We stayed at Hotel Topazz & Lamée and had the BEST experience! When we checked in, they upgraded us to a suite, and it was absolutely gorgeous — huge windows, beautiful design, and the most amazing view of Vienna. The staff was so friendly and made us feel completely taken care of. The location is perfect for walking everywhere. We loved our stay from start to finish, and the room was worth every single penny. I’d come back in a heartbeat!

Staff is superb. Location ideal. We had numerous electrical issues with the room - switches not working, blinds inoperative - which they were not able to address due to the holidays. Aside from that our stay was wonderful. Breakfast is good. Location is perfect, close to St. Stephan’s Cathedral and high end shopping areas. Plenty of dining options nearby. Metro is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Taxi stand immediately outside the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooftop bar overlooks the city. For a Christmas and New Year’s location it was perfect.

The hotel was in a good area close enough to walk to many attractions. It looked nicer in the pictures but it was fine and the bed was comfortable. The bathrooms were nice. It was a little beat up and a little dated. The staff always had storage doors open that were not kept very neat between the front desk and the elevator. It made the hotel not feel very nice.

Great hotel. Prime location. And I mean right there. You can walk out the doors and you’re right in the middle of it all. Restaurants. Shopping. A few landmarks/ museums etc. that’s what we picked this hotel for. Was because we did not have to wasn’t a whole bunch of time catching buses/metro etc. we did venture out. But the main stuff was right by us. Loved Vienna

The hotel and room are not in a good condition.
Room was not clean enough and its Visibility was quite poor. We paid a lot for the room and expected for much more. Definitely not value for money!
The staff at the reception were great and very helpful.
The location is perfect- very walkable to main sights and attractions and close to the metro station.
Breakfast was excellent with a large variety.

Prestige room in Topazz was interesting. Big windows were great but had to keep the drapes closed at all times for privacy. The glass wall in the bathroom provided for a lovely view outside from the toilet and shower 😆. The room was comfy though and clean and we very much enjoyed our stay. Would stay again but maybe not the prestige room. 🙂

Although we stayed in their annex across the street we actually liked it better. The room was amazing with great hot water pressure in the Mable clad shower and bath.
The beds were soft and sumptuous with feather comforters
Our building featured a roof top bar with fur covered chairs that was definitely the place to be on a Saturday night.
There was a cafe adjacent to our building where we had breakfast every morning.
The hotel could not be better located in the city, we could see Saint Stephen’s Cathedral from our window.

Room okay ish, and great locations.

Room on the 1st floor overlooking the street, room was visible to the shoppers in the supermarket opposite, room had no curtains other than blackout curtains that made the room so dark.

There is no on site bar!!!!! The bar is across a very busy road, once there we were told it was too cold to take the shutters down so just a really just a basic bar in a building opposite the hotel.

The Topazz stands out in style and experience

We had the penthouse. It is a really nice room. You have the entire floor, a balcony that wraps around two sides of it with amazing views.

The living room and bedroom has walls of glass that look out to the balcony. There are plenty of curtains to cover every inch of it.

The breakfast found on level -1 is really good. Wide range of traditional breakfast item form Europe or made to order breakfast as well.

Staff is also very friendly and helpful.

Our stay was very pleasant. I would stay again.

The hotel is in a very close proximity to Stephanplatz and therefore experiences constant noise day and night. The building where we stayed has a rooftop bar and because of that, and especially on the weekend, the parade in and out of the building in non-stop. Often young and noisy costumers and using the elevator becomes a mission impossible. Lastly, the charge of breakfast is 33Euro per guest, which seems very exaggerated

The lack of a Hotel information folder in room and feeling that our room door was not properly locked were my main issues. The door closed fine but how could I tell it was locked? The lighting in the room was confusing and lights wouldn't work unless main switch at room door was on. The house keeping staff kept strange hours and wanted to commence cleaning at 4pm!! The parts they did clean were spotless and plenty of towels. Very modern decor with a lovely Rooftop Bar. I think this hotel would suit a younger couple best.

Hotel location is great, but to noise in the evenings, someday I could not sleep until 4:00am because of street noise. Wonderful stuff in front desk. Overall hotel is nice,but new-cheep remodeling, be careful of heavy wooden sides, especially in bathroom. One of the drawer’s cover almost felt on my feet.
Had a bad experience with rooftop bar, ordered a drink ( Empress) which included grapefruit, 5 minutes after they served the drinks, the manager and waitress came and started looking at my glass and the manager grabbed the drink from my hand very rapidly and told that it was something else, something cheaper than my order. I told them that it’s ok, whatever, I don’t need anything else. We paid and left shortly. They have to follow the work ethics and be better in service.

