We did not arrive on the 14th so they cancelled our reservation and charged us two rooms, one night!
Even though they had my phone #, no one reached out to us to ask why we hadn’t shown up.
We had to make other arrangements.

A budget type stay in a budget hotel. That’s the best way to describe this property and our stay. The room was reasonably clean and satisfactory other than the toilet paper which is given in a dispenser one square at a time. The breakfast buffet was limited and probably not worth the €19 per adult but was convenient if you have kids. The bar prices were unreasonably high (€6 for a can of Coke and €7 for water). The tram was not working and so the location, which isn’t the nicest part of town, turned out to be an inconvenient walk to the main areas where activity is present. But again, relatively cheap price overall for a somewhat mediocre property.

I booked this thinking it was a better option than the Radisson in Bordeaux. I regret not choosing the other hotel. The room was fine, the staff were fine but the overall experience was less than fine. Issues with the room, issues with being charged for drinks that weren’t mine, no ability to buy water (bar closed and no free bottle left in my room on any of the days).
I booked this with a discount code but it was still overly expensive for the experience. Better value hotels out there I think. I had fond memories of Novotel travelling to France with my family in the early 90’s. - I probably wouldn’t book again with this chain.

Lovely attitude of all staff. Check in was effortless. I asked for a late checkout and J was accommodated. Good selection of food and beverages at breakfast. The was no restriction to the amount of food available. Room was very comfortable. We we offered a free upgrade with free mini bar. We had a peaceful night sleep

Very disappointing for a 4* hotel

Upon seeing the room I was very surprised that this was a 4* hotel. We had booked a room with a king size bed and a sofa bed. Despite confirming that the sofa bed had been made up with clean linen when we checked in, it had not - instead it smelt unaired and obviously slept in. Additionally the waste bin in the room was so dirty they had to take it away when we showed it to staff (but they did not provide a replacement).
The kindest way to describe the decor/fixings is ‘tired’, the room also smelt damp and of stale cigarettes - as did any clothes left in the wardrobe. We also had to get the key card recoded several times as we would return to the room to find it didn’t work.
We went out for dinner one evening and returned about 11.45pm to find the hotel closed and locked. Then spent 10 minutes ringing the buzzer, before having to phone them to request they let us in.
However, I can confirm the buffet breakfast was very good.

Cons: limited dining options (on reservation during the week, none on weekend, not room service), the staff at the reception (a trainee) was also in charge of the bar, and was overwhelmed.

Well located

This hotel is close to the train station but not enough so that the noise can be a problem. There is a team stop more or less in front which will take you within 10-15 minutes to Place de la Bourse. Being in the older part of town not far from the train station, I felt uneasy at times in the evening. There was no noise in the room, it had a sofa and essentials for morning coffee. I did not try the breakfast because it was too expensive (I felt 18,50€ was a bit much). There aren’t cafés close by so you will have to get some downtown, at the train station or grab croissants and eat in your room. A beautiful city and this location is great to explore from. The entrance is welcoming with lots of space to relax. Check in was good. I would recommend and stay here again.

We enjoyed having our own terrace. The room was spacious and we enjoyed the in room refrigerator and coffee. We did not eat at the restaurant on-site. The staff was friendly and helpful. They arranged for a taxi to the airport for an early flight ($70 taxi fare). There is a supermarket around the corner for snacks, wine, etc to enjoy on your terrace. The train station is an easy 6 minute walk. There is a tram that stops in front of the hotel. We bought a 24 hour pass for $5 each. The shopping area is fun here. We did our own day trip to St Emillion which was fun. We would recommend this hotel.

The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful in providing us with information about places to see in Bordeaux and how to get there most efficiently. This greatly enhanced our relatively short visit to the city at the end of our holiday. The accommodation itself was also very comfortable.

Handy to the station

If like me you arrive by train this hotel is easy to walk to. If you don’t have the energy to walk into the city centre there is a tram station 100m away that will take you there.
A comfortable and reasonably spacious room but for no apparent reason the toilet was in a separate room right next to the bathroom. Not only did it make the toilet a small space but a spring loaded door meant it shut you in once in there.

Nuit très inconfortable avec une chaleur excessive dans la chambre (entre 28 et 29 degrés), chauffage éteint en cette fin avril. Très bruyant avec la fenêtre ouverte. Problème connu de l'hôtel, plusieurs clients se plaignent et la seule réponse apportée est le prêt d'un ventilateur. Sinon bon PDJ et personnel qui fait se qu'il peut. Ne vaut clairement pas son prix et n'est pas au standard de la marque. Bref, très déçu de mon séjour.

夜遅くに到着するため利用しました。朝食は豊富で満足しました。これでサラダがあれば満点です。スタッフもテキパキと働いて気持ちが良いです。ホットミールが充実していて、サーモンなどの魚が食べられたのも嬉しいことです。ボルドーが発祥の地であるカヌレも入っていて良かったです。一つ不思議なのは五種類以上のパンが提供されているにも関わらず、クロワッサンが見当たらなかっとことですね。フランスに来た気持ちを持たせてくれると嬉しいです。

Nous avons séjourné plusieurs jours dans cet hôtel et nous trouvons que le petit déjeuner est bon, varié et copieux.
Le personnel est agréable, courtois et disponible.
La décorartion est jolie.
En revanche, l’ascenseur qui fait peur avec les bruits mécaniques et la chaleur élevée (comme si c’était la canicule) dans la chambre malgré une température de 10-15 degrés dehors sont des points négatifs. Aucune solution n’est proposée et nous n’avons pas correctement dormi durant notre séjour avec cette chaleur.

O hotel é antigo, falta alguns reparos.
Achei o quarto pequeno para três pessoas, tamanho ideal para apenas duas pessoas.
O pessoal que trabalha no hotel é atencioso e educado.
A região não é muito boa, o único ponto super positivo é que fica do lado de uma estação de bonde elétrico.
O café da manhã é bom, com bastante opções.
No geral, um hotel nota 7 pra mim.

The hotel is one tram station or a 7 minutes walk away from the main train station. All major landmarks can be reached by tram or foot. While the rooms look newly renovated at first sight, some parts like the toilets or elevators definetely were not. The towels were of poor quality. Depending on which staff member is sitting at the réception desk, you are either being greeted in a friendly way, or not being looked at at all. The lady who checked us in and out was great, though. Unfortunately, the breakfast did not meet our expectations, as it was not up to date in terms of nutritions and variety.
