Absolutely DISGUSTING . Paint peeling , cheap fixes for items , holes in everything , phone in room is broken , I had to repair the TV myself that night , no hot water , hot tub water was too hot to sit in & the floor of the hot tub looks DISGUSTING , bed sheets are dirty (my entire face broke out the next day), pool was freezing cold , breakfast was beyond disappointing (hard boiled eggs (all broken up), super dry muffins and bagels, cereal , one week before expiration yogurt , and syrupy (no water added ) Apple juice . DO NOT COME HERE !!!! Oh did I mention that the shower is ICE COLD with no signs of heat at all

When arrived the front desk lady was on a personal call. The guy also working that was doing something else saw us in line and told her we were there. She gave us a room key. We walked to the room and the refrigerator had old food from another guest and a cup with lipstick on the desk. We asked for another room. The guy gave us a new room he was very kind about it. The second room the window didnt have a lock on it. Also the pool was not in use.

Good and cheap for one night. Hot tub was like dipping your toe in lava. Toilet was an experience in itself- had to hold the handle down for a good minute and your waste might flush, it might not. Complimentary breakfast was so minimal we hit mcdonlads after. Hard boiled eggs were plenty if youre into that. Maintenance staff was extra friendly. Excellent location. AC was top notch, beds were comfortable.

Rooms were not clean, our room didn’t have hot water, then they moved us to another room but that room was dirty. Elevator feels unsafe and doesn’t have the inspection sticker as required by law. But the staff was nice and helpful. Overall, avoid if possible.

It was terrible experience first of all the lady at the front desk was doing a favor on me letting me checkin was giving me rude response or felt like she just didn’t wanna be there at that moment no greetings no hospitality nothing and then she allotted me a room which wasn’t cleaned trash was full cups,cans thrown all over
Bed wasn't cleaned had food leftovers on bed
And it doesn’t ends here, then i went to front desk about to ask did she checked the room before letting me in she didn’t answered nothing not even a single word and saying sorry was too far!
She said lemme go and find which room is clean and she opened two more room to check i mean really? She doesn’t know how to use the system or the system doesn’t have any update about rooms?
Next thing she provided me another room and asked me go to the front desk and ask the another person on the desk to change the keys for the room
Not even sorry for her behavior or providing me that nasty unclean used room and asking me to go myself and make a key for another room with being rude to me since i walked in the building
Really this kind of we people pay for?

Location was fine. Front desk people were fine. Room was big, it had working ac, bathroom clean and bed okay. Room very run down. Ac enclosed by drywall and unfinished wood. The closet did not have a bar to hang cloths, bathroom towel rack was gone and sofa looked dirty. It worked for one night but we would not go back. Breakfast minimal but helped us to have something before we were on the road.

Hotel staff was rude on entry after I asked what kind of breakfast they were having in the morning. Room toilet had feces in it and would not flush. Second room toilet would not flush properly and shower was hot then cold every 15 seconds. Ask for a straw for the kids at breakfast and the employee just looked at me, so I asked again and she rolled her eyes and snapped at me \"no sir\" like I was bothering her. The breakfast is horrible and a waste of time so we went out to eat. The pool and hot tub was the only thing nice there even though the hot tub looked dirty, I think the stains make the water look brown in the hot tub. I should have spent $20 more and went next door!

Staff was friendly (when they were at the desk) but hotel and rooms were extremely too hot. The smell of chlorine in the pool was overpowering and not enjoyable to guests to the point it was burning our eyes as soon as you walk near the door. The hot tub was murky green and smelled of fish. AC was not working properly our entire stay and we even left right before midnight of our last night there as we were so uncomfortable. We were going to try and change rooms but when we went to the desk each time no one was there or multiple other guests were there complaining as well for other reasons. There are mechanical issues with the elevators, outside pool was not as shown and drained/ not in working order. I chose to drive 4 hours back home versus staying another night in this hotel.

There was nothing unique about the property. The outside was decent and the water fountain was beautiful. The rooms, pool area and hot tub needs major upgrades. The pictures online do not match what we booked. Very dissatisfied with out stay at this property. The Motel staff were nice and accommodating, but that is the only redeeming quality. The first room we got had a bed bug on the pillowcase! The second room was okay, however it is very out dated and the A/C makes so much noise and barely worked. Thre are cracks and holes in the walls in the room and bathrooms. The pool area is nice, however the hot tube was gross looking and greenish/cloudy. The pool itself was cloudy. We were very itchy after the hot tub. I booked this property because it looked very nice, but we were deceived. Was very glad to get out of there! Will never stay again.

