The front desk staff were very courteous. The hotel room design is not ok, specifically the bathROOM, or lack thereof actually.

When we walked into the room, there were 2 doors on the right, a desk and bench on the left then a very low bed. The sink was next to the bed.

The doors on the right were a WC (toilet) and next to it a glass Shower Door. Both of these doors opened to the room basically. So you use the WC, step back into the room, take two steps on the carpet to step up i to you shower, with a full length mirror in it for your enjoyment.
Or use the WC, take about seven steps towards your bed to wash your hands.
The room was 22C and we could not find the radiator controls - they were behind the desk and difficult to access. So opened windows and room never cooled down to lower than 18.5C. Finally, the keycard/electricity activation feature gave no 10 sexons grace period, so gather up at the door to leave.

The receptionist promised that we would get a free breakfast because there was no better VIP room available, unfortunately in the morning it turned out that we had to pay 50 Euro for breakfast, I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, bad experience!!!

Disappointing stay. Panorama room was a view of a cement wall and AC unit. Self check in completed prior to arrival but still took 15 minutes to get room key. Parking garage is a nightmare if you drive anything bigger than a Fiat. Staff very kind, helpful and friendly.

Hotel Daniel is my new favourite hotel, it’s office block chic style is fabulous. Each room has aircon and a smart TV so we could watch Netflix. The rooms were stylish as was reception, we ate in the restaurant twice and the service and food were great.

The property is really quirky but has a real funky feel to it. We stayed in a hammock room (404) which has a random hammock hanging from the ceiling. It was really spacious and warm. I would wholly recommend the place. The only criticism I could offer is that there is a fair bit of external noise from traffic but that would be me being picky. If we ever return to Vienna I will definately stay here again.

Initial impression was good. Very close to Tram stop (pretty much a 60 second walk from the door of the hotel). Was able to drop the bags at the hotel as the flight in was an early one.
Returned later to actually check in and the male staff member was extremely helpful. Explained everything in detail and answered any questions. As we were staying 3 nights, he advised that the items in the mini bar were included in the price. we could have it refilled afterwards for a fee but on the final day(last night), a free refill of the mini bar was included. He said just to ask at reception on the final morning and they would refill it (again free of charge on the final day). When i said this to the female staff member at reception on the final morning, she said no, you will be charged for all and every refill of the mini bar regardless. There was a bit of an attitude from this staff member and feel like this is the ONLY thing that let the hotel down.
Apart from the above, the room was clean, tidy, comfortable and the hotel location was excellent with plenty of transport links.

This hotel is very good value. Although it's not bang in the centre of Vienna it has excellent public transport links to the centre with the journey taking about 7 minutes on the train and less than 15 on the tram. The room is a good size with a powerful shower. Only grumbles were a lack of efficient room temperature regulation which would definitely be a problem in Summer and no closet space. Apart from these niggles I would definitely recommend the Daniel as an excellent choice.

The hotel Daniel is good hotel but not a great hotel. the room we stayed in needs a deep clean as there was dust cobwebs and bits of food in the room when we arrived. The menu is limited but the food is good. The location is a good a good 30 minute walk to the centre of Vienna

A fantastic hotel for location and convenience. Very comfrorable bed and bedding and very quiet in the room. Didnt hear any neighbours even though the hotel was extremely full. Busy at breakfast time but food and drink buffet was replanished quickly so no problem there. The only slight issue was the variable temperature of the shower. But everything else 5 out of 5!

Good, worth staying again

The girl at the front desk seemed very new or overwhelmed when I checked in and did not realize I had a 13 dollar food and bev credit. She also did not offer to arrange a taxi for my early morning flight. Luckily I was aware of how to schedule that but I think it could have been nice. She also did not hear my name correctly gave me the wrong form to fill out and didn’t even use a shredder that had personal information on it. Which it might just be me but I think that should definitely be used. The room was fine. Location was good and close to the main train station and other transportation. I felt like the air conditioner/heater did not work very well but that is me being picky. The panorama room was cool but probably not worth the extra money unless you have a room facing more of the Belvedere.

