I found the hotel really good in general - top location near Vienna’s main train station with shops open til late. The room was clean and uniquely designed with was fun. Hotel staff were super polite and helpful always. The free tea/coffee in the morning was a great bonus. If it was easier to contact the reception (no number provided, had to go down each time) and a few extra amenities in the room were provided (e.g. a safe) I would give the place 5/5. Amazing stay!

I booked and prepaid for a three-night stay in Vienna through Hotels.com. At check-in, the front desk informed me that the charge they were placing on my credit card was only a deposit/hold for incidentals.

Unfortunately, that representation was inaccurate.

After returning home, I discovered that the hotel charged my card again for the full cost of the room, despite the stay already being paid for through the booking platform. This resulted in two separate charges for the same three-night stay.

What is particularly concerning is the lack of response since then. I have contacted the hotel five times over the past week requesting clarification and resolution and have received no response whatsoever.

Errors can happen in hospitality operations. However, mischaracterizing a charge as a deposit and then failing to respond to multiple attempts to resolve a billing issue raises serious concerns about billing practices and customer service standards.

For transparency to future guests: if you book through Hotels.com or another third-party platform, I strongly recommend reviewing your credit card statement carefully after checkout to ensure you have not been charged twice.

I would appreciate a response from hotel management to resolve the duplicate charge and clarify the property’s billing practices.

The man that assisted us checking in, SEHAJ, was of tremendous service to my wife & I. His professionalism set the stage for an absolutely enjoyable experience. The Housekeeping and Breakfast Personnel were all top rated. Without reservation I would recommend Prize By Radisson to anyone searching for a wonderful Hotel Experience.

Lots of good points but also bad points about the hotel. Great location, nice and quiet, great bathroom with heated floor. No desk space, no kettle in the room, only one thin pillow and small duvet provided. Check in was fine but gave up after 20 minutes trying to order a drink from the bar one night as only one person was working the desk. Breakfast was basic and made me ill.

By far the WORST hotel I have stayed in. The self serve check in kiosk didn’t work for anyone who tried. Paper thin walls, the heavy room doors bang shut all morning and night. The staff looked untidy and unprofessional, with facial piercings, wearing hoodies and leggings, and unfriendly, argumentative attitudes. You’d never think they worked there.

After a late check in, we realized they had only given us one set of everything between two people - one towel, one blanket, one PILLOW. My partner went down at 1130pm to ask for another set, but had to wait as there was a lady extremely upset and with many more people waiting. She wanted to see a manager and the staff said there was none, and “that’s why this place is a disaster”. A different man helped my partner, asking for our room # and said he would bring up a pillow in 20-30 minutes. We did not find this acceptable, but what choice did we have?

After 40 minutes of waiting, my partner went back down at 1230am. The same guy remembered him and said they had been busy and had overbooked the hotel, even paying for a family to stay at the hotel next door. He then again asked for our room # so he could bring it up. Does that mean he didn’t even know what room to bring a pillow to all this time? My partner refused to accept this and said he would wait downstairs. It turns out several guests also had not received any pillows and were also waiting. The man agreed and went to grab the pillows. Why did that need 40 mins? Ridiculous.

Checkin was laborious - we had to type everything into the computer then the computer locked our reservation so we then had to write it out on a registration card. Not a good first impression.

Be aware that a 3-person room means a king bed, not three places for people to sleep. Our 10 year old slept on the hard floor.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing with a lot of options. Staff were all friendly.

The worst hotel experience I have ever had. Truly terrible.
Check-in took 1 hour and 10 minutes, and the reception staff were extremely agitated, unprofessional, and openly arguing with each other. Since I don’t speak German, I had no idea what was happening, but it was clear that there was a problem, one staff member was even crying. Their attitude toward guests was shockingly rude, and any question I asked was met with hostility and zero willingness to help.

Once I finally received my room, things only got worse. The room was very small, and the cleanliness was unacceptable. We found trash and personal belongings from previous guests, the walls were dirty, and the carpet was stained. The bathroom had empty soap dispensers, and the hall carpets outside the elevators were also filthy.

There are other hotels in the area at a similar price point. If you are considering staying here, save yourself the frustration and choose another property. I genuinely do not understand how Radisson allows a hotel like this to operate under their brand.

We booked a room for two adults with a double bed. The hotel, due to overbooking, only had one pillow and a single blanket. The staff advised they had no others, then they called their manager and advised more pillows and blankets were coming but we never saw any. My husband had to use my coat and his for a blanket and a sweater for a pillow. I have never used a hotel that didn’t have enough basic bedding for its guests.

Super basic hotel, budget, budget, budget. A good bed, warm and a TV if that's all you need then it's perfect. No extra in the room, no water, kettle, fridge etc no where to lock up belongings. A place to sleep in and forget about whilst you spend the rest of your time in Vienna. Moderate a review as you can get.

