We loved our stay at Ritz Carlton. The hotel is beautiful and we loved our room. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We used the club lounge and everything there is high quality.
I would really recommend staying here if you visit Vienna. The location is great, 10 minute walk to the train station and 5 minute walk to the main shopping area.

My stay at The Ritz-Carlton Vienna was very disappointing.
The room allocated to me did not match the images advertised and was not representative of the Junior Suite booked. On arrival, there was a strong sewage odour in the room, which was resolved on the second day.

During my stay, there were several periods with no water supply to the room (I believe this was a hotel wide issue), as well as smoke alarm activations. Attempts to contact the Guest Services Team by phone were unsuccessful, and I was later advised at reception that they were “too busy” to answer calls.

On a positive note, the breakfast was excellent, and the breakfast team were very attentive.

Overall, the number of issues experienced fell well short of the standard you expect from the The Ritz Carlton brand.

Very underwhelming for the reputation of Ritz Carlton. When we checked in there was no water in the hotel and we couldn’t bath before going out for dinner. Concierge were overall helpful with booking activities, but failed to confirm the activities and itinerary. This caused a lot of confusion between dinner reservations mixed up and a tour guide waiting for us that was not confirmed as available. The rooms had very confusing lighting, as switches were not installed in places that were consistent with their intended use. Most of the furniture was useless and the room lacked sufficient spaces to accommodate luggage.

Great stay but just a bit off for a stay at the Ritz. Items to be in the room at check in were late (arrived after we did and we checked in late). Arrived early had our bags held by the bellhop and was told we would receive an email when are room was ready. We did not receive an email or text alerting us. The staff is very attentive and they do care very much about your stay and your experience at the hotel. We stayed 4 nights. Though we had some issues early with a humming from our AC unit, it was attended to immediately. We didn't expect anything, but the staff went the extra mile to make sure we had a pleasant stay at the hotel with many surprises. People were super friendly. Unfortunately there was street construction outside all night in addition to a terrible sewage smell coming up from the shower drains. There were no North American plugs in the room and when we requested one we were told they had run out, we were unable to charge anything until the next morning. I would say this is not acceptable for a five star property. I would say value for money isn’t great here, I prefer some of the other properties in town. The staff were exceptional which was good, always friendly and helpful.

Our stay at Ritz Carlton check in was very smooth , felt safe and convenient location to the main attraction's. The stem sauna timing could be extended as the current time made it difficult to attend facilities in the morning as one would be out by 10.00 am .
Although they did their best to cater to vegetarian more attention to vegetarian option would be good as it felt limited to me.
Overall pleasant stay with friendly staff 😊

We spent a week in Vienna for a relaxed stay. The location is great and walkable to a lot of places but very accessible to the underground, trams and buses in the area. We got the train from the airport to Wein Mitten (I think) which gave us a little walk to the hotel and that didn't take a lot of time. Right from the first to the last day staff were really welcoming, generous and polite. We booked a room with club lounge access which was great - although I would say food options there need some variety. Breakfast on the ground floor was amazing and the breakfast team could not do enough for us. Even for trips out we were able to build a snack box for pastries/fuits and get drinks to go when we had really early starts. Thank you to the club lounge team and Francisco and the entire breakfast team for looking after us so well :)

Service was fantastic and room was great. Greeted with prosecco (water for our son) and cookies upon check-in. Room was very spacious and clean. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Great location - very walkable. Rooftop bar in the evening is a plus - quiet place to enjoy a drink and watch the sunset. Plan to stay here again next time we are in Vienna.

This property is certainly not a five star hotel. The staff were amazing, kind and sweet and the hotel was very central, within walking distance to most of the famous places . However, the breakfast in particular was not of 5 star quality . It was not a buffet but you wete served at the table. and the menu was limited. There was no organic healthy dishes. The only one that came near was something called a healthy bowl which consisted of a heavy greek yogurt of 10 percent fat with a heavily sugared granola and 2 or three blueberries and one raspberry with flaked almonds. There was a fruit platter conxisting og chopped up melons and a few thin sluces of kiwi. We orderd a cheese platter and recieved a few triangles of ready cut cheeeses. The bread bowl for two people consisted of one croisant , one slice of brown bread a white roll and a pain au chocolate. It lacked the generoristy of a five star hotel and everything appeared to be weighed out using cheap ingredients and counting out each piece . It wasnt a nice feeling.
The room was dark and did not have good quality products. The majorty were made in china and there was nothing at all luxurious After initially moving room due to the first room being unclean we still felt the room was not of the standard of a five star. It needs a complete overhaul.. Its a pity that after paying a five star price the overall feeling was that there was a complete lack of luxury or generosity

The staff very friendly and welcoming. A big shout out to Mario for being extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the city ( give us good insights).

