Quirky stylish hotel - yes they will lend you an electric guitar.
Staff very friendly and helpful (local knowledge) breakfast superb.

Clean, stylish, quiet. The only negative (and I'm nitpicking here) is that the room could've done with more storage, such as drawers. We were in a loft room, with plenty of space for a larger wardrobe or chest of drawers. It would've also been nice to have a fridge and kettle in the room but we managed fine with the free tea/coffee on the 5th floor.

We didn’t add the (very expensive) breakfast. The roof was clean and adequate but very cramped. The shower is a giant open glass box in the middle of the room and it was quite a hike to our room. My biggest dislike is the total lack of service. The “self checkin” is a pain in the butt and when I wrote ahead for some advice on getting there from the airport got a canned answer that they don’t offer that service- absolutely not what I asked. The bar also had an outrageously loud DJ playing awful techno on Friday night. Otherwise, loved the location and the new Lebanese restaurant on the ground floor was wonderful.

Staff are excellent cooperative supportive I got 2 drink for free in two days as well.
Massive room with excellent shower room inside and lovely soaps and shampoo!
However, the room did contain nothing, no tea or coffee makers! to get any drink have to go to the reception!
No phone on the room
No noise isolation, I used to awake up every night from massive noise from parties

The staff was very nice! I forgot his name, I think he was the leader there, He was nice to us as we complained about the bathroom's plumbing was smell so bath. He tried to supports with odor spay and gave my room guess chocolates. Although, when I left after 2 nights, I handed to the young man at the reception at the time - a different person, the 2 post cards with stamp already and asked him if he could drop to mail to back to USA as I head to Croatia. Both my siters and friend at architect firm never got it. He could have been lost it or never paid attention to it. Just very unfortunately.

within walking distance to Landstraße City Airport Train and S-Bahn/U-Bahn. However the room is extremely small and have no view at all (by no view it means the windows are blocked) The design of walk-in shower is transparent (made with glass) and can be seen from the sleeping area, which my friend and I feel super embarrassed when using it. And if you are of bigger size, don’t even think of using the walk-in shower. It is just a small cubicle and it only has a lil gap from the door for you to get in.
The location of the reception is weird too. It locates on the 2nd floor where it is also a bar restaurant. What makes it worse is: there are some staircases going downwards to the reception. This is very inconvenient for travellers w/luggage but if you are only with a backpack you would be fine.
The pricing for our stay is around €200/night. It is on a Saturday but it is not worth for the €200. Would avoid this hotel if I were you.

War bereits das zweite Mal da, denke es wird leider kein drittes Mal mehr. Es gibt viele Kleinigkeiten die zu Reparieren sind und was extrem stört ist der sehr starke Kanalgeruch aus dem Abfluss von Dusche und WC. War in beiden Zimmern so. Würde ich nicht mehr buchen. Leider. Sonst Restaurant und Frühstück und auch Lage sind sehr gut.

This is a great base for exploring Vienna with Wien Mitte just up the road to get you pretty much anywhere. Direct train from the airport on the CAT. Really friendly staff. Good shower. Compact room but not too small. An interesting hotel with a huge ornate concert room in the middle of it.

Ruby Sofie Hotel in Vienna has a fascinating history! Originally built as a bathhouse, it was later transformed into a concert hall due to its outstanding acoustics. Over the years, it hosted performances by legends like Johann Strauss and even The Kinks.
Today, the hotel blends vintage furnishings with modern stage lighting, creating a unique atmosphere. It offers soundproofed rooms, rain showers, and aromatherapy products for relaxation. The bar is open 24/7, serving cocktails and regional specialities, often accompanied by live music from local artists.
Its location is also a highlight—near the Danube Canal and Ringstrasse boulevard, just an eight-minute walk from Wien Mitte railway station. Sounds like a place with character.
At that moment, everything was perfect, with nothing to complain about.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location was perfect; just a short walk from the train station and about 20 minutes to Stephansplatz, making it easy to explore the city. The rooms were spotless, and I appreciated the attention to cleanliness throughout the hotel. The staff, especially Juls, went above and beyond, always friendly and eager to help with any questions. We stayed here for two nights, the place was clean and had a unique , old Austrian ambiance to it. A convenient location. The staff goes above and beyond to help you. Henrik was very nice in directing us to different, more convenient ,transportation option for our next trip. The breakfast was very nice, they had hard and soft boiled eggs, an assortment of baked goods and breads, an assortment of jams yogurts ,cheeses ,cold cuts and drinks hot and cold. They even offered us a free alcoholic drink. We would love to come back.

Maybe it would have been cooler to stay in inner steady, but for the price and a quick Uber, you are right there. When back in Vienna I will stay here again

Boutique style hotel with a few quirks

Loft room was roomy and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall an excellent 3 night stay in a convenient location. Slight issue with quirky batroom arrangement. Perspex panels with rubber seals that are in need of updating, toilet door wouldn't shut properly and shower cubicle leaked. Not great for privacy, good job we've been married a long time!

This was a great hotel and I would recommend it very much for couples, or solo travelers as the shower is glass and part of it doesn't have a curtain to close it for privacy. The breakfast was good and the design is hip and young. The only thing that refrained me to put 5-stars is that it is at 10-minutes walk from the nearest metro station which is very important for me.

