We stayed at the penthouse and had a great time. There’s more pros than cons, that I will share:
Pros
Location is great, in a closed secured part of Zama, security 24/7, lots of restaurants, cafes, shops and tour operators within walking distance.
Pool and patio area are really nice, spacious and has a shaded and a sunny side area.
Rooms are spacious, and so are the bathrooms. Kitchen is clean and well equipped to make food.
There’s a mini store and two pharmacies right across the street. The housekeeping team was really nice and helpful. Beautiful place to stay.
Cons
Internet-super spotty, had issues the entire stay. It only worked on the main floor, once you went to the upstairs room or pool area, it did not work. I message Liana but her response was that she would report it to the provider :(
Overall, I would stay here again, and would recommend it, but the person in charge needs to step up her act, and be more responsive.

Room was not ready for us when we arrived - the shower wasn’t working, the water wasn’t hot and the pool hadn’t been cleaned or turned on. There was rubbish in the garden like broken loungers. The apartment was much darker than the pictures. The path the leads to the building is also not very clear, especially at night, so it was very hard to find. The other buildings have much better and clearer entrance ways. The lift was also broken and as a group of mostly women many of whom were over 60 that made getting bags up and down the stairs difficult. It was also hard to get hold of staff - they were nowhere to be seen most of the time and WhatsApp communication was slow / there were some communication difficulties. After some complaining and room swapping we ended up with a better room, upstairs (I do not recommend staying on the ground floor) the shower still had to be fixed and the hot water was still an issue - it was only enough for a 5minute shower - so it was difficult to wash long hair and because the weather wasn’t very warm, we all caught colds due to having cold showers.

The stay was amazing. The only thing is just the exterior at night it’s pretty dark, but nonetheless it’s very quiet and peaceful. It’s very relaxing to stay there the communication it’s good with the host. Overall a good experience except for the cabs they can be pretty hostile if you get your own cab like (Eiby or Indrive) but the Taxis in Tulum are very aggressive and they just want to take the most money they can. I would just say be careful on that part.

We stayed here during the holidays. The property is beautiful, but the management was not very responsive. Unfortunately, we ran out of water for a day and did not receive a response until 14 hours later. Additionally, we noticed that people do not respect the designated quiet hours, so if you’re looking for a calm and peaceful stay, this might not be the ideal place. On a positive note, the house is well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, cleaning services were available, and the place was always kept very clean.

The unit had an awful smell, plumbing issues as the water had to be turned off when it was worked on. The restaurant, bar and pool were closed down, but the closure was not indicated on the listing. The beds were very hard.

The washer and dryer did NOT work. The coffee machine left clumps in the coffee. The shower water was alittle salty but this is understandable considering it’s so close to the beach. But the staff was super friendly and welcoming. And the AC works REALLY well for it being so humid in the area.

Beautiful 2 bedroom apartment, 3 beds, one king in one room and 2 twins in another, beds are rock hard, not looking forward to sleep in them, we are not sure how this apartment shows as a property that can accommodate 5 persons, but some how Expedia or Casa Wahh, allow for a booking for 5 person, they shouldn’t. Check in was a nightmare, since I never got the access codes and no one seemed to answer my call, text or messages through the Expedia app, we were able to get in an hour later by mere chance as we happened to see a person that was leaving the apartment complex and he happened to be a person they worked here, he had to contact the managers to get the access codes. Beat in mind that the place is mosquito infested, so waiting outside, locked out for an hour meant to be fighting with mosquitoes. After we finally got in I reached out to the managers only to get this response response:

“ Hello
I am sorry
Wr semt you all the info to the app
I have the proves
So please check well your messages.”

They sent their screenshots and I sent my screenshots, they sent messages and for some reason I didn’t receive them. A technical issue but I was surprised by the rudeness of the manager “…so please check your messages well”, zero tact, zero care.

I’m glad we are just staying here for one night on our way to Xcaret.

Liked it was near the local restaurants. I didn't like the cleanliness of the rooftop furniture nor pool.

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Wahh. Really nice property. The quiet was nice and so were the amenities. Really enjoy the upstairs area. Also liked that, it had security and felt safe. Be aware that there is not much in the immediate area. A person has to walk or find a way to get to anything around there. Might make sense to Rent a bike, but we didn’t do that . The community pool isn’t much to talk about. As others have mentioned, there is construction all around, but didn’t feel intrusive at all.

