walk to other things our family was excited about, like the Harry potter store— easily the coolest store we’ve ever been to. Plenty of places to eat in the area, and Whole Foods is very nearby too. The hotel felt like a good deal given what other less-nice hotels in the area charge. Staff were all very nice and even let us check in early. We look forward to staying here again!

Extremely Disappointing & Invasive Experience

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was truly unacceptable.

On multiple occasions in the morning, hotel staff used a key card to enter my room without knocking or obtaining permission, while I was still inside. This didn’t happen just once — it happened more than once. Having someone enter your room unexpectedly while you’re inside is not just uncomfortable, it’s a serious violation of privacy and basic safety expectations. No guest should ever have to experience that.

Additionally, I requested slippers from the front desk, and it took an entire day for them to be delivered. While the issue was eventually resolved and service improved later, the initial delay and lack of responsiveness were frustrating and disappointing.

Privacy and prompt service are fundamental standards in hospitality. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet those standards.

I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves staff training, because no guest should feel unsafe or ignored during their stay.

The room was clean but not as it is in the pictures looks bigger. But friendly staff very clean hotel but we were charged $200 fee from our deposit and told us the hotel is charging $200 because we booked through Expedia and would not explain why and just told us it’s because of Expedia and Expedia told us that they have no clue and the hotel took that money and that was a huge mess that never got fixed. So be warned YOU WILL BE CHARGED $200 just for booking.

The hotel was overpriced for what it had to offer. It felt as if they wanted to squeeze every penny out of me while providing the worst accommodations. The room was small and the toilet was right at the corner of the bathroom making it uncomfortable to use. The booking also showed valet parking was available for $80 a day but the valet person advised me that we would be charged for every time we use the valet service. They advised me of this after i had already used it twice. The elevators are too small to accommodate the large amounts of people getting to their rooms. There were long lines during peak hours. Only two of the three elevators worked. Lastly the \"destination fee\" is a bogus fee that should not be there in the first place. They had me pay nearly $300 in addition to what i had already paid.

Besides the lobby and a few of the door men, this hotel is terrible. The rooms are old and tired in the most convalescent way. Hallway carpets are wrinkled, gasping on their last breath, the one in the room wasn’t much better. The shower had a brownish stain on the floor, there was rust/mold on the caulking, the fixtures i bad need of fixing, and a general deep cleaning was in order.

I asked the front desk to fix the sink, as my toddler would swish around the toothpaste-spit-water concoction pooling up. The engineer repaired it and decided to leave proof of his work by leaving the fistful of hair extracted from the plumbing and wadded up paper in the toilet. Maybe it was their verison of showing proof of life?

Service was poor overall. I asked for extra slippers due to the cootie carpet, but fell asleep after an hour of waiting. The staff ignored the “do not disturb sign” and knocked on the door when we still had another night there.

Room was not up to standards. Very very worn, tired and probably one of their smallest.
Originally placed across from elevator we requested a room change and feel we were penalized.
In the past we have been recognized as returning guest and treated with appreciation and recognition.
Since change in ownership hotel has a different vibe not for the better.
Front desk upon check was not responsive to concerns.( room placement and no water for 24 hours)
We have been staying here since 2018.
Management were made aware of disappointing stay and did provide a small discount.
Will have to seriously think about staying at this hotel in the future.

Everything at this hotel feels thoughtfully curated. The servers are warm and attentive, the menu typography is beautifully sized and easy to read, and the natural light pouring through the windows creates a stunning atmosphere. I loved the intimate private nooks, the slippers placed by the bed, and the fresh fruit bowl waiting in the room. Even the small rotary phone was a charming touch.

From the live jazz in the lobby to the moments in between, the musical experience is flawless. When the band isn’t playing, even the curated streaming playlist feels perfectly chosen and elevates the atmosphere.

The entire property has a gorgeous, cohesive ambiance. You can tell the team pays attention to every detail—even the tone and warmth of the staff’s voices contribute to the experience. Truly exceptional.

Clean room. A little small, but typical for NYC. I stayed with my 10 year old daughter and the cleaning service did a great job of vacuuming our crumbs from late night in room snacking. Some minor inconveniences with the lighting. Track lighting behind the bed would flash ever few minutes when the lights were off. We used towels to block the lighting so it wasn’t a big deal, but the room was a little dark as a result.

Very close to the 28th st subway station made it very easy to get to broadway shows, which we did several times.

The room was very tidy and spacious enough for a person to stay. I stayed for 5 nights, house keeping was done very promptly and staffs felt all welcoming when entering/exiting the building. Have not tried breakfast but I highly recommend on staying at Seville Nomad 👍

Location was good for most walking ventures in Midtown. Nice staff and cleaning crew. Sadly we had someone else’s left behind underwear under the bed frame, also a hair clip. How are these items missed? The evening “wine tasting” they advertise in the evening is a joke. Put out 1 bottle of red & white so when it’s gone, it’s gone. We never got a glass. Same for morning apples/oranges. The so called bar was open only 1 night of the 6 nights we were there and VERY expensive. So you had to go to the ever more expensive attached Scarpetto’s Italian restaurant and pay $30 for a glass. Luckily we found a cute Irish pub across the street. Just mediocre

The rooms are lovely, expecially if you upgrade to a deluxe room. The staff is superb. The neighborhood has a nice atmosphere , great coffee shops, Whole Foods a block away, and it allows easy access if you are in New York to see art: (quick bus or subway or cab to Chelsea, Soho, Midtown, Uptown.

First, wrinkled, mismatched and smelly carpet in the hallways of the 6th floor.
Room carpet was clearly dated as well. Worst was the bathroom. I opened the door to it and it hit the toilet. I had to squeeze around to shut the door behind me.
The major issue however was the full size, clearly uninsulated window in the shower stall which made the bathroom freezing unless the door was left open to get heat from the rest of the room.
At a Hyatt? Come on. Don’t put your name on a tired hotel until it’s upgraded.
I complained and got the “destination fee” removed but at checkout I had to have it removed again.

The room was fine. It's New York, so it wasn't spacious -- basically just a bed and a chair. The bathroom is very tight -- we had to walk sideways between the sink and the door to get to the toilet. Also our sink didn't drain properly.

The room we had was fantastic. A very good size for staying in NYC, superb storage space and a nice bathroom. The hotel foyer is nice, modern and comfortable as well as the corridors. The cleaning staff were very good and made sure the room was great each day. The location of the hotel is ideal, close to 2/3 subway lines for travelling around the city. Would recommend the hotel most definitely.
