Room is clean and location is awesome but the room is too small, no refrigerator or coffe machine, no air conditioner(it was too hot although the window was open all night) no smart tv(regular tv) so it is like a hostel althoug very high price!!!

The staff were simply great and location fine. The room was tiny, mattress rock hard, no fridge/facilities, no English Channel on tv nor ability to put subtitles on. Lighting was not great until discovered another light, no general information made available in room.
Like something out of an old eastern block hotel.

Had an 18 hour layover so went into Vienna and stayed at this location. it is close to the train station and the walking distance to many of the sights in the city. They have coffee and croissants in the morning even when I had to get the early train.

The bed was very comfy, & despite being next to a railway line, the noise was mostly blocked out if the windows were closed! Reception staff (especially the lady) were very helpful. There was an issue with the shower not having a handle for the shower head, and they offered to switch my rooms (which I declined as I was ready to head into Vienna when discussing this with reception) but the offer was nice of them. Also the sink seems to be leaking water on the floor, but not a major issue as long as it is fixed to avoid problems with a wet floor. Would be nice to have a simple tea/coffee set and kettle or atleast water bottles in the bedroom especially given the price, but they are honest about what they provide/don't provide :) the location was really nice, and I recommend Bella Santi around the corner for a lovely Indian (/Italian) dinner and exceptional hosts

It’s very small, but you’re in Vienna. Why would you want to stay in your hotel room?
There are the trains very nearby going to the airport but the sound is minimal.

Centrally located and super close to the U and tram systems. Easy to get to and from.

Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and responded to our requests quickly and without fuss.

Room was interesting. Black faux-flocked vinyl wallpapers with floral pattern is a must for all Goths out there. Water was hot and the jacuzzi in the room a nice addition.

so far every shower head i have experience in Austria fails to maintain a usable angle.

big ceilings and windows to boot. i have no idea howe we're meant to open the top window (the one with the mosquito mesh) without standing very precariously on the bed. The large window opens wide out and the drop 6 storeys down was very frightening. i lived in fear of that window.

despite being a non smoking room the hotel perpetually reeked of stale cigarette smoke.

i'm glad we weren't there on a really hot day as i think the room would have been very stuffy and unpleasant. there is a fan, it was ok. in 35C i think it would have been fairly useless.

the bed was ok. the mattress was not especially supportive, but it was clean and no obvious signs of critters.

pillows were on the soft side, not my jam. the wifi was good and solid. all hotels need to install USB chargers as standard - who cares about a two prong plug these days? give us USB power. no coffee or kettle in the room.

If u arrive in Vienna on a weekend expect all shops, and cafes to be closed. plan accordingly. coffee will be a chore Sunday morning but easy on Monday.

Great location and very helpful & courteous staff

We enjoyed our stay in Vienna and were happy with the location. It is right next to the park that leads to Old Town and you can easily walk rather than take public transport. I’d say a half a mile. We needed guidance to get to Schonbrun and train station as well as numerous questions about the city. All three front desk attendants went out of their way to help us enjoy this fantastic city.

Staff was nice. But it is also a rent by the hour hotel which they are up front about on their website. It kinda grosses you out to think about it when you lay down for the night on the hard as rock futon mattress. The train screeches so loud every few minutes and theres no ac so you have to open the window.

The staff were very helpful, and the room was clean and nicely decorated. I have two minor complaints though. 1. It's near the train station so you can hear the trains even with the windows closed when they leave. 2. the carpet near my bed was really wet when I arrived, I think someone took a shower (which is very close to the bed) and then got water on the carpet.

Check in was very confusing.We had reservation for two nights but a young guy in reception tried to convince us that we had two rooms for one night .Luckily we had printed reservation confirmed by hotel.com. Room was nice, breakfast was with reasonable choices.Location is very convenient for concerts and museums. We asked why is the name Goldene Spinne but reception guy had no clue for answer.When we returned later in the evening, we found a memorial plaque on hotel wall with description. It would be nice for hotel to educate their staff a little bit about history of the place. Overall nice stay.

Very near the station for express train to airport. Had a small room but it would be very difficult to find another room in Vienna cheaper, so well worth the money. Good breakfast. Room very hot, no outside window, would not want to spend several days in that room but would return to hotel for better room.

#1. Hotel in August without an air condition has to close their door. By any standard it’s unacceptable.
#2. They have a smoked salmon for a breakfast, which is disappear after first 2-3 people (4 floor hotel. My guess owners doesn’t know about that. )

El hotel está muy buen ubicado, cerca del centro de Vienna, como a media hora a pie, barato para la zona, está limpio y el desayuno es bueno, el detalle que nadie dice es que es también un hotel de citas, habitaciones con doble puerta, aislantes de ruido, barra de bar en la habitación con menú de bebidas, entre otros detalles similares de la decoración. El taxista quinoa llevó nos dijo que no era un hotel familiar es lo que en México llamamos un motel. Es importante considerarlo pero no me tocó ver nada desagradable. Y el personal es muy amable.

