We were supposed to stay at this hotel for 5 nights (June 25–30) but had to leave immediately after checking in because the room was completely uninhabitable.

Upon entering the room, we found cockroaches, the cleanliness was extremely poor, and the overall condition of the room was nowhere near what was shown online. The neighborhood was also shockingly unsafe — it felt threatening even during the day, and definitely not a place where travelers should feel comfortable staying.

We immediately contacted the hotel through email to report the issue, but received no reply whatsoever. Then we reached out to Expedia, who contacted the hotel on our behalf — only to be told the hotel refuses to offer a refund, despite the health and safety issues we encountered.

This is completely unacceptable. We paid for 5 nights and received zero value, as the conditions made it impossible to stay even one night. The hotel did not offer to move us to another room or show any concern about the cockroach problem or the unsafe environment.

We travel often and have never had to walk out of a hotel before — this was a first, and we’re shocked this property is even listed on Expedia or any reputable platform.

The attendants were lovely, however there are a few changes that should be corrected on the Expedia app. This hotel does not have a pool. This made my trip difficult as I booked the hotel for the quiet and safe location with the expectation of being able to give my child breaks from the August heat in the pool. The hotel is close to the zoo which is lovely for families, but be aware that the windows do not lock well and have no protectors or screens so would not be safe for younger children. The cleaners do an excellent job but the hotel is in need of updates.

Only issue was Expedia stated there was in indoor/outdoor pool. I asked the staff about this and they advised there is definitely no pool at this hotel. I hope that Expedia has changed the description now :)

This is a good place if you speak french and are looking to have a basic room while staying outside of the popular Paris attraction areas. The night shift/late afternoon staff was very friendly and the maid service was very good. My advice for any english speaking travelers is to avoid this hotel and to stay in the city center where the main attractions are and english as a second language is spoken more. Almost all guests were french/french speaking so i assume not alot of English-speaking travelers stay here often. The night/afternoon shift gentleman (possible manager) speaks enough english that you will understand him well, but the morning staff's english is not there and they were not very welcoming/friendly as the afternoon/night shifts! We had a very stressful and disastrous checkout due to the lack of English between all 3 people at the front desk, unfriendliness/lack of care, and communication/notes on our room between the different shifts.

Check-in was my only good impression about hotel Campanille. Everything else was disappointing; my room was not cleaned properly and there were spill stains in several places, which could have easily been cleaned by the housekeepers. The carpet was full of burnt or some kin of spots. Breakfast stops being served at 10? 9 am according to signs? And I also wasn’t able to have dinner. This hotel seems to cater to groups.

The check in was fine as we were early but allowed into our room which was quite small although bed was ok size and comfortable. I suppose the price reflected this ! No details or information file to tell us about hotel/ meal times or surrounding areas etc hence we missed breakfast the next morning and there were no signs anywhere by the Restuarnt entrance indicating times. When we asked the receptionist she was totally indifferent and not helpful I eventually found the times on the back of our room door in very tiny print !!! Breakfast was poor quality and we had to keep asking for items that had run out and our buffet dinner on last evening was appalling DONT EAT THERE !! Won’t stay again

I liked that my room was spacious and the bed was comfy.
The heater was too small and doesn't warm the room enough. There shower is really nice but the toilet seat is too close to the wall. So its awkward to sit on. The room only gets cleaned once in the mornings so if you miss that time and say your sleeping in late it won't be cleaned until tomorrow. No fridge. No room service ? (Not specified). Staff are really kind and helpful. Food tastes nice especially the bakery. No Halal food. I don't think food gets brought up to you and didn't try to ask about it. All in all was a very good stay and felt right for the price :)

Simple hotel right next to the river. the breakfast was very good and everyone was very helpful and friendly. The Hotel was exactly what I expected, no frills but with a good shower and a perfect placement. The restaurant next door was great and you can jog right along the river if that is your thing.

We arrived just as the restaurant downstairs was closing and apparently there are no exceptions. The guy at Reception seemed to think it was a big pain to have to tell us where there were some other places to eat, and neglected to give important info such as the fact that the nearest one did not take anything but cash. He also was making fun of some other other foreigners in the lobby meanwhile, not realizing that we could understand French. A person who is so unfriendly and unkind to guests should not be the front desk face at a hotel. Shame on the hotel for making our first encounter such a negative one--I would not recommend this place nor go back.

Hotel Campanile Nogent is located on the Marne River so the location is gorgeous and offers plenty of opportunity to walk and enjoy the local scenery. It is on the outskirts of Nogent, a 10 minute walk from the RER (area is serviced by train, not metro) and town center, and close to other restaurants and shops. The staff is friendly and professional, my room was clean but it was small. Once I had my suitcase in the room there was no spare space. Wifi was free and very fast, something I appreciated, and the hotel was very quiet and is in a quiet area.
I did try the restaurant for breakfast, which was not that substantial, and dinner, which was good. There is no available parking other than on the street. Overall it would be a great hotel for a quiet stay and I would stay there again.

Clean Hotel, Uncomfortable Beds

Our stay at Campanile was good and satisfactory for the one night we needed it for. When we arrived at the hotel for check-in, the front desk receptionist was not very pleasant and informed us that they could not check us in for another 2 hours because the hotel was full, even though we had a reservation. We had no problem waiting, but it was in the way she addressed us that we did not appreciate. Another gentleman at the hotel was kind enough to let us know they would accommodate as soon as possible and they got us a room within an hour. The rooms are clean and the restaurant is great, but the rooms are very small and the beds are hard (not very comfortable)! The location is quite far from the core of Paris but we only stayed one night so it wasn't a big deal for us. Would not stay here again and would prefer a closer hotel to the core of Paris for the price paid. Although, we needed a room last minute so it did the job.

