The room was clean and well maintained. I did not expect the host to wait for us on the street, which was thoughtful but also made me feel a bit apologetic. If our transportation had been delayed further, I am not sure how long the host would have had to wait. The host was also very helpful in lending us a power adapter, which we really appreciated.

We were three adults: a couple and a friend. The apartment was ideal for us, with two separate bedrooms. The living room and kitchen were cozy and equipped with essential amenities. The rooms had extra blankets, which were useful for the cold winter nights. It’s conveniently located near two grocery stores, many restaurants, shopping options, and just a 5-10 minute walk to the downtown area and main train station. I highly recommend it.

Property is very good location to train station, shops and restaurants. We could walk to everything. The apartment was fine for a quick 2 night stay. Minimal amenities and sparse furnishings. Someone met us outside for check in and offered early check in for an additional 30 chf . Price was good for Lucerne but a just a step above a hostel. Fine if you are jousting sleeping there and are out touring most of the day.

Only stayed for a night, but it's in a nice location close to the train and bus stations. Lots of restaurants and touristy stuff around. Also has an elevator for moving bags easily.
The apt also had 2 fans which was great as it was quite warm during our stay.

Check in is bit tricky, when I reach to the building couldn’t find anyone but I got a call earlier the day so called the guy and within a minute he was there.
Also, you need to check in before 9pm otherwise they charge I think 30 franks (whopping 60canadiN dollars ) overall good studio apartment ok for 3. Small kitchen you want to make a breakfast or any food. Not too bad for the price.

The property was centrally located and the host on site was extremely helpful. The two bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. The kitchen lacked a toaster and good frying pans but was sufficient for cooking simple meals. However the internet was very poor, constantly going in and out of service which made it difficult for work which I needed to do. and to enjoy some tv in the morning. The floor was very dirty and the main/front door houses all the garbage bins which was not very inviting. I would not stay here again

The rate in hotel,com was overrated!

I have several kinds of issues in this staying.
1) parking discount available was in their posting in hotels's com web but they didn't any discount for me and they remove it the posting.
2) The elevator was out of order when I arrived the hotel, and my room was 5th floor it was really night mare because we had 6~7 luggages 3 of over sixty seniors 1of 30 young lady, it was really big matters fir us.and it remaind unfixed situation when we check out.
3) There was really tiny bathroom.
This was the worst staying in my life.
Overrall, I was disapointed a lots.

Interaction and welcoming was good. Easily accessible from station. But we were moved into the apartment where the main central light in living area was not working. We had to manage with corner light and bedside light for all five nights we stayed. Informed on the day we checked in but got a response that it is being looked at and cannot confirm when it will be fixed.

We stayed for 5 nights without this issue getting fixed nor there was an attempt to make an alternate arrangement. It's also hard to believe a light can't be fixed in 5 days. We were offered to change apartment on 3rd day but it didn't work for us. It would have been better to change on the day we checked-in. Lighting was poor but we continued.

Apart from this stay was Ok.

The terrible corridor

We complained on the first day because we couldn’t use the corridor to reach our apartment, as this disgusting area had not been disclosed to us when booking. However, they didn’t listen or take any action. You can see from the photos how horrible it was, and we could even see it from our bedroom. Every time I looked at it, I felt sick. There was also asbestos in the apartment, and since my nephew has many allergies, we had a terrible experience overall

So if you have any mobility issues, know that stepping into and out of tub is very difficult and dangerous. There is a grab bar but it is so low that it is not functional. Also, the bed was not very comfortable , and pillows might as well have been absent. There was an oven but no pans that could be used in it. No microwave( and if the oven functions as both perhaps some written directions). The coffee maker worked great. There were 3 groceries stores in walking distance. The free transportation card was a Godsend in the wake of a heat wave. Took bus/tram a lot. Two fans helped a lot. There is a laundry room in the basement , and a drying “room” which is apparently open to all residents, we did not need to use it. Most nights it was very quiet.