Even with the weird check in interaction, I think I could see myself staying here again.

Payment issues

Hotel stay was good room breakfast etc. unfortunately when I checked in the whole payment was taken plus an extra sixty euros. I had been told they just took an imprint of my card. When checking out I questioned the extra 60 euro charge and was told I still had to pay the full amount. I tried to explain this at the reception and it wasn’t until I showed them my banking app did they accept this. I’ve no issue with payment being taken when I check in, just be aware of being over charged. Fortunately the receptionist was helpful.

This property was right by the main train station and right by a tram line for public transportation. The staff and service was amazing the the rooms were so clean and tidy. The restaurant downstairs, both the food and staff were excellent.

Easy to find.

Close to Hbf. Tram#18 delivers you in 10 minutes. Great breakfast, dinner and friendly staff who were very patient with my German.

1st stay at hotel Daniel

Fantastic quirky hotel . Staff from the moment we arrived until check out were friendly and helpful.
Absolutely loved the body wash and lotion in the rooms . Purchased them to take home . Food was amazing in restaurant. Cara was lovely and gave me chocolate cake for my birthday. A lovely surprise . A wee suggestion is travel size toiletries to purchase for those who don’t have checked in baggage .

What a great hotel. Nice staff, lovely lobby but very quiet rooms. Rooms are a great size but a little cold as the ceilings are high and it’s all concrete. The decor is industrialist but it works well. Will definitely stay again.

Never again. Location is not everything

Ja, die Lage ist direkt am Hauptbahnhof neben dem Seiteneingang vom Schloss Belvedere sehr reizvoll. Die Rezeption und der Essensbereich sehen einladend aus. Das war es aber auch schon. Der Aufzug ist gemeingefährlich. Das Personal muss Dienstleistung noch buchstabieren lernen. Die Zimmer sind eigentlich alte Büros, die umgerüstet wurden - sehr spartanisch. gewöhnungsbedürftig ist der Dusch- und Pflegebereich mitten im Raum. Die Fenster zur Straße sind wohl nur aus Gründen der Wind-Prävention. Lärmschutz kann es nicht gewesen sein. Dafür ist der Preis als verkauftes Boutique Hotel ne Frechheit. Manche Dinge macht man nur zweimal. Das erste und das letzte Mal. Dieses Hotel gehört absolut dazu. Schade!

In particular Peter who was extremely efficient and also very informative. Kara was also very attentive. The location of the hotel is great as it is next to Schloss Belvedere.

Sleepless in Vienna

The blinds were defect and not working and there are big lights right outside the window which lit up the room. I couldn't sleep. Shower is in a glass cabinet next to the bed, weird set up, especially if you travel with friends...

Great hotel

The hotel is in a great location for a short walk to the train station (10 mins) and tram and underground (5 mins) which give you plenty of options for getting into the city centre and around and about. It's literally just around the corner from Upper Belvedere. The hotel itself was clean, the staff were friendly, and the hotel had character and quirkiness without it being off putting. A great stay.

Lots of room and a great location. Close to Vienna HBF and metro/tram lines. It was easy to get to all the main attractions easily. Also found an ice cream place and huge playgrounds only 2 tram stops away. It was great for big kids(13 & 17) too.

A modern hotel in a converted 1960s or 1970s office building. I rather liked our room, which was the corner of what would once have been a large open plan office. It had a supporting column passing through it, the WC, shower and sink were separate from each other - the sink being next to the bed, with a safe built into its side. The shower cubicle was in the middle of the room, with clear glass walls - giving no privacy while you shower, but my wife has seen me naked before, so I don't see this as a problem (she did though). I thought the architect had done a good job and that the room was quirky and clever. My wife thought it was weird. Breakfast seemed expensive so we ate elsewhere. This is not the prettiest part of Vienna, but it is near the main station and next to the Belvedere park.

Good size room but the bed was very soft and uncomfortable. The room had a desk but no available plug near it which wasn’t helpful. It also had a hammock in the room which was very unnecessary.