Great location - next to the train station: easy to get to airport or to take a train to a destination point. Also, not too far away from historical center.
Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was also good. Blanket was a bit surprising - too small even for one.
Staff on reception were nice and helpful.
The only cons is that the hotel is cashless - one needs to report in the bank about each beer taken in the bar.

I have never been to such a badly dedigned hotel. If the architect or builders stayed even 1 night here they wouldnt have built it like this.

The hotel was a short walk to the train station which was a plus, the room very clean and modern but it had limited amenities and the streaming on the tv did not work so no English channels. The staff were nice but we had to ask for towels and pillows. The bed was comfy but it is a very modern funky vibe that wasnt what we were looking for in Vienna!

I really enjoyed my 5 night stay here! Rooms are spacious and the location near the main railway station makes it easy to get into the center (or it’s not far to walk). Staff very helpful and efficient, room was impeccably clean. Some noise from trains or traffic depending on where room is…but in general this is a super hotel and I will gladly stay here again!

We arrived from Munich tired and with a hangover after attending Oktoberfest, we got in at 11 am hoping for an early check in and the staff was amazing and friendly. Did not expect a hotel owned/operated by Radisson in such a big city to not have:

Phones in the room - for every request you had to go to the reception;
No glasses for drinking water - had to get it from the reception;
No safe to keep our valuables;
No iron and ironing board - have to pay 30 Euros as deposit;
Not enough storage for clothes; and
No coffee machine in the room - luckily coffee was available in the morning for free.

The only good thing about this property is that it very close to the railway station.

Typical hotel near a main train station, more on the budget side, you have to ask for cups, fresh towels etc. no safe, breakfast was good and worth including in the price. Great Asian place next door and a rooftop bar 5 minutes away that’s recommended to get views of the city.

Well located next to Hbf station and very close to tram stop on line D into the city centre in around 20 mins. While a little far out, the transport was regular and well connected to the city. Comfortable well thought out room design. Despite being right next to the railway line, I didn't find this bothered my sleep at night. You could hear trains on occasion, but not enough to wake you.

This is what happens when the bean counters strip you of all the comforts and still call it „Hotel“ - The carpets on my floor halls hadn’t been vacuumed for more than a few weeks and we’re disgusting to look at. I had to check in myself through a dirty touchscreen and do the hotel staff’s job, still the staff seemed overwhelmed when checking in. The Room had barely what a youth hostel has. It was clean but cold and cold and didn’t have ANY conveniences. No fridge, no water boiler, no coffee, just nothing. Epic Fail. The name Raddisson should be removed from it, as it stood for quality foe many years- This time is over.

The facility looked recently renovated and the room was very clean. The location is very convenient, about 7min walk to the central station. I never felt unsafe when I walked on the street alone at night.

One thing that can be improved is to provide each room with a coffee maker. Grocery stores close at 8pm or even earlier on weekends. So make sure you buy bottled water in advance. Each bottle has 25 cents refundable deposit just like in Germany.

The location is convenient - close to the central train station and trams. Front desk staff were friendly. Breakfast was good - buffet - no separate omelet station.
The rooms were comfortable, but had no safe to store valuables, no closet or drawers to store clothes, no iron in room, and rooms are cleaned every 3 days - we were there for 2 nights, so never had our room cleaned.

Disappointing experience—accessibility and customer service let us down

We booked this accommodation via Expedia expecting a standard setup: one bed per person, including for our 9-year-old child who is autistic. Unfortunately, the booking details buried in the small print revealed that we were expected to share a bed with him—something that’s neither practical nor appropriate given his needs. This was a deeply frustrating surprise.

When we raised the issue with staff, we were met with rudeness, a lack of empathy, and zero willingness to help resolve the situation. We cancelled the booking, fully expecting to pay for the first night as per the stated terms. However, we were shocked to find that the remaining two nights were also withheld, despite not staying at all.

This experience left us feeling dismissed and penalized for a situation that could have been avoided with clearer communication and basic compassion. Families with accessibility needs deserve better transparency and support. Expedia should review how such critical information is presented—and how its partners treat guests in vulnerable situations.

No safe in the room, have nothing in a room
No safe for documents hasn't even a glass — just a bed.
No shampoo, only hand soap.
They gave me a paper cup for brushing my teeth. I even had to go and ask for the simplest things.
No one moved to help, no hospitality whatsoever.
I asked for water for my baby, and they couldn’t provide even this basic need.
The most terrible service I have experienced in my life.

Internet access good.
We did not eat in the hotel, but lots of bakeries, supermarkets and restaurants available. Most things closed on a Sunday in this area.
The rooms are large and spacious, but no real storage, for clothes.
No kettle, fridge, cups, glasses or teaspoons. No cups for toothbrush.
Shampoo/ bodywash/ soap not good for skin or hair.

You get what you pay for, I suppose. The hotel was clean but almost totally lacking in character. I understand it's trying to be as economical as possible, but certain basic things -- such as drinking glasses or reliable WiFi -- really aren't negotiable in this day and age. Slightly dodgy area as well. Not sure I'd stay here again.
