I stayed at Hotel Kunsthof in Vienna for 5 nights and overall had a very pleasant experience.

I would especially like to highlight Noah at the front desk. He was truly outstanding and made my stay feel welcoming and personal. Noah helped me arrange a taxi for a very early morning airport transfer at 3:00 am, explained the expected cost in advance, and made sure the taxi was waiting exactly on time.

Throughout my stay, he was incredibly kind and attentive. He brought me coffee in the evening, took time to talk, shared local recommendations, and helped me discover places I would not have found on my own. His professionalism, warmth, and ability to genuinely connect with guests are exceptional. He truly understands hospitality and would absolutely deserve a promotion or a leadership role.

The hotel also has a very beautiful backyard. Even in winter it looks charming and peaceful. During breakfast, a lovely staff member named Evgeniya, who was serving coffee, mentioned that in summer the courtyard becomes even more beautiful, full of greenery with outdoor seating. It definitely made me want to return during a warmer season.

Breakfast was very good. I appreciated the flexibility of purchasing it as an option rather than being tied to a fixed schedule. The selection of cheeses, cold cuts, bread, scrambled eggs, and coffee was excellent. The bread was especially delicious, and the cappuccino was surprisingly good for a machine made coffee.

The hotel was good clean and close to train station and easy to get into central London. They let me check in early. Single room is small but enough for one person. The sounds isolation was bad as one can hear people walking loud, slamming doors and moving around. Other than that the hotel is a good value for money

I booked a superior single room, but above the head side of the bed there’s a wall, which means I can not sit on the bed and if I wake up suddenly without minding my head it will definitely hit my head on the wall. The reception not willing to change the room saying there’s no other Available rooms. Stayed only 2 nights and only for 2 nights I managed to not to hit my head.

Very good budget option in Vienna's second district. It's a 10 minute walk from the Praterstern station and about a 30 minute walk from many of the tourist attractions in the city centre. The Augarten is nice and close, as are plenty of good cafes, bars, and restaurants

The property, although older and not of a 4 or 5 star hotel rating, was Immaculately clean with staff who cared and were helpful. Rooms were serviced daily.
The location was safe and 4 short Underground stops from the centre of Vienna with places of interest being easily reachable.
The local area has many reasonably priced eateries.
Transport was excellent as Praterstern station (a 7 minute walk from the hotel) is a main transport hub for Underground, train (including airport link), bus and tram services.
Noise from these services could not be heard from the property.

Agree with some comments from other travellers. Pillows were lumpy, wifi was horrible in the room and was hard to plan travel for the next day without paying for data or going to the lobby, rooms were outdated and looked worn. Mornings were loud and you would get woken up by slamming doors. Service was decent. I guess we went at a busy time because the place was pretty expensive when we went for a very subpar experience. Location was good in a safe feeling neighbourhood.

The hotel room was spacious and had many places to hold our travel bags and shopping bags. The bathroom was spotless and updated, but didn’t have a hook for the sprayer, which meant an awkward, sit-down shower in the tub. Great breakfast, great service. Was a little further away from the attractions than we were used to but all attractions were easy to get to by public transportation. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was vey nice and the staff was excellent. The breakfast was great! The only downside was that the AC in my room was broken and it was quite warm even with the provided fans. Also one of the rooms (we had 3) had a tub with only a handheld shower head so no easy way to shower.

Overall everything was okay. Yet we had an issue during check in since our reservation could not be found and instead of double room we got twin.

The room is spacious yet missing some essentials like tea-set, the furniture is somewhat weary and might be renovaited. Yet bathroom.was really nice.

The biggest concern we had was about our bikes -we asked the staff if it is possible to store them somewhere inside and were refused. Yet we were surprised the next morning when we spotted an empty bicycle rack right in the inner yard where it would be just perfect.

