We have a great team experience at Orchid House Jungle. The hotel was beautiful and peaceful. The food was amazing and fresh. The staff was the best, they were accommodating to our needs and help facilitate rentals and tours. We felt like family there with the personal approach and attention. We visited the sister hotel and they were great as well. The continental breakfast was perfect and rooms were cleaned everyday. We will be definitely coming back.

The property is absolutely beautiful, and well maintained. The staff, especially Frank the concierge, is very attentive and responded quickly to all requests. I went to Tulum to celebrate my 50th, and it did not disappoint!! Frank and staff decorated and maintained the room daily. I returned from my daily outing to a new surprise daily! My family ordered balloons, wine, and a cake- everything was spectacular. They really paid attention to detail.

Things to know:
-The hotel is not on a beach, but it is near it- short 10 min taxi ride away
-The hotel has beach cabanas but does not provide a way to get there- I suggest they have shuttle service to these cabanas for customers to enjoy, as taxi’s are not cheap
-There are local bike/vespas for rent
-There are great restaurants within walking distance- we had great local food, and Pizza nearby.
-Near activities like snorkeling, and the ruins - but you have to pay for transportation to get there
- They offer complimentary Continental breakfast (fruit, coffee, yogurt parfait, toast, and Jam)- delicious!
-You have a private outdoor soak pool in your room. but be mindful of mosquitoes- they are vicious!

I recommend a stay here, but i recommend you either rent a car, or Vespa to get around, as taxis are costly. Buy the local mosquito repellent!! You’ll need it for outdoor dining, and activities.

I had a quick but comfortable stay. They were kind and comfortable stay. The property is nice, but I’m a bit of disrepair. The pool was disappointing. It’s not really a pool and had no sun beds or actual sunlight over the “pool”.

We loved our weeklong stay here. The rainforest vibe and secluded pools and waterfalls were just the atmosphere we wanted, and the location away from the beach in a quiet neighborhood was as very appealing. We had a room with a garden and soaking tub that gave the place the feel of an expensive boutique hotel for a fraction of the cost. The breakfast included with our room was small but excellent, and we made good use of the bar's happy hour. Superb margaritas!

The room smelled moldy and musty. It was impossible to air out and we had to move hotels. The patio bathtub was dirty/not cleaned. The AC was dripping water on the outlet next to the bed. The staff was rarely available, even at breakfast time.

Amazing stay! The suite exceeded my expectations—huge space, super comfortable beds, and a spotless bathroom. The outdoor jacuzzi was a perfect touch. Housekeeping cleaned every day, and the continental breakfast was delicious. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax but still close to everything, this is the perfect spot.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this little hidden gem of a hotel. The ambience is magical, the food is extraordinary, and the staff is wonderful. They truly did everything to make our stay fantastic.

We stayed in the Orchid Room, which is a simple studio suite that has an amazing charm to it. The structure is almost a polished concrete \"igloo\", with smooth flowing curved lines. This is built directly into and around the trees which form the center open plaza of the hotel. The suite opens onto a private patio deck that overlooks this plaza and the swim-up pool/bar and restaurant below. You can enjoy a drink or meal as beautiful birds light on the trees in the open air.

We tried multiple items on the menu over five days. Every single dish was fantastic. The continental breakfast with yogurt and fresh fruit was fabulous. The Huevos Rancheros, Salmon, and Risotto were all excellent as well.

All this is enough. But the thing most special about Orchid House is the staff. Antonio, Jose, Luis, and especially the manager Frank (Frank deserves a special mention) were superbly hospitable and made our stay everything it could be. Housekeeping was special, to say the least. We were celebrating a birthday and anniversary, and every day we would return from our travels to find the room decorated celebrating the event with creative bath towel designs; swans, rose petals, candles, and congratulatory messages. You're just not gonna get this kind of special service in a chain.

Ill never stay anywhere else again in Tulum. There's a reason this place has just high reviews. The location is perfect, the rooms make it feel like in jungle palace. But what made me write my 3rd review in life is how amazing they are at customer service. There were a few small issues in room. And a loud cat out back. What makes me a loyal guest forever is how they respond. They were so quick and on the, and nothing was too small an issue to them. The interior makes you feel so peaceful. And then I leared you even greet free access to their beach hotel also. Amazing!

I had the best experience staying in this hotel. The staff were all super friendly - the best host was Frank at the front desk. He did absolutely everything possible to make sure we had a great stay. He was always willing to help out with anything I needed or any questions I had about the city. They were so thoughtful to even upgrade our room before we arrived! The restaurant at the property had the best fish tacos!

Beautiful hotel with gorgeous architecture. We loved our stay and especially our room (booked the Orchid room). We also had free access to their Beach-club at the Orchid House Tulum Beach.

Staff was kind and welcoming.

Location is close to everything and is safe. There's free parking on the property and there's someone at night to guard the entrance door. Food and drinks are on you and some area will be reserved.

