The breakfast food was wonderful. We were in The South Hampton Room and the bed was very difficult to get in and out of; they provided a step stool to help to get in the bed. They do not clean the rooms on a daily unless you ask the servant to do so during breakfast. To obtain clean towels, you must retrieve them from the storage closet. Unfortunately, there was a sewage type smell in the stairwell that would sometimes invade the rest of the house. The home sits alongside the college campus, so you will hear lots of traffic, since the windows are older.

Sewer smell coming from the room we stayed in on the bottom floor. The one staff member tried pouring bleach in the shower and toilet but the smell never went away. They never offered to adjust our stay or move us. The owner never came to address the situation. Glad we only booked three nights.

Told me they were moving us across the street because of a supposedly simultaneous booking of the whole house while the owner was 'out of the country' (despite it all being digital online). Room we were told we were getting was smaller and the bed was a twin trundle for my two teens. Was told I would get photos of the refurbished room but never received. Very poor customer service.

The b&b is adorable, walking distance to everything, and the breakfast is homemade cooked fresh and absolutely delicious! Feels more like you are spending your vacation in a nice home with all the amenities rather than a hotel/inn since they keep it so quaint and homey! There are so many things to love about this property-it’s one that we keep coming back to over and over. First, it’s beautiful. Secondly, it’s location cannot be beat for anything Colonoal Williamsburg and W&M. Last but not least, the breakfast is insanely good-I would stay here for that reason alone!

Parking was challenging each day of our stay waiting for other vehicles blocking the driveway to move due to an event that was being staged. Breakfast staff was excellent and breakfast each day was outstanding. No housecleaning was performed even though sign was left out to tidy our room. Air conditioning levels were inconsistent (albeit it was an extremely hot weekend). Bed was very creaky and floors noisy.

Overgrown neglected crowded garden /patio area. Being that its the first thing one sees after parking, it gives the impression of being uncared for. Beautiful home. Great kitchen with very generous snacks/drinks/food. We did not stay for breakfast as it would have been crowded having only one table. I was not comfortable with that. The morning hostess was lovely and eagerly offered ice and hoped I’d stay for the fresh muffins. The ones made the day before were delicious. The bed was fine. Bathroom small but fine. Clean is really all I care about in that regard. But the room was over decorated. Too much furniture. Too much artwork. Lovely things but it was too much. The tv was way too big. Removing some of the things in this room might go a long way to making it more restful and comfortable. We had to turn sideways to get past the bed. On top of all that we were never greeted by anyone. Just an envelope with my name on it hanging near the front door. It felt like we were an afterthought, and it was not the welcome we had hoped for. At this price point there are certain expectations. I saw a few of the other rooms. Some are a bit larger. My husband had to put his luggage in the armoire. And because the room was so crowded he couldn’t open the right hand door far enough to see inside it to find what he needed. Would I recommend…unsure. Didn’t eat breakfast…that’s on me. But it just left me uninspired. The home is beautifully decorated.

Exceptional chef, Maggie!
Maggie was an exceptional chef and made the most delicious breakfasts for us each morning. She was not only excellent at what she did but she was incredibly engaging and friendly. She truly cared about her guests, which made us feel so welcome. This property is perfect for walking to the William & Mary College for a college tour AND Colonial Williamsburg for touring. The perfect location! Even if the property was old, it was overall well cared for. We would definitely stay here again!

The breakfast and daily fresh baked muffins were incredible! We also loved that it was walking distance to colonial Williamsburg. The first floor yellow room was so convenient for taking our dog out. My one suggestion would be to replace the mattress because it was very saggy and gave us sore backs.

Visit Williamsburg every year, 1st time at Williamsburg Manor, will definitely be back, accommodations were excellent along with the breakfast by Chef Maggie, everybody was friendly and helpful. Stayed two nights, great walking distance from Merchant Square, weather was great! Surprised my wife with this visit, she fell in love with the house furnishings and decorations.

