The word Exceptional was used in reference to this hotel , which was in my opinion not in the slightest
Checking in was done at a podium , first one and then move to the other , like an economy check in at an airport
The room was pretty uninspiring no phone , terrible wifi , that l had to use it off my iPhone sim, you had the option of room cleaned or a drink voucher , but not at the roof top bar because that was not part of the hotel , so ridiculous , the breakfast was chaotic , choices were average , the staff were very nice but very crowed later in the morning. The didn’t appear to be staff at reception late afternoon or coming back from dinner so you couldn’t ask any questions
So to call this hotel Exceptional in my opinion is truely misleading

Really easy check in, room was spacious and complete with all necessary amenities, nice gym and roof top. The staff even left a little note and gift as they new we were celebrating a special occasion. Great location, well served by all transports. Would recommend.

Mooons is perfectly situated for easy travel around Vienna via the nearby Wien hbf U-bahn. The rooftop bar is a must visit on a warm evening. The view over the city is beautiful.
They also offer 1x free drink in the downstairs bar for each person, per day if you opt out of room cleaning.

I like everything about The Mooons Hotel. It was super modern. My room was clean and efficient. I particularly enjoyed taking a shower everyday with that wonderful overhead spout.
I also enjoyed its wonderful roof lounge with its spectacular view of Vienna. The drink prices seemed reasonable as well. Another great feature was the hotel’s breakfast buffet. It had many healthy dishes. I kind of wished there was some sausages, ham or beacon to go along with the rest of my breakfast though!
Another great factor to the Mooons Hotel was its proximity to the Vienna Central Train Station.
I also greatly appreciated my room rate. It was extremely reasonable.
I must also commend the staff at the hotel. They were extremely friendly and helpful to me.
I ate dinner twice at the hotel restaurant. It was good. One criticism about the Pulled Hamburger menu choice would be to get rid of the potatoe chips and get either some French fries or vegetables instead.
All in all, I had a great eight day stay at The Mooons Hotel in Vienna.

We loved everything about this property. From thee moment we arrived, we were greeted and made to feel welcomed. Due to a schedule changed in travel plans, we had to book a single first night and then booked 4 additional nights. So, that meant a room change. Typically, this would mean a checkout, 3-4 hour wait for our room to be ready. Not at the Mooons, the change in rooms took no more than 15 minutes.
Now, the rooms - amazing! The circular window looking toward the center of Vienna so beautiful day or night. Very Clean room and the amenities such as waters, coffee/tea set up, safe, plenty of closet space.

Location - across from one of their major train stations (which we used with no effort) and their metro to central city area.

Our only regret was choosing not to have the room cleaned daily. We would opt for that at our next stay.

The shower floor was very slippery and there are no shower wall bars to hold when you slip. Very dangerous. They need non slip floor ot strips and wall bars.

A really enjoyable stay. I checked in on my Birthday and the hotel were kind enough to leave me a ‘Happy Birthday’ message with a small pot of chocolates in my room. The room itself was large enough with a great view from the window. The soundproofing was very good for the walls and the window (the hotel is located on a main road), and the blackout curtain also worked effectively

Staff were very attentive and kind. The location was great, being close to the main train station and right next to the U-Bahn station

The rooftop bar has some great views of the city. The hotel also offer a service where if you don’t want/need your room cleaning every day of your stay, you can exchange it for a free drink token to use in the ground floor bar

Overall, it was an excellent experience and I would definitely recommend staying here

Comfortable bed and pillow, small bathroom but worked well. Overhead shower and front handheld shower dispenser. Small refrigerator. Circular window where you can sit and read a book. Great location to get anywhere, the the hop-on hop off bus is 5-minute walk as is the main train station. A minute walk to Main downtown shopping area.
We did not use the bar or eat, also did not use the gym. We got there a little early but the lady was able to get us into our room which was extremely helpful. They also have a large drop off bag area in case your room is not available or you need to leave your bag after checkout. Plenty of places to eat and shop inside the main train terminal. Good food + supermarket.

This property was beautiful and unique! Very clean and lovely decor. Close to the tram that took us to city centre (even though you can walk) and right across the street from the train station. The staff were amazing and very friendly! The roof top bar was absolutely beautiful with great views! Staff up there were so friendly! Highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel has a great location (1 block from the train station). Our room had a lovely view, and it was very clean and modern.
Bed super comfortable, great shower. The check in procees was fast and easy, and we loved that the hotel has a rooftop with great views and drinks. We did not have breakfast there, but we went to the restaurant one night to have a late pizza with beer at 11 pm. I recommend it 100%

I was very unpleasantly surprised that they are using some external company to store your luggage for which you have to pay. And the options adore absurd! You pay about 6 euros for one large suitcase for 3h. And then the next option is 6h…Instead of using that room to keep the guest’s suitcases safe, they decided to make money off of it.

