Our stay was horrible because the guy that was supposed to give us the keys to the apartment did not give us key because we were not ready for their Time share events and it was only my husband key that worked, I can’t imagine if we had stayed more the days we booked. It would have been horrible. We called to complain but there any follow up.

This is a TIME SHARE, so expect to be upsold. It took me almost an hour just to check in because they want to sell you something else. This place is nice and lovely during the week, but on weekends it becomes a Carnival Cruise line. Loud people and crowded. This is a property for families with lots of kids. If you are a couple or have older teen kids I would skip it. The rooms are comfortable, but dated, and the amenities are designed for kids.

We enjoy having the option to prepare our own meals. While small, the kitchen was well outfitted. We didn’t use the amenities but since the rest of the property was clean and well maintained I imagine those are as well. Quiet and helpful staff.

I booked a stay at Club Wyndham Kingsgate in Williamsburg for my husband’s birthday celebration, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing from start to finish. I had noted in my reservation that we were celebrating my husband’s birthday, but there was no acknowledgment or small gesture to make the stay feel special. While I understand this may not always be guaranteed, even a simple “happy birthday” would have been appreciated. The check-in process was frustrating and much longer than it should have been. Instead of a quick and easy check-in, we were sent to two separate people just to get our room keys. After driving five hours and being pregnant, the last thing I wanted was to be delayed and pressured into listening to a sales pitch about attending an orientation for timeshares. I understand the employee was doing their job, but it felt very pushy and inappropriate when we were simply trying to start our weekend and relax. It immediately made us feel uncomfortable and honestly made us not want to book here again.
The $250 security deposit was also shocking, especially since it was more than what I paid for the room itself. This should be made much clearer upfront. Once we got to the room, things did not improve. The room was outdated, had an unpleasant smell, and much of the furniture had visible stains, chips, and general wear. To make matters worse, I noticed several very small black bugs in the shower area, which was unacceptable.

Our unit was clean but very dated. Lacked bedding for sleeper sofa. This was recified promptly however did require 2 requests.

On booking did not realize this was a time share resort and was lured into time share presentation with the offer of generous gift.

I hated the check in process. The desk leans very hard into booking you a \"welcome tour\" and promises all these gifts. Obviously gping to be a time share pitch. Way to much time wasted on saying no, and them not taking no as the answer. Its late, ive been on the road for hours, i wanna lay down, not being treated dofferent for not wanting their \"tour\". I will pay more to stay elsewhere on my next trip to Williamsburg.

we did not use any ammenities as we were there 2 nights. But it was spacious for an excellent price, as it was the off season.
My only beef was that the sales presentation went on and on and my assigned sales people, who were very nice, did not keep their presentation (and accompanying sales pressure) to the agreed upon time. I basically felt captured/kidnapped! They did finally give me the gifts.

The condo was clean. Upon arrival there was food particals in the sink. I rinse that away.

The king bed was not up to par from my precious stays at Wyndham. The padding was good however the quality of the mattress itself was poor. It felt like we slept in a whole. I had to use ALL of the pillows in thecondo to make it through the first night.

This stay was suppose to be a rest and relaxing weekend. I did not report anything because I did not want a fuss.

The bedroom door felt like it was off the hindge. The door also sticks.

Otherwise the property and the amenities of the property was great.

It would have been helpful to CALL the cafe to order food. I call the front desk to get an extention and was advised there wasn't an extension. Therefore I orderedd door dash instead.

The property gave us an uncleaned room when we arrived late at night with our three children (all under 7). After complaining, we were moved to another room that was outdated and dusty.

When we were ready for bed, my husband tried to set up the sofa bed, but there were no extra pillows or a comforter. We called room service twice and were told each time that someone would bring them, but no one ever came. We didn’t receive those items until the next morning—when we were already checking out.

Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and we will not be returning.

Great place for our weekend stay in Williamsburg. Only complaint was we could hear every step the people above us made. Wasn’t a big issue because they were early to bed but it could be an issue if someone above is up late walking around. We played mini golf, heard the history story around the campfire, and listened to music in the lounge. Fun stay.