The B&B is charming and cozy. It is decorated with lovely period furniture complimented with more current accents. All rooms have their own bathrooms, house keeper is very accommodating. The chef is amazing and makes the most delicious breakfasts with nice European additions. She also takes care of the profusion of live plants that decorate the home. Treat yourself and stay here!

What a lovely Bed and Breakfast! Each room has a private bathroom and is uniquely decorated with colonial and eclectic decor pieces. The common spaces are clean and welcoming. Fresh coffee and water is available throughout the day and snacks, including any leftover muffins from that morning’s breakfast. The breakfast is made fresh each morning by the amazing chef, Maggie, and offer a variety of fresh fare. Maggie takes fresh to the next level. Everything is baked from scratch! She keeps chickens that provide the eggs, she makes her own sausage, and she grows herbs and vegetables in a lovely kitchen garden. We will definitely be back!

Nice Inn for an overnight or weekend stay
We were greeted with an envelope with keys taped to the front door. The note said that they were out and would be back shortly. We did not see the personnel during our stay other than a young woman who came to repair the television and the chef in the kitchen. Breakfast was excellent and the chef was extremely pleasant and helpful. The mattress was not very comfortable as it caused us to roll towards the middle. the gardens were full of color and the Inn itself was lovely and wonderfully decorated.

The B&B matches well with the community and lets you really experience the period of Colonial Williamsburg. The B&B was extremely warm and cozy, it definitely felt like home instead of a vacation. Great attention was taken in the details of the B&B and the condition of the place was well taken care of. Due to COVID, some services were suspended, but breakfast was not. The highlight of the trip was the hand-made breakfast by Maggie. She was sweet and her food deserving of a Michelin Star. My girlfriend and I look forward to staying here again.

We had a wonderful time staying at Williamsburg Manor. Room was comfy (albeit a bit small). The house itself had amazing Christmas decorations and felt super cozy. There was a breakfast served every morning, which exceeded all of our expectations (freshly baked muffins, pancakes, eggs, bacon, fruit, etc.). Highly recommend!

After a long day of driving, we were greeted with a warm welcome by the owner upon arrival, immaculate and beautifully decorated rooms, and the charm of the entire B&B. The beds were extremely comfortable and we all got an amazing night's sleep. The next morning, a delightful and bountiful breakfast was prepared for us and we ate it in the garden that was brimming with flowers. A true gem!

The inn was beautifully decorated, very clean with a lovely housekeeping and chef staff. The only strange thing was the owners were not to be seen. One of the other guests let us in, so that was different than our usual B and B experience. That said, we would definitely go back. What made this place special was the breakfast- it was amazing both days! AMAZING!!!! Another great thing was the location- you can park your car and walk to William & Mary or Colonial Williamsburg. The downfalls are the heat and hot water when others are showering ( or lack of) . It was freezing on the first floor and SO HOT on the top floor. I know it’s an old house but I’d really like the facilities working a bit better.

There is no one to greet you at this inn. Your key is taped to the door and you just let yourself in. I don't think I ever saw the innkeeper. The lady who makes the breakfast in the morning is lovely. Otherwise, I saw no staff. I never got a final bill because I never saw anyone but the lady who makes the breakfast. The water in the shower goes from hot to scalding with no warning.The room I stayed in was on the first floor right next to the back entrance and somewhat isolated. It was very poorly lit. The property is very old and the bathroom needs some work. Real B&B's have staff that greets you at the door; the lack of a staff presence made it feel like you're just renting a room. I purposely chose a B& B because I am a woman who was traveling alone. I think the Holiday Inn has a more personal touch.

Lovely, stately old home converted to a comfortable B&B in a quiet, upscale neighborhood just 3 minute walk to William & Mary, and 5 minute walk to both colonial Williamsburg and general shopping. Very safe neighborhood!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Williamsburg Manor. We liked the proximity to Merchant Square. Breakfast was fabulous! It is a very quaint, lovely and quiet B&B to spend an evening or more.

