The Worst Stay for very long time. Do not deserve 3* aparthotel.
-the accomodate us in room that have flood/ water damage, with unhealthy smell of mould dampness, mould on walls, paint peeling off from ceiling, kitchen units damaged from moisture/mould in room
Kitchen electric hob damaged with dangerous broken glass & sharp corner.
Inside kitchens units some electric cables sticking out.
-dirty room not properly clean.
Reported to reception the give us other room that was no the cleanest room , basic toiletry was missing skirting boards missing.

-during check in we have been overcharged for parking , try to explain that information on booking website state lower fees , he did not care and still overcharged us. Next day show the full details of parking fees and he acknowledged,, thanks for letting me know,, and ignore us . VERY RUDE & Unprofessional.
- you can nearly sleep as very noisy you can hear every room door slamming when closing.

If I red reviews before booking I would never book in first place know that this problem exist a( stated on others reviews) and nothing is done , so stop apologising to coustomer and fix this mess and stop overcharging .

Overall the worst stay in 20 years of travel.

Room was large and clean with a comfortable bed. Slight mould patch on the ceiling.
We were on a street facing room and despite the windows being closed and on a high up floor, the street noise carried. Saturday night was particularly noisy with people singing, shouting or just speaking loudly till about 4 am. Double glazing needs a better seal or replaced.
Good choices at breakfast.
Poor communication. Keycode for gate entry was changed during our stay and we weren't informed of the new number. Another (new)guest let us in one night on our return.
The street the hotel is on was dug up in several places in both pavements with flimsy boards over the holes.
We did find a lovely little family run bistro on a nearby back street which was lovely.

We never got the TV to work; internet was intermittent; it took several minutes for water to be hot after running it; and the freezer in the refrigerator needed defrosting. It was a spacious room, with a tiny and functional kitchen area. Public transportation was very near and it was close to restaurants.

I would recommend staying in another area, a bit unsafe feeling at night compared to the other areas of Bordeaux. Good price for a room but I bit dirty and the breakfast was not worth the 10 euros, go to a coffee shop instead.

Hotel is okay, good aircon and decent room size.

Bad points are really the location, not the best. It’s okay but there are far better locations more central, which also seem safer than this area.

There’s a gate you have to get through to get to reception, not ideal when checking in and you don’t have the code yet.

Room was okay but the shower is awful, it’s a handheld shower head in a bathtub, with no where to hang it to shower.

Close to the centre, secure parking

I booked a suite for myself and family - 2 adults and 2 children. The room was plenty big enough and the beds were comfy. The little kitchenette was useful and the bathroom was slightly tatty yet fully working.

There is so much to see in Bordeaux and it was a great base to explore. You are a 10 minute walk away from Place de la Victoire and Rue Saint Catherine which then leads you to all the main places of interest.

The hotel itself is very secure as it is behind locked gates. We parked our rental car at the hotel and it gave us peace of mind to know it was so safe.

I booked this hotel using my Tesco Clubcard Vochers and it was a great way to use them. If we were to return to Bordeaux I would definitely stay here again.

Overpriced for type of aparthotel although ours was a late booking so perhaps that's whey it was a high price. Rooms are basic and reasonably clean. Towels were not changed each day. told to leave on floor but nobody came to change them.
Staff pleasant and helpful.
The facility to leave luggage on departure day is very good, as is the 12 noon checkout time.

The property needs renovation, especially the bathrooms and kitchen furniture. The bathtub area and ceiling were mouldy and the furniture around the tub area was humid and coming apart, totally run down. The air conditioning did not work durong my two night stay. On the first night the reception was closed after 10:00 pm, so I couldnt report it. The next morning the maintenance man came and confirmed that the ac was not working. I left and he said he would fix it. He drained a bucket full of water that filled up again in two or three hours and then the ac wouldnt work again. In summary, on my second and last night I didnt have ac again. One thing I can say is that the manager did try to help by coming at around 9:00 to drain the water again. At least it worked for a couple of hours until it filled up again. In summary, I have to say my stay was not pleasant.

Walking distance to the central parts of the city is reasonable. There is a large French market nearby, which was very interesting to us. Internet access security was too complicated, I wasn't able to connect one of my 3 devices at all.

