Bathrooms smell like mildew ventalation doesnt work in most of rooms. So if you shower it makes mildew smell worse. Mattresses are hard as rock and very stained up. Room 701 matress looks blood stained. Hotel right next to train tracks and city bus depot. Shopping mall 5 min walk away.

Brian was very helpful and immediately assisted us when needed. The property was clean, very close to subway leading to city in one direction and Disney in the other. There is a mall around the corner that has fast food open late. 1st time staying at a Mercure hotel and will consider staying with them in the future.

The receptionist on our first night was extremely helpful, welcoming and professional. The only downside was the fact they the restaurant was closed for the weekend. Other than that we had a great stay and would highly recommend staying here to anyone with a family or on business. The water dispenser was a real bonus

The hotel is well positioned close to the Rer A and E train line, which meant a direct 30 minute journey to Disney and in the opposite direction a 20 minute direct train line to central Paris. Nearby shops, restaurants just metres away all made staying there worthwhile. Very helpful staff and clean rooms. Filtered water machine in main corridor big bonus. My only bitter sweet point was that check in is really late, 3pm ! And as I had young children I opted to access room early at 11.30am at a cost of 50 Euros……. Stung a bit , especially as the hotel was barely occupied, and of course all rooms were ready. I did email them a week earlier seeking an early check in but never got a reply.

This was the best place to stay for our trip to Paris. 1st amazing thing about this place it’s right in the middle in zone 2 meaning 30 minutes to the heart of Paris and 30 minutes to Disneyland Paris. It was perfect for us as we were just landing to see Paris for 3 days and then 3 days in Disneyland Paris. The rooms are so clean and nice with a water dispenser near the elevator. We also liked the garden area of the hotel it was beautiful. The mall is near by with a lot of fast food options but we went to the market to get some food to eat at the effile tower. This hotel was so close to the metro exit less than 2 min. The staff so friendly and speak English. I will come back to this hotel again it was that amazing!!!!

The hotel and our room were very clean and nice. Our brekfast server Vladimir ( if I corectly remember his name) was great and the breakfast we great. Especialy the cheese.
Metro is just around the corner and a small mall is 5min walk away.

Asked reception they said they will try and find one. We went back down 2 hours later to be told they cant find one. This hotel is across the street from RER E and A to disney. So easy to get to from Eurostar, perfect for people who are less mobile to easily get around.
Hotel was plesant inside with a bar and restaurant, there is also a bakery 1min away and a Mall 2 mins away with a large supermarket, and a few restaurants.
I only stayed 1 night but everything was perfect for my stay.

Good for my business trip

2 night business trip. Room was comfortable and large but not that clean. I found several items on the floor of the room, including a piece of glass that I got stuck in my finger! Not sure the last time it was vacuumed. Problem with hair in the bed and bathroom too which I hate. The staff didn’t really explain much on arrival so I was left to figure it out on my own. Apparently I had breakfast included in my room rate but this wasn’t explained until I saw it on my invoice at checkout. This was a shame as I would have eaten in the hotel! Otherwise a pleasant stay and would stay again. Convenient for the railway station but not a lovely area at all.

It was a very nice hotel. Very nice room. The staff were wonderful. The only drawbacks were the slight odor of old tobacco smoke in the room and the local area. It is right by the train station and bus depot, so there was a lot of activity in the area....some of it was a bit shady.

The hotel itself was very comfortable, modern, clean and the staff were great. But because it's a business hotel the restaurant closes at noon Friday until noon Monday. Room services is available at no extra charge but not an extensive menu. Can eat in bar but again not extensive menu. As a senior I could have had a free breakfast every morning but was not told until day before I left. Distance is a big factor from Paris unless young and used to the metro system. Took me a while to get used to it. If I went again I would spend extra money and stay in city centre. I thought bus depot behind hotel would get me to Paris but only areas around so not so good. It was a very bad choice. No air conditioner. Room was very hot & if you open window it's very noisy. The weather was hot but they refused to open air conditioner or give a fan. The service was very bad. No help or support from management. I ask them if they can open air conditioner or give me a fan but they refused they only told me you can only open window. I hope no one be in that bad condition I was in.

I had booked and paid for the room some 5 months before but when I got there I was informed they had no rooms available for me. They offered another hotel of lower quality, or for me to go by cab to another hotel for one night. I had to insist to talk to the manager on call and only after much frustration, I was given an upgraded, very nice room. This happened even though I had specifically asked earlier if they had absolutely no available rooms in the hotel and was told there were NONE. I understand hotels overbook sometimes, but I think they should have had a plan B and offer me the upgraded room immediately. The chance of me not showing up for a paid room was really very small and they should have been prepared for my arrival.

Overall our stay at Mercure was great. The location next to the RER and the bus station made it very easy to get around. However, the fact that there is no numerical street address made it difficult for the taxi drivers to find the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are much bigger than a lot of European hotels. There were really only two negatives to our experience. One, the excellent coffee served at breakfast was not available at other times of the day. And two, the record-keeping for the times we ate breakfast at the hotel was not accurate, which made checkout a little more difficult than it had to be. One thing we would have done differently would have been to take advantage of including breakfast in our travel package - it was a great deal.

