We loved our stay here. The room was fantastic, spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfy. The location was ideal and we walked everywhere but the train station was just across the road. The staff were helpful and very polite. We would definitely stay here again!

Check in is unnecessarily complicated, especially if you’ve booked more than one room. Why can’t they just scan your passport like better hotels do??

Only there for 10-15 minutes before the electricity went off for approx 5 hours!! 😳 No one took control of the situation and kept us informed of what was happening, just left to fend for ourselves. No lift/TV/WIFI/AC or light in the bathroom! Finally offered free drinks at the hotel bar- but only allowed 2 SMALL beers or house wine over a 5 hour long wait! We weren’t even offered any drink of our choice- disgraceful!

Breakfast was extremely poor- no meats at all and just a choice of 2/3 cheeses. No bananas available, just apples. Selection of bread was poor as well. Wish i’d stayed in bed to be honest!
Easy checkout, but still no explanation or apology for the previous days failings. Would not return ever.

Great hotel, i got the room with city view, tidy, well designed, of course the first day i did not have slippers and tooth kit but they took care of it on the 2nd day. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is ALDI 5 minutes of walk works till 8pm only. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Vienna. Opera house 4 km away. Has a smoking yard in the 1st floor.

Let’s start with the pros:

-The location was GREAT…it’s just a few minutes from the central station which allowed me to use the public transportation with ease.
-The staff was phenomenal…they were always helpful and accommodating to what I needed

Now let’s get into the cons:

-One reason I choose Mooons was because they had a restaurant onsite which offered breakfast and dinner. Unfortunately, when I arrived I was told that the menu was vegetarian which was a HUGE disappointment. Had I known prior to booking, I most likely would have found a different hotel. I literally never ate dinner the entire time I was there and the breakfast options were extremely limited.
-The room was ok, but could definitely use some adjustments. Lets start with the fact that there’s no phone in any of the rooms SO whenever I needed anything I had to go down to the reception area to request what I needed.
-The tv had not one movie channel in English. For a week straight I was forced to watch only the news due to that being the only thing I understood. That issue was a huge problem for me particularly due to me becoming ill and not leaving my room for 2 days. I was miserable not being able to watch anything decent.

When someone is checking in, the space in the lobby becomes extremely limited: a bottleneck forms all the way to the entrance door, leaving virtually no room available, not even to sit down.
The rooms are small but clean, new, and well organized.
Overall, the hotel feels designed mainly for the summer season, as the common areas advertised—such as the garden and the rooftop—are not available in winter, and when the hotel is full, the remaining shared spaces are very limited.

The hotel was fine but I don’t think was really aligned with how high the ratings were. There is not really a front desk with a concierge so we were not able to order things to our room. And I didn’t realise the rooftop bar was only open air so closed during the winter months, and the rooftop bar seemed to be a big selling point for travellers to booth the hotel. The room was good but again, the hotel is nothing special.

Breakfast was vegetarian though you could preorder some clod meats at check in though this wasn’t offered to us. Room was clean and compact. Could use a little art. Had a garden view so quiet. Close to metro to get into centre. Some facilities around but more of a locals area. For the money it did the job well. Very good bathroom.

Mooons Vienna was ideal for our family trip. Chosen for location and quality of room, it was great. Really comfortable beds and quiet rooms. Loved the hotel bar and the staff were so helpful and knowledgeable. We only chose breakfast on the last day, excellent choices. (No nut allergy info on the food which was a bit of an issue but otherwise all good). Would recommend this hotel and stay again if visiting Vienna.

The room was amazing, some of the best views we have ever had in a hotel, was absolutely spotless and had great amenities.
You can opt out of having the room cleaned each day in return for drinks vouchers at the bar, which we chose to do, but even then they make your bed and fill your amenities each day.
The bar in the hotel is also great, with a relaxed vibe and a great range of drinks; including cocktails.
If you’re looking for modern luxury in the heart of Vienna, with great views, immaculate rooms and well within reach of all the best things to do in Vienna - this is the place for you.

