The room was overall clean. It was just a little dusty. We assumed no one had been in the room in a while. I simply wiped it down with Clorox wipes and kept it moving. The linen was clean and staff said I could request anything else I needed for the room (kitchen items, linen etc.) we were there for 3 days. Housekeeping was amazing and so was the staff at the desk. It was close to the mall . We will be back in about a month.

Our water wasn’t hot and the toilet wouldn’t flush. When we told the night staff about the issues they barely cared to fix the issues. There was a huge red stain on the carpet when we walked in.

The room was not the cleanest but i have seen worse. It wasnt bad enough to raise a fuss over. There was trash piled by the elavators and outside many of the rooms.

The tv didnt work, there was a connection issue. On the second day they were able to get a few channels working. Not really anything most people would want to watch.

The toilet clogged several times. We are normal people and have never clogged toilets before by the way. Of course you dont know this until you go to use it. Well this place doesnt have a restroom to use in the lobby which i have never seen before. So while needing to go to the bathroom had to wait for someone to track down a plunger for me to take care of the issue so i could use the toilet. One of the maintenance people was pretty rude during this encounter. The people at the main counter were helpful.

Overall this place isnt worth half what they charge. I will be reaching out in regards to this. $460 for 3 nights in a dirty, trashy hotel with basically no tv, and dont even ask about the "breakfast" granola bars, mini muffins and instant oatmeal. Total joke. This was a waste of money and i will never step foot in that place ever again. Highlight was the coffee was good.

Everything worked properly and was clean. The location is very old and run down, particularly in the bath tubs. The road traffic was very loud with Rt. 3 being right next door. The parking was easy and the location was overall convenient and felt safe.

I originally booked the room to take my son to American dream we ended up getting snowed in. I booked the room for a second night. Every thing was closed due to the blizzard I wasn’t able to get my son food and the lady from the front desk. I’m not quite sure what was her name, but she was a god’s sent angel and helped me feed my kid that night.

My room wasn’t bad. I just wished theywould have changed the curtains because the curtains have holes in them. And the microwave I just think after a incident happened with a dog pooped in front of my door I think at least the manager could’ve at least say something to me, but besides the hotel is fine.

One of the worst places i've stayed. we got a bottle of water a check in but on day two they said they didn't have any. the breakfast is just snacks and cheap coffee. the rooms are dirty, the tub is gross with no tub plug and no water pressure, the windows are too dirty to see out of, the kitchen is old and not taken care off, there was no free coffee or tea in the room, not even water, no bags for laundry, no laundry soap vending machine, run down and smelly everywhere, the beds were old and hard and there was no extra blankets. i don't know anyone here for an extended stay could live or afford it when you'd have to buy so much that typical hotels give you for free. the soap and towels were vey low quality. the place looked nothing like the photos.

Location was great. Very close to Train Station and Meadowlands/American Dream Mall so easy access to anywhwre you want to go. Free Parking is also a great perk. The rooms were old and run down...our stove top was so rusted we were afraid to use it. The water stains on the shower insert and beat up bathtub made the shower look dirty but it was clean. The beds were terrible if you enjoy sleep. We went in winter and lost hot water 2 of the 4 nights we visited. When we called about it they told us to just wait and it should come back. It was back the next day but when you are out all day and want a shower before bed, it can be annoying...especially when the response was so flippant. The "breakfast" was coffee and a packaged muffin - and a nutrigrain bar if you got there early enough. Overall the stay didnt ruin our experience but I think next time I am in the area I would look for a different hotel near that location.

Breakfast was limited, just a coffee bar and few things. The place smelled like cigarettes from the outside to the hallways, the whole building needs renovation. The bathtub is dirty, shower curtain super old and dirty, the bed and pillows have a smell and stains. We felt very uncomfortable, was a one night stay and it was very late so we just decided to stay.

I booked a king-bed room at this Extended Stay location, but when I arrived to check in, I was told there were no more king rooms available. They did offer me a discount for the inconvenience, which I appreciated, but things went downhill from there.

As I walked down the hallway to look at the queen room, I noticed a dirty mop sitting in a bucket outside someone’s door, and the entire first-floor hallway had a strong smell similar to old apartment buildings. The carpet in the hallway was dirty, and the overall atmosphere didn’t feel clean or well-maintained.

