I loved my stay at Cinqueterre Residence so much. The owners provide so much helpful information before and after check in. It was very good for finding the place, picking restaurants to try, and finding hiking paths. They are wonderful hosts. They helped me arrange a taxi when I left and always filled my water bottle. The breakfast was so good and the property is beautiful. Truly cannot say enough good things. As long as stairs and mobility are not an issue for you, you will love it.

Amazing spot. The property is extremely clean and modern inside, the staff are awesome and super helpful. Breakfast is delicious and very handy- they even hand make you cappuccinos. It’s in a nice village close to many restaurants although there’s a fair amount of stairs to get back to the apartment. This is common all across CinqueTerre though, and there’s an option to take a lift back and avoid the steps. We decided we needed the exercise after too much pasta and took the stairs!

5/5 and coming back next year- thanks to Davide and his team for an awesome stay!

This is a great hotel. Highly recommend. The walk may be difficult but the lift makes it easier.
You're surrounded by nature. At night sitting on the atmosphere definitely helps recharge the soul. It's a bit isolated from the main street so you can appreciate some calm.
The jacuzzi is a nice perk.
The staff is super friendly.

From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed. The facilities are beautifully kept, with a 24hr hydro tub, a terrace for each room and an excellent breakfast each morning, there is so much space available (bedrooms, terraces and all outdoor areas) in comparison with other hotels in the area and a wonderful view. We were so close to the town, we walked everywhere and Davide was able to help us with booking a wine tour, and answered all other questions we had about the area, from ferry timetables to walking routes. I would definitely recommend Cinqueterre Residence as a place to stay. Thank you for having us

The property was up the hill and so peaceful and quiet. The breakfast was perfect with fresh rolls, fruit, cheeses, meats, pesto, etc., and fresh made espresso coffees. Bottled water was restocked daily. The hot tub was nice. In room safes. Little patio areas outside each room.

Only down side is the only way up there is to climb several flights of stone steps. Nice exercise for us, but might be a problem for someone who is not in good condition. Also plan on 4.5 hours ahead for the train trip to Pisa airport to be on time. (about 3 hours to take train to La Spezia, change to train to Pisa, and get airport shuttle including waits between).

What a wonderful stay. The owner was waiting for us before our arrival. She explained everything that we need to know. This property really made our first time in Italy went great. The room was really clean. Free soft drinks and water in the refrigerator every day. The location and the view of the property are excellent. I am really glad that I decided to stay here. I highly recommended this property to anyone. I normally don’t give great reviews easily, but this time I have to. I will definitely come to stay here again for our next visit to Cinque Terre.

It would be nice if they could improve the Wi-Fi throughput, but the Wi-Fi connectivity was still quite good and I understand the difficulties inherent in the location relative to Wi-Fi throughput. That was the only minor, very minor improvement that I might have wished for.

The view, the room, the patio, the breakfast and the people were AMAZING!!! Davide and his family treated us like family. Each morning started off with a smile on top of the coffee and every night ended with free beverages we enjoyed on the patio watching a beautiful sunset. It was truly a 1st Class experience! They also went above and beyond to help us when our travel plans had to change at the last minute because of the train strike! Totally a 5-Star Experience!!!

We loved our stay here for 3 nights. It’s quite the hike up to the hotel but the view is worth it. I recommend having your luggage transported to the hotel by shuttle l. We didn’t get the memo (my fault) and hiked up the mountain with it. Our room was cozy, shower is very small but does the trick. Breakfast was amazing with fresh honey!!!

Wow. The owners truly mske you feel like this is your home, Carls and others were so gracious, helpful and kind. The rooms are spacious, loved the big balcony to relaxed and watch over the city with wine in evening, cappuccino in the morning...also loved having the roof top hot tub to reax in after our 10-mile hike. It was great having a full kitchen...but with the amazing breakfast they provided each day and with their great dinner recommendstions and help with reservations...we will definitely be back!!!!

Cinque Terre - What’s not to love!

We had an excellent stay at Cinque Terre residence with everything needed for our short break. The staff were friendly and helpful and provided great tips for walks in the area and the best routes to take. The breakfast was lovely with a variety of of options and the mini bar was restocked daily with water and a variety of soft drinks. The view from our terrace was amazing and the hot tub was a nice place to relax after a day spent out and about. The accommodation is at the top of the village so there are a lot of steps but we were aware of this before booking and didn’t find it to be a problem. Definitely recommend and hope to go back some day!