Toom very small and warm air con not working moved rooms it wasnt much better there. Hanging space in wardrobe was terrible as was the height of it. The only ate you could sit to get ready had coat hangers all over the dresser area one if the worst room designs ive seen. Maid service at 8am like a demolition crew. 4 bottles if water cost 23 euro. Mooons is a lovely hotel located not far from Vienna main station. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room, although small, was very clean. Personally I would have liked a chair in room as visitors have to sit on bed. It was a great base to get around all the attractions and Xmas markets.

The only thing I wasn’t thrilled with was the lack of reception area for if you had any questions or needed help, no phone in the room to call down if you needed help. We really enjoyed our week here at the end of October. The proximity to the main train station worked for us as we toured around Austria and other cities in Europe on day trips. The tram into the inner stadt was close by and it was a small matter of minutes to our Vienna destinations. The hotel is clean and quiet and the staff super friendly and supportive. We didn't eat at the hotel but occasionally had a drink at the bar. We had a roadside room but couldn't hear the traffic. I had read that some reviewers found the rooms too small, we had a standard and it was ample big enough with lots of storage etc. Our only small issue was we found the room a little too warm at times even with aircon on but this wouldn't stop us from recommending this hotel to anyone who reads this review. Perfect hotel for those who plan to be on the move especially.

We had a completely trouble free and very pleasant stay here. The facilities, food, staff and decor were all amazing. I would recommend this to anyone when they are visiting Vienna. It is also about a 2 min walk from Belvedere which was a really good sight to take in straight away on arrival. Loved it all ❤️

Such a great hotel for a long weekend break, the rooms are well appointed, clean and functional with a feel of premium about them.

Room service was excellent and the breakfast is a must, such a wide variety of choice and quality.. don’t miss out.

Location is a 20 minute walk from the city centre which in the nice weather we had was a pleasure, not so sure in the cold and wet, but it was perfect for us and its location is across the road from the main train station for easy access to the airport.

Roof top bar is nice, again, if the weather is good, overall this was an excellent choice and well priced with quality room and service.

We came for a long weekend stay with a city view. Upon arrival we were told that we could sacrifice daily cleaning for a drink token for each night of our stay. This also allowed for us to request fresh towels or any replacement amenities without issue. We took this offer and took use of the bar for a nightcap when returning from our days out.

The location is excellent, being a couple of minutes away from the central train station while also being walking distance from some of the main touristic areas of Vienna, including St Stephen’s Cathedral. The hotel is very modern and really clean and the staff were really polite and friendly.

My wife and I spent a week at Mooons exploring the city staying in a Quartier Belvedere room.
The hotel is quite new and is in excellent condition, our room was small but well designed - we found the space worked well - particularly the compact bathroom which had an excellent shower, and the wardrobe unit also provided a good amount of storage space. The view from the room across the adjacent buildings’ rooftops was interesting and pleasant - despite this class of room being the cheapest because of its outlook. The only thing we disliked about the room was the two mugs provided for making tea and coffee - which did not have handles - we found these got exceptionally hot when water from the kettle was poured into them and to make things worse they were slippery and difficult to hold without a handle - particularly when so hot.
We found all the staff we encountered at the hotel were polite and helpful, and spoke excellent English. The buffet breakfast provided for a charge by the hotel is quite restricted, but adequate - although vegetarian only.The hotel’s location is excellent being a few minutes walk from the main Wein Hauptbahnhof railway station with full access to the underground and tram systems for travel around the city.
Overall, we felt this was an excellent mid range hotel to use as a base for exploring the city.

The modern, sizable room, shower and location were fantastic. Roof top has great views of the city and was staffed with friendly bartenders.

The check-in process needs a lot of work. Even though I checked in online as requested (several times actually, bc I never got a clean confirmation) I still had to wait in line to get access to my key. The lobby gets so crowded that it's hard to navigate. The online system does NOT seem to be in synch with the systems at the small, unmanned check-in counters. Staff hides behind glass windows so that interaction guests is difficult.