The check in was great! The person at the front desk was awesome! The room location was excellent! The room was acceptable. The “breakfast “ was minimal. The hotel worker stayed on her phone on speaker phone while I was trying to have a peaceful cup of coffee. I thought it very unprofessional. All in all, for the money, it was an acceptable stay.

We stayed there for 5 days. Staff never smiles (except the guy who works the counter and the maintenance man). Couldn’t get them to clean the room (room service) the whole time (had to ask before 8am; every time they said they were too busy that day!)…to place the trash outside the room.
The place was good, but the staff wasn’t so good about 90% of the time. They made us feel like WE were asking too much of them.

Dirty walls, lousy patch and paint jobs all over the walls. Holes where light fixtures once were. Cockroaches spotted in the room and worst one was finding a dead in in the microwave. No shower liner that stops the water from coming out of the tub. Broken locks on window. Breakfast was a joke, only bagels, white bread, and muffins, 3 options of cereal that prob have roaches since they are not individual serving boxes, no waffles, no eggs or protein of any kind only jams and cream cheese. We had to cancel our second night and find a better hotel nearby. What a joke of a place management is clearly cutting so many corners. Room 401 was my experience and am certain the rest of the rooms are the same since they didn’t even offer to switch my room. Never again, id rate lower if I could.

The front desk smelled of weed. The 3 ladies at the front desk said that they don’t have the hot tubs and that property stop along time ago of having them. The elevator was out of service and I have issues walking. Horrible horrific experience ever.

The first room we were in was definitely NOT cleaned before hand and smelled funny— at least the bedding was changed. The AC didn’t work though so we got moved to a different room for the second night which was a little cleaner. There was barely any breakfast— no protein of any sort. Apparently they ran out of eggs. The place is run down and needs updating. It is almost as though the staff has also resigned to the fact that most things don’t work. Not one single apology for anything, not even a friendly smile.

Came to stay overnight for a soccer tournament. In door pool was open. the doors to the rooms were very hard to open and close, the carpet is filthy both in the rooms and the hallways. There was gum stuck to the wall in the room we were in and the initial room we had it changed cause there was a heavy old smelling stinch. The hotel was convenient but definitely needs some well needed remodeling. Breakfast was very basic... Cereal, toast and bagels. Ok for an overnight stay but nothing more than that!

The stay was completely unacceptable and uncomfortable the first room had stains on and in the mattress. When turning on the ac it had black pieces that kept flying out of the ac when turned on. There was feces on the toilet and hair on and stuck in the towels. Hair was all over the shower walls . Every pillow on the bed had stains along with the sheet sets on the bed. It was very unsanitary to have two small children in. We would like some form of accommodation.

The first room I put in was dirty wallpaper peeling off the wall. The second room I was put in was dirty. The microwave broke and had to be destroyed to get my food out. The tub didn’t work. I had to put a weight on it to hold the water in and that didn’t work. My key card had to be redone five times cause it wouldn’t work carpets weren’t vacuumed. Everything was dusty the continental breakfast that they supposedly had was two different kinds of cereal and four danishes. I was terribly not impressed will not go back. We’ll tell everyone that I can not to go back.

The room needed a good bit of updates, and the needed repairs are definitely being neglected. That being said, the room served its purpose of a bed, running hot water, and coffee. One issue that wasn’t a big deal was that the bathroom outlets didn’t work. There was an outlet close to a mirror in the room, which was fine. The only big concern was that the shower faucet was starting to pull away from the wall, so one hand held it in place while the other pulled to turn the water on. The knob was stripped, which made it very hard to adjust the water temperature. Although happy for the hot shower, I had to dodge in and out so as not to scald myself. I would stay there again, but make sure the shower worked properly upon arrival.