We stayed in the Lamee building of Topazz and Lamee. We had a cozy category and the room was quite large and the shower was exceptional. It was nice that the toilet area was separate. Lamee has a very nice rooftop bar that we visited a few times on the 18th floor. We were situated so close to restaurants, shopping, the canals, and all the historic sites. Cleaning left a little to be desired but other than that, we liked the room and loved the area!

I booked the place as it had a rooftop bar, but unfortunately was extremely disappointed! It was not what I expected, tables nearly touching each other which meant you were unable to move around to see the view and as smoking is still allowed in bars and restaurants it made for a very unpleasant experience! Would not bother visiting if you were planning to do so!

This hotel was very close to attractions and extremely walkable. Also, it was close to a metro stop. It could use some repairs and upgrades. Our bathtub had a leaky faucet.
We requested an iron and was told they would bring it. They did not. We requested again the next day because we had an event we were going to and wanted to iron our dress clothes. Unfortunately, once again, they said they would bring an iron and then did not. Other than that, our stay was good and the hotel was fine.

We booked a top-floor \"Signature Suite\" in the Lamee building, which is one of 3, and it was a beautiful corner suite with views to two sides and a large patio. The room was beautiful and large. The staff was excellent from start to finish. We searched several hotels in the area and found this location to be perfect and the views, especially from its rooftop bar, are excellent.

The establishment was definitely not what I expected at the price I paid for a few days. I reserved the signature suite but it seemed like a regular room. There really wasn’t anything special about it compared to other hotels. On one day we asked for the room to be cleaned. The only thing that was done was the bed was made. The towels weren’t changed and we weren’t given extra toiletries. A few of the curtains were hanging off of the rail from being pulled too hard from previous guests but was never fixed. I was quite disappointed as I could’ve gotten better accommodations somewhere else.

Misleading photos and poor service. Unfortunately, our entire experience at Hotel Topazz was a disappointment, from the moment we arrived until the early morning checkout.

I’ll start by saying that I have Platinum status, and it’s usually nice to receive some recognition or benefits — but not here. We arrived at 2:00 PM, and the manager at reception was unfriendly and completely unhelpful. Without even checking the system, he informed me that rooms would only be available after 3:00 PM and that no upgrades were possible because the hotel was fully booked. Ironically, I checked online right away- plenty of rooms were still available. So he was simply not telling the truth. I asked to speak with a supervisor, and he refused.

One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was the beautiful rooftop terrace shown in the photos- I imagined relaxing there while enjoying Vienna. But here’s the shocker: there is no rooftop terrace at all. The terrace you see in the pictures on Expedia and other sites is actually located in a different building across the street, which no longer belongs to the hotel. It’s now a bar with a completely different interior and concept. I couldn’t believe the level of misrepresentation.
The room itself was small, worn, and outdated. Yes, the round windows are unique, but that’s about it. I truly don’t understand the high ratings this hotel gets- to me, it felt like a scam and a huge letdown.
We checked at 5:00 AM and- there was no one at the reception.

The property is in a great location Nd the staff were friendly. Unfortunately our room was not clean when we arrived. Staff had to send someone up to reclean the bathroom. The airconditioning was very weak. Our room was very dusty and we had to request request housekeeping for a thorough dusting and vacuuming the second day of our stay.

The property was centrally located which was brilliant. Most of the sites we were walkable to and the metro was only about five minutes away. The staff were all really friendly and helpful on the reception and at breakfast. When we arrived we were given a leaflet with recommenced restaurants and a foldable map which was really helpful. At breakfast each day there was a great selection and we could order freshly cooked foods. On arrival we had a bottle of wine, there were robes, slippers an umbrella and I especially liked the shower. The view was really good too. In the breakfast room there was also tea and coffee available all day with some snacks like fruit which was great. We would definitely stay here if we came back to Vienna it was well worth the money.

Plumbing and electrical issues in the room (strong sewage smell from drains; bath sink light switch worked sometimes, other times not) and television had no signal and batteries were dead in the remote control.
That said, the staff was excellent—friendly and responsive—and the location and view from the room were both great. Overall, a bit pricey for the experience.
