We stayed at the Tesoro in Cabo for 11 days. The property is a little older but in very good shape. This location is fabulous with great views of the marina. Most restaurants and shops are located within walking distance.

The ocean was visible, and was wonderful with the full moon during our stay.

The staff was less than helpful with local information, couldnt direct us to anything outside the hotel. It was like they took an oath not to help the guests with anything outside the hotel.

We did not visit the spa.

Our last two days, we had to call for housekeeping to clean our room. NOT cool!

Room was clean and basic. Fairly quiet and in a decent location. For the price, the Wifi was pretty atrocious for the entire week. Poor check-in. Very little info given and they didn't even direct me to where the elevators were to find the room. Very hard sales pitch to get you to sign up for activities. That was disappointing and uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet is an absolutely ridiculous price.

The staff was awesome - very friendly. Room design was poor. Bathroom door only opened halfway. Shower door barely opened. I’m not sure how a heavy person would be able to enter the shower. We had the all-inclusive. When we checked in, they told us that we had two restaurants to choose from. What they neglected to tell us was the dinner menu for both restaurants was identical. Plus, most of the items on the menu were premium items so they included an up-charge. Housekeeping was poor. Many times we had to call to get an amenity that hadn’t been replaced, I.e. coffee, hair conditioner, etc.

Have stayed here many times over the years and have seen the place go down hill. Rooms are worn down, cabinets, doors and tiles broken. Breakfast used to be included in the stay and now it’s not. This was the last time we will be staying here.

Staff support was very lacking. Tesoro has been my preferred Cabo location for quite a few years now for visits both personal and business, especially the last 3-4 years when on tour with a band performing at a venue located WITHIN the Tesoro complex on the Marina.

For the last several years, it was no problem for band members - professional touring musicians - to use a Tesoro hotel room for changing clothes and storing personal effects during the performance for a few hours. Suddenly, the hotel has decided that, even though this in no way impacts the number of guests actually staying in the room or consuming any other amenities, only a registered guest with RFID wristband can use the very space that was booked and paid for, even for a few minutes. Highly unreasonable and frankly unheard of across decades of global travel.

Formerly a favorite property in Cabo, can no longer recommend Tesoro as traveler friendly if you happen to stay there and may have friends/family who may want to stop by - best find alternate accommodations!

Incredibly disappointing after so many great years, not to mention the poor upkeep (broken toilet flush mechanism, shower door that doesn't close and leaks everywhere).

Completely understand the need for a policy preventing large groups/parties/etc. but they have gone way off the deep end of reasonableness with this current setup. I'm sure there are other properties who will appreciate my regular business and referrals.

We stayed for five days and LOVED it! The breakfast had all we would have wanted, the pool area was beautiful with lots of chairs available any time of day. The resort and rooms are very clean and the staff were friendly. We felt very safe walking to the many restaurants and shops in the area. We will definitely be back!

Hotel is an excellent location. Staff was friendly and room was very clean. The one item we didn't like was the noise from the Hammerhead Bar. Several nights it went late into the evening like until midnight. We could hear it in our room and it kept us awake for awhile. Get rid of the noise this is a 4 star hotel.

We love Tesoro! The location is perfect for my husband who is an avid fisherman. The hotel staff are extremely friendly, helpful & are willing to make your stay to your liking if it is allowed. The hotel is listening to their customers as to how to improve their hotel by constantly making changes. The rooms are exactly like they show online. We come to Cabo more than once in a year & always stay at this family friendly hotel. We have stayed at other surrounding hotels but in traveling here for well over 20 years but Tersoro meets our needs. So, give them a try. Remember to tip the staff though. They totally deserve it!

We stayed top floor with Million dollar marina & city views, excellent staff acknowledgements, great pool and easy accessibility to restaurants.
As with most 35 year old lodgings the maintenance is so so, leaking from a roof panel after showering, a worn out older couch, a kitchen layout with burners but no utensils. All in all we would likely stay again.

Staff were great, location and restaurants were good. It is a smaller Resort, 2 restaurants, one pool,3 bars (close at 10pm). But there are many good Restaurants and bars outside of the Restaurants.
Even though we tip all staff, we had one server at the bar and one at the restaurant, that always said \"just leave your tip under the receipt\", one even always wrote the word \"tip\" with a smiley face. Ive been to lots of all inclusives DR, Cuba, Mexico, cruise Ships and this is the first time we have ever been reminded. Other than that the location of the resort was great with the option of breakfast, All inclusive or room only.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The resort is ideally located, with easy walkable access to activities, tours, and key attractions.

