Our stay at Motel One Wien-Prater was excellent. The location was ideal. It was just steps from public transportation, which made getting to and from the airport incredibly easy. We often chose to walk into the city centre, but it was great to have the metro right there whenever we needed it.

The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with everything we needed. Breakfast each morning was a highlight. It was delicious, fresh, and a perfect way to start the day.

Contemporary hotel with very spacious and clean rooms. A little bit out of the city centre but only a short bike ride away. Also just a short walk to a main train station. Right by the fairground park which has a good beer garden. The hotel has a lovely, large outdoor seating area itself.

Stay was fine, unfortunately the area around the praterstern train station is rough particularly in evening/ weekends. It does get better towards the hotel and there is a closer station you can use that is smaller/ cleaner.

The breakfast was fine, maybe slightly slim selection for what you pay for but acceptable. The air conditioner did not work and the explanation was that they only turn it on in summer which was silly.

One night enough

Visit to a concert, riding school, palace. 3 nights. Hotel seemed okay from description. 10% for facilities - nothing in the cold room, not even a spare blanket. No soap, no phone, nothing.
20% comfort. Aircon worked but periodically blasted cold air room 489. Shower just worked but no power. No restaurant.
Staff were all very helpful. BUT got the taxi price wrong both occasions. 42 euros airport rate. Nope, it’s 60 euros. Would have caught the train had we known.

This is a no frills hotel. Rooms are very compact, no coffee, no fridge, no laundry, wifi is awful. The area is great and easy walk to Ernst Happel. I suppose we would stay again if we needed to. The beds were very comfortable. Not sure the deadbolt worked and and no peephole.

We chose a hotel a little out of the city to save some money and to be honest it didn’t ruin our Vienna experience at all. This hotel is a 2min walk from an underground/subway station which connected us to the city within about 15 mins depending on the time of day. I think we would have wanted to stay closer to the city had we been in Vienna for more than 1 night. Hotel bar was open late too so we enjoyed a drink there as a night cap before a great nights sleep.

Beautiful n Chic boutique hotel. Very tastefully done. Staff is really helpful n warm.
Few meters from the transit, 3 stops to city centre.
Rooms are specious but washroom is bit small but works well.
Vicky is a rockstar, she made us amazing drinks.

Only thing we missed there is No restaurant in the hotel.

Not as good as they think they are

One of those chain hotels that thinks it's better than it is. Very expensive bar with zero atmosphere. No room service no mini-bar, no drink making facilities and no free bottled water suggests they want you to use the bar. Did not take the breakfast as there is an excellent McDonald's nearby where you could feed a family of four for the same price. Expensive to stay considering it's a 40 minute walk to town. I shall certainly avoid this chain in the future.

New, modern, very pleasant hotel. However, it lacked some basic amenities that would have made my stay more comfortable e.g. tea and coffee making facilities, an iron, a glass for water (only a paper cup supplied), a chair instead of stool to sit at the work table. It was a very short walk to the conference centre. Breakfast was over priced for the poor selection.

Very good overall. Stylish, clean hotel, friendly staff. On the downside, didn’t have a good night sleep the first night as there was a dip in the mattress, flipped it over for the remainder of the stay and slept well. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

“Motel” is a misnomer. This is a modern and classy hotel. It is conveniently located, right next to the Messe-Prater train station. The room I stayed in was spacious and clean. The staff (front desk, lounge) were exceptionally friendly and solicitous as well. I actually extended my stay at this hotel one more night. Highly recommended, for solo travelers and families alike.

The best motel I have ever seen. It was spacious with artful design, the food and coffee are great where you can enjoy it in the colorful spacious lobby. I was enjoying a book with coffee every night in that lobby, great experience. The location is very convieniant, all services (pharmacy, grocery, barbers, restaurants) are nearby, quiet area and next to a metro line.
In addition, you can enjoy the walk in nature in small forest just 10 minutes away walking. If you love nature and quiet places this is for you. If you are looking for parties and city life, I don't reccomend it.
One thing to keep in mind is that they don't have safe guards, no closet (but they have hangers), and no phone inside the room.
Otherwise, the staff is very friendly and the place is great for your stay.

Wonderful experience for what I was looking for. Very easy access to the subway Messe Prater or Praterstern and very very close to the University. Located close to the amusement park which is pretty to see at night! The staff are very helpful and smiling, the breakfasts are good and the lounge is great for a drink in the evening. Amenities in the rooms are minimal but that is fine. Was not looking for a luxurious hotel so it was perfect for my needs. And the internet / wifi works well. No spottiness which is great!!

Nice hotel but could use a couple of extras

The hotel was a welcome refuge in -10 degree temperatures with a lovely warm and welcoming lobby stuffed with designer furniture, people and a nice atmosphere. Location is great for Mien Wiesse conference and expo centre and it's right between a metro and a train station so convenient for the airport and the city centre. Staff were really helpful and rooms were really comfy and well laid out with lovely bathrooms.