Great location

Everything was great and clean and convenient. I did expect laundry facilities on site since laundry is advertised on the app, but it’s a washing service that’s very very expensive, so if you need to wash clothes, expect to pay a ton or go to a laundry mat. Our AC wasn’t working very well in our room so it was very hot. Even when I tried to turn it down it didn’t cool off. Don’t expect any American/English tv options. There is like one news channel. Breakfast is about 25-30USD per person so we didn’t eat breakfast there. We ate dinner once in the diner portion. I’m only noting “negatives” so you can’t be prepared but overall I was happy with our stay! We did the smart room. It’s a glass shower beside the bed all on one room, so if you’re traveling with someone that you don’t want to see you shower, I wouldn’t recommend this room haha.

Family Friendly and Cool Hotel

We stayed at Daniel Vienna Hotel with our 18 month old baby. They provided us cot bed and kettle as we requested. They even made it all ready before we arrived. Thanks to them. It was overall very comfortable and clean. People were nice and helpful.

The hotel infrastructure is covered up by the design elements of the hotel. Very cool place but the air con didn't cool the room and was noisy however that was actually a good thing so it covered up the traffic noise through the windows. Even at floor 5!

We had a smart room which has a shower with a glass panel into the room and the mirror next to it meant you got to know anyone who you are sharing with very well...

Overall a well located hotel and looked great but needed some modern windows. Also maybe take some earplugs and a eye mask if you have trouble sleeping.

Bar and restaurant were great, breakfast a bit pricey. Hotel has lots of character, staff very friendly and helpful. Room was fine, clean, bed very comfortable, no privacy in the shower though as its all glass and in the same room as the bed. Only real complaint was blinds not very good at cutting out the light.

The property is far from city center
If you want to take public transportation you’ll habe to walk 15 mins to the bearest metro station
If you’re using uber its 15-20 mins to city center so wasn’t convenient at all and a bit expensive
The room is built in a weird way where the sink is right next to the bed ,the shower is open glass looking at the bed with no option of a curtain in case u were staying with a friend and the toilet was in an isolated space with no sink so if you use the toilet you have to get out of to wash your hands whichuu doesnt make any sense

Good accessibility to Station and Velvedere.

The room was nice and clean, but it was very small and no refrigerator. One downside was there were no blackout curtain. Only blinds were installed but it did not work properly. Location was good, staffs were friendly. Check in/out was smooth.

I was surprised when I entered the room and I saw the shower box and the sink are in the middle of the room. (Wasn’t shown similar photos like this when I booked). The toilet was separated in small room near the door which I didn’t like.

The industrial (ok office) chique feeling of this converted office block puts luxury on the bones of this building's past which is clearly evident in the scared concrete slab ceilings and original 1960's stair ways.
A great conversion decorated quirkily in 2010 style, a fun place to spend a few days.

Great stay close to the bus station

The staff on arrival ( a gentleman and Jane the dog) were fantastic. They saw my vip upgrade and made the adjustment. The room was cozy and comfortable. I was not offered my meal credit and the breakfast was just ok so that was a bummer. The girls when I checked out were also not helpful. Overall a great stay and I would definitely stay here again!

Modern style fun hotel with very comfortable beds. The staff are very helpful the hotel is close to the train station but a bit of a walk to the historic centre. The breakfast is very good but a little expensive if not included in your room rate.

Great stay! Our room was spacious and full of natural light. The staff, both front desk and restaurant, was friendly, professional and attentive. We really enjoyed the extended breakfast (brunch) hours at the weekends.

The other room we stayed at for the second night had black-out shades but no curtains. For better sleep quality, it would be great to have both as it got quite light after the sunrise.

Quirky hotel that we saw on the Travel Man so we thought since were in Vienna let's give it a try. So we did and it was great. The only thing missing for this hotel is a place to cool off ie: pool. The staff and hotel are great with a fantastic breakfast (but learn how to use a Commercial Nesspresso Machine before you stay or stand in a line of head tilting people). Loved the vibe of the place with a lot of world travelers.

Great food in the restaurant, the steak and burger were amazing.
Would definitely stay again.
The noise from the road out the front could keep a light sleeper awake, but we were fine wearing ear-plugs.