The hotel rents rooms to sex workers. I could barely sleep between 1 and 3 am because of all the noise. Can’t they fake it more quietly or with closed windows? This ruins what is otherwise a nice hotel.

A wonderful city break

The Goldene Spinne is a small hotel located in the center of Vienna, very close to the main attractions (Karlskirche, Naschmarkt, Secesion Building, Vienna State Opera, St. Stephen's Cathedral, Figlmuller Restaurant ...).
The room was very large, clean and warm (I came in a cooler period of the year).
The staff warmly welcomed us and kindly responded to our needs.
For those who have a more sensible sleep, it is worth mentioning that there is also a railroad line in the area that could be considered disturbing (I was personally not disturbed by the specific noises).
I warmly recommend this hotel.

Overall we liked the hotel and it's location. The room we got was very great. The only thing was a very rude cleaning/helping lady that was swearing in German really bad. I was with two big kids. When we checked in, we received a wrong room without an additional bad I paid for. While I went do the front desk to ask about the bed, my kids started unpacked their stuff, use the bathroom, etc. So while I was at the front desk, the lady came in to give us a new key for a different room, saw what my kids were doing, and started to yell on them in German, which we don't understand. My 12 y.o. daughter got really scared. She actually didn't do anything wrong, she just started unpack in her hotel room after long trip. Anyway, we liked the hotel, the room, and their breakfast. It was really good. The only thing is to be aware of is this old lady that speaks German only and gets sometimes mad.

Great value for the location (in city center, very well connected through tramway, S and U-Bahn). Comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, good breakfast. Clean room. The only cons: only 2 sockets in room 40 (one of which in the bathroom) and only one mirror in the bathroom which wasn't full size.

Great place to stay for early morning train trips. Close to Wien Mitte station with trains direct to the airport. Overall a really good stay here, however the aircon was not working and it was a little uncomfortable to sleep without it.

El hotel no era para nada lo que nos esperábamos. Las fotos daban otra imagen. La habitación es fría, aséptica, nada acogedora. No había ni mesita de noche en uno de los lados.
Tampoco un armario o similar para poder dejar la ropa.
El televisor está puesto de tal forma que no puedes ver la tele desde la cama.

Room is pretty clean, bed is alright, comfortable enough. Reception works non-stop which is a great thing. I'd like if they have AC in the room instead of cooling fan, but better something than nothing.
I have found this property in a good discount, so for that price hotel is good. The best thing about hotel is location. It's literally few steps away from the Landstrasse Mitte metro and rail station, so it's very easy to reach it to the airport by train from there. That was very important to me because I've had a very early flight. And Stephanplatz is on the walking distance also. If you're on a budget, and you want to stay in a great ocation in good enough hotel, this is probably the best choice for you.

Ældre, men pænt og rent hotel. Hurtig ind- og udtjekning. Meget venligt personale. Morgenmad ok. Beliggenhed meget praktisk ved Wien Mitte = lige ved S7 tog til/fra lufthavn og kun en kort gåtur (10 min.) til centrum. Desværre 2 store minusser, som trækker karakter langt ned = stenhård seng, som ikke er egnet til en med lidt dårlig ryg eller lidt gigt. Desuden meget høj larm fra togbanen lige uden for (vinduet måtte nødvendigvis hermetisk lukkes på trods af derfra følgende meget høj varme)

Les lieux sont quelque peu désuet.
Voici quelques points à améliorer

- Le séchoir arrêtait au deux. À changer au plus vite.
- il n’y avait personne au petit déjeuner pour remplir les plats.
-la fenêtre de notre chambre ne fermait pas bien et créait un cillement toute la nuit.
-le lit collé sur le mur n’était pas vraiment pratique,
-aucun bureau pour ranger nos choses, ni de porte bagage.

Bref pas top comme hôtel.

Hotel perfecto para ir a Viena de turismo. Lo mejor su situación, a un paso del transporte público y del centro de la ciudad. El personal de recepción muy agradable en especial la chica, muy simpática. Desayuno correcto. Habitación grande, baño impecable, buena señal de wifi y con buena calefacción. Por poner algo negativo es que a veces olía a tabaco, sin saber de dónde provenía. Sin duda volvería a repetir.

Bellissimo weekend a Vienna

L'albergo è in una posizione perfetta; vicinissimo al centro e alla stazione ferroviaria che collega all'aeroporto. Si raggiungono a piedi in max 20 minuti tutti i principali luoghi di interesse nel centro città. L'albergo è un po' datato ma molto ben tenuto. La nostra camera era completamente ristrutturata di recente con tutti i comfort di un moderno albergo. La colazione è ben assortita e abbondante sia dolce che salata. In ultimo il personale molto gentile e disponibile. Lo consiglio vivamente.

Altes Haus, Flure und Eingangsbereich aus den 60er Jahren, teilweise Toiletten auf den Fluren. Unser Zimmer hatte ein winziges eigenes Bad! Kleiner Frühstücksraum aber das Frühstück war ok. Mitarbeiter alle sehr nett. Trotzdem ist das Haus unbedingt empfehlenswert, weil es einfach genial liegt und alle Sehenswürdigkeiten fußläufig zu erreichen sind!

