I usually don’t write reviews. I would avoid this hotel unless your other option is to sleep on a park bench or a roach hotel. For $400 a night, it was extremely disappointing. It took 20 min to ride the elevator down from the 26th floor, and it sometimes took just as long to ride up. The rooms are extremely small. The elevators are poorly designed, and only 2 of the 4 seem to function. The elevators were packed. The breakfast is good for people who can’t afford to buy anything anywhere else—low quality motel style breakfast. The staff were helpful and polite but there is nothing they could do. Even if they would offer me to stay there for free, I would not. On a positive note and to be fair, the rooms were clean and updated.

Fantastic location overall and for the city view in particular, e.g. Empire State Building from your window.
Room two double beds could have been a bit bigger than its current size. But the size would not deter me from returning for another stay.

Hotel was in a great location- easy to get to from subway and Penn Station. We got REALLY lucky and got a high floor with an amazing view- the best I have ever had in NYC. The room was as expected for NYC, pretty small for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids), but was clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was ok- nothing special, basic breakfast. I know others said elevators took a long time, but we did not have that issue. Overall, we would recommend and definitely stay here again!

conveniently located in Chelsea for the graduation we attended in the area.
major reason we would not likely return is the room- seriously like a tiny box. we were two adults and a teenager and there was not even a place to open our suitcase. bathroom was micro small and you could barely turn around in it. water pressure was poor considering it’s nyc water pressure is always great usually.
the beds were very comfortable but also small for queen they were more like small full size.
water was $6 a bottle in the room unless you were an elite member- a bit extreme!
Hallways were packed with rooms but no nice decor and again tight space wise.

The staff was excellent but I would not recommend the hotel. The rooms are extremely small, just a little larger than a cabin on a cruise ship. It had a small closet, but that was it. No chair, no desk, no drawers of any type to put my clothes in, and no area to put my luggage. The only way to use the computer was to either sit or lie on the bed.

The breakfast buffet was good, however, and well maintained. The hotel is well located in that it was just a block away from the subway.

Our room had an awesome view of the Empire State Building which was especially inspiring at night. We will return to this hotel again. The view alone warrants it. Our breakfast was my only complaint. We will get breakfast elsewhere next time.

We spent 5nights there and room service was done on daily basis, clean towels etc. the breakfast on 2nd level we enjoyed every day. The rooms are so small but in Manhattan what do you aspect? Need more elevators there, it’s a busy place. Pricy but Overall it was a great experience.

This hotel was clean and updated. The bed was a little too firm for me. The breakfast that was served each day as part of your amenities was excellent. It was a bountiful buffet of many breakfast foods. Also the staff that maintained it were constantly keeping it clean. Restaurant Staff members were friendly and accommodating!

Front desk staff weren't very friendly. The woman that sits at the desk by stairs going to cellar looked depressed and wouldn't make eye contact when asked a question. Rooms are insanely small and no slippers provided. Felt like a 3* property. Breakfast staff member was good - efficient in clearing tables. Okay spread - no croissants, the muffins were horrendous (tasted like chemicals). I would stay elsewhere next visit. No idea how this place is 4*.

Hotel service was terrible. One day we were out most of the day. On return at about 5pm, the room had not been cleaned or bed made. I wanted to rest and take a shower.
When the maid came to the door I told her that I didn't want her to come in at that time. When we talked to the front desk on leaving for dinner, we were told that nothing could be done to clean the room at that time.

The elevators are poorly arranged in 2 pairs. If one stands at one location there is no way to see if the elevator has arrived at the other location.

The concierge was asked for guidance in choosing a restaurant nearby. She had no knowledge of nearby restaurants, and offered no information or maps.

The elaborate breakfast was marred by the helter-skelter dining arrangement. No small tables for people who wanted to sit together, but merely long tables and chairs. One needed to negotiate with others to arrange for sitting together. It made a middle school dining room look elegant.

We were soooo very disappointed with the property and surprised as Hyatt hotels are typically luxurious . We changed rooms three! times before we got the room we booked with the view we wanted! The first two they sent us to had buildings right in front of them . There were three of us. The room is 150 or so sq feet which means nothing until you get there . It meant that when we opened the pullout couch we had no access to the door and did not have a place for all three of us to sit . We were tripping over our three tiny carry on suitcases. The room was TINY and we were told ALL the rooms are that small! The rooms were $500 per night which is outrageous for what we got! If there are more than two people or if someone gets claustrophobic, I definitely do not recommend!

The check in process was very quick, I was offered a beautiful room looking over the River. The staff was very helpful in many incidents that happen. I was surprised with house keeping service without asking which was a great touch. Overall beautiful rooms and beautiful people. Will definitely be back!!!

Red flag: Elevator wait time one day was 9 minutes, I thought something was wrong. Never seen this before. 20 plus stories so you definitely cannot walk stairs with luggage. Had to wake up 30 minutes early because of this unkown. Defeats hotel location for proximity and time saving. It's a real concern.

Breakfast was average. Never used the bar. The big problem is the lack of lift. Sometimes had to wait 10 minutes for it to arrive, especially in the morning on the way to breakfast. Because of extensive use, the lift was out of action as well. Otherwise, a clean hotel. Housekeeping was always available for any request. Friendly staff.

The breakfast was disappointing once items ran out, like creamer for your coffee, they were not restocked.
The room itself was great: clean, cozy, and perfect for getting a good night’s rest.
The elevators, however, were a nightmare. During breakfast hours (8:00–9:45 AM), you could wait up to 30 minutes just to find one that wasn’t full. It was often faster to take the elevator up first if you needed to go down, but even then, it stopped on nearly every floor because everyone was trying to get to breakfast.
To make matters worse, one elevator was reserved exclusively for the cleaning crew, which only added to the congestion during the morning rush.

I reserved the king bedroom with no view. The hotel room was very small, but typical New York size. Great for solo travelers or maybe 2 people if you’re comfortable being close and being a foot away from the toilet with a barn door. The room was very clean, and I appreciated the daily housekeeping which most hotels don’t do anymore post covid. Complimentary breakfast is an option and there is an onsite restaurant as well. The elevators did lag sometimes but that was the only negative. There is a Whole Foods and a convenience store just around the corner as well as coffee shops, pizza, and the 23rd street subway.