Perfect launching point to see Cinqueterre

What an amazing place with spectacular views of Riomaggiore. It's a walk uphill from the train station and quite a few steps but worth every step. Away from the hustle bustle but very walkable back and forth without luggage. The hotel is very helpful getting you in and out as well when do have luggage. Breakfast is awesome with the freshest fruit and best honey anywhere.

This is absolutely the place to stay in Riomaggiore! The staff are all extremely friendly and very accommodating, always offering to help with anything you need. We told them we were on our honeymoon, and they gave us a bottle of champagne! The rooms are studio apartment style, and very comfortable and modern, with a bit of outdoor patio space too. The whole place is beautiful, with trees growing all kinds of fruit, a nice patio overlooking the town, and even a jacuzzi. Plus, breakfast is included and is delicious, with many options! Just make sure your legs are in good shape, since it is higher up on the hill (though you'll be climbing hills and stairs everywhere in Cinque Terre anyway!)

Cinqueterre Residence was a perfect place to stay while visiting the area. The accommodations were probably the nicest in the area, breakfast was superb, and the staff was always very helpful! It was such a treat to relax in the jacuzzi overlooking the town after a long day of hiking. I would highly recommend staying at Cinqueterre Residence. The property has onsite parking (a rarity in the area) and a luggage lift--essential given the number of steps the area is known for.

The rooftop terrace overlooking the city was a romantic place for a glass of Prosecco. We stayed here 6 nights celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and loved every minute. Loved my stay at the Cinqueterre Residence! It’s a bit of a mission getting up those stairs, but it’s worth it :)

I was travelling alone and safety is one of my big concerns. I felt safe the entire time I was there.

The room has everything you’d need and breakfast is delicious.

The staffs are nice and friendly. The room is big and clean.
Not a big selection for breakfast, however, they make fresh coffee to your taste.
We got free mini bar as well, which saved us from carrying drinks to climb those stairs :p
It’s located on the hill, so there’s quite abit of stairs to climb, but the view and everything just worth it ! And it’s off the Main Street, very relaxing and quiet!

Wonderful stay in Cinque Terre!

The hotel staff couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. The rooms were spacious and a great home base for our four night trip out to Cinque Terre in July 2018! Riomaggiore was a great place to base the trip off of and easily accessible to each of the other villages, plus very convenient with plenty of restaurants and bars without the touristy feel of other towns. This hotel was particularly convenient as there was access from the main upper road so we didn’t have to worry about carrying our bags up the typical steep hills & stairs of the area! Would definitely recommend

A great stay

My husband and I spent a few days at the hotel and everything was wonderful. Everyone was so accommodating and we loved every minute of our stay. They helped us with the dinner reservation to celebrate our anniversary and we got great service and the best table at the restaurant. We also got all the information we needed when it comes to the village and the hiking in the area.
We rented a car to get us from the airport to Riomaggiore. It was easy to find the hotel thanks to the travel information (with pictures!) we received by mail prior to our stay. The hotel also had a parking space that we were able to book before we arrived and payed at checkout.
One of the reasons that I chose the hotel was that they offered breakfast. The breakfast was really good and included among other things a great fruitsallad and really good coffe. I do recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again if we go back to Riomaggiore.

Stayed in the kitchenette suite in September and had a great time. Would absolutely go back here. Staff was always available and attentive (during their open hours) and even gave us a glass of white wine as a welcome gift! The location is a bit of a walk up the road (they offer to come get you and your bags) but it pays off with a great view over the city. The rooms were clean and included helpful info about train, boat, and bus schedules, maps for hiking, and restaurant recommendations. The kitchenette was nice to store a bit of food and have a few simple meals cooked inside (a few stove tops, but no oven). Each room had a small front terrace that felt semi-private, and allowed a nice breeze with full height window able to open into the terrace. The beds were a bit stiff, although we had no issues sleeping with AC and controls in the room.

The hotel has a nice multi-story layout that lets you feel you have some private terrace space with chairs and tables, plus there is a larger common terrace area. The Jacuzzi was clean and functional, although the water wasn't overly hot so we didn't use it much.

