My friend and I have stayed a couple times at Pueblo Bonito and every time is wonderful! This was our first time traveling without our family members and we had such a wonderful time getting to know the staff and guests! Made so many friends and memories to last a lifetime!!! We are always so excited to come back and will be booking another stay very soon! Room was spacious and beautiful ocean view! Food was delicious and The After was our go-to “night out” spot! We will have to check out the spa next trip! Highly recommend staying at Sunset Beach! Very quiet, family friendly, great mix of ages, and amazing cocktails!

We love this resort, have been 6 times in last 7 years. Always very friendly and courteous staff - although they regularly hit you up for the “ownership” presentation - would be nice if there was a color of band that meant “we are not interested”. Every room we have stayed in has an ocean view, which is amazing. Can’t wait to come back this summer with our kids.

We stayed at Pueblo Bonito Sunset for five nights to celebrate our 10th anniversary, and it was our first time visiting Cabo. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

The views from the rooms are breathtaking—we were even able to see whales from our balcony, which made the experience extra special. The food options throughout the resort are excellent, especially at The Market, where there is a great variety of choices. The gelato was amazing, and the coffee shop makes a fantastic flat white.

There were a few minor issues during our stay. Our VIP welcome package (cheese and chocolate tray, wine, and champagne) was delayed. We had to call the front desk several times to follow up, and unfortunately it didn’t arrive until the last day of our stay, so we didn’t really get a chance to enjoy it.

That said, several staff members made our visit memorable. Alberto and Sandy at the front desk were very helpful, and Cicilia at the spa gave a fantastic massage—definitely visit the spa if you can. It’s a bit pricey but very relaxing and worth it.

The gym could use some upgrades to the equipment, and the golf carts sometimes took a while to arrive when we called from our room—having a few more carts available would help. Despite the hills around the property, it’s still fairly easy to get around.

Overall, the resort has a great location and good food, and we truly enjoyed our visit. One small downside was the time-share representatives approaching us frequently, especially during breakfast.

Great view. Very friendly staff. Very big location everything is very spread out you have to take a shuttle most the time but they are very quick to come pick you up and get you to your location and very friendly. Luis one of the golf cart drivers was very friendly and remembered name and room number pretty quick didnt even need to tell him your room if knew where to take you. you can walk the paths also , but if you are not a good walker the hills can be steep uphill and downhill. nice location and very good staff .

The room was beautiful mattress needed to be replaced had lumps and was not comfortable. Staff was amazing and friendly. Did not like the sales people at check in and baggage handling area. Property was beautiful and well kept! Sky pool closed the whole weekend with multiple weddings happening the pools were all overly crowded! The all inclusive was great… only complaint was the property is very big and room service is very slow causing all food to be cold when delivered and it will take over and hour to get delivered at certain times. Restaurant were all clean and food quality isn’t the best but definitely worth your money! I would recommend this property if you are looking to relax and get good service

Restaurants were good. La Nao, Tazuna, and The Bistro were standouts. Market was ok. Pizza place and Greens spot were sub par. Cake and gelato places were standouts.

Amazing staff everywhere. Super helpful and courteous.

Main pool and Skypool were highlights. Fun Lab was great but only half the games worked. That’s place needs some love for the amount of attention it sees.

Unfortunately, both my friend and I developed severe stomach issues shortly after eating at the resort’s restaurants/buffet, which we believe was caused by contaminated food. We were sick for several days, which significantly impacted our trip. In addition, there was no hot water available for showers for much of our stay (only cold water) which was especially uncomfortable while unwell. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and we will not be returning to Pueblo Bonito Sunset.

Overall decent stay. The room is massive but a bit dated. The property is huge and requires golf cart shuttle pretty much every. Very quiet, nice place for relaxation. Food was tasty but service was consistently slow. Older crowd there, do not expect very much partying, friend making or nightly shows, games or entertainment.