However - as a frequent traveler I could really have used easy access to an iron or ironing room (it wasn't obvious if this was available and reception was busy so I just had to look a bit crumpled despite steaming everything in the bathroom). I'd kill for some level of consistency on whether hotels have kettles in the room. The bar only served toasties and crisps/nuts with limited food choices nearby. As a solo female traveler, I like to have the option to eat in the hotel and work in my room with a nice brew so these things really let it down for me personally.

Nice hotel, good value and conveniently located

We stayed here to be close to the University of Economics and Business which was a stones throw away. It was easy to get to from the Airport using the City Airport Train (CAT) into town and then the underground to Messe Prater Tube Station which is right outside the hotel. The close location of the tube station meant it was also perfect to get in and out of the centre of town.
The hotel is clean, modern and smart, the staff pleasant and attentive. The longe area is comfortable and doubles as a breakfast area in addition to the main dining area giving you a choice of where to eat breakfast. Breakfast itself was good value, with a varied selection to choose from that should suit most tastes. The bar had a comprehensive gin selection in addition to the usual choices and the bar staff were friendly and willing to help and advise. The only drawback was that you were unable to charge drinks to your room.
The room was bright and clean, the bathroom was fine also. There are no tea/coffee facilities in the room or a telephone to reception, which whilst unusual was not a problem for us. A nice touch in the middle of the cold snap we experienced was the log fire showing on the TV which did make you feel a little more cosy.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, the Motel One was a good base and would definitely use again if we are back in Vienna

Absolutely perfect hotel for our little weekend away. We were mainly in Vienna for the Weiner Prater which is literally next to the hotel. There are two underground stations near the hotel which can get you to several of the main train stations. The hotel felt really new and modern and extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable and I got a great night of sleep. Considering you've got a large amusement park outside the room the window manages to keep all sound out of the room which we found to be a rather small miracle. Everything about this hotel was just faultless.

This was my first trip to Vienna and I felt the Motel One-Prater was a perfect location. The Messe-Prater U-Bahn is literally steps away. The larger Praterstern Station (including a grocery market and travel agent) is only 10 minutes walk. The Big Bus Tour has a stop only 5 minutes walk away from the hotel.

There is a cozy and larger lobby area and a small room off to the side where I was able to easily hold a meeting with 5 other people.

I would suggest this hotel to friends.

Front desk very nice and professional. Never tried the breakfast. Convenient location. One of the only reasonably-priced hotels I saw in Vienna with air-conditioning.
Unfortunately room cleaning/turndown service not so good. Never came on Sunday, not sure if that's normal or not, being Austria. Took three days before they changed the duvet cover (there was a cigarette burn on the edge, so I was hoping it would be changed sooner and could tell that it was not). Since towels not getting changed is now normal, I guess all they were entering my room to do was fold the bed cover and replace the shower gel.

Locals using the hotel to escape a Heatwave

My wife and I couldn't take the summer heat in Vienna anymore so we booked a room for three nights. We choose it because it was very close to our flat and had A/C and very good room rates. I paid a little extra for the balcony and so glad I did, the view was great. (see my photos)

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vienna. It is under two years old. It is in a great location, right next to Prater (Vienna's version of Central Park and amusement park) It is also right next to a underground station, from which you can get just about anywhere you would want in the city in minutes.

The room was a nice size, the King size bed was perfect, firm but a little soft to sink right in. Even though we where right next to the amusement part of the park, with the balcony door closed you could not hear anything thanks to the double glazed windows.

The Internet speeds where good, I did multiple tests over the three days and consistently hit over 10mbs, more than fast enough for streaming anything. You get a user name and password at check-in and it is good for three devices. If you need to connect more just ask the front desk and they will give you a second login.

The TV takes USB or HDMI connections just use button ZERO on the remote to change inputs. (Took me and the hotel tech guy 10 min to figure this out.) So you can connect your laptop of game system if needed. However there are no free power sockets near the TV

Staff are really good, it's a trendy hotel and if you go for breakfast when it's busy you will end up on the trendy but very low seating next to reception. Air con was not very good but the room an hotel overall was clean. We took a taxi into town which cost €12 into town and €15 to get back. The hotel is right next to a casino and fun park but we didn't hear anything noise wise when we were in our room facing the main road.

A very positive surprise

Forget this has \"motel\" in its name. It is really a great value for money, newly built with good rooms, very clean and nice furniture, simple yet functional. Had all the basics and was really quite good. Had only one thing I did not like and it was the smell of the showergel-shampoo - so really no complaints! I stayed on an extra 2 days for leisure so a total of 5 nights in the hotel. Really great!
