This was a very clean and maintained hotel right across from the main Bordeaux train station Gare St Jean. It’s also walking distance to a lot of the central Bordeaux attractions. The staff were excellent on check in/out and during the stay. The lobby is small but quaint with coffee and a little sitting area with games and books and a ukulele. Would highly recommend this especially if taking the train.

Booked a triple room for a one night stopover. Arrived after nine in the evening due to issues with Eurostar and missing a connection in Paris. Hotel about as close to station as it could be without actually being inside. No problem checking in late.
Room was small but adequate for what we needed and although it’s a very busy area didn’t really notice any noise issues.
Plenty of places to eat in area.

My only real complaint about the room was the bathroom door.... it was a swinging shower door as opposed to a \"real\" door which one can shut!!

This means ZERO toilet privacy and depending on with whom you are travelling, this can be extremely awkward!

The noise outside the room woke me up at 5am and the matress was about 10cm thick and moved around as it wasn't attached to the bed and was hot and uncomfortable so it was impossible to get a good night's sleep. There were homeless people sleeping in the doorway and some unsavoury charcters around at night and as a woman travelling alone I did not feel safe.

I chose this hotel as an overnighter and it's proximity to Bordeaux Gare Central as I had an early train to catch in the morning. There were a couple of restaurants outside of the main entrance, so perfect for a meal without having to search for one in town

Booked at short notice after a flight cancellation.
The hotel is situated very conveniently at Gare Saint Jean and is a twenty minute walk to the city centre conveniently passing the Marche de Capuchins on the way.
In this instance what I paid did not represent good value for me and I was given an adjoining room separated only a very thin door and it contained a very noisy neighbour.

Stay here for the excellent proximity to the train station. Room was tiny, but clean, and the bed was comfortable. With large laundry carts filling the hallway and all amenities being a la carte, it felt like a hostel. Breakfast featured a range of options with decent quality.

Hotel is perfectly located for the train station , that does mean of course that it can be a little noisy outside. The room was small, and a very tiny bathroom, but all spotlessly clean and tidy. I didn’t like the mattress or pillows much, but I have trouble sleeping anyway so I could be being fussy.

Hotel is in an old building and parts of the interior, especially the corridors, need renovating. Bathroom was clean with modern fittings, but it was desperately cramped. There was hardly space to move and there was no clear space even to hang the toilet rolls or towels. Bedroom was clean with comfortable bed. If you opened the window for much needed fresh air, it was noisy. It is across the road from the main station. But that meant easy transport everywhere. It is on two tram routes.

Only one night but for the time in bdx we are satisfied. The earlybird breakfast at half price is worth it.the hotel is very close from the train station therefor very easy to walk to the shuttle going to the airport.

The only thing we did not like is the cigaret smell in our room… probably coming from the carpet… beside that the hotel is very clean and convenient.

The staff were very helpful and the position opposite the train station was perfect for us. The tram stop was also right there. The room was small but all amenities were provided. Coffee or tea in the tiny foyer for a small charge. The shower and carpet needed a good clean. However, the hotel is undergoing renovations at the moment.

Convenient stay for train travellers

This hotel is very conveniently located near the train station, and the staff was very helpful. We had two adjoining rooms, which worked great for four adults travelling together. Breakfast was a bit chaotic and certain things were in short supply (which wasn't surprising since it seemed like some guests were packing an extensive lunch to go too, leaving crumbs for the rest!). Our one actual complaint was that although it was non-smoking one of the rooms had obviously had a smoker in it in the past and the smell lingered on.

Comfortable hotel close to train station

We chose this hotel as we only had a few hours in Bordeaux before catching a train the following morning. It was right opposite the main train station with some shops, bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. It was about a 25 minute easy walk to the city centre.
The hotel looked new and the room was small but very comfortable. Everything was spotless and we had a friendly reception. Breakfast was also varied and plentiful.

Room was very small but bathroom was so small that you had to lean when sitting on toilet because shoulders were against the wall. No shelving to handle toiletries for dressing in the morning. Had to search for the toilet paper holder as it was hidden behind towels and behind you almost impossible to reach. Shower was very small as well, with low water pressure. Water would go from hot to cold to hot all on it's own.
Wifi was terrible.

Air conditioning was great and appreciated the elevator.

Right across street from the Gare St. Jean makes this hotel extremely convenient for transportation in and out of Bordeaux. And the tram is right outside the door as well, which makes accessing the center of town and other attractions, like the Cite du Vin, easy. Small rooms, but smartly furnished with new furnishings and comfortable bedding.

This hotel served its purpose as a bed for the night. The rooms are tight, but clean and comfortable. The staff are great: friendly, helpful, and patient. You have the option ($) of a pretty good buffet breakfast too. The location is right across from the train station, which makes it super convenient. The rest of the area is a bit more *interesting*, but there’s a lot of foot traffic around, so it seems to be fine.

I will not return to this hotel in future, most rooms have lingering smoke odor even though they claim to be a non smoking hotel. Don’t spend any nights here if you have young children in tow or are sensitive to smoke. Breakfast was great, beds were not comfortable, fabrics and materials of bedding were extremely hot/sweaty, I didn’t spend a good night.

A perfect storm of issues

The hotel was conveniently located next to the train station which is what we needed for this visit. The hotel is on a 2-pipe heating system which means they are either running heat or AC, but not both. It happened to be hot in the city and there was no way to cool the room down. The windows were cabled shut (actually opened 2-4”) but it was so noisy outside it was better to be hot. Then the internet went down with no info on when or if it would be restored. The staff was very nice, but for the price you can find other, better accommodations in town.
