If I was on a business trip and I needed to use the Wi-Fi, I wouldn’t have been very happy. They have extremely a weak Wi-Fi. Also, I found morning crew for breakfast was very impatient with clients. For €32 they wanted you to eat and get out. By 10:15 AM ( you needed to be finish by 10:30am) they would start taking your plate away without your permission. That was not cool at all. Front desk, Bar staff and dinner crew were very nice and helpful.

Almost backing onto the Belvedere Gardens and only a 10 minute walk to the city centre the hotel is well located, clean and the rooms are spacious.

Worst check-out ever

This was a very nice and well located hotel… until the day of my departure.
Even if the checkout is at 11:00, I heard a faint knock on my door around 10:15, I wasn’t even sure it was for my room. I called out but there was no answer. Then someone proceeded to immediately unlock my door. I was just out of the shower and barely had my panties on, so I screamed to them to stay out of my room. Then through the door, I asked them to identify themselves and the person said « this is check-out ». I told them I would get down shortly.
But seriously sending the check-out crew nearly one hour before check out, without a phone call, and having them open the doors to the rooms on naked clients, that’s not the best policy.
Nothing much from the front desk when I reported the incident. Just told me « sorry, that must have been housekeeping » as if they aren’t responsible for housekeeping behavior. That’s the problem with paying your room in advance I guess, once they get your money who cares if you are satisfied or not? Sincerely I felt rushed and humiliated.
Also that made me notice that the room had no phone line. So it’s impossible to reach the front desk to ask questions or also in case of emergency. I thought that was unsafe.

The only redeeming quality for this property was their proximity to Belvedere and they had a very nice breakfast. The rooms were tiny and uncomfortable. The worst part was the lack of cooperation and nasty staff specially the bar staff. After 8 pm there are no restaurants in the hotel or anywhere in the neighborhood. We had to buy Burgerking for dinner because nothing else was opened. When we sat the bar to have drinks and our dinner, the bartender kicked us out telling us \"go eat in your room\". Horrible and nasty.

Excellent front desk came to immediate aid when my daughter fell quite ill from food related infection at another establishment in Vienna. They contacted and arranged a private Dr to assess and treat my daughter on site.

We were thoroughly impressed.

Location great for walking distance to a number of locations. I would rebook here.

I was on the 6th floor facing west and the view was magical and I really don't use that word. Spectacular sunsets, lovely gardens, property very clean/comfortable. Staff wonderful/helpful from the breakfast staff to the bartender who let me loiter before my train and was just lovely. Front desk interactions also enjoyable. I was on a 6 week solo trip thru multiple countries and this stay was an absolute highlight. I enjoy being able to open hotel windows and it was cool and quiet and delightful outside.

W recepcji bałagan, przy meldowaniu recepcjonista nie mógł znaleźć naszej rezerwacji. Nawet początkowo twierdził, że rezerwacja była anulowana. Wyjaśnianie i proces zameldowania trwał blisko godzinę. Przy śniadaniu okazało się, że nie jest zaznaczony pobyt z opcją \"Śniadanie\" i tu też należało sprawę wyjaśnić. Mała część śniadaniowa, trudno o wolny stolik zwłaszcza gdy przychodzą na śniadanie grupy wycieczkowe. Pokoje z opcją \"otwartej\" łazienki nie są do zaakceptowania. Generalnie hotel powinien pójść do gruntownego remontu albo do wyburzenia, a personel powinien przejść gruntowne szkolenie. A na dokładkę gburowaty barman w hotelowym barze.

What a disappointment.

I’m still having a hard time believing this was a Hyatt affiliated hotel. The hotel staff and service were well below par. The room and beds were not comfortable. Did I mention the bad service? As a 20 year hotels.com user I got no benefits, NOTHING, zero, not even a bottle of water or a cup of coffee.

We usually stay in this hotel. We have stayed in this hotel more than 50 times the last 6 yrs, for different reasons . The change of staff is a big reason we are looking for another hotel. We were waiting in line to check in, two staff were busy with some people and there was a third person doing the check in. It was a woman. We were the next in line . She told us to wait . A man appeared and cut us off. She immediately started to check him in and ignore our presence. When we were checking in, she made a rude comment to a question I asked to the other person that was doing our check in.
I usually don’t give bad reviews, I love the location of the hotel, but I just don’t like being attended to by unprofessional staff. Rather change.

This place is fine but very businessy and functional, nowhere near as nice as it looked in hotels.com pics and IMO not good value for money.

The lobby is very ugly and the reception on staff arrival seemed quite bored, so first impressions were not good.

The WiFi is the worst I’ve ever seen in a hotel belonging to a major chain, almost nonexistent in our room (we used NH Hotel WiFi from next door!!!).

The gym is new and q nice but sadly the beautiful looking sauna was not working.

Breakfast was good though could have been more vegetarian options.

Disappointed by the cleanliness and services

While the location and view at Lindner were excellent, cleanliness became a significant concern during our three-night stay. Upon arrival, we noticed unpleasant stains in the corner of the washstand. Despite requesting daily cleaning, the stains remained untouched throughout our stay, persisting for the next visitor.

