Location perfect for our needs. Lovely communal area but terrible room. Dust covered shelf area yellow pillows and uncomfy bed. Big dip in floor by toilet door. And so noisy and hot. When I mentioned these points when checking out the receptionist laughed

Shower facilities great. Very small room, but if you're not planning on spending much time in it, honestly, it's worth it. Doesn't get any better for one night stays, but I'd happily book a weekend here or longer if I was busy out and about. Staff were supremely pleasant from check in to cleaners to check out. I needed to check in fast and be out the door for an event and I didn't even need to say, smooth as you like, took no longer than 2 minutes.

Some of the rooms with a view do not match what is advertised. The rooms flooring feels very cheap, and they do not change your sheets when they clean the rooms.

We previously stayed here in 2018 and it was great, the wine and cheese hour was fabulous but this round was very disappointing. Staff was a bit sterile this go around and we got put into the basement which was very noisy as we heard the subway and even staff early in the AM. It was easy to catch public transportation from the hotel but overall would suggest picking a different hotel if budget allows.

Perfect location to get around london right outside old street station, plenty food around hotel too! Room was clean, on the small side but ideal for a solo trip but also acceptable for a couple trip providing you dont mind having not much room to walk around. This is based on the room without a window. It had air-conditioning but it wasn't that great/powerful so didnt seem to make much of a difference. Room was quiet but occasionally could hear the underground but wasn't too excessive. Its really ideal if its just somewhere to put your head for the night but not if you were going to be staying in the room for long periods or having to take awhile to get ready to go out.

The room was very noisy with a water system for the air con for the hotel constantly filling. the basement room is also close to the main Old Street underground which can be heard clearly. IMO this should not be a bedroom

I noticed a mistake with my booking dates and contacted them immediately after booking (weeks before my stay) but there was nothing they would do to support. This is worse than the service offered by notoriously low-service airline Ryanair.
The room I'd paid extra for 'with a window' was underground with the window blocked out by a smoking shelter or similar. The air conditioning was very noisy and kept waking me up through the night. The window blind was broken.
I was moved to another room for my second night which was much nicer and in better condition. I've stayed here before but this experience was poor overall.

If you are like me then after a long day of travel you want a clean comfy bed and a hot shower. This is not the place. The shower was warm at best. the shower floor felt mushy? The first and the most important thing i t was the toilet inside the room, everything from the restroom ( smelling, noises etc) comes in the room. A shy person can’t choose that room style or even to visit that toilet. Also the room doesn’t have fridge and wardrobe too ( only some hangers ( modern screw)in the side of the room.

Hotel is in a great location very close to Old Street Station. Loved the complimentary cheese and wine on a Saturday night. Room was tiny which we expected but the bathroom has only a glass partition and even though it looks like frosted glass its completely see through so you can see the other person on the toilet! Most off putting and wouldnt consider staying again purely because i like a little more privacy