Breakfast included and wifi coverage throughout the place was also nice to have.

Would recommend as a nice relaxing, quieter place to stay, even if you have multiple people in your group and want to make sure you have some common places available to hang out together.

Home from home!

We chose to visit cinque terra for the sunshine, scenery and Italian food / wine - and it didn't disappoint! The hotel itself, while located in a hilly location (there is a shuttle bus and several options for luggage transfers), was perfect. The owners were friendly and hospitable and made us feel very welcome. The views from our balcony and the main terrace were fantastic. The breakfast croissants were delicious and we loved the morning coffee with smiley faces and the fresh fruit salad. The room itself was spotless, comfortable, well equipped and the air conditioning did the job nicely. We were so glad to have stayed here and highly recommend this hotel. We stayed 5 nights which gave us 4 full days to properly explore the region, visit all 5 towns and do several hikes following routes recommended by the hotel owners, who provide a useful collection of information on bus, train and boat times, the best restaurants and so on.

We stayed at Riomaggiore, Cinque Terre residence for 4 nights. We had a nice big room ( we had payed an extra). The location was great! Very close to the centre... A few walks away. The grounds of the hotel are nice and the view from the terrace is great (not from the room in our case though), maybe the best in town. There are veggies and fruit trees all around. The room was large, clean, quite but basic. The breakfast was amazing with veggies and fruits from the garden, fresh honeycomb and many more extras. The owners were very friendly and have great advice on different locations to visit. We also booked the parking for our car and this was very useful as parking is scarce in the area. Overall, a very good stay with great staff!!!

Overlooked Riomaggiore

Great location if staying in Riomaggiore! However, it is a climb! If arriving by train - take taxi or bus upon arrival. Do not haul your bags up the countless steps! The Patio is amazing! Great view over the city. Breakfast options are very nice. Staff are all friendly & helpful.

Very outdated

The staff were absolutely lovely but the room was very outdated, the shower was terrible (you could barely fit inside it) and there was an old musty smell. The breakfast was very low quality.

Quiet b&b at the top of the hill

The staff especially David were excellent . Very helpful and informative about everything from trails, to trains, to food .
The setting was. Quiet oasis from all the hustle and bustle with a refreshing pool to reward you at the end of a warm walking day.

Older couples probably understand that there is a great deal of walking in Cinque Terre. This hotel is on a steep hill. We had one of the lower rooms and there were 84 steps between the road and our room. Once there the room was comfortable and the breakfast was OK. This is close to being an outstanding place. The breakfast service can be improved.

Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. Cinque terra Residence was lovely and quiet. ( A little hard to find initially after a few false starts.) Family owned accomodation which was small and personal.They made us feel welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. Nice touch to receive a complementary drink on arrival.

Unique vacation destination

Riomaggiore not the most picturesque of the five villages but one can hike to the other villages, or take the train. Spectacular coastal views. Unique environment, guess that is why the whole area is a national park and Unesco world heritage site.

Wonderful place to stay in Riomaggoire!

I can't say enough nice things about this hotel, it was amazing! My room was perfect and huge, especially for European hotel rooms. The shower was amazing to have after a long day of hiking. The breakfast was excellent, homemade croissants everyday! The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay. They helped with arranging a pickup and drop off from the trains station which was helpful because it's a hike to the hotel. They gave excellent tips on where to hike which was so helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Riomaggorie, if I'm ever back I will stay here again! Thanks for such a wonderful stay!

Very quiet beautiful part of town

Very kind staff that made our stay welcome. Be prepared to climb a steep hill once off the train. We don't mind the hike actually it was quite lovely to walk past little shops selling wine, lemon soap, calamari cones, gelato, and various pastas.
Complimentary breakfast and they mean it unlike our other hotel in Rome that advertised free breakfast but did not deliver. The surroundings are comfortable and feel homey. Not an extravagant place but just right.

Great for families and couples

Easy walking distance to trails and town centre. Hosts are friendly and have good knowledge of trails and surrounding sightseeing opportunities. Property is very clean and well maintained. Buffet style breakfast of meats, cheeses, yogurt, croissants and buns, cereal, fruit, etc. was served in a cheerful room. There is parking for those who arrive with a car. This is definitely one of the best options in Riomaggiore.