My only complain would be the brekfast, didn't like the options, slow services, everyone was trying they're best but way too slow due to volume of people, plus too pricey for what i got.
Definitely disappointed, wish was buffet style.

Excellent central location on Ring Boulevard. What you expect from a Ritz Carlton Hotel in terms of quality and friendliness, especially from breakfast staff every morning. Surprisingly only one evening of turn-down service out of 3 total nights. Hotel is modern but showing signs of its age. May stay at Imperial Hotel which is very extravagant and opulent in comparison next time I go to Vienna to compare. Surprisingly, no CNN international tv channel at Ritz Carlton. Loved the super strong shower pressure. Breakfast choices and service were wonderful. Concierge supposed to make us reservations for dinner at traditional Austrian restaurant our second night but messed up and we had a bad dinner somewhere else. We never used pool so can’t comment on that. Room bar had limited hours and never got to use. Hotel hallways felt too warm the entire 4 days we were at the Ritz. We visited club level to consider upgrading but was too warm in there so did not upgrade.

Our recent trip to Vienna was amazing! The staff did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable! The spa was clean, amazing pool to wind down after a long day.

The breakfast was light, good and accomodated our dietary restrictions with different options. From welcome to service we enjoyed a 8 day stay! Our waiters were doing everything possible to make a great experience Francesco, Roland and Natalia were amazing in every way!

A special thanks to Adriana Q. Manager, for taking care of little details to make our stay hassle free and on hotel standards, her team was professional and make our room a home away from home.

We reocmmend the Pastamara restaurant with the special aperitif experience! Hats off to amazing mixing skills from Bence, he is knowledgeable and provides a 5 star restaurant service!

Great service, noisy AC/ventilation unacceptable.

Had to have our room changed because the fan noise was SO loud in the room, even with the AC on. Had we been in a situation where we needed the AC to be actually on, it would have been impossible to sleep.
A noisy room at £700 a night is inexcusable!
They promptly changed the room to a (nicer) quieter one, but it was only so because the fan/ac vent was a lot farther away from the bed than the previous one.
Stayed here as a treat for my girlfriend’s 30th birthday. Arranged two months in advance to have flowers and cake brought in the morning for a surprise. Confirmed the night before just to be sure. Nothing arrived, i asked what was happening and no one was aware of it. They ruined my surprise, and I was fuming. They were very apologetic and arranged for flowers and cake in the evening, free of charge, which was nice enough, but not a solution to the disruption created. No one could explain us what caused the issue.

Other than that everyone was very professional and the normal service was great, stayed in the club lounge which was totally worth the extra money, great food both sweet and savoury, super service.

This is a large hotel, which at first was difficult to navigate with all the different hallways and stairs, leading you from section to section. (There is an elevator, but some areas still had steps.) The staff is exceptionally helpful. The room is spacious, clean, and quiet. The hotel is ideally located within the inner city. You are half a mile from most attractions - totally walkable. Our room could have used a refresher of the bathroom, as there were stains on the countertop and some flooring. We didn't use the gym, restaurants, or spa. Overall, however, it was very enjoyable.

This is by far the best experience that we have had any luxury hotels Ritz included. We felt welcome, respected and very well looked after, especially by Mr. Jasper Veltmaat the manager on duty.

We loved the team at Distrikt where we had our breakfasts and most dinners. We were met with smiles, received excellent service and the food was amazing and of finest quality. Francesco and Assunta made our stay so enjoyable and memorable.

The property gives you a home like-feeling, very well maintained and true luxury. Not to mentioned the great location.
We can not wait to be back.

Excellent Italian style restaurant. Also a steakhouse that we didn't try. The concierge was very helpful. The hotel is walking distance to most sites and shopping. We rented e-bikes a few blocks away that was super fun. Vienna is very bike friendly. The pool and fitness centre are immaculate. You gotta get a drink on the rooftop with the best view in town.

We had to drag our bags from the parking lot to a limousine stand by ourselves.