Das Hotel hat einen altmodischen Charm, der sehr gut zur Stadt Wien passt. Alles in Hotel ist sauber. Mein Zimmer war extrem ruhig. Das Frühstück war einfach jedoch gut. Die Rezeption ist rund um die Uhr besetzt. Der WLAN ging gut (jedoch leider ohne individuelles Passwort). Das Personal war sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend. Die Hotellage ist traumhaft - am Stadtpark, direkt vor der Altstadt, an der SBahn (direkt zum Flughafen) und an der UBahn, mit einer direkten Straßenbahnverbindung zum Hauptbahnhof Das Hotel ist also perfekt für Besucher, die am unnötigen modischen Schnickschnack sparren möchten. In . unmittelbaren Nähe des Hotels finden sich Cafés (darunter der Prückel, ein meiner Lieblingskaffehäuser) und gute Restaurants (darunter das Steiereck im Stadtpark).

First time I can't understand why this hotel got high rating.
Maybe reason is \"noise form neighbor\" and no air conditioner.
Reception is expert and fast, room is not large, but clean and comportable, location is fantastic.
But there is no soundproof, not the \"weak\", just \"no soundproof\".
I can hear many noise from neighbor from dusk till dawn, even falling water from showhead.
If you meet the neighbor with manner, this hotel is very good to stay. but you must remember this hotel is very close to wien-mitte station. Many traveller use this hotel and they need to hurry from dawn.
if you visit here in summer, you would be open the window because no air conditioner, maybe you feel pluse noise from outside.
So, I can recommand this hotel for just one night.
3 star for the reception and housekeeping, not the hotel.

Helt greit opphold

Helt greit hotell. Veldig hyggelig og god service, men hotellet er gammelt. Lenge siden det har blitt renovert,men føltes rent ut. Grei frokost og ligger greit sentralt til. Lett å komme seg til undergrunn og tog,og ligger rett ved et senter. Vil anbefale om man ikke har noe imot gammelt hotell. Man får det man betaler for.

Τρεις μέρες στην Βιέννη

Ωραίο ξενοδοχείο, 10 λεπτά από το κέντρο της πόλης και δίπλα σε σταθμούς μέτρο και τρένου. Το προσωπικό ευγενικό και πάντα πρόθυμο να βοηθήσει με συμβουλές για την πόλη. Ήσυχο, ζεστό και πολύ καθαρό. Μας ικανοποίησε πλήρως και γι αυτό το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα σαν μια ιδανική πρόταση διαμονής στην Βιέννη.

편안하게 잘 있다 왔어요.

Wien Mitte역에서 가까워 공항을 오가기도 편하고 또 도심에 있어 관광하기에도 좋은 위치입니다. 식사도 깔끔하고 맛있습니다.

오~ 그리고 무엇보다 버블 욕조가 구비된 넓찍한 욕실이 맘에 드네요. ㅎ

Habitación amplia. Muy buena localización, con paradas de metro y tranvía a pocos minutos. Un centro comercial con muchos bares a menos de 5 minutos. El desayuno muy completo y la habitación limpia. Muy recomendable.

入り口に階段があり、荷物を運ぶのに大変だった。
部屋が3階と4階の中間で、エレベーターを降り、更に階段を使わないとならない部屋だったので荷物を運ぶのに大変だった。
予約する際にそのような情報がなかったので現地に行ってみてわかった。
部屋を変えてもらうようお願いしたが満室で変えてもらえなかった、
エクスペディアに事前に情報を掲載して欲しかった。また、値段もその分安くしてもいいのではないかと思う。

イメージはビジネスホテルなのでしょう。アメニティは石鹸とシャワージェルのみ。宿泊した部屋は、寝室とバスルームが同じ面積ありそうな広いバスルームで、シャワーブースの他にジェットバスがあり疲れが癒されました。近くを電車が通っており、朝は4時代から音がします。気になる人はご注意を。駅から近いですが、ホテルへの道は夜は人通りがありませんでした。朝食はパン、チーズ、ハム、コーヒーマシーン、自分で作るゆで卵などでした。

Super hôtel au charme désuet.

Nous avons beaucoup aimé ce petit hôtel mis à part pour quelques petits détails. Notre réservation était pour 4 adultes et 1enfant de 6 ans. Nous nous attendions donc à avoir 5 lits mais nous avons et deux chambres doubles et impossible d'avoir un lit d'appoint, l'hôtel n'en possède pas. Donc famille, cet hôtel n'est pas pour vous. La literie était dure et peu confortable. Sinon, les chambres sont très propres et très désuètes ce que nous avons beaucoup aimé, le personnel est très gentil et le petit dej n'est pas extraordinaire mais il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour bien commencer la journée. La situation de l'hôtel est parfaite pour les gens qui arrivent à la gare mitte car il est à 3 minutes à pied. Il est également bien centré et nous avons pu visiter une partie des monuments à pied. Bref, un chouette petit hôtel pour les personnes voyageant sans enfant.