Perfectly located adjacent to the Metro/RER station, the location was ideal for me travelling on my own for the first time.
The room was spotless, quiet and very comfortable. Although I didn't use it, there was room service and a restaurant/bar in the hotel.
There was a supermarket and food outlets within a 5 minute walk.
Good value for money - I have already made another booking!

Good things:
1. Rooms are clean and okay.
2. RER (Val de Fontenay) is around the corner.
3. Low price hotel for Paris and includes breakfast and internet.

Mercure Fontenay - would never stay again

The first room assigned was filthy. There were stains on the carpet throughout the room. The walls by the air vent were filthy from dirty ducts. The curtains were filthy and smelled. The pillows also smelled damp and unclean. Last but not least the paint was coming off the bathroom walls and there were water leaks on the floor.

The hotel staff moved us to another room on the same floor (7th) which was not much better. Apparently, these are the rooms given to expedia/hotels.com reservations. Finally after complaining again, we were moved to the 6th floor which had new carpets and interior.

The best part of the hotel was the restaurant. The food was delicious.

Nice Suburban Niche

The hotel is located in a Parisian suburb, so you need to take the RER (commuter) line, but there are many trains, you're right outside Paris, and the train station is a stone's throw from the hotel. It's only 20 minutes to the great sights in central Paris. The hotel is modern and clean. I appreciated the ample desk space and the luxurious bathroom. Great shopping mall right behind the motel with a good choice of cheap restaurants and some great supermarkets/department stores. Although the hotel is modern, its maintenance seems iffy; there was chipped paint and ripped wallpaper in my room. The suburban town itself is a dreary Le Courbusier knockoff. All in all, though, this was a good bargain for the price.

I love the hotel, it was clean and new. This location is quite distant from the heart of Paris, so expect to use trains and other sources of transportation. Only issue I had was it took me a while to find it. Use the RER and get off at what I think is called Val de Fortenay station. Hotel is right out the entrance.

Great Hotel Next to the RER

Hotel's location is in a very urbanized suburb of Paris but is conveniently a two minute walk to the RER. It has a secure entrance to keep out uninvited visitors. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds and pleasant/modern decor. Minimal noise penetrated the room even though room was located near the elevators. A very good value for money with public transport to Paris and EuroDisney. Very good English spoken at reception.

Comment accepter une chambre pas chauffée alors qu’il fait -2°C dehors

C'est franc inacceptable et surtout quand on vous assure que le technicien va passer
..
On obtient finalement un chauffage d'appoint avec un ventilateur qui vous empêche de dormir.. donc soit on a froid et on ne dort pas soit il y a du bruit et on ne dort toujours pas!!!

J’ai donc été invité à aller au Novotel à côté.
Super dommage pour ce désagrément surtout de trimballer mes affaires entre novotel et mercure car pour les nuits suivante c’était bon.
Mercure a pris en charge la différence de tarif pour la nuit au Novotel.

Gostamos da localização e facilidade de acesso a RER que permite chegar ao pontos turísticos e as conexões com o metrô. Atendimento impecável como sempre, em especial a Maria, uma brasileira que nos recepciona com muito carinho e atenção.
Um ponto que acho desconfortável é a climatização, sempre está muito quente nos quartos e não conseguimos regular para temperatura que desejamos.

Estadia incrível. Atenção e atendimento impecáveis da recepção e em especial da equipe do restaurante Cristine e Maria que não mediram esforços para nos atender no check out disponibilizando o café da manhã antecipado e no auxílio para agendamento do Taxi de retorno. Was mir gefallen hat ist das es keine 2minuten von Bahnhof Val de Fontenay sind. Man hat immer eine Verbindung das ist 10/10.

Personal 2/10 keine gute laune geben, knappe antworten. (ausser die junge blond oder braun haarige dame sehr freundlich) Haben für früheren Check in Angefragt, wurde bestätigt im Hotel angekommen…hiess es plötzlich um XY ist das Zimmer bereit. Das ist kein Problem kammen einige Stunden später wieder= Zimmer immer noch nicht fertig. 15min später immer noch nicht…insgesamt weitere 30min gewartet um ein zu checken. Katastrophe!!!

Dusche war komisch bzw der Duschboden.

Das Hotel entspricht den Bilder. Gebe eine 5/10 fürs Hotel -1 Punkt da am zweiten Tag gingen zwei Steckdosen nicht mehr:/

Business Hotel in schlechter Umgebung

Langweiliges Business Hotel in einer eher schlechten Gegend. Kein Parkplatz in der Nähe, kein vernünftiges Restaurant in der Nähe. Man muss mit der U Bahn eine Station weiter fahren um zu essen.

Séjour de 8 nuits.

Acceuil parfait et rapide... confort et propreté nickel... petit déjeuner complet et varié...personnel a l écoute surtout d une gentillesse génial...séjour parfait...n hésiter Pas a venir au Mercure val de Fontenay...

Chambre spacieuse avec touche d’attention de bienvenue
Cependant le lit doit être grand et dormir sur une fermeture éclair cela frotte et ça pique !

Problème parking.

Hôtel impeccable. Problème Énorme pour le stationnement. Pas de parking, et secteur non sécurisé. Dommage. Parking Auchan à côté, mais fermé la nuit. Donc pas d'entrée ni de sortie en dehors des heures d'ouvertures. Bloqué.

Nous avons attendu plus de 15 minutes au milieu de la nuit, devant la porte avant que le réceptionniste nous ouvre. Malgré nos appels.
