This is a fantastic hotel and exceptional value for money.
As it is with most hotel's in London the lack of parking is an issue. We used the secure parking at the Barbican which was good value at £24 for two days, but is a 10 minute walk. This hotel is located in the city,so pretty quiet at weekends. It has a nice bar and the breakfast was really good. We didn't eat at the hotel, but the menu did look good and the prices were around £20 for a main course.
Overall we had a really enjoyable stay.

The suite was really nice and the staff very friendly. As it is an old building, the windows are a bit small which makes the room darker but it fits the interior design. Overall we had a really nice stay at this hotel for two nights. Currently there is a big construction site opposite the hotel and while the road was closed, it wasn't noisy.

Great decor and room design that made the room very comfortable and stylish. Reception staff were great! Location worked well for my work event.

However, it's let down by a few inconveniences but it did not ruin my overall stay: in-between stay clean did not refill amenities such as tissues.
Way to reach the reception via messaging was not prompt as did not receive reply about my faulty and leaking iron so had to go downstairs to address the issue. The room service and breakfast menu was quite limited.

Would definitely stay here again. Had booked a Superior King room. Didn’t know all of those rooms are accessible rooms and the one we were initially given faced the street and the huge construction across the street. Ellie at the front desk was so helpful and accommodating. She offered us an upgrade (for a price) and when she found out I didn’t like red, she got us a blue room junior suite facing into an enclosed atrium- super quiet. Great room!!! Sheets were high quality. King bed, seemed a bit smaller than the king sizes that I’m used to. Had to open windows to cool down room. The complimentary coffee, water and a few small snacks were nice. I loved the Penhaligon products in the bathroom!!! Wished they were in small travel sizes so I could take them with me. Definitely would rate it a 4.5 star hotel. They offered a glass of champagne while we waited for a room for early checkin.

I booked several rooms, my room seemed to have water pressure issues, I had no hot water running from the taps or shower, I reported it, nothing was done.
A friend shower door fell off its hinges onto her.
They added additional drinks on to the rooms, which they did take off when we said, but did try and charge for one room even though I had already paid!
Not great service, I asked to be contacted when the relevant person came on duty - I’m still waiting!

Style over substance. Beware of the building site.

Our room was aesthetically lovely but the plumbing was problematic - hot water kept switching off, which led to lukewarm showers and a cold hand wash after using the loo - and a combination of noise from the room above due to very poor soundproofing and the building site opposite (despite the hotel assuring me that it would be closed at the weekend) made for a really disappointing stay.

Great hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast. I prefer a fuller pillow but that is the only thing I could find that wasn’t perfect and that is based on my preference. Excellent value, cool decor, great location. We will definitely pick this hotel for our next trip to London.

We had the most incredible few nights at Sun Street. We were celebrating my partners birthday and our anniversary as they upgraded us to a suite and decorated the suite with balloons and gave us champagne on arrival. They were the most welcoming hosts and we will definitely be back next time we’re in London. The property was beautiful, clean and close to great shops and restaurants. Definitely recommend it.

Beautiful aestetic, great location, great staff and really small beds. 1.33 metres wide. Less than 5 feet. Smallest king bed I’ve ever encountered. I’ve lived in Europe and even by those standards, it’s small. An otherwise delightful hotel. They even moved us to a beautiful suite, with the same tiny ( less than 5 feet across) king bed. I so wish the bed was bigger and it would be our go to in London…
