The room is nice, really close to the center and quiet at night.
The only thing that was really disturbing is that we were back at the hotel to rest at 2pm, and suddenly someone was drilling above our heads for more than half an hour.
When I talked with the receptionist, she apologized for the inconvenience and said it is maintenance but there was nothing she could do until it is done, so napping was not an option…

Fabulous hotel in the city centre. Would recommend this hotel. Breakfast was ok, but a bit pricey and they had run out of breakfast tea on second morning which was a bit annoying, but plently of other teas and coffees available. The only cups available for tea and coffee were small expresso type cups. This would not put me off the hotel though, just wouldn't have breakfast there next time.

Perfect location in the centre of Vienna. 5 minute walk from St Stephen’s Cathedral and surrounded by so many different options for dining, drinking and shopping. Public transport was easily accessible as well.

Excellent location. Surprisingly quiet considering that it's close to everything. Great room, comfortable bed but room was on the smaller side (as expected in Europe). Shower was good with a rain shower head. Clean room, nice service. Stayed over new year's and housekeeping gave us chocolates and prosecco for new year's eve, which was a nice touch. No iron in the room, you have to access it in another floor, which was a little inconvenient. Lots of shopping and restaurant options around. About 5 minutes walk to Stephansplatz. Close to metro stations, very convenient. Overall, excellent hotel and would stay again.

The area is good, walk 5 mins to great area of Stephenplatz. Room is small but adequate size for location however no shelves to put clothes. New decor and lovely bathroom but carpet looks old. No secure WiFi and very spotty coverage in room. Expensive bar and restaurant compared to others. Overall fine for price we paid - nothing majorly wrong.

Staff - Friendly - Apart from checkout (paid no attention to the response of ‘how was your stay’, followed by head shaking and grinning as if our feedback was worthless).

Maintenance of Building - Incredibly Poor (lift broken, air con broken, beds awful, heating broken, paper thin walls and doors).

The location was fantastic, but for the price paid, we expected better, prepare for some sleepless nights!

The reception staff were very kind and professional and the hotel is in a great location and very clean.

We asked for two rollaway beds in each of our rooms. They did supply them without a problem but both of them were of such terrible quality, it was impossible to sleep. One of them was actually a foldout chair. It was awful and my children were exhausted after two nights of not sleeping. It's is unfair to sell rooms with that feature when they are of such poor quality.

The bathrooms are tiny and there isn't enough room for toiletries.

Great area to stay in Vienna. Vibrant & Bussy. Lots of restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops and a walkable distance from transport and main attractions. Only down (for us though) is that the A/C wasn’t very strong and we struggled with the heat sleeping but maybe it was just us used to colder weather.

The hotel is being renovated on the 3rd, 4th and 8th floors. From 8am until 6pm each day (including weekends) there is incessant banging and drilling, meaning that having some chill time in the afternoon just wasn’t possible. Had we been informed prior to our trip that this work was happening, we would have gone elsewhere. Poor show by Hotel MERCURE Wien Zentrum by not informing us of this work before our stay. Not an enjoyable holiday at all.

Always lovely to stay at a Mercure hotel. This is the 3rd one in as many cities that I’ve stayed in. Paris, Amsterdam and now Vienna. Staff are always super helpful and the team photos behind the desk were especially reassuring. It seemed like a lot of effort to go to which wouldn’t be done in a place where they thought the staff were going to leave. This suggested you me that the staff were happy there, loved their jobs and we’re likely to be around for the next few years.

This hotel is well located, the breakfast is good and the staff friendly.
It's a shame that the bathroom doesn't have a proper door, but instead a sliding glass door with a big circular hole that is used as a \"handle\"
And the AC isn't powerful enough, we were so hot the two nights!!!!

The property was in a perfect location and offered everything you would want. The breakfast had the widest selection I had ever seen in a hotel. The only odd thing is the bathroom door, it is glass with a giant hole in it. It’s a bit odd when going with friends that you could see them on the toilet but you can just stay in the main room away from the bathroom. Otherwise it’s the perfect choice!

Its a small hotel. Accomodations are adequate. Ammenties are somewhat limited. Rooms are kept clean. Included breakfasts are good. What the physical hotel itself may lack is more than made up for by a very friendly, helpful and cheerful staff.

We had everything we wanted in our room. Staff were extremely helpful whenever we asked for anything, and when I was struggling to print transport vouchers their help was exceptional.

Will never recommend and will never go there

Was requested gluten-free breakfast during booking 2 months ago, while in there was asked to toast gluten free bread in the general toaster. Then found out they didn’t have gluten free bread

Was given a very small room with small window then after asking if there was any better room we are eligible to, then was given much better one.
Then cleaner forgot to top up toiletries, requested to reception waited and hour to take shower, none arrived then when went to breakfast only to found out no gluten-free bread. I have celiac disease

Also, my don and my body was itching all three nights, didn’t happen on our 18 days holiday in 4 other different countries. I assume it could be dust mite.
Only location was excellent However it was overall disappointing and not acceptable as we stayed in different accord hotel in the past with happier experience

The hotel is located in the center of the city. Staff was very professional and both check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. They held our bags for a few hours after we checked out. Room was reasonable size and very well appointed. Many shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Airport is a short taxi ride away. Would recommend.

We stayed for 3 nights. The location is excellent as were the staff and there is an amazing restaurant next door. My only complaint (and this is a personal issue) is that the beds were too soft as we have a firm mattress at home. The hotel was very nice and I would definitely recommend.

Good position for walking everywhere

This hotel was in an excellent position. As Vienna is quite small, we found that despite having broken my leg in May, I could easily, but slowly , walk to most of the places that we wanted to see. The Vienna Pass he lower with the rest and that bus stop was not far from the hotel. Only problems were that the room was too hot, and as the window had a message on it to not open it , we didn't, and that the only television in English that we could find was the BBC news channel and American news channel. You could get Cuban and Chinese programmes, but not English speaking ones. Other than that, a great hotel.

Basic tourist/business hotel and extremely well located. Be warned that there are multiple Mercure hotels in Vienna. If using taxi from airport, station you need to be specific. Very good breakfast service included.

We had a lovely time in Vienna and the hotels location is absolutely perfect you honestly couldn’t ask for any better. In my opinion the rooms are slightly on the small side and you are tripping over one another as a couple sharing. The hotel staff were lovely and very very helpful there was a waiter for the restaurant who had just started on his first and second shift when we arrived and he was brilliant! Helpful and a pleasure to talk to. The same can be said for the blonde girl who looks after reception in the afternoons and early evenings. She was extremely helpful and any request we had was resolved within five minutes with a smile. Over all a lovely stay

Great location, very friendly staff

Great hotel - very comfortable and although centrally located was very quiet. Rooms very clean and serviced daily. Free goof quality WiFi. Staff were all great apart from one rude barmaid in the hotel bar. Just be warned that there is another Mercure a short walk from here and we went there first to check in but the guy on reception kindly showed us where we had gone wrong.

Good Choice

Really well located hotel for central Vienna. Rooms comfortable, aircon efficient, and good choice at breakfast. Close to Schwedenplatz UBahn and to bars and restaurants as well as St Stephen’s Cathedral. We’d definitely stay there again.
