Great location (across from Opera) plus good breakfast (not included—was extra surcharge). Room was small, no additional toiletries included. Front desk was very helpful and even gave me the additional stamps needed so I had correct postage for my postcards!!

Lovely located hotel.. very central but quiet. Great night sleep and clean. Staff at reception helpful.. only downside was a member at the bar ( bald guy) not helpful and quite rude! Could do better on that front!
All in all an excellent stay and wouldn’t put me off rebooking

First off , full marks for location! It is only a few min walk from karlplatz Ubahn station and closer to many attractions. Plus it is close to many restaurants and cafes - including McDonald and Starbucks in karlplatz station as well as a smaller supermarket. So staying on budget without much effort is possible. Rooms were a bit smallish but when you are in Vienna, you are not in room that much !

The hotel is in a good location, walkable to Innere Stadt, transportation and many restaurants. We enjoyed the convenience. The hotel has a beautiful lobby with nice architectural features. There is also a bar which was great for a glass of wine before retiring for the night. Staff was very friendly. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable. However, this hotel has several downsides. The air conditioning did not work well so we had to open the window at night because it was hot and stuffy. The fresh air was helpful, but the hotel is on the corner of two busy streets, so it was noisy. Eventually, the traffic slowed down and the noise wasn't bad. Another downside is the room was so small. We could hardly get around the bed and had to literally walk sideways to get between the bed and a mirror that was attached to the wall with a rod that served as a closet. There was no place to put luggage, so we had to leave it on the floor, creating even less room to move around the bed. There was no chair to sit in. The \"nice\" part about the room the glass door that opened to a very small area. You couldn't really sit there because it was small but you could look out the windows that gave a slight view. The bathroom was nice, clean, and had a great shower.

I’m giving it 4 stars for the affordability. It is a basic clean room without many amenities. No coffee maker or fridge. Shampoo, body wash and lotion provided but that is all. No phone to call the front desk. Very basic but affordable.

My stay here wasn’t great. I wouldn’t stay here again. I knew the room was going to be teeny tiny (which was fine), but for $200+ a night, I expected some bare minimum amenities. There were no toiletries or coffee machine/kettle. Not the end of the world but would have been nice. What really ruined my stay was I was put down in one of the “subterranean” or basement rooms. They were doing LOUD construction starting early every single day of my stay. I mean loud banging right outside my room starting first thing in the AM. I went upstairs and kindly told the front desk to see if there was maybe a quieter room anywhere I could move to, as loud drilling and hammering directly outside my door wasn’t allowing me to sleep. They said “sorry but these things have to get done.” Let me assure you, the rooms are NOT soundproof as it claims. They were painting, so I had paint fumes coming into my room. They were doing work on the elevator, so I had to lug two suitcases up and down two flights of stairs. When I asked to check my luggage because I got there early, they made me take it back to the luggage closet and then go back and find it again. The front desk guys were kind of nice, but they didn’t really offer any assistance or customer service. When I went up to get a coffee at the bar area (because there’s no coffee in the rooms) the barista acted like I completely put him out. I may have got one of their cheaper rooms, but I still don’t think that qualifies the stay I had there.

As soon as we got to our room, we realized the air conditioning wasn’t working. I called the front desk and they advised it was broken for everyone and would not be fixed for 1-2 days. No mention of this upon arrival. It was 78 degrees outside so no relief from opening the windows. I asked what they were doing for compensation and after talking to their manager they offer 36 euros. I told them we would have stayed elsewhere had we known and asked for our breakfasts to be comped but they refused. Poor customer service for a newly opened hotel.

This property is a great location to access the public transportation and walking distance from the inner city. The room has a thermostat but when we could not get the cooler to come on and we asked, we were informed that the hotel controls the temperature and there was nothing to be done. We simply opened the windows and that helped a lot. There was no phone in the room and the only way to communicate with the front desk was to go down to the desk or get online. For the price, we found it a bit high, but we had very good experiences with the restaurant and bar staff and that made up for a lot.

The hotel is within walking distance of most major tourist attractions, and the subway is just a two-minute walk away, making it very convenient to get around. Overall, it was a good experience.

Nice view. Ideal location for public transport and walking. Historic building so very unique. Internet available. Clean rooms. Elevators. Overall very nice experience.