This is a time share property. When we checked in, we were made to go to another desk to, \"get the keys.\" Well, surprise, surprise, this was when we met with the \"concierge\" who was signing us up for a 90 minute meeting for 9 am the next day to learn all about Club Wyndham. We said no multiple times and that was just not acceptable. We only finally got away when I told them we'd go and when they tried to make me sign something saying I'd go, I refused. We had to change rooms on day two because our first room was on the 2nd floor and the floor above us was so squeaky we were all awake at 6 am when the people above us woke up. We also discovered there weren't any pots/pans in the kitchen. The second room was better because we were on the 3rd floor. There aren't elevators so prepare for the squeaky ceilings if you're unable to go up stairs.

The property is beautiful and there are a lot of things to do on property. The putt putt course is great and a full 18 holes. I liked that towels were available at the activities center desk and were a decent size for the pool. There are a lot of pools but I wish the hot tub had less kids in it so it was actually possible to get in it. My oldest and my husband loved the giant chess game.

We won't go back because of the aggressive attempt to get us to buy into their property but it was a nice place overall.

Pool was closed due to glass broken. Maybe wouldn’t have happened if they had better supervision on property. Kids are running around the area, climbing on the rocks by the waterfall,etc. furniture it’s very dated and uncomfortable as a rock! Golf carts are constantly going and very loud! Checking in I told the gal my husband had a heart condition and she put us on the second floor and NOT walking distance to the pool/ammenties!!

Excellent resort accommodation with many things to do with the family! During our 4-night stay, we enjoyed the swimming pools, game room, mini-golf, cinema ,playground, fire pit and on-site restaurant for take-out. Great location for area attractions such as Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. We will be return-guests.

The place has nice amenities, the cleanliness was ok, but not everything was clean in the room, carpets were not clean and one of the bathrooms had lots of small hair. Otherwise it was pretty good. Would be great if there were screens on the doors and windows, the weather was great but with no screens it is hard to keep the bugs away if you open the balcony door or window for example.
One thing we didn’t like was how long it takes to check in, it took at least 30 minutes wait. They had one person checking in and about 10 others trying to sell time shares. Not the greatest check in process and after all the wait the try to sell you something

If there was a rating of beyond excellent I would have chosen this option! This property is WONDERFUL!!! Staff is kind and helpful, property and buildings are clean, location is so convenient to everything ! This property has indoor pool, outdoor pools, pool side bar, pizza place, sauna, hot tub- did I mention some of the pools are heated ?! There is a pinball arcade , video arcade, places for kids to print game controllers and play video games, tennis, mini golf, giant chess, pool, air hockey, a lego brick room, giant chess, projector games, a movie theater , AND scheduled activities like cheese making , campfire ghost stories and so much more ! Did I ALSO mention that all the activities are FREE !!!! My 10 year old and 6 year old say that this property is BETTER THAN GREAT WOLF LODGE! They now want to come here instead of go there ! There are so many things that I know I’m missing to add in this review! There are even grills for cooking out if you choose ! Sherri in the activity center was super helpful and informative about the amenities and a pleasure to talk to - my family did NOT want to leave. We will definitely staying here again - more than likely we will be coming to the area JUST to stay here again! I highly recommend this property !!

Overall we really enjoyed our two nights here. The 3rd floor room was so quiet, clean and comfortable. It was great that we each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The only negative was that the air conditioning would only go down to 68*. It was unseasonably warm while we were there and the bedrooms were way too warm at night to sleep well. It was quite discouraging that we couldn’t lower the temp to a more preferred level.

The overall room and staff were excellent. I understand the winter strom can effect some activities. Only thing that really bother us was that there was no more treating of the sidewalks. When we checked in the ice melt was down and when we checked out it was all iced over and nothing else had been done since Saturday.

The guest bedroom bed was broken (needed to be replaced), the shower drain and sink drain were completely blocked in the guest bathroom, there was fecal matter left on the toilet, the condo was not cleaned when we arrived, the trashcan was broken. They gave us a unit that should not be offered to a customer, ever.