Firstly, the place is verty dirty! we discovered that the iron provided was not functioning properly, leading to damage to some of our dresses. Additionally, there wad a strong unpleasant odor in the unit, and we also spotted cockroaches in the apartment. The host never seemed bothered by these concerns or offered to clean as supposed.

Pluming issues, no water flow, and water quality is not great. The pool did not look like it was cleaned and housekeeping using very harsh chemical cleaners, we got a little allergic from it. Overall great value for $$$.

ideal space for people who want to be off beaten track, don’t like hotel strip vibe, want to cook/hang out together. has guards to get in and out of the neighborhood-but at our specific property, we’re there 30%.

We rented early but management shift occurred. One of main reasons I booked was Bc of reviews of the previous hostess.

Appliances are tricky. Laundry isn’t really a thing because it takes so many iterations to make it work & it still ends up smelly. Had difficulties w sink - obviously a lack of disposal, but even so I had to drain the pipe underneath myself w a bucket.ewww gross

pool on the rooftop deck is darling but the size of a hot tub but not warmed. So if you are there in winter months, it is very chilly and no one wanted to get in and that was a selling point for me. The common pool advertised is 100% shaded and super shallow

The kitchen is lacking in bowls, measuring cups, etc. We had a difficult time getting dishwasher & oven to work.

However, the space is cool, the penthouse is amazing, you just have to know that it is a drive to most places.

100% authentic: was not in love with Tulum that I thought I might be.

great spot - we had a very good stay at casa wahh. was well located between the beach and the main town so it was easy to get around. the only disappointing thing was that casa wahh was advertised as having free pool and jacuzzi access even for the terrace apartments which don't have a private pool. turned out to be a pool, jacuzzi, and sauna situation at a restaurant a few minutes away walking and the jacuzzi was broken and the pool didn't look as clean as we'd have liked. otherwise a good spot to relax and stay at in tulum. Anel, the property manager was very responsive and helpful!

The most Honest Review

Casa Wahh was insanely beautiful. It is in this luxury complex of apartments in Tulum. Casa Wahh is about a 20-minute taxi ride to the center of Tulum where all the restaurants and resorts are which can be a bit annoying because all of the taxi drivers are scammers in Tulum. If you plan on staying here, I suggest renting a car. The host Anel is the absolute best, she will do anything in her power to make your stay a pleasant one. We reached out to her with any questions or concerns, and she answered all of them in a timely manner. Take into consideration that these are apartments and not an adult only resort and there may be children or dogs on the premises. She has no control over that. We didn't get a chance to visit the spa but we did book a massage and clay mask in our room which was a 10/10. There is a restaurant called TUUCh on the premises which was great. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here, it made my stay in Tulum pleasant.

Staying at Casa Wahh was such a great experience. The apartment was cleaned very well in preparation for our arrival. We enjoyed the fact that we had plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Anel, the hostess, was simply amazing. She made sure that we had everything that we needed, and she was so easy to reach via WhatsApp if we had any questions or requests. We liked that the apartment is located in an area that was very safe. We also enjoyed being able to easily walk to shops and restaurants in the area. An added perk of staying at Casa Wahh was the fact that we had access to the spa facilities at Tuuch, which was a quick 3 minute walk away. If we visit Tulum again, we will definitely stay at Casa Wahh.

We travelled as family 2 adults 2 kids (16years). Perfekt accomodation, with all you need. Full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, spaceous Livingroom, WiFi, balcony...etc. The SPA is remarkable!
If we had a wish: keep the sunbeds tidy (birdpoop) and provide more of them.

Will return definitely. Contact-Person Enel is super-kind and always reachable. Thank you Enel and to the whole team (cleaning, night-guard and all not mentioned) also a big THANX!!

Let me start by saying I rarely write reviews. Casa Wahh went above and beyond for our group of 12 ladies. Anel helped with arranging transportation, gave us ideas on places to visit and communicated timely. I will absolutely bring my family back to stay. The spa is a minute away and was the most relaxing atmosphere. The ruins and shops are close by as well. This was a bachelorette party and Casa wahh offered a private chef. we took advantage of this option the last night and had an amazing dinner on the roof top. what a vibe!!!! I have been to Mexico three times and this was one of the best! Thank you so much Anel and Casa wahh for making my bachelorette vacation amazing, you have no idea how much i appreciate you! See you next year :)

Casa Wahh’s beautiful and well equipped apartment was exactly what we needed to unplug from work in a metropolis. Fully surrounded by nature, the apartment offered the quiet and private environment we were looking for. The private pool and the outer bathtub made it truly special. We were also welcomed by the lovely Anel, who was most helpful and attentive, being available to answer our questions at any point prior and during our stay. She also provided great recommendations of what to do in town. Just an amazing place right in the middle of paradise. Highly recommended.