Fair warning- we booked a nicer room and when we showed up we were put in a lower room. MotelOne said that the room matches the reservation information given to them by Expedia. The photos didn’t match the room we were in and due to the logistics of things, MotelOne couldn’t move us to the room we believe we booked because only 1 of those rooms existed, but gave us some drink vouchers and helped us get what we needed from Expedia. Expedia support wasn’t very helpful and just gave us $50 in Expedia credit after having to pull teeth for it. I believe that Expedia put the wrong photos to the wrong rooms, but it ended with MotelOne and Expedia pointing fingers at one another.

The staff was not only friendly but really helpful. The room was clean though small. The lobby of the hotel is being slowly redone and promises to be lovely with a cozy place for breakfast and just time away with friends. Wish they had plastic or real glasses in the bathroom as the paper ones have a tendency to leak.

They were unapologetically doing construction in the main lobby/bar, and on the floor above me. The elevator use was troubling. The hotel made no acknowledgment or compensation for that disturbance. Not even a bottle of water or a free coffee. I think that is plain rude.

Heads up: This is the only hotel I stayed that provides no basics and amenities at all. and I mean:
-No phone
-No coffee maker
-No tea, coffee
-No fridge
-No complimentary bottled water
-No beverage cups (only paper cups in toilet that is not replaced)
-No toothbrush
-No slippers
-No razors

Just hair/body soap.

Not too familiar with 3.5 star hotels in Europe, but even 2 star hotels in Asia would give you complimentary water.

Very expensive for the value (or lack thereof).

Room paid during check-in and staff charged me more than what was invoiced in Hotels.com. Refunded when I raised it the following day.

Excellent location though. Walkable to all the main attractions. Lobby is nice. Room is clean though feels stale and small. Thats the only positives.

The clean up of the room was done but empty kleenex box not replaced for several days. The room was occasionally provided with paper glasses but not replaced everyday. The room had no phone and no clock: I had to to go a local store to buy glasses and an alarm clock to compensate for those deficiencies. Considering the price of the room, it was well under expectations.

Very squeezy room, difficult to turn around ot open suitcases, narrow rack can only hang 3 jackets, shelves less than 20cm width, no hooks on the wall. No heating when temperature was about 5°C in nights. The 1st night, I feel very cold and could not sleep. My husband went to front desk to ask for more comforter. They said only house keep can provide it & had to wait till 10am next morning. We waited in our room & got conforters next morning. But during nights I still had bad headache because the room is very cold & my head was cold. During high check-in hours, only 2 staffs & we waited more than 20min to get our luggage. The front desk staffs are rude. Terrible place and awful stay, yet they charge over $300 per night.

Charming Stay, Centrally Located

Everything about my staff was perfect. The room size was just right for solo travel, and it was surprisingly one of the most comfortable mattresses I've been on in a hotel! The room was well maintained, the heat level was just right, and the shower was great.

This hotel is extremely well-located, easy on and off the U-bahn, and near the Naschmarkt, Secession, Strauss museum, and both the Musikverein and Stadtoper.

My only note for North American travellers: you put your room key in a slot on the wall to activate the lights!

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. This is a dog friendly hotel, and they were wonderful in this respect. They had placed a water bowl and treats inside the room, as well as a welcome letter directing us to the closest green areas/parks. Highly recommend for anyone traveling with a pet.

For a competitive price we had a small but clean and comfortable room located a couple hundred yards stroll to a major U-Bahn and Tram interchange, the Opera, a grocery store, a variety of places to eat,; three blocks to the city tourist center; and walking distance to St. Stephen's cathedral and the central district.

Excellent location, very easy to walk around the city and also next to one of the major metro stops. Staff were polite and friendly. Bathroom was nice and modern, some bits of the room felt a little old fashioned and it is missing some basic things like a safe and kettle and mini fridge, but I was aware of this before I booked and my main requirement was location and cleanliness. I’m satisfied with my stay.

Upon arrival 3 hours prior to check in the receptionist notified me that I can access the room right now if I want to without asking. The hotel is perfectly located, right in city center walking distance to St. Stephan's Cathedral, steps away from the Opera, restaurant and shops near by. Beautiful spacious lobby. Unbeatable price. I had a way too short stay at this hotel. Thank you for being so accommodating. I have highly recommended this hotel to friends who will visit later in the year.

Easy walk from the tram station Nice open reception who were very polite I arrived on an extremely hot day and they had a nice touch by giving me a large bottle of water as I checked in
The area was nice very close to the opera house very clean and felt safe all round
My only negative, which really is being perhaps picky the room whilst clean was surprisingly small and the bathroom very tight/small with just a shower no bath especially as I had upgraded from the basic room to superior
Breakfast was good loads on offer a complete buffet for €16.90
Overall, a pleasant stay nice people and I would stay again