I don't normally review places but... this was awful. Host was late to check us in...emailed twice tried calling, she showed up 15min late. Stairwell smells like pee and mold. Elevator is also gross. Roaches in the bathroom. Fan in the bathroom doesn't work and it is super hot in there. Floor is sticky. Paint is peeling off the walls/ceiling/doors. Furniture is cheap ikea stuff that is worn out. Mattress is uncomfortable. Wifi name/password info wasn't accurate. Really doesn't look ANYTHING like the photos. Feels like a bait&switch scam.

The apartment is centrally located in proximity to many sights.
The apartment was simple. We wished it was a little cleaner. The floor felt sticky and the air was stale ( like smokers in there before us). Also the fridge was shut off when we arrived and smelled bad.

The property clearly mentioned laundry as a facility. When we went and inquired, they said they charge for laundry. Also the apartment is super super super small. The pics give a look of a bigger place. It is less than or around 250sq ft for the whole place. It fits a bathroom, dining table, 2 beds and kitchen. It felt like we are in a cramped space. Very suffocating.

Terrible Stay – Avoid at All Costs!
This was a truly terrible experience. The entrance to the apartment was unclear and confusing, making check-in frustrating. The listing was completely misleading, and the apartment itself was poorly maintained. To make things worse, it was noisy at night, and I couldn’t get proper rest. The sharp edge of the toilet even cut my finger open – extremely unsafe! Overall, a fraudulent listing and a huge disappointment.

There is construction going on right next to the room. The jackhammering and bulldozing started at 7am sharp. Our view was watching the heavy construction equipment go by our balcony. There is no AC, so to cool the place we needed to open the windows. Then construction dust got all over the apartment. Everything was dirty.
The apartment was falling apart, kitchen facet was loose, cabinet doors barely hanging on and showerhead was super flimsy.
They provided no hand towels or washclothes. The sponge that was there to wash your dishes was disgusting!
Also Expedia says that laundry is avaliable, but you need to pay them $25 for 5 things. The laundry mat is a 10min walk.
It is a nice location and you can walk everywhere. The apartment was spacious with a nice layout.

Misleading Listing – Worst Stay Ever

This apartment was a huge disappointment. The photos on Hotels.com are completely misleading—the place is much smaller and poorly maintained.

When we arrived, the Wi-Fi and fans were unplugged, and neither of the bedside lamps worked. One electrical socket didn’t work at all, and to make matters worse, there was a safety pin jammed inside an extension cord, which was a serious safety hazard.

There was no hand soap in the bathroom, which is a basic necessity. The overall condition of the apartment was uncomfortable and felt neglected.

Definitely not worth the price, and I feel like the owner is intentionally misleading guests. Avoid this place at all costs.

This property worked well as a place for my family to spread out a little after traveling in hotel rooms. It was nice to have 2 bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen. When I booked, laundry was listed, but there was not a washing machine in the room. Overall it was walkable to everything we needed, there were grocery stores a block away, and it was a good stay.

Check in wasn’t great, we had made them aware we would be arriving early and they asked for £30 we just wanted to leave our bags so gave them a time no one was there. Then when we got back at check in time again had to call as no one was there. They did only take 5-10 minutes though.
The laundry facilities which says are included in the apartment actually cost £25 to use and are in a different room - this is not clear when booking.
The shower is broken so you have to hold it to use it.
The Tv did not work asked for logins which we didn’t have.
There were only four mugs and 2 wine glasses for 5 people.
There was only one key for five people which was an issue because you needed it to get in the main door and we were on floor 5.
Other than that the apartment itself was spacious, the area was fab and the apartment was clean and the man who checked us in was very friendly.

Apartment was extremely small and doesnt match the pictures. We were 3 ppl. It was a twin bed and a sofa bed. No space to open the luggage. Tiny kitchen area at the entrance of the apartment door. Utensils were old and in bad condition.
Bathroom shower curtain kept on falling.
There were only 3 rough wornout bath towel. No hand towel nothing.

