The property is in a need of a complete renovation as the rooms were old and run down. Talked with the day manager about our air conditioner as we could not sleep as it was way to hot in the room. He stated that he would schedule an ac person to look at it, told us the person was looking at when we returned to our room after our morning activities. This was a lie, know one looked according to his staff. Do not stay at this place!!’

Most of the staffs were very nice, however, one of the staff at breakfast was extremely rude, making comments such as “mama mia!”every time I went to get my food. Besides that unpleasant experience, everyone else were very nice. The other breakfast lady , for the other mornings, was so very nice and sweet! The place was conveniently located, and can get to places with ease.

Chose for the location to the metro. Was also very easy to walk to the libations I was interested in seeing. Breakfast was very good and liked the availablity of coffee and tea. The staff were great and I appreciated the treat I received upon departure.

No counter space was difficult and the carpet was a little stained. The staff always seemed surprised to be communicated with which makes me believe they’re not used to talking. The hotel entrance is in an alley and it can feel scary at night, especially since I didn’t see any signage. Other than that, the location was fine. You’ll have to walk a couple minutes to feel like you’re in a good area. They don’t include a bed sheet which was strange. The room was very hot despite me having the AC on the lowest setting.

Nice little hotel, very central, very friendly service, especially at breakfast. The single room was rather small but had all I needed. The air conditioner was not working properly (which the hotel was aware of but not able to fix) and as a result the room was rather warm, but admittedly that was during an exceptionally hot day in Vienna.

This hotel is a superb location for getting to all the major spots in Vienna. However it is not a 4 star hotel at all and looks nothing like the pictures. It was clean and met my needs. The breakfast needs to be improved from a quality standpoint. Overall good location, but don’t come in expecting a 4 star, it’s a 2

The property was in an excellent location with a walkable distance to most sites. The underground as also just around the corner. The staff was excellent! Extremely helpful and friendly. The accommodations were modest, but extremely clean. I have stayed in Vienna 4 times and will book this again over larger and more elaborate hotels. Tremendous value for the money.

Can’t go wrong

For a base for the city, you can’t get much better than this hotel. It’s so close to everything you’ll need and at a fraction of the price compared to others. The rooms are done in an odd style considering it’s brand new - but that doesn’t affect anything to do with your stay. The breakfast is good, what you’d expect from a continental. Only negative is the minibar is expensive!

Sleep very difficult here

Only negative aspect oft his stay was the bed. It was terrible. I got 2 hours of sleep due to the mattress being in such bad shape you could feel the springs in your back. We were only there for one night but it negatively impacted me the next two days of our trip. Service was great, location was great and it appeared to be clean. But would advise agains staying there purely for the bed.

Tiny little room. Advertised was a beautiful art deco hotel. It wad just old and tired. Bathrom and shower seperated with no sinks in toilet area. Curtain only for sink srea. Room not ready. No airport shuttle... they csll a cab for you. But, a very nice breakfast.

the problem with this hotel is not that it’s dirty, or that the rooms are bad. ours was fine. it’s that they claim to be something they are not.

the entrance is depressing. the furniture is low quality, the breakfast area looks like a fast food restaurant, the towels are cheap. and while there is a guy sitting at the entrance 24 hours, there is no service to speak of. this is a small hotel, NOT a boutique hotel.

incase the management reads this bad review, WHAT EXACTLY IS A BOUTIQUE HOTEL?

It has a strong personality. A boutique hotel's intimate size produces its one-on-one five-star hospitality service and its heady ambiance. A boutique hotel strives to be one-of-a-kind. Whether it's independently owned or a member of a luxury hotel brand or association, it has an independent attitude and works hard to not feel like a corporate hotel.

Saint Sherman and Max Brown are great boutique hotels in Vienna, and cost less than i paid to stay here.

for this reason, i give it no stars. if they had just called it a small hotel, my expectations would not have been so high, and i might have given it 4 stars. but it’s not what the claim.

if you come here expecting it to be a boutique hotel, you WILL be disappointed.

A small and friendly hotel in a very convenient location. It is only about 3 minutes walk from the express airport bus stop, and also a subway and tram station. The main shopping streets are about 5 minutes away. The staff were very friendly, the room small but clean and comfortable with interesting decor. The toilet is in a separate room, with the shower cubicle and basin separated from the room by a curtain. The air conditioning / heating was very effective. The buffet breakfast was very tasty, and you could help yourself to free tea and coffee all day. The staff were very informative and helpful, giving us maps and pointing out places to see. For the price, we thought the hotel excellent value and would certainly stay there again.

Right in middle of City just by Schwedenplatz Station. Staff very friendly and helpful, room and facilities were spotless. I had a small basic single room as that was all that was left. It was fine but I should have preferred something bigger but that was not the hotel's fault. No restaurant, like so many hotels, but an excellent breakfast buffet. I would certainly stay again and next time will book in advance and go for one of the more luxurious options

Comfortable hotel. Friendly staff. Good plentiful breakfast. Very clean. It was the second time we used this hotel. It is well situated close to the metro, swedenplatz, and Vienna centre. Easy access to historic centre. The only issues we had was the noise at night. Unfortunately the hotel is opposite a bar and it has been very noisy well passed midnight. Also a small detail, make sure you bring with you your shower gel and shampoo. No toiletries given we had a dispenser attached to the wall. Impossible to squeeze! In my opinion this hotel will benefit from a little redecoration. Some area as the terasse needs repairs.

Everything about this hotel was outstanding. The room was nicely decorated and very modern. Breakfast was excellent.
Location is awesome! Next to a metro station, tram stops, and only a 5-minute walk to St. Stephen’s Cathedral. It’s the perfect location! The receptionist were all very helpful and friendly. Next time I’m in Vienna, I will definitely stay here again.

Right by Schwedenplatz, for buses and underground. 4 mins walk from the airport bus stop in one direction and from the Big Bus tour stop 15 on the red route in the other direction. Walking distance from the Spanish riding school, museums and opera house (about 20 to 30 mins walk through nice parts of the town).
