I was there for a long stay. Breakfast provided was poor. One day they ran out of bread, another yogurt. No bacon or sausage offered as a protein, only scrambled eggs for 11 days. My room was not being cleaned well. Had to ask for new sheets and a good cleaning on day 8. Paint peeling and walls dirty. Front desk staff however was always very friendly and helpful. Bed was hard and did not have Marriott standard bedding.

The staff are super nice! But If you’re planning to sleep, forget it. There’s music blasting all night like you’re stuck in a club you never signed up for, and by the second day you’re completely dead.

The hotel is old and dirty, the pool looks sketchy, and the shower never had hot water. Ever.

Run away from this place! I don’t know how this is a Marriott!

There was two bugs that crawled out of the shower spicket. I only have footage of one. One I flushed. One flesh on the drain. It was unfortunately next to my natural hair. I washed my hair, and extensions and natural hair.

The room was decent but too much for being next to a trash dump. Not many tv channels, most in Spanish, and no movie options. No complimentary toiletries, no bar on site, and no business center despite a sign that says there is one. There is a computer in the lobby that doesn’t allow access to even check emails. It’s more like a motel, where all you need is a bed and nothing more.

Front desk staff were nice. Couldn’t check in early but they were able to lock up our bags for several hours. The bathroom didn’t have enough towels. The bath tub soap and shampoo bottles were empty. The complimentary breakfast was actually worth staying for! We would stay again.

The room was an OK condition. The tiles felt like they shifted when you stepped on them. The bed was slightly uncomfortable. Once you spent a couple nights in it. It was very loud and I am assuming they just added a new nightclub across the street. We have stayed in this hotel several times and the noise was not there. Housekeeping only seemed to come at a certain time and our room was never cleaned in the four days we were there. We are late sleepers.

Sheets and towels are worn out. The shower stall was disgusting and drains slowly. Faint sewer smell in the hallway. Music from club across the street was way too loud until 2 a.m. I got sick and needed an ambulance and staff didn’t have proper training in handling emergency situations. I checked out 2 days early due to illness and I was not given a refund. Never again will I stay here.

My stay for one night at Fairfield by Marriott.

The staffs were very helpful. Had problem with the room light switch, light would not turn on. The switch plate cover fell off when turning on the light, but the light didn't come on. Had to get maintenance guy to fix the switch plate and get the light working properly. Not good for a customer coming back to the room after a long day outside. Other than that everything else was pretty normal nothing to brag about.

Rooms are clean and staff helpful. It is a bit of a walk to the marina. The free buffett breakfast was sub par and skimpy at best. Pancakes but no syrup the next day syrup but no pancakes. No decaff coffee, marmalade, yogurt one day, very watery oatmeal, Something that looked like tortilla soup, and only sliced bread. Marriot can do better.

This property is so bad that I will be reporting it directly to Marriott.
1st room had no safe.
Moved to second room. Safe did not work and toilet did not flush. Heavy band music all through the night until 4:30 am!
Moved to 3rd room.
Expedia quoted rate of $774 and hotel charged $806.

Fantastic Hotel at a Great Price!

Really great experience at the Fairfield in Cabo. The rooms were on the smaller size, but we had a big, comfortable king bed. Everything was recently renovated and very clean. The included breakfast was fresh and tasty, front desk had excellent service, and was a 10-15 minute walk from the mall/marina. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed in hete to experince downtown Cabo for a few days before moving to an all inclusive resort for a wedding
The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the marina and beach area. The hotel staff were helpful. The breakfast was ok. There are several large party venues across the street so it can be noisey itbthe front rooms at night. It a good place to stay for a couple of nights.

First surprise was during check in. We reserved through Expedia making sure the property is pet friendly by checking the option. We paid the room rate however upon checkin to the hotel they asked for an extra 35 USD for having a pet in the room. That was definitely a surprise. Nowhere it mentioned that there will be rate above the room rate for pets. Since I checked the option in Expedia you would expect the rate would include the pet charge.
The second even bigger surprise is there is a restaurant across the street that plays very loud music. We asked the reception desk and the guy said this music goes on until 4 am. We had been travelling all day and exhausted so needless to say that didn’t go down so well with us. We asked for another room on the other side of the building away from the restaurant but there was nothing available. The guy at reception was trying to be helpful. He ended up moving to a room a little further away but everyone should be aware when booking at this hotel that the music is so loud there is no way you can get a good nights sleep.