A wonderful suprise in lovely Nogent-sur-Marne

This is one of the best Campaniles in the region. It is a modern hotel, great wi-fi (essential for business), wonderful view over the Marne river, local guinguette, great walk/jogging along the Marne for kilometers on end, local swimming pool and other sport facilities, restaurant on the water, Le Matelot, just great. The hotel has its own restaurant but I did not try it.

It is a 10-minute uphill walk to the RER station and the centre of Nogent-sur-Marne (a very nice little town), and once in the train (frequent), 10-minutes from the centre of Paris.

Large bathroom, a major plus, and an even major plus is a good-size modern walk-in shower.

You can park for free in the surrounding streets, or you can pay €10 per day for secluded internal secure parking.

The staff are great.

hotel was great! cheap and very convenient. right next to the bus station to the metro- no taxi needed. very clean and VERY comfortable. only issue was there was no plug for our bathtub, and the toilet stopped working but we were immediately offered another room. would definitely stay here again!

We had two rooms and stayed three nights. No fridge, no hair dryer, no hand towels or slippers provided. There's no control for air conditioning and every time you will need to contact receptionist to put it on! The sheets were not changed during our stay, although house keepers tried best to do tiding. Overall the area is good, but there are above factors to consider.

We had a room that overlooked the river Marne, situated in a very pleasant place near le Perreux. The Periferie road provided a steady background traffic sound when upstairs in the room, but it didn't worry me.
The location was great, providing lovely walks along the river and into the town which I found equally charming. Staff was helpful and friendly and I wouldn't mind staying there again.
I would recommend buying RER tickets at the station to go into Paris, while one can get all the way back to Perreux on Metro tickets.7 Minutes walk from station to hotel.

Receptionists doesn't speak english too well and don't know what \"eiffel tower\" is. I was surprised cause it located in paris for gods sake. Expensive breakfast not included in room reservations. You also have to pay taxes per night for staying approx. 1,1€ per night. Location is terrible. Long walk from metrostation and from paris centre. Small but clean rooms.

We chose this hotel because we thought we would save ourselves from having to find parking in downtown Paris. As it turned out, it took at least an hour (including the walk to the train station) to get to downtown Paris. Having stayed at the Concord Hotel in Paris a few weeks early, we would have been better off staying in a downtown location. Parking at the Concord was around 15 EURO per day. Parking at this hotel was around 8 Euro, so not much saved there. The area around the hotel is very nice. It is located right on the river, with a beautiful marina close by. The neighborhood is safe, and extremely clean. The outside of the hotel and the lobby and eating areas were modern and clean. My issues were after you get in the elevator. The room was very basic, which is not a problem in itself, but I thought that the carpet was quite filthy from the elevator on into the room. It was extremely hot in the room until around 2-3 in the morning. I guess I expected better air conditioning in a hotel of this category. If you plan to stay in this hotel in the Summer months, I suggest bringing a nice fan. The bathroom is extremely outdated with a quarter size bathtub and no shower curtain. The pull out bed for the 3rd guest was a cheap bed that rose to a height of about 10 inches off of the floor, and the mattress provided little comfort. I didn't notice any issues with the main bed, but then again my mind was on the heat. If you have no place to stay in the city itself, then this might not be a bad option, but I would not recommend this hotel to family and friends. I will say that the staff was friendly and helpful. I probably would have recommended this hotel if it weren't for the lack of air and the filthy carpets. This was my 5th visit to Paris, and my least favorite hotel to stay in.

⭐ Séjour très décevant – nombreux dysfonctionnements

J’ai séjourné 4 nuits dans cet hôtel 3 étoiles pour un déplacement professionnel et l’expérience a été très dégradée du début à la fin.

À mon arrivée, l’hôtel était en travaux sur deux étages sans que cela n’ait été clairement mentionné lors de la réservation. Dans l’ascenseur, un artisan intervenant sur le chantier s’est permis des échanges insistants et déplacés alors que je séjournais seule.

La première chambre présentait un problème important : colonne de douche cassée et mitigeur défectueux, rendant la douche soit brûlante soit sans pression. Le changement de chambre a ensuite été géré de manière très désorganisée, avec des informations contradictoires et même une altercation entre membres du personnel devant moi.

Le lendemain matin, au petit-déjeuner, j’ai consommé un jus « detox » manifestement impropre à la consommation, au goût clairement passé. J’ai eu des nausées et des troubles digestifs dans la matinée.

Malgré plusieurs signalements et une réclamation envoyée à la direction ainsi qu’au groupe hôtelier, je n’ai toujours reçu aucune réponse à ce jour, ce qui est particulièrement regrettable et indigne du niveau de service attendu d’un établissement de cette catégorie.

La chambre n’était pas propre poussière et toiles d’araignée plus les araignées avec une odeur pas très satisfaisante. Nous avons réservé une chambre lit double nous arrivons une chambre avec deux lits simple. Heureusement que la le personnel est aimable et souriant

Bon rapport qualité/prix

Séjour agréable, chambre assez grande, bonne literie, grande propreté, café et thé disponible en chambre, réception très aimable.
Seul bémol, parking signalé mais pas trouvé et dommage car c'est galère pour stationner.