All went well. Loved the landscape and very clean throughout the property. Very peaceful and great selection of restaurants and pools all on one property. We visited Rose and Blanca, they were nice but not as relaxed as we enjoy less confusion. Transportation to and from airport was comfortable and timely. Great staff.
When we come back we will enjoy Sunset once again.

Overall, we had a nice stay. We had a few little snags but the property is nice.

Our room did flood due to a burst pipe in the hallway, but we were put into a new room quickly. There are some areas that needed a little cleaning, like the elevators. At brunch one morning my foot hit something that turned out to be a large bowl of old food. Service can be slow at times in the restaurants and for shuttle service. It can feel a bit salesy, because they do sell timeshares. These weren’t dealbreakers for us.

Pros were the views, the whales in the water right outside the property, the room size. The food was pretty good. La Frida was excellent.

We would like to come back one day.

Under no circumstances would my family and friends visit this property. The Staff was absolutely lovely. However, every other aspect was terrible. We were there for a week and the same trash was on the stairs leading to our room the entire time. There were NEVER sufficient towels at either of the pools. We registered through the hotel for an off-site water activity but were told we could NOT take towels from the property. Our first night there, we waited over an hour (at 8:30 at night) to be seated at one of the walk in restaurants ONLY because there were only two servers for the entire restaurant. One of our friends because SEVERLY ill after drinking water from the water station in the gym. We know it happened there because it's the only place she ate or drank from that someone from our group did not. The resort then charged her an obscene amount of money to see the on-site doctor and to have OTC medications delivered to her at the property. When she did not get well and returned to the doctor the next day, they tried to charge her again. When she and her spouse decided to leave the property two days \"early\" to return to the US due to her illness, they refused to refund their costs related to those two days. No matter what you hear DO NOT GO HERE. Here is a tip for free, you can book one of their \"high-end/exculsive\" properties on AirBnB for LESS than you think. So, do not go to the \"property tour\" eg sales picture to buy into their version of a timeshare.

The staff made sure to be very patient and personable in interactions. The resort is very clean over all from the pools to the streets and walkways to the rooms and the beds very pleased with my visit will come back for years to come. I am thankful to go to an establishment like this that is very large in size and still transportation and walking is very easy and direction friendly. The staff answers any questions and is very clear and helpful never leaving you to second guess anything god bless to these woman and men working here they make every penny worth it daily.

Our hallway had water dripping from the ceiling all week with a cone to block it off. Or e balcony had water dripping down all week. We reserved a day bed at the sky pool and were told we couldn’t use it until after 11am. When we showed up at 11:30 we were told they gave it away since we weren’t there by 11am. Poor communication when reserving and even worse service after the fact. Very little effort to understand and accommodate, even after another couple expressed the same issue. I’ve always enjoyed this property but the combination of suspect service and an aging property no longer feel worth the cost/value.

We are a family of four and this was our first time in Cabo. Cabo is beautiful! Pueblo Bonita Sunset is beautiful. The room had an amazing ocean front view. The room was very spacious and clean. All staff were very friendly! The property is sprawling; be prepared to walk (I like walking). If you do not want to walk you can call a shuttle to take you anywhere on the resort. Only regret is that we did not realize the beach is not swimmable.

The property is located in a very scenic area with beautiful views, and the balcony view was especially lovely. However, the rooms were poorly lit in the evenings, making it difficult to find things, and there were very limited electrical outlets for charging devices.

Several members of our group experienced ongoing hot water issues during the stay and were directed to use the spa facilities for showers, which was inconvenient. The staff overall did not come across as very friendly and rarely appeared welcoming or enthusiastic.

Although we booked an all-inclusive package, we were not informed that not all guests were on the same plan. This resulted in long queues where wristbands had to be scanned before ordering food, followed by additional waiting time for service.

We had an especially disappointing experience at the Zao Shen restaurant, where we waited over three hours. We also paid for the New Year’s Eve party, but the lobster rolls ran out within the first hour. Despite having four tables in our group, none of us were served lobster and were simply told it was no longer available. Similar issues occurred at other venues, where food items were either unavailable or finished very early.

Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations, and we would not recommend this property.

