Reception. I called. emailed a few times with flight details etc for shuttle back and from hotel. no response. The staff were not pleasant in hotel we had call reception 1st night because of the noise. And was told it was a night club outside and they refused to change my room or apologise. I contacted Expedia regarding this and they were very disappointed with the situation and also tried calling hotel many times with no response. I certainly would not use this hotel again or recommend it to anyone

Cons: Room design and decor could use improvement. The view was underwhelming.

Walkability: The location is relatively convenient, though some other hotels are closer to key attractions and more centrally located.

Nice stay in Vienna

Location was pretty good - very close to RingStrasse - so it made getting around town very convenient. Rooms were quite small (especially with sleeper sofa pulled out for kids). Also the air conditioning didn't get quite as cold as we prefer so we were really hot in the room. Our room wasn't ready until 5 pm, which was especially disappointing given that we had taken a red eye and were waiting for a room since arriving 8:30 in the morning. Breakfast was fantastic and staff were great.

The picture of hotel on Hotels.Com is deceiving, it looks that the property is 10 to 15 floors high, where as thats the adjoining building.
Actual Novotel might be only 4-5 floors high.

Pleasant stay

We were on a 17 day trip to Italy and Vienna. We loved the easy check in and the location of the hotel. I loved the water pressure in the shower. The only downer for us was the bed was a little on the hard side. The employees were all pleasant and eager to assist us. The hotel was close to many restaurants and a couple of grocery stores and bakeries. Would definitely stay there again. Also the hotel was very quiet and we never heard any noise from the hallway or other rooms.

I wouldn't stay here again. I didn't sleep well, the heat control was either off or warm/hot even when it was off it was too warm. Opening the balcony door cooled it down but the road noise was too loud to keep it open.

The room seemed like it was designed by someone who didn't have much experience, first the sink or to be more accurate a tap with a drainage hole, a completely useless idea.

The shower was an overhead one or one attached to the wall, but was mounted at waist height so it wasn't possible to have a normal shower without holding it. The shampoo and shower gel was above shoulder height, who thought that was a good idea? It made it really awkward to dispense.

This is a family hotel so be prepared for loud children in the morning going to breakfast, or if your unlucky children in the next room, who were noisy until after midnight. A complaint the next day to reception and all was quiet the next night so at least they acted on feedback.

Another room had room service and the tray with half eaten food was outside in the evening and still there the next day at 10.30 when I checked out.

I've stayed in other accor hotels and they were much better.

Please do not book any advance lunch or dinner. Not a good experience.
Made advance payment for 5 meals. Hotel insisted only 3 coupons showing in their system. It turned out more expensive by pre booking meals.

Great Vienna stay

Nice hotel, stayed for conference in Vienna and it is right on the metro line so you can go into Vienna city easily.
I had breakfast included- there was cereal, breads, cold meats and a hot buffet of sausage, scrambled egg, beans etc.
All i would say is that it does get busy for breakfast so tables were short and some items needed refilling but that's not the fault of the hotel it's just something as a guest you need to bear in mind. I also had lunch here when i arrived and the club sandwich was very nice.
The room has a small fridge which i kept some small bits of food in, there is a spar a very short walk so you can grab some deli bits as you need.
All in all a practical hotel for my trip to Vienna, thank you.

Good stay but duty Manager very rude!!!

Good Comfortable Stay unfortunately some staff not very informative and behave of duty manager not professional and ignorant.
We have been informed that breakfast next morning starts at 6.30am which was perfect for us as we can hit road early. Arrived on breakfast been told that breakfast starts actually at 7 am when asked duty manager can we grab coffee on the go he completely ignored us and told us to that's rules and I should check web when breakfast is served (he just walk away from us) very unprofessional behaviour.

The room was good and clean. Great with a mini fridge, a kettle and some coffee and tea. The room was a little bit too small for a family. Pillows too hard and difficult to sleep on. What we didn’t like was the bathroom doors opening from the bedroom. Every time you wanted to go in, the lights shine right into the room.
Parking garage was not connected to the hotel, which wasn’t good for us with small kids and luggage to carry.
Check in was from 3pm, even then our room wasn’t ready. We had to wait a little longer, not good with small children and since we had been travelling since morning.

Good location...

The hotel's location is quite good; it is within walking distance to the city center and major destinations. Breakfast costs 15 Euros per person, and children eat for free. It's quite sufficient, but they charge an additional 5 Euros for tea and coffee consumed during breakfast. They might as well set the price at 20 Euros from the start; it honestly seemed odd to me. The receptionist made a strange comment, saying something like, \"Why are you concerned about 5 Euros?\" We found it amusing. There is a Vapiano pizza place right next to the hotel. They have happy hour times and discounts. I recommend that place.

Location isn’t perfect but good enough. The issue we had was that the heater didn’t work, it was just blowing cold air. They provided the oil filled heater which did help, so the service was good.

Rooms as expected. Children's small play area worked wonders for us whilst waiting for a taxi or for the rain to stop. Lift doors stay open at ground floor when not in use which I found useful and efficient. Breakfast was ok, they need to provide better solution for the cold milk as the jug was always empty / required regular top ups.

Great breakfast, friendly staff, 2 minutes walk to U1 line Nestroyplatz station (2 stops from the center) and about 15-20 minutes walk to the center, StephansPlatz area. Great breakfast food selection. Be careful about the Covid restrictions in Vienna though, all restaurants, including the hotel breakfast restaurant requires full vaccination (3 vaccines) for adults and children over 12. We only had 2, so had to eat breakfast in our room. You can also get a PCR test in the city if you are not fully vaccinated which is good for 3 days and has to be repeated.

We were put in a room that was set up for different needs, which meant the toilet, bathroom and shelving was for someone operating at a different height or mobility. There was cracked plaster directly above the shower, and the bed was very uncomfortable.

personnel was receptive but very difficult to find the parking. I was parked on the next building which is costing 35 euro but the hotel offer a parking at 22... just figured out at the hotel counter....Breakfast was great.
There is no spa or pool or anything... just a room and restaurant so maked the job for one night

Nice modern boutique hotel. Decor looks great. Very comfy. Room size are good enough for 2 luggages. Good value for money. Location was great. Easy to get feom train station. From train station take exit right and turn left... walk to the end street after the river cross over and turn right. Walk all the way to the end about 10mins and you'll see the hotel sign. Easy to locate. Theres a good pasta and pizza restaurant Vapiano behind the hotel. Good food and cheap in Europe. Hotel staff were super friendly. I would stay again for sure. Overall good choice in Vienna.

Great location. Comfortable room, looked like an Ikea showroom. The carpets are dated and probably need to be replaced, but not a huge deal for me. Everyone was friendly and the hotel is pretty close to the subway and the city center.