The place is clean though and the rooms are acceptable.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU PLAN ON SLEEPING!!! Unless you can sleep through a music festival right outside your window, you won’t get any. The hotel itself was ok. Staff were nice. Breakfast average with not much choice. Bed quite comfortable. Bedding could have been better with a blanket or doona. The worst part of this place is the club/bar across the road. Loud music is played ALL night. It went until 5am. Then started up again around lunchtime. I could not get any sleep at all at this place and was so happy to leave. I was not warned about this. Had I known, I would have stayed elsewhere. Beware!!!

Great breakfast buffet, they are pet friendly and the place is clean and well kept, it always has been that way for the last 15 plus years. My only complaint is the only ice machine was on the 3rd floor and I don’t think it even worked very good. The 1st, 2nd and 4th floor ice machines were removed. I hope they can add at least one more ice machine, that’s important for people that have special food or medicine that needs to be kept cold.

We were 4 people staying in a room and the first day they only gave us 2 towels and when we asked for two more, they said they did not have any more as they were in the laundry. The next day we did not have any towels either. After calling 4 times and complaining twice, we finally got the towels. Also, the housekeeping did not clean the rooms or bathrooms properly, did not even make the beds. The bedsheets were just folded. Terrible shower quality and pressure. Bear stuffed toy in the lobby was cute though.

Location was convenient to downtown area. Poor service, few amenities. Broken water pipes in the ceiling leaking into the lobby and parking area. Room door lock malfunctioned 5 times in the 3 nights we stayed. Room towels were hard to come by. No computer workstation as advertised, and no bar or restaurant. Not a place I would recommend.

We found the hotel itself to be ok- not amazing, but not the worst. King sized bed we booked was not available, but 2 queens were ok. Beware this location if you want a good nights sleep (especially a room on front of hotel)- the bar across the street had extremely loud music playing until 5:00 in the morning and sleep was impossible.

I read most of the reviews before making our reservation and I was concerned about the street noise from the Karaoke Bars. When I did book our stay, I messaged the Hotel and specifically asked for a room away from the street noise. They happily acknowledged my request and ensured me that they could do it. When we arrived, they kept their promise and gave us a nice room on the 4th floor facing the Sunrise.

The Hotel itself is nice and clean and a very good value. The Hotel Staff are very nice and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean with newer furniture. We had a slight issue with the shower knob falling off. Maintenance quickly came and fixed it within minutes. The pool, gym and dining room are also nice and well kept. The Breakfast was good and they provided a variety of options that made it more like a Brunch. It’s a very short walk to City Club, Walmart, Chedraui, The Marina, Centro, etc. It’s the first Hotel as you come into town so that’s nice!

The only negative issue we had was at check-in. I alway pay at time of booking but decided not to this time because the Peso was going down next to the Dollar. The Hotel’s Credit Card machine was having a communication issue and after an hour, and 5 attempts with 2 different cards and calls to both Credit Card companies and Orbitz it finally went through! My advice is to ALWAYS pay online ahead of time!

Despite the negative check-in experience, I would definitely choose the Fairfield Marriott for my next stay.

It’s your standard Marriott Fairfield and the property is exactly what you expect if you’re a Marriott member. The location is a 10 minute walk to the wharf, beaches, Walmart and the grocery store. The surrounding area is safe just a few deserted lots with graffiti and trash, but if you can look past those minor issues. You’ll enjoy your stay.

It rained Friday which I totally understand the pool being closed. Saturday morning we went to go to the pool they told us not ready. Well ok they put the furniture back out. We are sitting waiting. They said nothing to us. Went to ask well we have to put chemicals in.Ok waiting again. Waited for7/8hrs. Finally I quess after we kept asking they finally let us in.Should have ready Sat morning it was sunny and hot.

Staying at the Fairfield by Marriott was a great choice. It was my first time in Cabo, and I didn’t know what to expect during my visit.

The hotel staff played a big part in making my stay a good experience because they were very nice and made a lot of suggestions on the best local restaurants and activities. Shout out to Demaris for going the extra mile to give a lot of recs!

There were a few drawbacks to this hotel. There was no refrigerator or microwave, so taking leftovers from the restaurants back to eat for the next day wasn’t an option. It also isn’t all-inclusive, so if you’re looking for that, there are obviously a bunch of other hotels in Cabo to choose from.

However, the convenience factor was the biggest benefit, as it is walking distance to a few breakfast and taco restaurants, as well as Walmart, which we definitely utilized.

Overall, I would recommend staying at Fairfield by Marriott, and I would book this hotel again!

The hotel is fine. It’s conveniently located and clean. The staff is cordial enough, except for Roberto who went above and beyond. He helped me to book a taxi and was so kind. He was friendly and clearly cared. The hotel does not have first aid, so don’t expect them to have bandaids or anything to assist if you have any cuts or bruises. Otherwise it was fine.