The resort was fine the airport logistics and congestion was atrocious . Waited 4 hours in the most crowded airport we have ever been in for our flight home with no information provided about our flight delay by the airport . We checked out of the resort at 11am and arrived home at 2 am . Spoiled the vacation and we won't be returning to Cabo again .

This was my second time staying at the property. The staff is amazing at customer service and truly helps make your stay comfortable. However, the in-room amenities were inconsistent. We booked three rooms, and none of them had enough towels for all guests; one room was missing a “Do Not Disturb” sign, and another did not have a blow dryer. I believe it’s the little things like this that make all the difference.

Overall, the property offers beautiful views and plenty of pools to enjoy during your stay. The only negative experience was with the sales team at check-in, who were very persistent about trying to get us to attend a presentation on their vacation homes. One sales representative even told me that I had been scammed when booking an excursion outside of the property and claimed that if I attended their presentation, they would refund what I paid and provide another excursion for free. This was not true, and I did not want to waste my time sitting through a presentation. The interaction left a bad taste and negatively impacted my overall impression of the property.

We waited 3 hours to get sheets/blankets for the pull out couch, until almost 2:00 am…we were told we could not be served at the 24 hour Bistro because they were too busy, even though half of the tables were empty. Our original room was given away. This resort oversold their property and then they were not at all prepared to take care of all of the visitors. It was upsetting.

Our stay was very disappointing overall. The property is so spread out that you can’t easily walk from one place to another, and you’re forced to rely on golf carts, which were constantly backed up with long lines and long waits. The hotel was extremely crowded, making everything feel hectic rather than relaxing. Room service was very poor—we had to call multiple times just to get a simple request handled. To make matters worse, our building had no hot water for two days, and instead of fixing the issue promptly, we were eventually moved to another room, which was a major inconvenience. This experience fell far below expectations and made our stay unnecessarily stressful.

This resort has promise but was very disappointing. Not a 4.5 or 5* resort. We had issues with our assigned rooms - dark, dirty, no towels, no soap, smelled damp /moldy. Sand was found in the bed. We complained and we were moved to a suite which was much much better but still not 4*. Beds are hard and pillows uncomfortable.
Location is beautiful, but resort is spread out and you need to take the cart service everywhere. Not convenient for families with children or elderly. Pools are pleasant but food service is slow and they run out of towels quickly. Food is average - buffet and pool food is fair but not a great selection and if you have a food allergy you will need to check everything. Japanese restaurant was however excellent and the best meal we had there.
This resort is definitely dated. There are better options out there - have stayed at the RIU and Barcelo and they were better.
The staff here are however excellent - happy, friendly, kind and helpful. They made the vacation a very pleasant stay despite the quality of the resort.

Our stay at Pueblo Bonito was extremely disappointing from the moment we checked in. We were harassed repeatedly at check-in and throughout our stay to book excursions and spa treatments. It felt aggressive and uncomfortable, not relaxing or welcoming at all.

The room was absolutely unacceptable. It smelled strongly like sewage, was visibly dirty, and had bugs smeared all over the walls. There were black, curly hairs all over the room, including on surfaces that clearly had not been cleaned properly. To make matters worse, we had to call five separate times for extra pillows, and they didn’t arrive until two days later.

The pools were completely overcrowded every single day, making it nearly impossible to enjoy them. Getting a drink was a challenge due to the crowds, and when we finally did, the drinks were so bad they were essentially inedible.

Overall, this was one of the worst resort experiences we’ve ever had. Poor cleanliness, constant sales pressure, overcrowding, and terrible food and drinks made this trip anything but enjoyable. We would absolutely not recommend Pueblo Bonito to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

We have been going to PB for the last 8 years and have loved it every time. This trip was pretty disappointing. Upon arrival and check in we were put in bldg 20 and at that time there was no hot water. The hotel knew of the problem and made no mention upon checking in. I found this disturbing, particularly since we are VIP status and in general it was discourteous. It was especially bad because we didn’t know until coming back from the gym and needed a hot shower. We were told it was to be fixed that night and next am it wasn’t. We were relocated to building 18 which was nice until the hot water went out there on our last day and right after we returned from the spa and needed to wash the oil and lotion off.