At night there was some bugs but they were more scared of us then we were of them. Pretty harmless. We are in a jungle so it's also normal.

A/C was our bestfriend. Kept the room cool and nice as it was hot and humid outside.

Downsides :

1. Poor wifi as it comes and goes. We needed to either connect with our own data plan or go outside our room for a better connection. If you do need to work while traveling keep this in mind.

2. A lot of mosquitoes. So prepare yourself and bring some mosquito repellent or be cautious when entering or leaving your room. (Well again, we are in a jungle so it's kinda inevitable)

Complimentary breakfast was tasty and healthy (yogurt with granola, plate of fruit and toast with jam and butter). However, if you are a person that needs protein for breakfast, this might not be for you as you will get hungry or find that it's not enough. I would recommend to pay extra or get around to find a more filling meal if you are on a budget.

Overall, we really loved our stay and our trip in Tulum. Description was the property in exact.

Hidden gem in the jungle. For couples who value privacy, excellent service, GREAT FOOD, and a relaxing vacation...Orchid House is the place to go! We enjoyed our long weekend trip in a beautiful spacious room with privacy and the relaxation we needed. The food is freshly prepared and sooo incredibly good. We love that Tulum is a jungle. Trees, vines and plants embrace this property offering tranquility. They have a sister hotel at the beach and we used it one day with no minimum spend. We rented bikes directly from the front desk for $16 each one day. The food in the restaurant was pretty good. Frank was very friendly and welcoming at the front and Jose, our pool bartender, made great drinks and was so fun to talk to and help us with our Spanish. The hotel is a 3 mile bike ride to the beach. However, we chose it because we spent our time in Aldea Zama. It’s a short walk to a market, 7-11, coffee shops and restaurants.

We chose the garden suite. Unfortunately we were not able to use the separate outdoor tub but would havebif we had time. We are dinner at the \"Nest\". It is located at the rooftop of the hotel. Great food and service. The place was amazing. You felt like you were in the jungle but not really. The plants and natural materials made it so pretty.

The pictures were misleading, it seems like it’s been lacking in maintenance for some time. I wish the rooms had a better smell, felt damp at night. The sheets had some stains on them. The hotel is in a safe area, but it is also lacking in curb appeal. Definitely felt far from everything and left one night early to go to a hotel on the beach. The only plus was the food which was excellent.

The hotel itself was beautiful, felt like I was living in the jungle. The pool was also clean and heated. The staff was very responsive over text, I think they could be a little more enthusiastic in person tho. The room was nice too, the bed was comfortable, the shower was nice, and we had a nice outdoor seating area with a tub. Unfortunately, the bedding and towels had stains. Every day when we asked for housekeeping the bed was made but sheets were not changed and we continued to sleep in stained sheets we had been using since we got there. We did at one point also stopped getting running water but that was fixed by the time we got back at night. One sliding door in the bathroom which led outside did not lock and when we asked the front desk guy about getting that fixed nothing was done about it. Lots of reviews said the beach club was also included for free (which i also confirmed on text) but unfortunately we had horrible experiences at orchid beach Tulum as they incorrectly told us we had to reserve and have a minimum spend of $1000 pesos to use the area. Servers Jonathan and Nelson were horrible at the beach club. Roger and the manager were nice. Overall id give this place an okay rating. Beautiful but wouldn't stay again. I wouldn't say this lives up to a 5 star hotel standard.

The property was beautiful, however the air conditioner was out when we first booked in the room. The staff was excellent (only the ladies, the men were a little rude). Very quiet place for me and my husband to enjoy our honeymoon and away from the party scene. If planning to stay here please know that this hotel is not to close to the party life and is more of a quiet place to enjoy and stay.

I do not recommend. I booked a two night stay and thankfully It was only for two nights. I was blind sided at check in where I was completely disrespected by management and employees as a guest/customer traveling from the U.S. unfortunately customer service does not go far at this place or in Mexico as they seek to take advantage of foreign travelers. Their policies are hidden and confusing, falsely advertised and expect to pay more fees on arrival. They then proceeded to tell me my room is no longer available due to an “issue” with the room. They said I would need to pay for two separate rooms at this point and I had already paid nearly 500$ for the master suite which I would no longer get to experience. The manager had no respect and rolled her eyes at us. It’s slow season for them and they clearly are trying to make any amount of money they can. They charge you for using anything in the room, absolute joke. They hold 55$ per night on your card for “security” on top of all the non sense fees and charges they already tac on. The reviews online are misleading. Terrible management, terrible ownership. Disgrace. I would never return to this place or Tulum in that fact. Overpriced for low quality experiences. The management at this place would not even be considerate and coming to an agreement to resolve my issues. They are super unprofessional. The place is not even nice lol, my bed was dirty had holes/ brown stains, such a joke. Toilets smelt awful, hot water barely worked.

the property is beautiful. the customer service of employees was so friendly and helpful from dinner @ the restaurant to the front desk. it feels like your own private oasis. the neighborhood is cute and has many food options. I also liked it was between the beach and city center so easy to navigate. TV has streaming options. the best wws one or the most comfortable hotel beds i’ve ever been in I wish I could take it home with with me!! This was meant to be a birthday treat but certainly didn’t feel like it due to how inattentive the concierge was or how poor the amenities were for a “5 star hotel” (seems like a self appointed rating if I’m honest).