Great location and really gorgeous funky, hotel. Very easy self check in, helpful staff, great vibe before we even got to our room! We were lucky enough to be on the ninth floor and the view was incredible, the huge round window makes it look like a photo. I sent it to a friend who said it looked super imposed!
We went a floor up to the roof top bar and saw the most spectacular sunset. A fabulous stop off on our journey. Would definitely recommend.

Aside from the fun design, I particularly loved the rooftop bar, the well-stocked workout room (THE VIEW!!), and the option get a free glass of wine per day if you opt out of having your room cleaned.

The staff was really friendly and helpful too!

Hotel itself was lovely, it was very clean and the staff were very polite and helpful. We loved the bar area and the young lad on there was very friendly. Unfortunately we didn't get chance to experience the rooftop bar as it only opened on our last day and the times didn't fit in with our schedule. The breakfast was very nice too.

We had a very pleasant stay overall. One of the biggest advantages of this property is the location — being just a three-minute walk from the train station across the street made everything incredibly convenient, especially for travelers moving between cities. The noon checkout time was also extremely helpful. It allowed us to relax in the morning, go out for breakfast, leave our luggage, and comfortably return later to pick everything up before taking the train.

The room itself was very nice, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was helpful, and the overall experience was smooth and stress-free.

The only area where there is room for improvement is the breakfast selection. The breakfast appears to be primarily vegetarian, which may not appeal to every guest. Expanding the variety a bit and offering a broader assortment of breakfast options would make the experience even better for a wider range of travelers.

Overall, a very good stay and a property we would definitely consider again because of its comfort, convenience, and excellent location.

The hotel was a five minute walk from the trains and the metro. The bed was pretty comfortable. The room was quiet and dark. Breakfast included eggs, cold meat, fruit, cheese, bread, cereals and some hot dishes like mushrooms, broccoli, beans, cooked tomatoes. The location was great if you want to be close to public transportation. We took the metro to old town for dinner in the evening as there didn’t seem to be any interesting restaurants near by.

Great drinks but they could do better on options for the food not just pizza. Not everyone eat pizza and only pizza. It seemed very basic not much effort put into it. That was just my observation.

Mooons is a great location as it is close to the main train station, one of the subways and two of the above ground trolleys, making it very easy to get to any of the attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were modern and nice with comfortable beds. I would say it is a good value for the price paid.

We found the room to be unclean. The carpets are filthy and need replacing. I was thankful to have slippers. The walls and doors were dirty. Especially bathroom door.

Great hotel, which is a few minutes walk from the main train station and a five minute walk to Belvedere Palace. Staff were friendly, room was clean with a great view of the city! Didn’t have breakfast there, however the bar downstairs was lovely. There is a rooftop bar too, whilst it’s only open in the summer months, I did manage to get up there and the views were superb!

Beware- after many times in Vienna this is by far the worst place we’ve stayed. While the building is cool, it’s not located in the best area, across from the train station. The hotel gave the feeling of a discounted cruise line. The breakfast was subpar and vegetarian. 32 euro for breakfast was a joke. The staff was just straight up rude. We were given a room on the first floor, just above the reception. The elevator would not stop on our floor so we were told to take the stairs through the back of the house, kicking through towels just to make it up to our floor. We were interrupted twice during breakfast accused of not paying. We were followed outside of the building after we checked out online and leaving our keys at the desk, accused of not checking out. Everything about this hotel experience was aweful. Thankfully, we know Vienna a bit better and know this hotel is not a reflection of what the wonderful city has to offer.

Check in is unnecessarily complicated, especially if you’ve booked more than one room. Why can’t they just scan your passport like better hotels do??

Only there for 10-15 minutes before the electricity went off for approx 5 hours!! 😳 No one took control of the situation and kept us informed of what was happening, just left to fend for ourselves. No lift/TV/WIFI/AC or light in the bathroom! Finally offered free drinks at the hotel bar- but only allowed 2 SMALL beers or house wine over a 5 hour long wait! We weren’t even offered any drink of our choice- disgraceful!

Breakfast was extremely poor- no meats at all and just a choice of 2/3 cheeses. No bananas available, just apples. Selection of bread was poor as well. Wish i’d stayed in bed to be honest!
Easy checkout, but still no explanation or apology for the previous days failings. Would not return ever.

Great hotel, i got the room with city view, tidy, well designed, of course the first day i did not have slippers and tooth kit but they took care of it on the 2nd day. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is ALDI 5 minutes of walk works till 8pm only. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Vienna. Opera house 4 km away. Has a smoking yard in the 1st floor.