The service levels have always been amazing at PB locations. This time those who were working f were terrific but it was clear that there has been a significant reduction in staff and given the hotel was pretty full, the service was not as it has been. Tables in restaurants were filled with dirty plates in the bistro and carts of dirty plates and serviceware sat next to the tables where they were seating people. It was not appetizing to say the least.

I’m not a complainer and usually don’t say anything. On more than a few occasions I overheard other guests commenting on the same things re service levels. This stay bothered me so much and was disappointing for our family. I think it’s likely it is our last stay at any Pueblo Bonito properties.

My family and I had a very disappointing experience at this resort over the Christmas holidays.

Positives: The rooms were large, clean, and had great views. Food was good.

Negatives: Unfortunately, everything else fell short. There was no hot water for more than two days, check-in took over an hour, and there were excessive lines (30+ minutes) for nearly everything—from pool lounge chairs to quick-service restaurants. Overall, the resort felt poorly managed, and it seemed like guest experience was not a priority.

We will not be returning and I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

We booked 5 days stay at this resort and left after second day. It’s dirty, no HOT water in rooms, I got bed bugs bites and horrible allergies all over my body. Had to see doctor and buy all medicine, hotel didn’t care. Food was very bad, dirty kids club with one tiny room. Our experience at this place and travelwith kids was terrible. And trying to find another hotel on Christmas Day was insane. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Not even enough words to describe how horrible it was from the beginning until we escaped this place. You can’t even walk in properly you have to wait one hour for little car to take you to the pool and one hour back, seems that nobody care.

This experience was thoroughly disappointing to the point I could not wait to leave. I wish I had known the following prior to booking an expensive stay here.
First, the all inclusive is not so all inclusive as there are many extra charges for menu items, experiences, etc. The food that is included as part of the package was genuinely so bad I was shocked and restaurants were often closed at hours they should be open or out of menu items.
Also please note that you cannot leave the resort without paying extra fees (to get to the main entrance and call an uber yourself).
Furthermore, we had no hot water on first night and had to call the service line and front desk multiple times before they informed us that three buildings did not have any hot water that night. It took multiple requests before they agreed to move us to a new room.
Our new room was unfortunately unclean (there was pube hair, a used razor top, and tiny sand bugs that infested my luggage and were all over the side of the hotel wall). The service was unfortunately not “beyond hospitality”. The lobby is filled with employees that continually barraged us to attend to timeshare presentations. All in all, if you do not mind the quality of food and amenities and prioritize drinking, this may be the resort for you. However, if you are seeking a relaxing getaway with good service and amenities, I genuinely recommend looking elsewhere.

No hot water in the room in building 21 for 5 days. Some of the staff at the Manila Bar were not very courteous. Hallways in the building where the suite was , were not clean. Not enough vegetarian options in restaurants. At the Market in the Mexican joint the lady would not oblige to send the Fajitas without the chicken on the side, that was crazy.

Positives were that the property is huge and pretty awesome. Sky pool and beach very beautiful. Some restaurants like Zhao Shen were helpful and obliged to make veg food replacing meat with tofu. Food and drinks at Manila bar was good. House keeping staff were and room service was good.

Overall I gave three stars because a 5 star resort can't not have hot water for 5 days straight without fixing the problem and some folks at certain bars/restaurants actual tried to boss around telling me they can't serve me while they were serving other people at the same time. Things need to get fixed and fast and folks need to learn to be impartial and provide 5 star service.

My stay at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach was excellent from the moment we checked in until our departure. I came here with my family, and the place we stayed at was clean, spacious, and had a beautiful view. There was so many different types of cuisine, with Tazuna being my favorite with the best service. The Skypool is a nice pool with a nice view. The staff was friendly and nice to my family despite them not speaking Spanish or English well. I definitely recommend.
