This no frills, budget offering leaves something to be desired. Free breakfast, good location, nice staff, and easy check in. But my shower drain was broken, one of the elevators was out, many of the rooms are windowless, and all are very small. If you’re just looking for a place to sleep, this is definitely fine.

The room was so small we had to walk over the first bed to get to the second bed or the bathroom, and the room door could barely open with our luggage in there. The bathroom only had a swinging door and the bathroom light kept switching off every few minutes. So we had to go out and turn the light on again to continue showering. They also charge you £3 per luggage to hold on to your luggage after checkout.

At the price point, the experience should have been a lot better. You could get a far superior hotel experience in the same neighborhood for not a lot more. Safe to say we won't be staying here again.

TV didn’t work, shower door was broken and hanging on by a thread, room is design over function.

I didn’t complain as I was too tired by the time I tried the TV, and only used the shower in the morning, plus I used express checkout.

Finally, I paid extra for a room with a window, and it was only an opaque glass panel.

We expected the room to be small as it was in the City of London, but it wasn’t quite a capsule hotel. However the inconvenience of only one of us being able to move at a time in the room was more than made up for by the brilliant staff.
Special mention must be made of the excellent Parveen - an exceptional member of the reception staff who made such a difference to our stay. The man is a treasure!

I had a good stay at the hotel in Shoreditch. The place was very clean and looked recently renovated, with modern, high-tech controls throughout the room. The mattress was decent, though not the best I’ve experienced in other hotels, and the bed frame being on wheels made it move even when locked, which meant I couldn’t use the backrest comfortably.
Breakfast was the main downside — I expected at least fried eggs, but only a cold selection was available, including cold boiled eggs. Most options were sweet, which isn’t ideal for diabetics.
Overall, still a good experience for the price paid.

The rooms are small but everything needed a short stay, the room was modern with lighting controls, air conditioning and a small desk/chair area suitable for laptop work. The room was in the basement so very quiet and secure, although being windowless it felt a little more cramped than other rooms, but this was highlighted as part of the reservation process.

We paid around £90 for one night and for the location is good value. The room is very small but looks very sleek and modern. Unfortunately one of the panel buttons had fallen off but managed to I clip back into place. The staff were a mixture - the woman who greeted us was very friendly but the second person who checked us in seemed tired and fed up. Staff in the morning were very friendly however. Outside was very noisy but didn't disrupt our sleep too much. Overall I do recommend it if you want a short stay in a comfortable, clean and efficient room.

We had to input our details on a tablet and one staff member was really impatient - as I was taking too long to read and type in the information they wanted.

The hotel had also run out of milk for tea and coffee.

The walls were also very thin - you could hear everything.

Great location in the buzzy Shoreditch area, close to Liverpool street st tube which was perfect for catching the Stansted express.
Lots of cafes and restaurants within walking distance.
Room itself was great, on the small side which is very standard in London but sparkling clean and comfy beds.
Easy check in at reception. Would definitely stay again.

Comfortable enough, but improvements needed

We enjoyed this hotel the first time we stayed here but this recent day was a little bit disappointing. Staff were not particularly communicative with us and didn’t tell us what time checkout was or how to get onto the Wi-Fi.
The room was also very hot and the Aircon controls didn’t seem to work and we were missing our TV remote.
The hotel also needs to get rid of the policy to charge people to leave their bags there after check out. We have already paid for a hotel stay and on top of that they charged us £6 altogether to leave two of our bags in the baggage hold room for a couple of hours- this is quite unfair and not something that any other hotel we’ve stayed at in London does. Please consider stopping this.

This hotel is very modern and chic, and Shoreditch is a great place to stay in London if you're a tourist looking for a cool neighborhood with a good nightlife. We stayed in the twin room which was absurdly small (even for London), so much so that the bathroom door could not even be opened without hitting one of the beds. But the beds themselves were extremely comfortable, and the lighting and decor in the room were very cool.

Clean but small

The room was a bit small so we kept bumping into things. However the room was clean and useable just a bit pricey for the space.

The only real issue we had was with the AC. It did work well but the controls were terrible. Originally I just wanted to turn it off for the night but it wouldn't. So I tried reducing the fan and the increasing the temperature a bit but couldn't feel a distinct difference from the unit. Thankfully the bed covers were enough. But then in the morning the unit turned off while we were getting breakfast. But I wanted it on to keep the room temp down while in the shower and nothing I did on the control panel had any effect. It is a bit of a nit pick but given we couldn't open the window it was quite irritating.

Pros: Great, convenient location. Clean room.

Cons: I arrived 2 hours early and asked if the hotel could store my 2 suitcases until I could check in - they charge 3 pounds per bag; I've never experienced this unexpected charge before at any hotel. I had to pay again for them to store them when I checked out while I worked at an office for a few hours. As other reviews state, the rooms are very small, which I was somewhat prepared for, but I'd been travelling for over a month and had lots of luggage and there was no where to put a large suitcase in my room - I had to block the room's door with it. There was also no in-room refrigerator to store my meds.

Ultimately I knew it was a stay for convenience clean, safe, good staff just don’t plan on staying in the room much beyond sleeping. Space is minimal

Not worth it.

The hotel was under construction when we were there making it difficult to access the elevator. The construction also was not mentioned in the description and I wouldn’t have chosen this hotel if that was stated clearly. The windowless rooms are DARK and claustrophobic. I asked if there was any chance to change rooms and the guy who helped me interrupted me and just said there was nothing he could do. He didn’t even try or let me finish a sentence.
