A very spacious resort with a lot of things to do. A lot of restaurants, food choices. Pools were clean and there’s so many of them! I will definitely go back.
The only thing to keep in mind, is the no elevators in certain buildings and when we checked in we weren’t told of this.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Riu Santa Fe. This was our first time at this Riu and we were fully aware that there was no top shelf alcohol and that the food was basically all buffet style with the exception of two restaurants, both of which had fairly basic menus. But the food was not bad, just not fantastic. The resort was kept extremely clean and it was huge so there was always something new to do or see. I'd suggest avoiding spring break time as the young kids that overtook the resort on the last day of our trip were outrageous. The beach was beautiful and the view was spectacular. The staff were great for the most part. Dessi at the pool bar Tequila was a blast! And Reyna at reception made sure we got the most beautiful view from our room. The only negative experience was that when we went to check out 10 mins before our shuttle arrived, there was a long line and then we were told that since we didn't have our towel cards we'd have to pay 7.00 per towel even though our towels were in the room. We were never told at check-in that we'd need to return the towel cards and we didn't even think about it. So my husband had to run back to our room, which was 10-15 mins from check-out to bring her the physical towels to avoid being charged. While I was waiting for him to get back I saw the same thing happen to 2-3 other families. So that communication at the time of check-in needs to be made more clear. Otherwise it seems semi intentional to force people to pay

This place is like a rotting zombie all dressed up like a first class passenger aboard the Titanic. At first glance it appears quite luxurious, but once you move deeper into the bowels of the property you smell the sewage and the mold at various locations. My room smelled like a Petri dish overflowing with mildew. By the end of day one, every single food item tasted the same, from the icecream to the most decadent slab of meat, with this suspiciously peculiar aftertaste. I usually never leave reviews like this, but I paid 500$ to stay here for two nights and it was the worst accommodations I have ever encountered anywhere in Mexico. I will never stay here again.

I booked this trip on a whim after my flight to puerto Vallarta turned around to go home on 2/22/26. The reviews made me nervous but I thought it definitely had redeeming qualities.

The grounds are quite pretty and there’s lots of activities for kids and adults to do to pass the time. My family stayed on resort most of the week.

The pools and water slides are pretty cool. The kids water park is great. The kids love it and it feels pretty safe.

The riu land kids show every night after dinner was an awesome way to end the night. The kids loved it and played with all the other kids and danced around. Super cute.

The food was ok. It’s not as bad as people made it sound. It’s comparable to other all inclusive mediocre bland buffet food. Lots of fresh fruit and veggies. It didn’t make any of us sick so that’s cool!

Towards the end of the stay we saw the crowd take a turn. Before it was a bunch of chill canadiens and families. But then a surge of 18-21 year old American spring breakers checked in and it did harsh my mellow a little bit. Although they didn't keep me up at night and were not directly mean or aggressive to us. Just annoying. Lol

Overall we had a good time and I would consider going back.

Beautiful resort.Only thing was it is huge so an extreme amount of walking.There should be a tram and benches so you can at least sit down to rest.Food was pretty decent.Was there for 2 weeks and really enjoyed it.

Beautiful pool and beach area. Nighttime parties and dance clubs are geared towards a younger crowd. Buffets are good but are repetitive, and close at 10:00. No room service or late night snack options other than hot dogs and cheese nachos. Beautiful location and stunning views of the sunrise and sunset.

Other guests brought the party back to their room meaning we were woken up every night at least once. Not a place for a relaxing vacation so won’t go back.

When we arrived, we were greeted by staff, We went to the desk to check in and was told we would have to wait a few hours before we could get into our room, unless we wanted to upgrade and pay extra, the guy at the front desk said he would waive the fee of the upgrade if we was good to him, in other words if we tipped him really well he could get us in a room right then. So, we paid him a $100 and got into our room, the only downfall was we asked to not be around any kids, our room was directly over the kiddy pool. The room was clean, we had no issues with the kids at all, Our Building was quite a walk away from all the entertainment, but we managed. When we went to check out we discovered that we only had one towel key on us and we were charged $9 for the other key that was left in our room. The lady that checked us out was terribly rude and didn't care that we had left our key in the room, we didn't have it at check out so we were being charged. Also, the ladies at the little shop on site was very rude they were like put out every time we went into the store to buy something. They didn't understand English and we felt they were annoyed with us being there, we would ask a question, and they would all look at each other and then kind of brush us off like we didn't matter. Very nice place to stay just most of the workers were rude.

This is not a family friendly environment at all, you cant even sleep at night because theres a bunch of drunk teenagers all around screaming and making so much noise if you have kids avoid this place, food is pretty bad i had to eat chips and guacamole for 3 days because the food is awful not even talk about the drink they are the worse you cant even find a good lemonade

Because of national incident and cartels causing unsafe conditions and US governments warning about traveling to this area we couldn't go because of concerns for our safety and our lives. Hotel and Expidia refused to give us any refund.
Hotel and Expidia are totally unreasonable and I will never book another stay at that hotel, ever. We lost all the money and a refund would be appreciated.

I tried almost all the restaurants and snack bars and nothing was enjoyable and tasteful. I think breakfast at the country restaurant was the best meal I had. It was also disappointing to find out that they do not have any elevators; I was in the 4th floor.

Had a great experience, the Room was clean and bar fridge stocked every day. We travelled with our 4 year old son and the kids entertainment through the day and the show at night was interactive and really engaging for him. I am a Foody and I found the food to be very good, it's obviously not Michelin star but if you are expecting that you shouldn't stay at an all inclusive. The staff was courteous and polite and professional. Nevere was in need of anything, and felt a very positive vibe the whole time. I would highly recommend it, and I absolutely would and will stay here again.