A Beautiful Home Close to Historic Williamsburg
This was our second stay at the beautiful Williamsburg Manor. Breakfast was outstanding and we appreciated how friendly Miss Paulette was ~ she made our mornings absolutely joyful!! Our only complaint is the lack of receptacles to charge our devices and the bathroom was pretty small, but that's understandable due to the historical aspect of this home.
While it's a long walk to Market Square and the entrance to Historic Williamsburg, it is doable as well as pleasant, as the walk is alongside the beautiful campus of William and Mary College.
Staying at the Williamsburg Manor was an enjoyable experience and we hope to return in the future.

The House was lovely! Breakfast was great. It was easy to arrive after hours as we were driving from a distance. The one problem is that it was freezing in our rooms and there was no individual AC control in each room. if there was another great thing would be to have a booklet with instructions for your stay if you arrive after hours.

We stayed in the Green Room, which was vert nice with a nice bathroom. We noted the same for two of the other bedrooms; however the Red Room was quite cramped and its bathroom was extremely cramped. The hosts, although absent, were very courteous when contacted. The breakfast was excellent, with fresh-baked biscuits and muffins as well as eggs, sausage and toast, as well as other items.

Stayed in the Russell House Green room. Very quiet, cozy, and accommodating. House is beautiful & nicely appointed. Snacks & drinks in the kitchen are a really nice bonus anytime you need them! The hot drink machine is great! Never met the owners, but Paulette the innkeeper was phenomenal! She was funny, friendly, and the best cook around! Breakfast was outstanding! She makes you always want to stay there! Never moved the car because it was a great couple block walk into the historical area.
Only negative thing I would say was we were surprised the room wasn?t cleaned each day. And maybe we misunderstood that it would be. It would not make me not stay there again.

An Excellent Hotel in A Great Location
Williamsburg Manor is a beautiful hotel in a safe and quiet neighborhood. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The chef, Paulette, was kind and efficient. She made sure we were well taken care of before she moved on to another job. William & Marry, Williamsburg Historical Village and restaurants are all within walking distance. It was truly a HOME away from home.

My husband and I love Williamsburg and wanted to experience the colonial charm by staying at a B&B. Breakfast prepared by Paulette and Aleisha was superb. The inn is beautifully furnished and well taken care off. My only negative is that we didn?t get to meet the innkeepers. They do not live on site. It would have been nice to meet them in person.

Sweet B&B With Short Walk to Historic Sites
The Williamsburg Manor B&B was a spur-of-the-moment accommodations choice on my recent work trip. The space, itself, is beautifully kept and allows for independent travelers to have a bit of their own private space, or meet other visitors in the common spaces of the home. It's just a short walk to Duke of Gloucester Street and some of the best dining that Williamsburg has to offer. Plus, it's only a block from The College of William and Mary campus!
All in all, the only reasons I did not give this B&B a full score are the following:
1. The only time I saw any administrative staff was when I happened upon their interview of a potential new staff member one morning on my way to work. I never saw anyone to check in or out or throughout my stay. This wouldn't be such a big deal if I hadn't been traveling alone. As a solo female traveler, it would have been nice to know that there was a familiar face I could depend on seeing rather than being alone in a house with another couple of travelers whom I didn't know.
2. The rooms were just about perfectly clean, although I found my bathroom to need a little additional work. This is something I would have brought up to the staff had I seen anyone. It also does not make or break my experience here - it was still great!
I look forward to returning to the area to explore other B&B options, but I highly recommend this location to any traveler looking for a wonderfully home-y experience in a historical home while on a trip.

Home away from home
Beautiful place! We had the entire house to ourselves and the owners still came to make us an INCREDIBLE breakfast the next morning. Walking distance to absolutely everything! The patio was our favorite!