On the day of checkout, we were unexpectedly awakened at 8:04 AM by the cleaning staff rushing to service the room. When we expressed our concern at the reception, we were surprised to be informed that it is considered normal to be disturbed if the 'do not disturb' sign is not placed on the door.

Regrettably, based on our experience, I cannot recommend Lindner for your visit to Vienna.

The property is conveniently located near the Belvedere Palace and is in close walking proximity to major attractions. Star attraction for us was the buffet breakfast and also very helpful staff. Few amenities in the room such as Iron, kettle, etc. were not readily available in the room but the staff was very prompt in providing upon request.

Nice hotel, right next to Belvedere and about 1 mile to museum quarter. Clean and quiet, staff helpful. Breakfast expensive at €28 so we didn't have it. Bar and restaurant area very quiet. We booked 2 rooms for a family of 4, same floor but not together so suggest requesting adjoining rooms if you need them.

Unfortunately, the wellness centre was closed for renovations during our stay. We were not made aware of these renovations at the time of booking. We would have chosen a different hotel if we had been. I feel like this was dishonest and I will not be staying at another hotel operated by this company.

Could not use bedside table socket to plug-in continental adapter because socket too close to wall facing. Air conditioning control did not respond properly. No radio stations with TV. Very nice hotel near the centre.
Rooms are space and nicely equipped. If you stay more nights and don’t require room service you can suck the minibar.
However the bathroom, especially the shower could be sorted better as separate room. Also the bed is too soft for me.
For some reason the breakfast is blocked during initial booking. It’s unblocked only after we select option cancel the booking which of course is 50 eur more.

The room was very nice, but I couldn’t control the room temperature and fan. It was hot up to 26 degree and the fan on full blast. I asked hotel service to turn it off by the time I come back in. They managed to turn off the fan, but they couldn’t lower. The temperature, it climbed to 27 degree instead. They recommended to keep the window open, this is not the way to conserve energy. Also the white bathrobe and the towels were in tatters.

Excellent stay, very convenient hotel within walking distance of city centre, the Belvedere Palace (where you can view many great paintings by artists such as Gustav Klimt) and within easy reach of public transport to take you either to town or straight to the airport.
Staff at the hotel are very friendly and welcoming ensuring our stay was as good as it can be.
The room was spacious, well presented with a comfortable bed and great shower.
Breakfast is very good with a broad range of offerings.
Overall Vienna is steeped in history with beautiful buildings all around you.
Hotel Lindner am Belvedere is an excellent hotel that gives you everything you need to explore Vienna whilst having all the comfort you could ask for.

Really good hotel. It’s close to the train station that is connected with a airport. It’s not really close to U Bahn (10-15min walking) but still you can use Uber or Bolt to get to the Stephanplaz (€6-€7). Hotel is right next to the Belvedere. Overall it’s a good choice to stay at if you travel as a tourist. Great staff at the hotel.

Items stolen, very poor customer service recovery

The hotel itself was good. The room accommodations were nice, and the beds were relatively comfortable. The only thing from the room I would change is to have a wall separating the shower from the rest of the room to allow for privacy. However, my biggest concern was with the staff and customer service. I checked out and forgot to grab the items I had stored in the safe. I contacted the hotel staff a few hours after checking out to inform them and noted the items I had stored in the safe, and they said they would look into the matter. Upon my return to the hotel, I was provided three of the four items that were located in the safe; the fourth, an envelope with a large sum of cash, was not presented. Staff provided inconsistencies in their policies for addressing retrievals from the safe (one showed me a picture of the money on a table and not in the safe, while a management member informed me that it is not part of their procedure to take pictures of safe items when they are retrieved). In the end, I didn't feel that the staff were helpful or trying to address my serious concern. They essentially told me that they could do nothing more for me and that I would have to escalate it to the police (which I did). The whole discussion and event was very disappointing; and a hotel stay that started very enjoyable ended with much frustration.

One rude front desk ruined a 4-star hotel

I cried at room after checked in, that’s my first 20 mins in Vienna.
27/08/2019- (The 6th day after my official complain to the Manager, leave an email for them to follow up still no reply at all).
I am a cabin crew/ law student/ solo traveler and an Asian girl, I have been to more than 50 countries, checked in to more than 300 hostels/hotels, that one in Lindner was the worst check in experience which caused me tears.
If you are still reading it, forgive me that I wrote my background there, for the reference that I didn’t make an unreasonable complaint or lack of travel experience. Honestly, I really don’t want to memorise the experience and just let it go, but I am disappointed that no email response to me at all, I left them my personal email address. The incident was between me and the front desk staff, I am sure it’s rare, because what I observed other front desk staffs were very polite and smiley , just that one staff is rude, I was so unlucky I was her first customer to serve. I don’t want to type the whole story here yet unless they ignored it further, I deserved an proper response after paying €100 for one sad night.

A little more attention to detail.

The cleaning crew did not clean one day even though we left the hotel before 11:00 AM and left a “please clean room” tag hanging on the door. Next day then sort of cleaned the room but left used coffee mugs and used water glasses as well as did not refill beverages etc.I expected more for the amount of money that was spent per night.