During our week-long stay, we experienced a few service-related issues on the second day. However, once these were brought to the attention of the manager on duty, they were addressed promptly, and the level of service for the remainder of our stay was exceptional.

I would highly recommend this resort to families, especially those traveling with children. It offers a relaxing experience while also providing seamless access to explore the city beyond the resort.

One suggestion for improvement would be to offer a greater variety of food options over the course of a week-long stay. While the quality of the food was good, rotating the menu more frequently would help avoid repetition and enhance the overall dining experience, especially for longer stays.

1- The security at the pool were timing and taking pictures of guests towels.
Guests pick up the towels put them on the loungers go have breakfast then relax on the loungers.
There weren’t any guests waiting for loungers.

I was told under 18 years old need to be accompanied by an adult in the water, I can see little ones, but 10-13 yr olds, when a myself a Grandmother is sitting right by,

2nd- The service was very very slow,
Waiting more than 1/2 hour.

3rd- The music was horrible, the play list same same everyday!

4th- last year they had Decorated the Skypool eating area,
this year a few little decorations on the buffet area!

This year we were very disappointed!!

I’m giving this hotel 2 stars based on the fact that the location is misleading with its shuttle services.. When booking the reservation it says that the hotel has 24hr shuttle services. That information is wrong in two ways. The shuttle only runs 2 times a day per the check in clerks, and only by buying a voucher for 22 dollars! Once we asked 6 airport employees, we finally got ahold of the hotel(their number doesn’t work), they told us we couldn’t buy the voucher anymore. Very very inconvenient having to take an Uber for 79 dollars. Both ways on arrival and departure from the hotel.
Other than that the hotel was very nice, location was ideal. Pool was great. Service was great. Structurally the hotel could use some serious upgrades, cracks in the roof, tile had mold in the shower, shower caddy fell mid shower onto my foot. Just small upgrades that could make a big difference in a stay for the inflated prices tourists pay. Just some things to take into consideration before committing to stay here. Definitely will not be booking here again..

We did not have breakfast so it is unfair to rate it. Great view of the marina, nice pool area ( we did not use just visited on our delayed flight stay). We will say that this will be the last time we stay at this hotel. The facility and staff we fine, however, the room was so loud that it felt like we were in the middle of the hallway listening to the music, constant police sirens, and partying/ yelling until after 2am. I had to get up and see why it was so loud. I did notice that there was a little window in the bathroom that only closed from the exterior hallway, I went out in the hall at 2am to try to close it. It helped with the noise but did not alleviate it. I put a pillow over my ears from that point. We had to rise early to catch a plane and only caught a few minutes of sleep off and on, We were in our room at 9pm and could not sleep just got winks from 3am-6am. If you like to party until 2am or 3am then this resort is for you. It was not for us.

Only a select few rooms have marina views. I paid for such a view but was given a room that overlooked the town. Then it rained and the bathroom ceiling leaked making it unusable.
Room changed middle of the night and the new room had a clogged sink.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
The decor, furniture and general look and feel is dated. For example in both rooms a couple of cabinet doors wanted to stay open and one of the drawers didn’t want to close.

In the past, with all inclusive, you'd have beer in the fridge and two, one liter bottles of water in the room restocked each day. Not any more. The two restaurants food is just so so and you can't leave tips on your signed bill. The hotel seems more run down and not well kept as in the past. I won't be staying there again.

CONS:
The Room- I booked the Superior Suite, aka Master Suite. It was much smaller and different from pics on Tesoro's website and 360 degree images. After checking in I inquired with front desk and was told that the website pics are a SHOWROOM SUITE (not the same as what you actually get). I was then told I would need to speak to a manager to discuss discrepancy, but when he arrived for his shift he stayed in the back office and chose to communicate through front desk staff instead of speaking to me. There were dead roaches and droppings in kitchenette and floor was dusty with many long hairs. Something people should know is the room is on the top floor and there are 2 flights of steep stairs you need to climb to get to the room, I would not have booked if I knew that. I wanted to cancel my 9-night reservation, but I then learned Expedia bundle packages don't allow alterations. Buyer beware of Expedia package bundle restrictions.

PROS:The breakfast buffet, view, pool/hot tub, and location were excellent. Room was also quiet and there was no construction unlike other properties that had major construction with jackhammering.