When I got to the room, the bed frame looked extremely cheap, almost like something you’d find in a college dorm or a shelter — not what I expected for a paid hotel stay. Even the pillows didn’t look comfortable, and I couldn’t see myself getting a good night’s rest there.

Because of all this, I decided to request a refund. The customer service staff were very professional, polite, and helpful, and they processed my refund with no issue. Their service was the best part of the experience.

Unfortunately, the condition of the hotel itself made me uncomfortable, and I chose not to stay.

Location for MetLife was ideal. Staff was rude, room was nasty. Paid more than I should have thinking it was going to be nicer. Bedding had black curly hairs like the sheets weren’t changed. The soap in the shower was used, had hair stuck on it, was put back in wrapper, and placed on “clean linen” with shampoo. The room smelled like feet and spaghetti o’s. Breakfast only had sugary creamer, when I asked for creamer without added sugar, (packets even) tall staff member wearing headphones said “guess you gotta drink it black” and walked away. When I showed the front desk the used/open soap he rolled his eyes like I was inconveniencing his stay. Will choose another place to stay next time.

This Hotel is awesome!!!

My son and I drove down from Albany New York to attend the Giants vs Jets game and go to Nickelodeon Universe in American Dream Mall in East Rutherford NJ and we booked a night in the Secaucus NJ Extended Stay. It was very clean, cozy, the television offered premium channels and the continental breakfast was convenient. The staff were absolutely amazing and more than generous going above and beyond for us. When we return to the NJ area we will be booking this hotel again.

Very dirty, not worth the price

The room was filthy, with stains everywhere and mold in the bathtub. The sheets appeared to be clean, thankfully, although I must admit I was afraid to look too hard. Additionally, the room had a terrible smell as soon as I walked through the door, which I never managed to get over.

As a whole, the building itself was in poor condition too. The front door had peeling paint, the stairwell was dirty and poorly lit, and the computer system for check-in was horribly slow.

The advertised free breakfast was very disappointing as well. There was no area to eat in, and the food consisted of Nutri-Grain bars and tiny plastic-wrapped muffins.

One good thing about this place, and the only reason I rated it two stars instead of one, is that the staff was helpful and friendly. I showed up about an hour before check-in, and the room was ready for me. This was very helpful, as I had somewhere I needed to be at the same time check-in was supposed to start.

Overall, despite being pleased with the staff's service, I was very disappointed with this hotel. At almost $300 for the night, I would have at least expected the building to be in good condition and the room to be clean. I will not be coming back here again, and I recommend you don't either unless you are willing to put up with motel-like conditions for 3x the price.

Hotel was average - we chose this hotel since we were attending a concert at Met-Life - we had to take Ubers to get from place to place. Having a hotel shuttle to pick up/drop off from the NJ Transit Center would have been nice.

I liked the welcome gift and check in was easy - always good to get a bottle of water with a bag of chips.

Breakfast was underwhelming - muffins and Nutrigrain bars.

There was a peculiar smell in the bathroom - wet towel smell with a musty odor.

I booked 2 suites, each with 2 double beds, for 3 nights. However, upon arrival, the property had only 1 suite with 2 double beds available. As a result, we were given that suite and another one with a queen bed and a rollaway bed.

We are a family of 4 — 2 adults, 1 child, and 1 toddler — and had to adjust in the suite with the queen bed. The rollaway bed was extremely uncomfortable, and I ended up with back pain after sleeping on it.

On the evening of the second day, we were finally moved to another suite with 2 double beds. My friend and his family (2 adults and 2 kids) stayed in the other double-bed suite. Unfortunately, that suite had ants, no water in the bathroom sink, and very low water pressure in the shower. These issues were only fixed on the third day of our 4-day stay.

Another major disappointment was the so-called "complimentary breakfast." The hotel advertised it prominently, but all they offered were muffins and coffee — no fruits, no bread, not even water or juice. It felt misleading and far below basic expectations.

For all the inconvenience, both my friend and I were compensated with a refund of just 30% of one day’s charges out of the 4 days we stayed.

Overall, the experience was quite disappointing given what we had booked and expected.

The room was disgusting

This hotel has declined over the last couple years. The cleanliness of the room was questionable. The bathtub looked like it hasn't been scrubbed/cleaned properly in some time. Tbe carpet also was disgusting. I ended up checking out after staying their for one night and was charged an additional $100 for breaking my "contract", which was worth it, because i really couldn't stay in that place any longer. Needless to say i won't be staying there anymore.