The Galaxy apartments were a good option in Lucerne with room to grow. It is close to everything with a very attentive staff. They are on site and responded to all requests immediately. The apartment complex is a work in progress. They are updating it, but it still has room to improve. Overall, it was a good location, close to old town and grocery stores, great staff, but it needs to continue its renovation to get to where it needs to be. I would recommend staying there with awareness of the situation.

I had requested an early check-in, but unfortunately the apartment wasn’t ready when I arrived — cleaning hadn’t even started, which was disappointing. There was also no one present to receive me, and no instructions were provided about how to access the keys. I had to look around and eventually find someone in the building to help.

That said, the location is convenient — just 4 bus stops or a 12-minute walk to Lucerne train station. The apartment was okay overall. The bathroom was a bit small, but the top-floor unit had a great, spacious balcony, which was a nice highlight.

The property was listed as a 6 person room. We ended up having more people show up so we knew there would be a fee, but the fee was so expensive and all we got was a pillow and some linens. If they are going to charge for more people, then they should discount for what they advertised. The oven didn’t work, the balcony seating was rotted and full of splinters that you couldn’t even sit out there. The entry into the building was full of trash and used floss string.

Location is great and the square footage was a nice change. Person met us at the door and showed us to the apartment and was also available to answer any questions we had. Apartment is in poor condition. The kitchen pans and utensils were poor quality and very used. The suite was not clean and needs some TLC. Beds were not comfortable, furniture was broken and falling apart. I would not recommend this location!

This property generally worked well for us. The host was very nice and helpful. The double bed really was just a double, so one of us slept on the couch. Our main complaint was “city view”. I thought that meant a view - it was just straight in to the building across the narrow street. It’s really no view at all. Building is strange - some abandoned rooms. One room that seems to open up to a cave / dark dirt place behind. Pictures showed some sort of outdoor patio, but we never found that.

Cons- The family accomodation not suitable for more than 4 people with a max of 2 adults per stay.
The towels were tiny, they were only big enough to wrap around my 5 year old son. The lift in the building was tiny and only big enough for 2 people.

Pro-The apartment was easily accessible and the communication was excellent. The supermarkets were the next to the apartment which was great. The walk to the city was easy and close.

I was a little skeptical about this property after reading some bad reviews but it was an awesome place to stay. It had 2 separate bedrooms which was perfect for 4 people, it had a living area for us to sit and play cards and a kitchen. The grocery store was right across the street so we could pick up sandwiches, snacks and drinks for our daily adventures. My only two pieces of constructive criticism are, put a what’s up phone number outside on the box because lots of people done have data plans and can’t make phone calls and put a mirror somewhere close to a plug in, in the bedrooms. As a woman it’s very hard to use a straightener or blow dryer without a mirror close by and I couldn’t find a plug in the bathroom.

We stayed one night in transit to France. We loved the location- it was central to the old town. A bit hard to find so I had to call to have the reception come out and meet us. As with all European cities, parking is tough, but we found a garage. The hotel has a small kitchen, one bathroom and two bedrooms. My only thought is there is no air conditioning and two fans. It was pretty hot in the unit. They have Apple TV, but nothing you can really watch. At first I was apprehensive because right by the front door I entered upon arrival to go to the unit, the smelly garbage bins are right there. With the heat, the smell was pretty ripe. Spending one night there was fine, but if we needed to stay longer, that might have been tough for two adults and three kids with no air and one small bathroom.

No charm of Lucerne, an old apartment complex.

I think we were spoiled by the bookings in the smaller quiet towns during our trip. We didn't like the hustle and bustle of the location, except that it was close to our destination while we were there. It looked and felt like an old apartment complex, as the name of the listing did indicate. No offense, but we didn't connect with this place and it felt like a prison to us. If you want a place to stay that is around the hustle and bustle of central Lucerne, this would work, but if you're looking for charm and warmth during your stay, look elsewhere. The shower was missing a curtain so the water would splash all over the bathroom floor. Faucet handle in the bathroom was about to fall off. We had to pay for overnight parking about a 5 minute walk away from the apartment. Like I said, Galaxy Apartments can serve a purpose for your stay, but not what we were looking for.