Brilliant stay, rooms really clean and spacious, great amenities with all you need provided. Safe included in room which is always a plus. Hotel staff really friendly and do great pizzas 24-7! We had one every night :D
Easily walkable to any attraction and main train station just a 8 minute walk away. They even have a free coffee/tea making station next to the rooftop terrace, makes early mornings easy! We have been to over 15 countries the last few years and can say this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. I’d recommend to anyone looking for a clean, friendly, quiet and affordable hotel right in near all main tourist attractions.

Clean, contemporary hotel with very helpful staff. The bar is a great place to grab a drink before heading out and they are always open. The room price was reasonable and the rooms were clean and nice. But remember very contemporary so keep that in mind. Older travelers may not like the low beds and lack of dresser.

It was a bit further of a walk to the city center than we thought. About 15 mins if you're walking at a good pace. But a major train station is nearby so that helps. The Vienna subway is easy to use.

We booked two rooms forc4 adults. They gave us a smaller room than what we booked. We made them correct that issue. The reason we selected this hotel was we searched for rooms with air conditioning and private bathrooms. First night the Air did not work. We could not breathe. They apologized and stated the system was broke and it eas being corrected. Ok we figured this could happen anywhere. On night 2 the air conditioning was so low - it’s controlled by some major switch. Again none of was was able to sleep. To be honest the lady who ran this place was cheap and knew exactly what she was doing. She never even asked if we had slepted better the second night.
There are so many hotels in Vienna. So when your doing your search skip this one. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone.

the hotel room is amazing with Marshall equipment. The service was good until they were trying to get in and clean hours before the check out time. Also the breakfast was 25 Euros, which is ridiculous, we stayed all over Europe, Zurich, Prague, etc and for that breakfast we paid 10 to 15 Euros and no more, they really get you with that

We chose this hotel while visiting Vienna for a P!NK concert at the Ernst Happel Stadium. We walked to the stadium & back & forth to the centre. Also very close to train station. Lovely, fresh, clean & comfortable rooms complete with toiletries & hair dryer.

Strange things at Ruby Sofie Hotel

Strange things happened to me at Ruby Sofie Hotel Vienna. After I booked, paid 328.5 euros, and also received confirmation of the reservation and payment for the hotel through your app, I arrived at the hotel. The girl at the reception said that there is a reservation, but without payment and if I want the room I have to pay. All my efforts to convince her that I ordered and also paid in advance did not help. Not even when I showed her the payment confirmation. The girl asked me to pay 390 euros. I asked why and she said it was the price. I kept trying to convince her and then she said that if I don't pay 260 euros - I won't get the room. I had no choice and paid. When I asked for a receipt or confirmation of payment I was told that I would only receive it at check out. When I came to check-out and asked for the receipt, I was told by the hotel manager, Monica, that she does see the additional payment, but cannot give me confirmation that I paid. I paid twice for the stay at the hotel and I don't think anyone there takes responsibility for it, Stay a way for your safety and keeping your money!

Best location. close to Wein Mitte, the main train/subway station. Catching the CAT to the airport from there is a breeze. Also there is a mall and big supermarket to get your supplies. catching the #1Tram nearby is also great to the main sites. the area is quiet and nice to leisure walk.
Staff is extremely efficient. surprised the bar is open 24 hour. The breakfast spread has lots of variety, but the only warm item is hard boiled eggs, still very good value.
The \"Lovely\" room we have is comfortable for 2 of us. My only wish is if there one English language TV channel.

We loved our stay at Ruby Sofie! We only spent 1 night there as we were passing through Vienna and wanted to explore the city center. We were able to check in 5hrs earlier and got a free upgrade! The staff was incredibly friendly and we had a great time.

It's super close to a mall, and only about 20mins walking distance to the center so the location worked well for us to walk around one day.
We also had breakfast there and it was delicious, fresh selection.

We had chosen this property for an overnight transfer on our return home to Canada, mainly for its convenient airport transport on the Vienna CAT, and apparently good value. Being pretty tired when we arrived (after a five-minute walk from the CAT), we were delighted to find a quirky and fun hotel, with friendly staff, a bright, modern, large and quiet room, and a good meal presented in short order with no fuss, in the pictured bar-restaurant. Everything worked exactly as it should. This will not be our last trip to Vienna, and we will certainly return to Ruby Sofie. Throughly recommended.

I booked two rooms,( back in March) and was writing with the hotel that one of the rooms will be occupied by two people/ friends ; i know in the description of the hotel says double bed; so I assumed there were two beds; because i keep clarifying there were going to be 2 people in the room and they are friends; when we got there we learned the hotel has only full size beds ( as we describe in USA), and the bathroom / shower is open covered by glass; so my friends were not comfortable, and there was not option get another room that nite; which made my friends uncomfortable, we were tired, we were just arriving from Budapest; we asked at least for refund, but nothing, we were not happy at all.

Location is a close to the CAT but not so close to the Stefansdom area. The room was an upgrade which is nice but still very small. Breakfast was a bit sparse and it appeared that there were very few employees around. I guess it’s what they promote - good basic features With a trendy vibe but Still just basic.

This was a great hotel with a lot of style! The location is only a short walk to the city center and the included breakfast was a nice value add.

I loved how close it was to the city centre, a pleasant 15 minute walk and your right in the centre, or a five minute walk to the subway station, and then just two stops to the centre. The room was very clean, and homely, comfy bed! A supermarket was just round the corner making getting food very accesible.
