We just stay for one night. Firstly, the lift did not work from the ground level to the reception. Although there are just about 15 steps of the stair, it is still very in convenient for people with large luggage. The most terrible thing is there was no cold water in our room. It was hard to get cold drinking water and for short.

This hotel is near a grocery store and a few restaurants and as well as a metro station, which was convenient. The rooms and bathroom are a bit on the smaller side but it was fine for two people.Breakfaat was good.

I enjoyed 2-nights stay. The staff(s) were friendly and helpful, the room was nice, and the location was convenient for travelers. The only problem was that two or three young locals were talking loudly behind the hotel at 1am.

Simple hotel, close to public transport & a short ride to the main attractions. Good place to sleep & provides the basics without a lot of frills. The breakfast buffet is a bit overpriced for what you get. Note this is not close to many food options so plan ahead as the bar snacks are not great quality.

The staff is super accommodating and friendly & the hotel is located in a safe area.

Comfortable and affordable hotel conveniently located near the Messe Wien conference center and a number of restaurants and attractions. The buffet-style breakfast had all the essentials, plus a selection of very good breads and pastries. Cleanliness in the room itself could be improved in a few small ways - for instance, there was some staining on the tile grout in the shower - but nothing major.

Expected a lot more modern hotel by ibis standards. It is right next to the ibis budget hotel and I do wonder if this is considered the standard ibis hotel, just how budget the budget hotel must be.

I can’t complain at the service or the cleanliness of the hotel and it is in a good location. Bed was comfortable.

If you can get the hotel for a cheap rate then fantastic but it is in dire need of a refresh. They would benefit massively if they spent the money to redecorate the rooms and the hallways.

DO NOT STAY HERE! We checked in and the door lock immediately did not work well. The door was very loose and shaky and from the inside it felt that it was not securely closed. Then, once we exited the room the lock would not open! We were locked outside of the room even though the door blinked green. The hotel desk clerk had to assist us and experienced the same problem, although the door would sporadically open.

The desk clerk refused to put us in a different room for the night saying the only possible solution was to ask a \"technician\" to look at the door - which was not sufficient as we wanted it fixed, not looked at.

The hotel itself felt cold and unwelcoming. The rooms and hallways are extremely bare giving the hotel the feeling of a dorm or hostel. There is no warm ambiance and it felt a little creepy. We did not feel safe in this hotel. I have stayed in ibis before in another city and it was nowhere at all like this terrible experience.

We checked out only 1 hour after checking in and went elsewhere to a different hotel locally. The desk clerk refused to offer us a refund.

Let’s get things into perspective. If you’re looking for a plush hotel to spend a week or more in then this one might not be for you.

For me however, this was ideal. I came for a 2 night stop in Vienna so I could do the parkrun and a little touristy stuff!

The train from the airport to praterstern cost €4.30 (£3.20) and was around 25 minutes. The hotel is just a 5-10 minute walk from the station.

For those here for the parkrun, it approx 3km away. Easy walking/jogging distance across the Danube.

For tourists to the city centre, it is 4km to the Hofburg palace, a little shorter for St stephens cathedral but a nice straightforward easy walk.

As for the amenities, it’s a budget hotel! I read some strange reviews on here but I found my room clean and tidy. I traveled alone so had one duvet on the bed. It’s not big enough for 2 but if you look carefully there is a second one available in the wardrobe along with pillows.

If I had to be really picky there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and no electrical sockets by the bed.

The bed itself was comfortable and I slept really well - maybe it was all the walking and fresh air!

Breakfast is a continental buffet. I had to pay the €15 but you won’t go hungry.

Staff were friendly and helpful, especially when checking in at 11:55pm!

All in all a nice stay, thank you Vienna!

I stayed for a week at the IBIS on business, the rooms are of a good size and comfortable and I had no problem working in the room using the desk. Breakfast is a little limited but plentiful, and being able to get a drink in the evening was a bonus. The main train station of Praterstern is five minutes walk, which acts as a Tram terminus and bus stop. Several good value restaurants within 5 minutes - recommended. If it had a kettle or safe I would have added an extra star

It was definitely nice overall. Don’t expect too much. Clean and comfortable though. The room is spacious. The area around it has nothing much, but it’s near the Praterstern U-bahn station so it is very convenient to head to the city center (e.g. Stephansplatz or volkstheater area). The staff was very nice, one of them helped me book a cab last minute and they’re very nice and helpful people. Overall good stay

Great on a budget

The hotel had most of the basic needs. Clean and great location near to the tube and train. i recommend it if you want to escape the noise of the main city ..easy access into most of the touristy places and couldnt fault the hotel.