Beautiful and safe neighborhood location inside Luum Zama of Aldea Zama. Clean and nicely decorated. Easy check in and Angel was fantastic throughout my entire stay. She was always above and beyond available and communicative for anything I needed or questions I had. Even proactively reaching out to check on me. Only issue was some broken deck boards which need repair. Anel offered to send a maintenance person right away for that. I declined as we were using the yard at the time but hopefully they fix it. Otherwise beautiful property would stay again!

Anel was very responsive to things we needed and answered all of our questions. The only downside is I would recommend anyone staying in Casa Wah is to rent a vehicle, the driving distance to the main strip is about 20 mins. There is also construction going on around the area as well. We had an incident in which the electricity went off and our seafood ceviche left in the refrigerator had to be thrown away. We weren't reimbursed for this but Anel accommodated our check-out time for the inconvenience. Overall we loved Tulum and would go back. Casa Wah was very welcoming and comfortable :)

It was cozy, spacious, clean and great location.
The receptionist Anel was very helpful and courteous. They had great communication of places to go, things to do and also whenever we needed anything they responded. Gated community and security overnight! Approx 2 miles from beach and they were cute Restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely visit again!

The location was perfect for traveling to the beaches, the ruins, the local coffee spot, the grocery store, Tulum town - especially once we hired our bikes for the week. Unreal accommodations. My jaw dropped as soon as I entered the space. It has everything you need including private laundry, gorgeous kitchen, gorgeous shower, everything. The host Anel was absolutely incredible as well - extremely responsive, communicative and thorough. I stayed there for several days and even when I messaged her late at night past her shift she would respond and help immediately. I think the only thing to keep in mind is the location is convenient in some ways and inconvenient in others. You can get to the downtown area by walking for about 20 minutes quickly through random streets but at night it can feel a bit sketchy. Or you can walk on the main roads and it'll take a bit longer. It's a very quiet and safe street but doesn't have that much 'life' if you're looking to party and connect with others. I think for those who are looking for a stay for a month or longer, it functions really well or if you have access to a car it's perfect. Internet works very quickly!

Very friendly staff. Anel was so very helpful. It was easy to communicate with her & she was prompt. Apt is very clean & spacious. Loved that it had a washer/dryer to avoid bringing back dirty clothes. It’s located in a up & coming neighborhood. There is lots of construction happening throughout the city. Apt is a bit far from the centro, you can get there in taxi but it can get a bit pricey depending on how long you’re there for, or on bicycle. Still very nice place to stay, it’s not too far nor too close from business of el centro. Loved our stay & loved the jungle feel of Tulum

This was an amazing property with an amazing price. The apartment was very large and we had our own private pool which was great. The host was super helpful and was able to call us taxis, recommend food places, and hold our bags when we had a late flight. The complex is gated as well as the hotel itself, so I never felt unsafe while staying here. I would definitely stay here again.

I truly don't understand why this place isn't 10 stars?? This was my first time going to tulum but i know and i will be going back and i will only stay with casa wahh! you have direct contact with the owner Anamaria who set us my roundtrip shuttle to an from the hotel the front desk person Aneil omg i just love her she made are entire stay enjoyable she recommended places to go order our cabs simply went above and beyond! casa wahh rooms are beautiful with a private pool and hot tub the pictures due no justice to how beautiful it truly, the hotel about a 20 minute ride from downtown its really close to everything i have already recommend to all of my friends

House is very close to most attractions, zenotes, beach, restaurants, supermarkets. Ann Marie was very helpful and responded quickly to every question we had, we were a group of 7 girls and fit comfortably in the house, cooked breakfast every day, kitchen it’s well equipped. Very easy to get a taxi every day. Rooftop pool was a plus to get together and just relax. Thanks Ann Marie! I highly recommend the place if you want to be close to everything and away from the madness of zona hotelera. Gracias!