Lovely staff but disappointing mouldy bathroom

We stayed at Victoria Garden for 3 nights in January for a short City break.

The hotel is situated less than 20 minutes walk away from the city centre. From the airport, it will take about 40 minutes on the bus or 20 minutes in a taxi to get to the hotel.

The hotel is set back from the road making it quiet enough to get a good nights sleep.

The staff at the hotel are lovely and very helpful, they made us feel very welcome.

However, the room that we were given was disappointing. The bathroom floor and doorframe had significant and visible water damage and mould. There was also a number of flies in the bathroom.

The rooms were clean. The breakfast and dinner were not included in the price unlike what Expedia stated.

Hotel is in an excellent position, really conveniently located to walk into the centre (took us 10-15mins walk into the main historic centre). It is also super close to tram links as well. Parking at the propert was ideal in a gated area and I found the fee for it reasonable. The room was spacious and clean, my only criticism would be that you couldn't fix the shower head at head height and therefore has to hold it to shower (not sure if this was just our room!). But overall a lovely hotel and would definitely stay again if we revisited Bordeaux.

Receptionists we’re all kind and very tactful with a smile. They helped with directions, general information. They kept my luggage 3 hrs after checking out. Hotel was clean. Breakfast was fine but not for more than 3 days, no eggs. I might be right but Area around hotel wasn’t to my aspiration. This hotel had everything we needed for a 4-day stay. Room spacious and comfortable. Stylish an functional bathroom. Everything worked. Our stay was quiet. Under-occupied and the garage nearly empty. Very good internet connection but rationed so it was not possible to stream live news, for example.
Others have commented this is the wrong part of town and the walk to the right part of town is fairly lengthy. We had bikes which helped.

Large quiet room with basic cooking facilities + fridge, comfy bed, and A/C (which was soooo good considering the sweltering weather of late June 2019). Well located near tram line B, within 7 min walk of the longest shopping strip in Europe (rue Sainte-Catherine), and about 15 min walk to central Bordeaux, with plenty of pubs and eateries around. Friendly staff, good wifi, and pretty decent brekky for €10.

The reception was open and closed at hours that was inconvenient for guest. If you had any questions outside those times, you were in trouble. Additionally, check in is at 4:30pm, but Expedia had it at as after 3pm, i was guven a questionnaire beforehand which asked me to choose a check in which I did for 12-3pm. Room was not ready until close to 4pm. Finally, the location is horrible. We felt unsafe walking there at night

Major hassle getting the code for entry. We attired late and were unable to get hold of anyone to give us the entry code. Had to ring hotels.com to ask them to intervene. This was a major inconvenience. At the hotel, no milk supplied for tea/coffee. There is a fridge in self-catering studio so think it would be so easy to leave milk! Also, no curtains or blind on two of the windows.
The price was good, however and I did appreciate the comfortable bed.

Hotel in poorer area but safe and easily accessible.
Rooms very clean and well equipped with air con that worked though you could not alter the temperature setting.
Staff on reception very helpful.
Keypad entry to hotel gated compound and hotel reception which had it feel very secure
Only down side - my en-suite only had hand held shower head which was not ideal and not as advertised for the family room.

Bad cleaning servise

The cleaning was not sufficient. A lot of dust in the air and on the lamps. No signs of floor cleaning and no floor wet cleaning at all. During my 1-week stay one day the cleaning lady didn't appear at all. After three days she didn't put any more coffee/tea/biscuits on the tray and it stayed empty till the end of my stay; the day before the departure she even took away the soap i had been using without substitution it with a new one, so left me without soap at all; the rule for towels change was not always respected.
Though the hotel itself is quite nice, the reception personnel is friendly, and the provided handy is a useful gadget for foreign travellers.