It was horrible. We arrived at 4pm, our adult children had just flown in for the holiday, only to find out at the counter thry had overbooked the resort and automatically bumped our reservation to seperate rooms. They didn't even make the rooms adjoining. Huge disappointment and completely altered the ability to open presents together as a family. I am so mad. I want a complete refund. The manager contacted the booking company while we all stood at the front desk counter, the help line hung up on her twice. So awful. ItI thought I was booking for a 2bdrm hotel suite and it was a timeshare nightmare. Grrr....

My room did not have a working fan in the bedroom and was only on the lowest setting so we had to buy a fan to set in a chair. The washing machine did not work. It did not drain and spin so my clothes were soaked with water that I had to hand wring out and dry in small amounts so I was still doing laundry after midnight. Our next door neighbors children kept trying to get into our room from the connecting door and then were throwing shoes, running up and down in the stairs, etc at 9:30pm. We had to talk to them multiple times. I was there because I was burying my Mother in Williamsburg Memorial Park Cemetery and truly did not need any of this. Also, a 10am checkout seems way too early.

The time share was rude and disrespectful we were told that we were going to get a free gift and when we got there they told us if we didn't stay at a 90 min meeting that we didn't know anything about we would not be refunded the $60 charged in our 💳. The room's view was great. The bathroom made the whole weekend poor at best. 1)Spigot was reversed...cold water to the left, hot water to the right. 2) bathroom's hot water was an incredibly poor trickle. It took so long to get hot, and then the wait to wet my whole cloth was ridiculous because the pressure was pretty much non-existent...but the cold water had strong, fast pressure....so irritating to have no hot water on the sink in the bathroom. And 3) the bathroom fan was ridiculously loud and intense...sounded like a whale mating call and fingernails scratching a chalkboard all at the same time. I was concerned I was disturbing the family in the unit next to ours, it was so loud. The unit was really nice...UNTIL that awful bathroom. it made being in the whole unit very uncomfortable and I really wanted to move. One thing for sure, we will never be in that unit again. We invited friends to join us, and they got a suite below us, at our request. That's the only reason I didn't complain; I knew it could be a headache moving us both. But our suite's bathroom made being in that whole unit absolutely awful. The bathroom is one of the most important features of comfort for a woman - the kitchen is the next; Well, this unit's comfort failed miserably because of that poor bathroom!...that trickling hot water and the obnoxious fan must be fixed.

We always love staying at Club Wyndham Kingsgate. Great spread out design. Rooms are clean. Staff is very friendly. Great location to visit places throughout Williamsburg. Our only negative in our entire experience is the checkin procedure that requires you to visit their condo sales desk to obtain your room keys (bracelets) from a pressure intense salesman. While polite, they are persistent and try to get you to meet with them to discuss purchasing a condo or time share. That's not how we want to spend our vacation time. All said, we'll be back but we'd recommend changing check in procedures.

Our teenager's said sofa bed wasn't comfortable but they managed to sleep. Lol. Kitchenette was great. The few days we spent there were great. You are extremely close to almost everything Williamsburg had to offer. We felt safe and secure while on property. Kudos Kingsgate!

We couldn't have been happier with Kingsgate. All staff were pleasant and helpful; the unit was squeaky clean; the grounds beautifully kept, the amenities and activities on site were wonderful and covered all ages, babies to retirees. We also enjoyed the poolside restaurant with pleasant service and good quality food and drink. (Highly recommend “Doughboy” cider!”)

My son and I stayed in a two bedroom suite. It was clean for the most part with the exception of the master bath. The facet had toothpaste or soap residue and there was a partly used soap bar in the shower.
The walls are thin and we could hear the downstairs guests. It was fine with the fan on

There was a hard sale to sign up for a time share presentation. That I was first told was mandatory. I arrived at the property at 8 pm, was tired and wanted to go get dinner before getting a goodnight rest for the college tour the next day. The sales agent was persistent and would not take no for an answer. I should have walked away and when I finally lost my temper asking for a supervisor, I as told it was only a courtesy to receive a free gift that was set up by my third party booker. Hotels Dot com , did you arrange for me to get a gift?

Never again with this one.

Great place of you gave little kids but I was there purely for college visiting and already had an agenda.

The activity room and pool was my childrens favorite part. I loved the gym. The room needs an update and better cleaning. I was told on the second day that we weren’t supposed to be in that room. Overall, we had a good time.