Pleasant hotel within short commuting from center

This Ibis is conveniently located just five minutes away from the Underground station. It has a nice restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner. The staff and service were very good. We missed a few features that are standard for similar hotels such as a cofee machine, fridge and micowave.

Hotel was decent and the location pretty good. If you are NOT looking for something in the city center and are in Wien for business you have a good location. Staff looked confused, some spoke poor English and poor German as well. Paying an additional breakfast was a constant pain. Room was clean and decent in size.

Stayed at Ibis Wien Messe for a couple of nights while in Vienna for a football match. Rooms are clean and spacious, bar / seating area is perfectly fine and the breakfast is OK (although I really didn't appreciate being chased around the breakfast area for payment, that was unnecessary). Overall though, recommended as a very good value hotel for visiting Vienna. Location is good, 2 minute walk to the subway station and only a couple of stops from the city centre, no more than 5 minutes.

Solid basic hotel but with terrible WiFi

I have nothing bad to say about the hotel or the room, they were just as I expected from ibis, simple but clean and functional. However, I downgraded my review by one star because of the outrageously slow and malfunctioning hotel WiFi. The room price was more than double the standard rate due to a large conference taking place at Wien Messe, but despite that I had a WiFi experience that was akin to using a telephone modem to connect to the internet some 20 years ago. Not only was it unbearably slow, but it also broke every few minutes and then took another few minutes before it was back. When connecting to the network there was an option to pay extra for a \"Premium\" connection speed, which I did, but there was absolutely no difference in connection quality so it was a complete waste of money. It's especially disappointing since nowadays every cafe, airport or any other venue have a free and fast WiFi. The hotel management should do something about it.

Great rate for a place to sleep and unpack.
We don't spend much time in the hotel.
Good breakfast for a small charge.
Quite neighborhood.
Decent sized rooms, not the best bed, but ok.
Not a 5 star, obviously, but a clean, safe bet.
If you have a \"bourgy\" attitude, you may want to pass.
It's just a nice hotel.

The location is one stop away(opposite to the stephanplat) from Prater where u can hang around with lots of the ride. But it is too quiet and dark near hotel area from the Prater after sunset so that it makes me a little bit scared.
The room is clean and cozy but no minibar/fridge in the room which i did not check when I made a reservation.

This is my second stay at the ibis hotel chain (first one was in Berlin) and I couldn't be more pleased. As usual every staff member was super nice, the lobby and cafeteria areas looked clean, modern and inviting, the room as clean and comfortable. This is really a great value for the price!

I traveled to Vienna for business and stayed at the Ibis Wien Messe for 3 nights. It was a nice clean room and the breakfast had a satisfying variety for everyone. It's also located between 2 tube stations that makes traveling around the city easy. If you're looking for a short convenient stay this hotel will do just fine. Would use it again.

The room is tidy and clean, bed and sofa are comfortable. Staff is nice and helpful, eg I keep my lugguage at hotel for couple of hours after check out, they were willing to help. Location is a little bit far from the railway station but acceptable for the price. Quite quiet after 9pm nearby. The room can be improved by adding some features like ventilating fan in toilet, electronic boiling water pot, rubbish bin inside the room.

Ibis Hotels Geoblock Against USA Citizens.

Ibis Hotels in the European Union have engaged in deceptive practices since I first encountered them in 2012.
Geoblocking is a practice used by businesses in the European Union to block internet access based on \"machine country of purchase\".
Both Ibis En Masse and Ibis Budget employ Geoblocking. In my case being a citizen of the United States of America I was denied internet access, advertived as free, because of my country of origin. In this case the hotel router, m3connect, detected my MBP's MAC number, resolved it to indicate USA and passed that onto the Ibis server, portal.m3connect.de in Germany, where access was denied because I am not an EU citizen and the MBP was not purchased in an EU country.
Therefore I will not recommend Ibis.

Clean simple business hotel. Great feature is the wooden floor. I rate negatively the unavailability of a bar of soap. I hate the sticky squidgy liquids that you to rinse for ever to get rid of a slimy skin feeling.
The stairs access to the garage is bizarre - you always have to go up and down or down and up...... Leaving the garage you either see no signs for the hotel entry, or you see several marked doors - again up, and down...... and you don't know which witch is which...
