You can utilize the on-site gym overlooking the ocean or borrow a bike to tour the island. The pools are clean and don't have a strong clorine smell. The grocery store on the property allows you to save money and prepare homemade meals if you like.

it was raining when we got in so thing was a little chaotic. That being said i ask for a room that had 2 twin beds like the picture shown but intend gave us bunk beds for 3 single ladies. i asked if there was a reason i didn't get the 2 twins they said then didn't have that any more ok as a VIP guested i would believe they would try to accommodate! but left it alone. found out later he accused me of being Rude- for asking about a request.

The smiles on their faces and “welcome home” made me feel like we were at the perfect place in all of Belize! BluZen exudes luxury and exclusivity. The courtesy ferry boat to the South Island was so accommodating. I would not change a thing. Well La Forgata would be better if their standard was reflective of the resorts standard. It is not. The place was quaint and cute but “we don’t have…” is never a good introduction. It will not take away from the beauty of the resort but I’d rather walk a few more steps off the resort to the Happy Lobster. Great trip overall and absolutely will not be the last visit to BluZen 💙

Excellent views. Slippery sidewalks when wet. Wrong finish on concrete nearly slipped three times. The stairs to the units are not safe when wet from rain. Again the finish on the steps is extremely slippery when wet. Slipped on 4th flour steps and nearly slid out the side of the railing 30 plus feet. They need better paint with traction grit in it.

This hotel is a must visit when in Belize! The property is beautiful, the staff are attentive and very kind. The unit exceeded my expectation. It was a sad feeling leaving but if ever back in Belize it’s without a doubt that I will be back. I also wanted to mention that Jairo was so helpful. He also made a point to remember my boyfriend’s and I’s name and that attention to detail did not unnoticed. I highly would recommend this place.

Condos and grounds are well kept. On site restaurant run by outside owner was a disappointment mainly due to lack of food options in low season (no pizza at this pizza place!). This is a great place to stay if you are looking for solitude. The condos are absolutely gorgeous, modern, and spacious. There was a beautiful view of the ocean from the living room couch. The staff was super responsive and customer friendly.The only thing is this is the northern part of the island and it is not that developed yet. So there is not a lot of things you can walk to. However, they do have a boat shuttle that is an 8 minute ride to the other part of the island that has much more to do.

Staff was welcoming and accommodating especially Elvi who was very pleasant and went above and beyond to get us settled in. In my opinion food was mid and could improve but it wasn't terrible. Overall I loved this property and chill vibes it was perfect for a recent. For others who are unfamiliar with the area every thing requires transportation by boat. A shuttle is provided at no cost to guest by Blue Zen to the village where the main water taxi terminal is as well as other dinning options. However ,if you want to go to San Pedro or back and forth to Belize City that will be in by water taxi which is a cost.

I needed a break from a hectic, city life. Blu Zen was the answer. It is a very private, beautiful resort with the kindest staff - shout out to Erica, Jiro and Elvi! And Chris, the driver! Time just slowed down, while I enjoyed a fabulous birthday massage and dinner, reading, restful sleep and the cooling tradewinds. I've added Blu Zen to my short list of favorite getaways and plan to visit again.

I will say, the place only has 2 golf carts which means you have to be fast to rent one for the day. This is definitely something I think they could get more of. We was greeted at the boat and walked to our room by the concierge. The room was great. Pools was great. Boat taking us to the south island ran like clockwork. We was there during hi sargassum season and very little issues. People working at every level of the complex was nice. Even the construction workers. View is excellent also. Pools good. Best place on any of the islands we have visited.

Blu Zen was amazing ! The property itself is beautiful ! The 3 pools are nice and clean. They are still adding onto the property so there is construction going on but not close enough to be a bother. The beach part of the resort is not big but also enough for my son to build sand castles and dig. There are no sun loungers on the beach but I didn’t mind. There are two pools right behind the beach. There is a lot of seaweed but they do a good job of cleaning it up. Our 2 bedroom condo was spacious and very clean. No complaints at all. The laundry in unit was super convenient. The ferry to the main island is also very convenient. The two restaurants are good but the food on the main island is worth the 5 min boat ride. The staff is super nice and helpful, Jairo made us feel right at home, he was amazing. The pools were never packed. Some days we had it all to ourselves. I can’t rave about this place enough.