I was in town to play the Second Sundays festival. I thought it might be more comfortable to go ahead and get a room there rather than drive from Norfolk early in the morning through the tunnel and such. I called ahead to say my traveling companion was in a wheelchair. But I did not need a full walk-in shower, but we did need to know that the chair would fit through the bathroom door frame so she would have access to a toilet and a bath. We were told it would be dependent on the width of the wheelchair because they are made differently. I felt confident because my friend uses a child’s wheelchair. We got in late after a gig. The door frame was not even close. No wheelchair would ever fit through it. We borrowed a chair from the lobby, hoping we could use it as a transfer chair, but it made for a challenging evening for my dear friend. In the morning, we just needed to get cleaned up and go. That’s when we found out the handle for the faucet was broken and there was no way to turn the water temperature. We had no time, and we’re forced to take a cold bath. I did what I could with the coffee cup to add enough hot water from the sink to help, but we ran out of time for it to be comfortable. My friend opted not to take a bath at all and that’s how we went to the festival. We would have been much more comfortable if we stayed home, got cleaned up, and just drove early to the festival. I was very frustrated and unsatisfied and told the hotel but we got no response from them.

The staff was great! The room was ok. Double beds in rooms make it difficult for 2 adults in one bed. Room does not have a mini fridge. Carpets are awful, dirty and need replacing. Cleanness was hit and miss. Beds and towels were clean or new. Bathroom could have been cleaner. Pool area clean but needs wall repair. Breakfast was the typical inexpensive continental breakfast. A few restaurants within walking distance. Location is good for, Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, and Water country. Overall price was fair for the stay.

Pros first, the sheets and room in general were clean. But there was hair in the bathroom floor in numerous spots. Some long some short..

Breakfast was terrible, after throwing it up we took the kids to mcdonalds. The second morning we just didn't even bother with breakfast. There's no microwaves or fridgerators in the room, so if you're bringing kiddos be prepared for this. The doors to the outside of the building are never locked. The key only worked for one night of our stay - also seen other guest dealing with this issue. Overall it was an okay stay for where we were. But upon check in at 11 at night, the tv didn't work, we had 2 towels (for our 5 person stay check in), One staff member from afternoon shift did help tremendously. But the rest were terrible, specifically the person working the \"breakfast area\" as I attempted to ask questions she was rude and more concerned with peeling her orange and dropping the peels in the floor.

The room we were initially placed in was filthy and smelled like an ashtray. The only good thing about the hotel was staff was helpful and assigned us a new room. The new room was acceptable only because we were only sleeping there and not spending anytime at the hotel.
This hotel seemed like a transient hotel. This hotel was subpar, dirty and has seen better days…twenty years ago!

The hotel is extremely outdated.
The lock didn’t work on our door. There were multiple spots where paint was peeling. Multiple sockets didn’t work and were coming off the wall. We were put in smoking room when we payed for non smoking. The people next to us were smoking both cigarettes and marijuana all day which made our room smell disgusting.
The AC unit barely worked.
The breakfast they provided was just hard bagels and a few muffins. Breakfast was supposed to be served from 7:30-10:00 am we were down there at 8:30am. The women who working were too busy standing around talking instead of doing their job. The male work who ran the deck was the only nice person there. Will never stay here again.

While the staff was very nice and accommodating the owners should really look into updating the property. The rooms need maintenance and repairs! Our first room the floors were dirty, the room smelled like an ash tray, and the water for the shower came out of the wall. The next room the door wouldn't work so the staff had to force the door open. The room didn't smell but again the floors were dirty as well as the fixtures. The hotel overall was ok, but we won't be returning and canceled for our next tournament.

This list is extensive:

Pool area: Hot tub water disgusting. Could not even see my foot at the bottom because the water had a tan tint to it. Barely hot. Not stained pool, just dirty water. Paint peeling from walls above pool.

Room: Door stuck. Light missing shade and bulb. AC was iced over even though it was off. When turned on, the unit sounded horrible as if a motor bearing was failing. So, no AC control at all. The TV was set to an unusable configuration. The bathroom light was a void in the ceiling with a bulb. The toilet paper holder was loose in the wall and had to be pushed back in after any use. The bathtub over drain was ajar and stuffed with paper. The beds were brutally stiff and the blanket was as thin as the sheet. The rug was beyond stained, and looked it had gum or glue patches on/in the carpeting.

Exterior and staff: Cracks in the pillars by the lobby, Dismal feeling and even more disappointing response from the staff when the hot tub issue was raised. I didn't bother to raise any other concerns after the all I got after asking what was wrong with the water was, \"you can leave the towels right there\". As in, on the counter.

Breakfast was a disappointment, not very substantial and not very appealing.