All in all stay was enjoyable and location is perfect if you are aiming for prater

Nicely decorated hotel. Except a small hiccup prior to arrival, which was largely due to an Expedia issue rather than a hotel issue, the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The location is excellent. The daily house keeping was really good. The only little minus is that they were re-doing some hotel rooms near my room and you could hear the work going on - but no sounds during night and they need to be able to complete maintenance at some point. Good shower and air conditioning. Comfortable bed. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Will stay again.

Kunsthof is a cute place in a more quiet part of Vienna. Close to Transit, an easy starting point for the day to explore the city or walk over to prater. Breakfast was excellent, worth the money -we barely needed lunch!

Location is near Prater train station. Rooms are small and in need of renovation. There was no AC in our room- so only option was to open the window - which opened to a lovely courtyard. However when groups of people are sitting in the courtyard drinking - it is quite noisy.

Loved the location, close to s nahn and u bahn. Building is lovely, loved the courtyard for fresh air and looking different, with nice christmas tree. Art inside is interesting and unique.
Breakfast was nice , perhaps some fresh fruit to put into muesli would be nice. The grapes were not as fresh as could be. But the rest was tasty and fresh.
I have already recommended the hotel and my son will come and try it out too, as a frequent traveller.

First they gave us the wrong room (a room for 1 person, we were 2), after complaining they exchanged it. The new room was OK, nothing crazy nothing bad, decent size, wifi working well,etc. Unfortunately, the room was not cleaned not even once, and we were there for 4 days!!!! Their \"excuse\" was that because of corona they are not cleaning as much as usual. But especially because of corona they should clean the rooms more frequently! Another bad thing is that you have to leave the key in the front door every time you leave the hotel! Since there is only one person working at the same time, you have to wait before leaving and once you are back, just for having your keys back. The location is not great, unless you are keen about visiting the Prater. But for everything else you need to use public transportation the entire time!

Everything was clean and the staff were friendly. However, the room and amenities were basic. The bedding wasn't particularly comfortable and the room had no amenities like a kettle to make your own hot drinks. Very basic toiletries, there was only one gel for hair and body and that was it.

Overall everything was ok and the hotel is in a good location. The staff were friendly but could offer to talk to you about the city and suggest local attractions, places to eat etc. It's always nice to ask a guest if it's their first time to the city and suggest what to do and see. At least ask if a guest would like any tips or advice. Also, when I checked out no one asked if I had enjoyed my stay. That is a basic question to ask when a guest is leaving. I also think that breakfast should be complimentary.

I stayed twice, in 2 different rooms, having had a weekend away in between. First I had a budget room, which was very small and basic; it was OK but in the attic and lacked even a hair drier in the room. Next, I upgraded to have a room with a bath, which was a little bigger and fine for my needs. Breakfast was OK, but only OK, no fresh fruit salad or hot food, but a good selection of cheeses, ham, etc.

Great location!

The hotel staff was polite, courteous, and overall wonderful. The breakfast had some great options thought maybe if you’re just eating yoghurt in the morning, it might not be worth the extra money. The hotel itself was old but well maintained. The carpets could have been cleaner. he location was excellent! Very close to the S and the U stations. There were also a couple of restaurants near it but not many options.

There is NO SHUTTLE. You must take a cab (They will call it for you)
It is 36 Euro one way. (Total was more than my hotel bill!!!)

Excellent proximity to train station and underground where you can go every where . Remember to get the travel card . The 4 days is th same cost as 1week.
Bed sheet is of high quality cotton, very smooth.
Due to the age of the building, the room is quite small. One side of the bed is next to the wall. Apart from that the cleanliness is very good.
There is no water boiler, no free drinking water. Be prepared to get from the Billa supermarket at the train station.

The hotel is nice and close to the train station which was great. Unfortunately, when booking our room the image on the website did not match the type of room we were actually booking. As a result we ended up accidentally booking two small single beds instead of a double, not ideal when travelling with a partner. I felt mislead. What made the situation even worse was the room was in a poor condition with floor stains and water damage to the walls. The TV couldn’t pick up any English channels, the walls were paper thin and the service at breakfast was a little slow. It was a brilliant trip so we just spent as little time as we could in the hotel.