Rooms were nice and clean, cleaners were very quick and efficient getting rooms cleaned fast to minimize guest impact. Some staff at Buffett restaurants would not bring cutlery or bring beverages to the table unless I got their attention. Most bartending staff were good with the exception of a woman at the bar who was very reluctant to make anything other than basic drinks.

most of the staff was good, but there could be some improvement on hospitality. we had one waiter (Oliver) that served us breakfast and he was amazing, by far our favourite but nobody else stuck out to us. thr food was okay, but it was very repetitive lol. cleaning staff was great. activities were very fun!

Everything was amazing and the staff were the best! So friendly and helped us whenever we needed. The activity coordinators Ahiry, Gail and
Keina are the best! They are so good at their jobs by alway getting people to excited and making the experience so much fun! This was the best trip ever and it had to do with every staff coming from the front desk to the cleaners making animals out of towels to the bar. 50/10 stay would definitely recommend! There was very good food and even better drinks.

Our room was clean and kept up daily. Our mini fridge was stocked daily. The food at the restaurants and buffets was great. Lots of options for us and our daughter. Pool areas were great but it was busy so it was hard to find lounge chairs. People would get up at 6-7am to put their towels on chairs to reserve them.

We stayed 4 nights. The resort is huge and we were a little worried about the size but it turned out to be perfect. We stayed with 2 teenagers. Rooms were clean, staff was excellent. The resort felt really safe. There were lots to do with nightly entertainment.

We stayed five nights at Hotel Riu Santa Fe in Cabo with our 13-month-old baby. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The room and common areas were clean and well maintained, and the staff was generally friendly.

The food was mediocre, but that’s somewhat what you expect at a large all-inclusive resort.

Unfortunately, we had two very difficult and honestly frightening nights due to extremely intoxicated guests screaming and shouting in the corridors around 1:00 a.m. The noise was very loud, and our baby woke up scared and crying. We informed hotel management, and while they said they removed the guests from the area, we were told they could not offer any refund or compensation for the disturbance.

Overall, it’s a clean and lively resort, but families with small children should be aware that late-night noise from other guests can be an issue.

We absolutely loved our stay in Cabo at Riu Santa Fe. The staff were so warm & welcoming. The cleanliness was outstanding even outdoors. The weather was beautiful. The food was delicious. Drinks were delicious & not cheap on the pour.

The entertainment was incredible & the excursions offered were also great. We booked a whale watching & arches tour. The price was low & the experience was so fun! We observed many humpback breaches super close by including an approximately 2 month old calf. The crew was very knowledgeable about the whales & took photos of everyone with the arches behind us.

The shops at the resort were a nice bonus. We were able to pick up souvenirs & Mexican sweets without leaving the property & for good prices! The only reason why i remove 1 star is the amount of times we encountered employees upselling us on things & claiming to give \"discounts\" if we give them direct tips. Additionally, there is a rope on the beach that appears to separate the resort from the public beach, but the rope does nothing to keep the extremely persistent locals away from offering us goods for sale, including drugs.

Even when we say no they do not back off. They continue to follow you around the beach, even offering \"free drug samples\". It takes away from the experience. That, however, i do not blame the resort for. There's only so much that can be done to avoid locals from trying to make a living. As persistent as they are, you just have to continue saying no or ignore them.

I stayed at RIU Santa Fe expecting a true 5 star experience, but unfortunately it fell far short and I want to share this so others can plan accordingly.
From the moment we arrived, the experience was underwhelming. The front desk staff were not helpful and no one offered to assist with luggage. There was also no welcome drink or any sense of arrival hospitality, which is surprising for a resort at this price point and rating.
The RIU app was essentially useless. It was glitchy and did not help with reservations or planning, so do not rely on it during your stay.
Another important thing to note is that there are no elevators. If you are staying on the second floor or higher, be prepared to carry all of your luggage up the stairs yourself.
The biggest disappointment was dining. There is no way to make reservations for specialty restaurants online or by phone. The only option is to physically wait in line before the restaurant opens. The waiting process is absurd, especially when traveling with a little one like we were. We attempted this multiple times and were never successful. One time there were over 30 people ahead of us. As a result, we never got to eat at any of the specialty restaurants during our stay.
The only positive is the view, which is absolutely unbeatable and truly beautiful.
Overall, this resort does not operate or feel like a 5 star property. If food variety, service, and convenience are important to you, I strongly recommend considering other options.

Pros: exterior is beautiful, landscaping is beautiful, the pool party was a blast, bartenders quick and made decent drinks. The wait staff was kind. I lost weight (read further and you will know why). Proximity to the marina.

Cons: despite advertising on Expedia and their website they do NOT offer free shuttle service and they were not willing to make it right.
Uber is not allowed to pick you up on property forcing you to use the taxi service they have. And shockingly our driver fell asleep transporting us to the airport (at 9am)!
The gentleman checking us in was rude, he snapped at me for not finishing my online check in, which I did and got an email confirming I did.
The room smelled musty and there was no air on for our arrival. We were suppose to have two queens and instead they took to fulls and pushed them together, the sofa was DISGUSTING so we were afraid to sit on it let alone sleep on it.
We were promised a garden view, we got a view of another building.
The food was terrible, I have stayed at all inclusive places (and cruises) in the past and NEVER had such terrible food. The last morning there I went to get cereal and a roach crawled out of the tray that catches milk spillage.
Speaking of food when we went to the steak house early in the evening we were told they were booked up, but we were told no reservations.
No elevators in our building, adult pools small, pools dirty, I could continue but I am running out of characters.