Uncaring Staff not interested in hotel problems

Very disappointed with Stay - Internet did not work for duration of stay, when we complained the second time receptionist admitted it had been broken for several weeks - why not tell guests in advance? They suggested we use the in-room mobile device instead - this refused to charge and did not turn on. Worst was the fridge, light turned on and it appeared to work, but did not. We didn't realise until after the second night, by which time our toddler got sick as his food was not kept cold in 30-degree heat. All forgive-able except for the attitude of staff, who kept shrugging their shoulders and saying \"sorry\" but not caring. New room finally offered at 12pm on final day, but not worth changing with an early morning departure and with a toddler on a 35 degree day. Manager was uncontactable Sunday or Monday all day.
Pity as room/hotel was OK - but this is a basic hotel we booked for the ability to keep baby food in the fridge and use wifi - neither of which was available. To be told later that the \"Fridge has been tested and does work\" by a sarcastic receptionist was not helpful. Avoid - much better/cheaper places in lovely Bordeaux!

Very nice place, exactly as described. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Safe, secure and comfortable accommodation, slight issue with Air Conditioning but it was extremely hot. The Hotel could do with an outside seating area as there is plenty of space.

We stayed in the building by the road but had no issues with noise. The room was nice with a large king size bed. Good little kitchen and bathroom (there was a shower above the bath but nothing to hold it if standing in the bath). The hotel has plenty of parking spaces and it is within 15 mins walk to a major square with loads of bar and restaurant and right at the end of the very famous Saint Catherine shopping road.

Great stay, just a short stroll from the centre

I booked this hotel and then read some of the reviews (I know that you are supposed to do it the other way round). Anyway, don't believe the bad comments! Staff where wonderful although at times more guests than staff. The room we had was very clean and comfortable. The location is about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the center, but a 5 minute walk gets you to the closest tram stop. And the trams are frequent. An 8 minute walk gets you to bars and restaurants. So I would recommend this hotel for those on a budget.

The location of the hotel is very good with walking distance to the city centre but it is also quite enough. However, although we only stayed two nights our rooms weren't cleaned on the second day. The hotel staff weren't very keen on speaking English, which made communication a bit difficult. Moreover, the fact that there wasn't a 24hr reception makes it a bit of a hustle too. Otherwise, it is a decent hotel for the amount you pay for it.

The arrival was smooth, the staff was fantastic and helpfull once we got inside, but just out the gate the receptionist saw us and would not even bother to look and ask if we are trying to get into the hotel.

The stream of water in the shower is a bit weak but always hot water and very clean.
Wierd thing is that the cleaners put the things you left on the bed - under it.
We didn't lack any thing (but tea packs that we asked to refill and they forgot or wouldn't )
but the room was great, had everything and very close to the city centre and to the bus from the airport, thin walls but comfortable beds.

Good bedding but pillows are too soft. Clean and well equipped. Bathroom however lacks toiletteries ie. shower cap and cleaner forgot to refill shower / shampoo on both nights. Location is only 10 minutes walk to Line B tram and environment is safe. Great security. Front desk staff are nice but does not greet customers on entry. Overall is a very happy stay indeed.

Fantastic value stay in a great location

Before our stay we read through all the negative reviews this hotel has received and we were a little bit apprehensive to book our 2 nights here. However, as we were looking for good value and location, we decided to give it a chance.

Our stay did not disappoint in the slightest. Reception staff were incredibly friendly, reception was clean and tidy and the room itself was perfect for our needs. The room was large in size with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was modern and very clean. The kitchen area, despite being small had a decent 2 hobs, microwave and spacious fridge. They provide 1 pan, 1 pot, 4 plates, 1 knife and some cutlery - could have done with some bowls but otherwise fine. Tea and coffee provided - but maybe try and bring some milk if you can as this wasn't available.

The price was only £50 for 2 of us a night and considering it is a 5 minute walk into the centre, I would say that is pretty amazing. Neighbourhood seemed fine, everyone smiled or said Hello - some side streets looked fairly dodgy but be sensible and try to stay on the main tourist areas if you are worried. The car park is very secure with a big coded gate for entry.

Overall, we had a great experience in this hotel - comfortable and very affordable. I'm surprised with all the negative reviews but I guess people are more likely to review the negative experiences they have as apposed to the positive.

Pretty drab area driving to the hotel but once through the secure gates a very nice surprise. Reception very helpful and spoke English as my french is not very good. A great relief clean and comfortable