The unit was not only very clean, but we later discovered our unit was infested with ants. We initially discovered a few in the kitchen, and a staff member did come by with a chemical spray to kill them. Because it was in the kitchen area we were worried about the chemicals so we had the staff leave the sprayer so we could do it ourselves. Unfortunately, we didn't realize there was also an ants nest in the living room. So the two people sleeping on the sofa beds in the living room woke up to multiple ant bites. With further inspection, we discovered ants were actually EVERYWHERE even all over the beds.

When we booked on Expedia the booking clearly indicated that it was a stay for 8 people, but when we got the receipt from the host it somehow indicated the price was only for 4 people. We tried to call the host to clarify that we had 8 people, we called many times and left multiple messages, but heard nothing back. They finally responded on the day of check in, where they asked for an extra Swiss Franc for the extra people and city tax.
Overall, we had a terrible experience living here and would NOT recommend others to stay here unless you want to come out with ant bites and bad customer service.

Parking is difficult on the streets and garage nearby expensive. This should be better clarified on the advertisement.

The towels in the bathroom were very small (~30cm x 60cm). Something to improve.

Otherwise the apartment was clean and well located at a walking distance of old town Lucerne. We enjoyed our stay.
The person whom we communicated was very responsive via WhatsApp.

3 Days in Lucerne

We were met and escorted to accommodation very quickly upon contact. Accommodation was clean and sufficient for our needs. Requests for assistance were fulfilled quickly. Location close to Old Town meant we could walk everywhere. Kitchen facilities allowed us to relax and eat in if desired.
Enjoyed our stay and would recommend Galaxy to others.

Hay una construcción al lado del apartamento que nos dieron. Tuvimos suerte de quedarnos solo un día, porque desde las 7am empezaba a trabajar la máquina para cargar camiones. Habían muchas hormigas en el apartamento y la cocina no tenía un olor agradable. El ingreso muy sucio, y los apartamentos para entrar a la propiedad con cosas afuera como zapatos y demás. The apartment is located near central Lucern, walking distance to Chapel Bridge and Lion Monument. Street parking is limited but there are a couple of public carpark close by. Staff is friendly and check in has been smooth. Good value for accommodation in central Lucern.

This apartment was spacious and close to public transportation. We could easily walk to old town and Lake Lucerne. The property needs a lot of upgrades such as dishwasher which the soap dispenser was broken, dining table needs to be replaced, no washer/dryer, better quality of pillows and the elevator was so small which could not accommodate three of us with luggage.

The room was clean and had all the necessities. The kitchen had silverware, plates, pots, pans, and an espresso machine. The bathroom was clean, and the tub was spacious. The bed was comfortable. However, the pull-out bed was uncomfortable and tilted to one side.
Additionally, customer service was terrific. They even do your laundry. Overall, I loved my stay here.

Overall it got the job done and is one of the cheapest options in Lucerne for a large group so I can't really complain.

That being said, one room smelled faintly of smoke, and the shower drained very slowly.

Also, the check in process was a mess and we had to wait a long time in the hallway for the owner to bring the keys despite communicating our arrival time up front.

Was a little disappointed with the room.
1. Suppose to be smoking less room. And the room smelled as if it was smoked in for years. We asked about the smell, and was handed a bottle of air fresher. Even after leaving the window all

2. Kitchen light was broken. We told the attending and was told she was send someone to fix it next day, but no one came to fix before we checked out.

A lot to be desired

Garbage cans stinking by the front door. Hall light not working, making it dark and hard to see the door to unlock it. The elevator is barely large enough for 2 people to squeeze into. No pillow case; missing pan lid, bad internet, kitchen tiny and run down, barely enough kitchenware to make a meal. Run down, really barely acceptable. Would not recommend and would not return.
