This place is beautiful everything is luxury! Only thing I opened a bottle in the mini fridge and the wine had mold in the bottle. However, the room is spotless the hotel is beautiful and the food and staff are very friendly! The area it is in Weho very close to everything and very nice.

Can’t say enough good things about the staff and service. We were only there for one night, but we were treated like special guests. Gorgeous decor, fitness center, pool, rooms, ba to rooms. Our requests were accommodated, the kids got little gifts from the staff, the in-room dining meals and Ospero breakfast were delicious, the views were spectacular, the amenities were plentiful. We usually don’t like to stay at the same hotel more than once, but this one definitely “rose” to our needs and likes. Thank you!

Our stay at the Sun Rose West Hollywood was simply fantastic! Where to start?
The staff was wonderful, the room spacious and clean, the rooftop bar and pool were amazing (the views!) and the food at Merois just delicious.
The Sun Rose has the best hotel gym I've ever seen (not just weights and machines but also a separate room for stretching, yoga etc.) and a lovely spa. I can't wait to visit again! Thank you!

Our experience was terrible from the moment we checked in. We were placed in a room that we did not pay for. We had booked and paid nearly twice as much for a very nice one-bedroom suite, yet were silently put into a basic, much lesser room without any explanation.

After checking in, we went back to the front desk because we suspected something was wrong. Only then were we told that the room we originally booked was “having issues” and was no longer available. This was never mentioned prior to check-in, and no attempt was made to notify us in advance or offer options. We were simply told we had to take the lesser room.

What made this experience especially frustrating and dishonest was that there was no discussion at all about pricing, refunds, or compensation, despite the room we were given being less than half the price of what we paid for. That lack of transparency and accountability felt very deceiving.

This was our first stay here, and it will absolutely be our last. Basic customer service starts with honesty and communication, and this experience showed neither. They made it very clear from the beginning that customer experience and repeat business are not a priority.

No detail is left to chance at the Sun Rose. Down to the velvety cushions in every chair, to the art deco styling, to the seasonal touches, to the in-room robes you will long to take home, every little thing is on purpose and well designed for beauty and comfort alike. The food is like poetry: each dish has layers of experiences and textures to keep you enthralled (yes, food can really be this good). Our favorite part of all was the people we met. D. Lo took excellent care of our car, helped us newbies every step of the way, and even held my phone just for me when I accidentally left it behind! His warmth and good humor were an excellent start to a perfect stay. Doug at the front desk told us all we needed to know, with style and infectious enthusiasm. He gave us insider tips right away so we would have an even better experience. Each day when she saw us, Brooke checked in to make sure everything was to our liking. Her attention to detail, positivity, and one-in-a-million smile were always welcome. Every question we had she had a detailed answer for us. We also adored the heated saltwater pool on the roof, “basement” bowling, city views over dinner, and world class spa. You will not regret choosing to stay here!! Bring cash for tips, as this staff earns them a thousand times over!

Wow! What a beautiful hotel with the most incredible and hospitable staff. Sadly we only got to indulge for 24 hours but during this time, our stay was nothing short of impeccable. We needed a place to stay in West Hollywood and found the Sun Rose to be a very good choice. It's not uber luxury but it is comfortable. The rooms were decent sized and while somewhat dated, they were very clean. Service was excellent at the front desk and we found the valet and bell team to be responsive. The restaurant was ok but there are many nearby options. The location is excellent.

Terrible hotel

I stayed at this hotel for five nights, and unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing.

At checkout, there were unresolved issues regarding incorrect charges and missing invoice details. Although the staff member assured me these would be addressed after checkout, no follow-up was ever provided. I sent a follow-up email, but received no response. When I later called the hotel to follow up, the staff I spoke with was neither helpful nor courteous. The entire process felt unprofessional and irresponsible.

Another frustrating incident occurred while waiting to check out. Even though I had arrived first, three other guests who came after me were assisted before me. To make things worse, it wasn’t even the same staff member — yet none of them respected the order in which guests were waiting. This showed a lack of basic courtesy and respect.

During my stay, there was also a day when, after the room was cleaned, no bottled water was provided — a basic amenity that should not be overlooked in a hotel of this level.

Overall, my experience was terrible. The staff I encountered consistently showed a lack of responsibility and professionalism. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience

Not a 5-star hotel anymore

Service has gotten way worse since the last time I stayed 6 months ago. Hotel did not give me the room I paid for initially. Gave me one without view and called it an upgrade. No service at the pool at all. $70 overnight parking fee is new. The valet folks scratched the flap of the car’s charging port because they couldn’t open it. Very unfortunate.