We arrived to two large mosquitos in the room which we had to hunt down, and a dirty tub which we paid extra for and never got to use in the end.

We didn’t notice how dirty the tub was until we tried to use it, so when we asked to get cleaned in a specific time, they failed to send someone whilst we were offsite so we could take advantage of it when we arrived back. (We couldn’t empty it ourselves and relied on the hotel staff to do it for us)

Whilst cleaning the tub, it didn’t have a simple drain but required the use of a noisy pump to remove the water which inevitably broke & tripped the electricity of the entire hotel breaking the AC in the room… by this point we gave up waiting and had left to go to the beach as we were wasting our time with in this hotel that is in need of some serious refinement to get anywhere near 5 stars.

When I highlighted this at check out, the hostess was largely unsympathetic and only interested in taking payment for the small elements of the mini bar we used (the coffee pods which every other hotel give for free were chargeable by the way!). And if she really wanted to make up for our less than favourable experience, could have comped the beer, single chocolate and two coffee pods that we used as a way to make it up to us.

We had a fantastic time at the Orchid Jungle. It's a stunning and unique hotel that we really enjoyed. However we were a little disappointed with the quality of the room, old taps and sinks and shower, the room felt a little tired. It was clean though just needs a little bit of updating! The price was fair!

It's located in the new area of Tulum, which is very safe but at the time that we were there the area was under construction and a little hard to navigate (no street lights etc) and incredibly expensive restaurants. We'd recommend to go to the downtown area for food.

What was amazing though was that you get free access to the Orchid Beach House which was stunning!
Overall a solid four stars, we would come back!!!

The people who work there from the front desk to the kitchen to the bartenders and wait staff are amazing and this property is GORGEOUS! If you are looking for a Swiss Family Robinson experience then this is it. Very old Tulum style but with a touch of Luxury. We had the Upstairs Master suite and I would highly recommend this room. Both sides open up wide to separate balconies. It’s also amazing how private the room felt.
The only issue was the tip system was a little confusing. I was told ahead of time that the tip was included in the check total in the restaurant and bar. We tipped the servers more because they were all amazing. Then when we checked out they had a separate area on the invoice which had added an additional tip. (You could decline it) We were a little confused as we tipped the housekeeper as well. We declined to add the extra, extra tip and I’m now just afraid I don’t tip enough! Maybe the tip was NOT included in the check.
Otherwise a lovely, fun stay

This property is in Zama - away from the Hotel Zone hustle, but only a few minutes drive which makes it a good choice.
The restaurant of this property is one of the best restaurants in the entire Mexico. Even if you're not staying overnight, do stop by and have a meal.

Gorgeous boutique hotel! Very quiet and romantic setting. Staff was friendly and helpful during our stay. Rooms were very clean and well maintained. Our water did go out once, but besides that we had running hot water the rest of our trip. Drinks were amazing as well (shoutout to Antonio for being our favorite bartender in Tulum)!

Staff was fantastic! Rooms are great! Very comfortable beds, nice big shower. Overall the stay was great. I would recommend getting a scooter to rent if you’re staying here. Bikes tires were flat and they had a scooter to rent but only one helmet after they already told us that we could rent two bikes no problem. We still had an excellent stay here and would most definitely return if given the chance.

Loved everything except the $extras! two drinks from the bar(two for ones!), two water bottles, and the coffee cost us almost $100 bucks US. It's the little things, you were afraid to use the shampoo because you might be charged.We set everything aside in the room that they could have added and didn't use it! a general store around the corner saved us many bucks!

Cute boutique hotel. Suite was beautiful. Hotel could use newer sheets. Stain on them. Even when they swapped them every day, still had different stain. Smelled clean. Maids even folded and organized our things one day. Extra bed comforters was rip/torn. Water wasn’t really hot. Toilet wasn’t flushing properly. Unfortunately for us they was doing construction right above us during our stay. They was fixing roof top eating. Food was ok. Massages were good. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Little confusing driving in and out. Wrong turn and you hit dirt roads. Amazing Japanese restaurant .3 miles away walking distance. many eating area close by. Downtown Main Street was close. Close to beach. Would recommend. Overall decent for price we paid. Few Better spots close by. More expensive. Suite worth upgrade

I booked 1 room at Orchid beach house and a different room by accident at orchid house. The property managers were not willing to work with my family and I to have both rooms in one place and the rooms are not refundable. Rooms were a bit small. Staff was nice. No breakfast included and food was overpriced.
