We loved this place! Cheap accommodations, but high value. Reception was welcoming and informational. The room was small but ingeniously designed, and it was easy to get our bags unpacked and things put away. The kitchen is well-appointed, and the water hot. The bed was very comfortable and there is storage under the bed and on a shelf behind it. The location is also excellent, walking distance from nearly everything you want to see and close to the street car. And parking was easy in their underground garage. Highly recommended.

Room was great!! Very centrally located to all of the areas we wanted to visit. Parking on site was a wonderful plus and the little patio off our room was a bonus. Provided Nespresso pods, sugar and cream and all essentials for a longer stay and cook in room if you had to. Front desk staff very helpful. Breakfast for a small fee but we did not get a chance to enjoy but glad it was an option.

This was a great place to stay for a few days. The laundry room was clean and easy. The staff at the desk were so helpful and full of great ideas. Overall, this place deserves 6 stars for the type of property it is. Centrally located. Easy to walk around. It was a fun place to stay.

Did not use the small kitchen. The room is very small. The bathroom all in one shower is inconvenient.
The staff were friendly & helpful. Their English was somewhat limited.
Lots of games in lobby & green spaces were a welcome use of space.
Walkable to Saint Catherine Street for shopping & restaurants. Taxi ride to train station was only 10 minutes.

The staff were very helpful, even with our limited French. They called us a taxi a few times. The breakfast was alright.
This hotel is near the Saint Catherine’s Shopping Street & you can walk all the way down to the Opera House.
The room is very small & the bathroom even smaller. The shower is directly in front of the toilet, with only a shower curtain, so the whole bathroom floor gets wet, so it was inconvenient - too small.
If you take the key card out of the slot inside the door, the lights will go out on anyone left inside the room.

For the same suite category, they have different accomodations, some with a very small balcony (French balcony), others with a full balcony and others with Terasse (patio). They gave us the smallest one, regardless of the fact that occupancy was low.
Another thing to consider is the location. Pretty close to everything, however on a very dirty little street, on the other side of the Boul Victor Hugo than the main attractions. Once you cross Boul Victor Hugo, you seem to enter a pretty shady part of the city.

Very good choice for a stay in Bordeaux. It's in a great area, walkable to most sights and the train station.

The hotel is very modern and has an adequate kitchenette for breakfast and lunches.

Close to lots of restaurants and a good-sized grocery. Also within walking distance of the Marche Royal - St Michel and the Marche des Capucine for wonderful fresh foods. The bakeries are too tempting for words.

We loved the location of this hotel but we did have one issue. Our hotel bed, specifically pillows, smelled like vomit. We called front desk and they provided new pillows the next morning but the smell did not go away so we think perhaps it was the mattress or headboard. Anyways, we otherwise had a good stay. Great location, front desk is friendly and lobby is great.

The room was comfortable enough for a short stay although the bed was squashed into a small space and was difficult to get into and out of! . Unfortunately there weren't enough towels in the bathroom and only one tea bag and only enough coffee for 1 day. We requested another hand towel, more tea bags and coffee and more milk, but only the coffee arrived. Breakfast was however good value and the café au lait was lovely. Staff were always helpful and friendly.

The room was fine however the shower was faulty and would go freezing cold in the mornings and on some occasions stop altogether.

The air conditions was also faulty which meant it was so loud that it could not be used. It sounded like a bag of spanner’s in a washing machine.

The area that the hotel is in is not very nice, dirty, lots of homeless and did not feel safe in the dark. However in fairness only a 2-3 mins walk from the much nicer historic part of the town.

Check in lady was rude.

We had a split level suite, with a ver comfortable king bed upstairs and two half sofa beds available downstairs. No window upstairs and the one downstairs had no view. Pas de problem.

Parking was very easy. The onsite guest laundry was also simple to use and washed/dried in one cycle per machine for 5e total. Nice!

WiFi excellent. The TV would not work with a laptop over HDMI, but did permit local media playback from a FAT32 USB stick.

Breakfasts were of a good standard, though without the usual eggs bacon sausage.

Very quiet in the room, and great staff in the lobby.

Would choose this property again.

Staycity Aparthotel is conveniently situated for the old town so everywhere walkable. The rooms are clean and quiet and the courtyard garden we overlooked lovely. Staff pleasant and helpful and always available. Cafes and restaurants near the tower of St.Michel and of course in the old town itself. Transport is nearby. Rooms were well equipped and breakfast plentiful. We all agreed an excellent place to stay.

Excellent location. Only the parking was a little challenging. You have to enter by the back and follow steps to get in. Finding a spot to stop on narrow streets to get into the hotel to get these instructions is extremely difficult. It would be nice if they just sent them to you when you book and pay for parking online.

There was confusion when we arrived as the room we chose was not what we were assigned. Thankfully, due to the efficient staff, our room was changed the next day. The manager was excellent and made our stay a pleasure. The location of Staycity is great, so I recommend the accommodation highly. In general, the rooms are clean and well maintained (our shower tray however had a crack in the centre of the tray). I would be careful with the Expedia website which can be disingenuous when choosing a room. I will know always take screenshots if I am choosing a room on the Expedia website, as I do not want to arrive at a venue again and have to justify why my room needs changing again. Be aware of Expedia booking system.

Arrived around midnight and had already checked in online but staff there to explain everything. Very clean room and bed was so comfortable and so were pillows. Facilities in room v good. Didn't take breakfast. Good location as near town centre but felt slightly ofput as lots of graffiti in Bordeaux and nearby main road had some undesirables.

The beds could do with being pulled out and cleaned as we dropped a charger down the side and we're disgusted with how much dust and debris we found whilst reaching down.

Fridge door was unbelievably squeaky and air con was rattly (but was still good and kept the room at a good temperature)

My main issue is the fact that there is nowhere to dry laundered clothes other than in the dryer - not many of our clothes can be tumble dried so had to get creative and purchased some washing line from Carrefour.

Other than the small issues everything was great and would definitely stay again!

The hotel is 1 block from the historic center of town on a quiet street. It’s a busy area during the day. There is no elevator in building A, first floor, so be aware if that’s problematic. Very pleasant staff. Our room had a very large bed upstairs and a twin sofa bed and kitchenette on the entry level. Clean and appointed with coffee and cream.

The hotel is good and functional, convenient location just minutes from the city center. The room was clean, and even though we arrived super late at night, the staff was kind and welcoming, which we really appreciated.

That said, I had booked a room for three people, and the hotel informed me ahead of time that the sofa bed wouldn’t be made, but they’d leave clean sheets and duvet. The sofa bed itself was really uncomfortable and cramped. I could actually feel the metal bars through the mattress, which made it tough to get a good night’s sleep. There’s also no elevator if you are staying on the first floor, not ideal if you have heavy luggage.

The self catering facilities were well thought out so saved on eating out all the time. However eating out all the time is really a good thing to do in Bordeaux. So many different eateries and reasonable prices. Beautiful architecture and such a chilled vibe. Would definitely stay here again.

Really nice property, small but we'll thought and super clean. Staff was really good and friendly. Great location, walking distance from downtown, and great restaurants and coffee shops. As a solo female traveler, I felt a little uncomfortable because there was a group of men chatting, laughing and smoking on the hallways until very late at night and during the day. I assume they were guests as well, but then front desk is not always attended. I visited in November.

During my stay I really appreciated being able to come and go freely. Staff was always available when needed. The lovely courtyards were a plus. The neighbours felt save even after dark. Shopping on Rue Sainte Catherine was within easy walking distance. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