Even though it’s not pool weather outdoors, the trash collected in the bottom of it was an eyesore.

We did have to ask for a coffeemaker to be brought to our room which was odd since every thing else was there. The gentleman who delivered it to us was super nice and friendly.

Not greatly pleased, but you get what you pay for. I do have several complaints for 1 there was no microwave or fridge 2 the bathroom was not handicap accessible. There was no shower bars to hold onto. My husband could not take a shower. The AC did not work properly it cut on and off probably over a 100 times throughout the night and there should also be a quiet time at least after 10 o’clock if not, 9 the people beside of us was in and out of their room up until 2 AM which was ridiculous. We are older, elderly people and should not be bothered with that type of issue!. I can say the beds was nice and clean and the sheets smelled like bleach, which is a good thing because I wash my sheets with bleach. The bathroom outlets need to be replaced. I plugged my curling iron in and it just fell out of the receptacle. The rooms could use some paint. And they need to get a good air filtration system. The whole hotel smelled unfresh..

Look, if you're just looking for a place to crash/sleep when visiting Williamsburg and aren't too picky, or a \"Karen\", this place will suffice. Otherwise, you may want to look elsewhere. The property overall does not match the outside façade or lobby. The room was typical hotel \"meh\"...nothing exceptionally good OR bad about it. The \"Continental\" breakfast ended up just being orange juice and coffee. But the only real, legitimate complaints I can offer are that the pool water desperately needed a shock treatment and the hot tub water was NOT acceptable whatsoever. I'd have been fine without a hot tub at all, but if you're going to have one in your facility and brag about it, it needs to be maintained, cleaned, and treated properly. Overall, nothing except \"first-world\"/\"luxe\" problems to report. Otherwise, it IS a safe place to sleep.

The air conditioning unit had a short and would not turn on unless set to 61 degrees once the air conditioning power chord was jiggled to get it on. Water kept going from hot to cold while showering, the facilities smelt like pot, and when my wife said let’s get out of here, I had enough of this place a staff member said, “we’ll get on out then.” There was a lot more to write that was not good, but I don’t want to give this too much time. The people at our check in were absolutely AMAZING!

This place was awful- my husband and I ended up leaving after being there for 3 hours. The room was filthy; there was mold in the shower along with pubic hairs in the bathtub. The pool area was a joke and the hot tub was yellow. The whole place smelled awful and we didn’t feel safe being there. Very shady motel.

This was by far the worst hotel I've stayed at in the area! The rooms had stained bedding and towels. There was supposed to be a mini fridge and a microwave in the room and it wasnt there. The staff was extremely rude everyday. The breakfast was only cereal with warm milk. The hottub was yellow and when we told the staff the didnt even care it was gross. Very bad experience!

My main complaint is one staff woman there in particular. I didn't get her name but she's an older African American woman with terrible manorism, was very rude and disrespectful, got tempered and unprofessional. I've never experienced first hand such rudeness in your face before. I think she's ready for retirement because she seems angry and bothered.

The pool clean but the hot lukewarm. Staff had it set at 85 degrees and wouldn't turn up the temperature. The building structure of the hotel had cracks and wood window frames falling apart or missing. Breakfast was bagels, cereal and muffins. Our toilets in both rooms worked only half the time. I had to find a plunger to unclog the toilet. At check-in the desk person tried charging my cc twice and wasn't going to give us our rooms. I prepaid for 2 rooms. Overall visit 1.5 stars.

This location was outdated and terrible. I'm not sure how they dont get audited and shut down. On top of that, they charged me an additional $50.

Because I checked in early. I booked the hotel at 1210am n checked in at around 0100am. They said it was hotel policy, but I don't understand how they are enforcing that policy but then they don't care to follow their policy on cleaning the hotel and specifically the rooms correctly. They should definitely reimburse me my hotel stay.

I unfortunately was driving for a long period of time to care to fight it at the time of arrival and just stayed till 0730am.

Horrible!!! Staff was beyond UNFRIENDLY & NOT WELCOMING AT ALL! the room was DISGUSTING! Bugs crawling on the pillow. The lingering smell in the room. The toilet & tub was dirty. The bed had hair on it.

The Room was decent, for the pool being indoor it was freezing, the hot tub was cold and gross looking. The roof had cracks and was falling. The main support posts had major cracks in them.