The property was really nice looking. The condo we stayed in was nice as well. The condo looked like it was cleaned in a rush. The tv in the guest room didn't work. I had to ask several times for it to be fixed & it wasn't fixed until the day before we left. The staff didn't want to give additional towels either. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. Had one of the best massages at the spa on sight.

Beautiful property but location and transportation options are a huge con with this hotel. The North Side is completely isolated from the rest of Caye Caulker. Resort needs to hold an abundance of golf carts to accommodate guests as transportation to and from the hotel is extremely limited. Wasn't able to rent golf carts nor bikes for our families to explore. Everything was gone by 7am and they do not allow reservations.
We made the sweaty walk over to Happy Lobster on the North Side only to find the gate locked and nobody there in spite the hours clearly saying open.
Ferry runs throughout the day but if you miss one, it could be another 2 hours before the next one goes out. Property is amazing but the location is not convenient at all.

BluZen is a gorgeous property. The unit was overlooking the ocean, clean and full of kitchen items. The only downside is the tub did not plug. We were not able to use the bathtub and the tv internet didn’t work great but we didn’t come to watch tv. When we were there, the resort was basically empty. There were days when we had the pool to ourselves. Very quiet and calm-zen! You could ferry over to south caye caulker at any time so you had access to get around easily. The bad part was the sargassum. We booked BluZen because of the man made beach and hammocks over the water. That was no use to us. The sea weed was so bad you couldn’t use the beach. The smell was really bad. I know it’s something that is difficult to control, but I feel like we couldn’t make use of other pools as much. The restaurants on property are just okay. The lotus was good for lunch but drinks weren’t great. Dinner was just okay and breakfast was okay. The fogota had better drinks but food just okay. We really liked the vibe there. There are lots of great restaurants nearby-however. You can rent a golf cart for 80 dollars a day but I recommend getting there early because they only have two to rent and they are first come first serve. They had fishing poles in the office, which would have been nice if they offered due to sargassum, but they said you had to book fishing tour to use them. Either way, it would have been nice to have been offered something since we couldn’t use beach or swim in ocean.

The staff was amazing, food was good and the units are modern and spacious. The transportation to and from the village was nice as well. Many options if you do not want to stay on the North Caye Caulker.

We had an amazing time at BluZen! The apartment was so clean and transportation was seamless. The staff’s kindness made the experience truly special. The free ferry to the South Island was incredibly convenient, and the property itself was serene. I highly recommend the bamboo massage, hanging out in the hammocks at sunset, and the half day snorkel tour to Hol Chan. The food was delicious, and we even got to catch our favorite NBA team’s game at La Fogata! Thank you to all of the wonderful staff at BluZen, we hope to be back in the future!

The property was beautiful and the rooms were very clean. We did not like that there was a lot of seaweed on the beach during our time and they didn't really spend enough time cleaning it that you would want to enjoy the beach. Would've liked it if the at least one of the pools were heated so we could've enjoyed the water much more.

Beautiful place, awesome staff, great food. Quiet compared to the south of the island, which was fun too. Qiuck 19 min boat ride. Some construction going on, that really bother me, as the condos are expanding. Highly recommeded, can't wait to go again!

We had a lovely time at Blue Zen, the property and staff are great, shout out to Jairo the front desk supervisor for being attentive and helpful. The only thing needed was a dining area in the newer phases which shouldn't be a problem for much longer as construction is underway!

We had a decent stay here, but there was construction right beside our unit (V3 - penhouse). We have stayed in other places with things like this going on, and we've always been informed and usually offered a discount. We found it misleading to allow booking without letting guests know there will be machinery and hammering all day long. I would recommend that future guests ask before booking as there is a lot of expansion going on at the resort. We payed a premium for a unit right beside a construction site.
Don't expect a beach or swimming, but there's not much of that on the island. The north end is super sleepy, which we loved.
We found the restaurant, The Happy Lobster, down the street to be the better choice for food. If you're going to eat in the north, I'd stick to that restaurant (as of 2025).
