No I was very disappointed. My room had bed bugs and i was but really bad .which means things are not cleaned or checked as they should be . I do not want to return here as that problem continues im upset beyond measures.

The room was dirty and they had roaches. The staff was friendly but they weren’t able to resolve much or offer compensation. The food was only decent once out of a 10 day stay. After seeing roaches we ate elsewhere. Horrible experience. Will upload pictures under Google review. I would suggest the owners renovate all the rooms and give it a good cleaning. It’s located in a great location. The pictures on Expedia are not for all rooms. The cabana rooms were smaller and unkempt.

Unbelievable, beyond neglected. Room dirty, air condition not working, vents rusted, dirty and old, shower dirty old furniture with stains. I couldn’t believe this was an actual guest room more like a deposit with 2 beds and small refrigerator. When brought up to the attention to move to another room and I specifically said please do not give this rooms to other guest. I am embarrassed to say this was once Hotel Panama. Not anymore. Believe me some Motels are better. Don’t waste your money here.

The service was not very good, and the facilities (the pool was full of mold and dirty) and the rooms were dusty and smelled damp. Honestly, it has really declined a lot. The food wasn’t very good either; it’s not like it used to be.

The room was not cleaned daily, did not receive fsce clothes for 3 days after asking daily, shower door could not close, loud concert with guest from off resort and the concert guests were sitting on my patio. Took my chairs and table and left bags of empty beer cans on my pstio

The first rooms on the first floor 141 & 139 was horrible. But the room was change to the 8 floor 801&806 the rooms was prefect nice an clean i loved them rooms. Staff was prefect even though i was mad at them for putting us in the first rooms they still was professional.

The customer service and the restaurant was great! But, when it comes to the rooms it is not pleasant. The rooms need a urgent upgrade, repaint, and deep clean. As soon as you enter the rooms (booked two rooms) both had a bad smell, both baths had mold and taking a shower wasnt something you were enjoying. The windows are extremely dirty. Althought, the hotel is nice I do recommend an extreme attention to the rooms and baths.

We were placed on the 1st floor next to the conference room and there was an event which was loud. All we could hear was loud music. I asked to move and the guy at front desk and he said there were no available rooms. We arrived after 6pm and we were asking for towels until after 9pm. We were then told there were no clean towels. We had to whatever we had to dry. This was all one night
By the morning of the 2nd day we had maggots coming up the bathroom drain. However the young lady at front desk provided excellent service and changed the room immediately. The new room didnt have towels but she went to house keeping and brought them up. She went above and beyond. The room had mildew on the shower curtain and the ac vents needed cleaning. Other than that breakfast was good.

I was there with my mom for my birthday. The check in process was very slow, my room wasn’t ready and there were a few minor details with the aesthetics like no hot water at times and some repairs going on, but other than that my stay was nice. Very comfortable room and bed, courteous staff. Great driver to the airport (Luis)! I’m glad my room was far from the pool! The time I was there there was a huge pool party. Also the food in the main dining room was delicious! Thanks for a great stay!

The room was dirty when I checked in! As nice as the hotel is I was extremely disappointed! The Ford were very sorry and hair everywhere! I complained 4 times in 24hrs and no one came to clean so I just checked out and I need my money back I had to sleep on a sheet I travel with on the couch..

Overall we had a good experience at Hotel El Panama. The check-in staff was nice although we couldn't check in early. The pool was great, large and enough room to separate (sort of) from the kids area. The swim up bar had all the stools missing which was a bummer and a quick way to lose business cause we would have camped out over there! The room was pretty good. The bathroom and shower were wild. See through and not real sound barrier. You're one with your roommate! Hope you're not shy! The breakfast was decent as well. We did have pizza by the pool and it was fabulous! With all the options in Panama City, we'll try a new place next time.

The facilities and the hotel are fairly old and poorly maintained. The property was clean and Overall if they updated some of the stuff it would be a great hotel/stay. The breakfast was great but some of the people preparing the eggs were fairly inexperienced which resulted in long queues.

Customer service was slow it took them 3 days to fix an issue in our room (stayed for 7 nights)

The pool was really good but there is a tape filter they use for the water I am not sure why but that needs to be changed

Our stay was so very comfortable. The room was very clean and very roomy. We had a little issue with the first room that was assigned but the receptionist at the desk Laura Castillo immediately sorted us out with a much better room. The ambiance and pool area was lovely. Breakfast was exceptional. Local dishes available to choose from. There is also storage for your luggage after check out. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Yes the rooms were neglected, keys doors wouldn’t open and I went many times to the front desk, they did reset it and still didn’t work, Safety box didn’t work either, the phone number was broken. So I couldn’t called room service. Anytime I needed it something in the room I had to go at the front desk. Manager had a private party at the pool with his Gay Friends and a DJ so other kids couldn’t use that part of the pool anymore and DJ was so loud with loud music til 1am even thought pool was open til 8PM. It was Saturday. Buffet for lunch is 54$ per person and they were no one to ask for water, too many waiters and they were at the pool not at the restaurant. Check ins was so long and it was a Huge line.

Great resort feel in the middle of the city. Excellent breakfast and comfortable beds. I stayed at a room by the pool. I arrived 6
Hours late and exhausted but the girl at the front desk was very helpful and friendly.
In about 10 minutes walk I was in a great area with cool restaurants

Beautiful hotel with lots of amenities. However,
Front desk staff need to be flexible and hospitable. My 90yr old aunt traveled with me for a funeral. We arrived 25 minutes before checking and they refused us (strict rules/not allowed before 3:00pm)
Even when I told them her age. Unbelievable!

Breakfast is good, dining is great, pool is great, location is decent, but the hotel looks dated, the bathroom needs good scrubbing, and bedsheets could use more attention or replacement.

My room had a non-stop noise I eventually learnt to tolerate, it’d seem that some powerful engine was locked up in the sealed half of the wardrobe. This was the second room I changed to. My bed gave me intense body aches, and it was on my last night that I eventually got a lady to put a cushion over the bed.

Overall the stay was okay, what I didn’t like was, I had booked and paid for a room with 2 queen beds, however I was given a room with 2 double beds, which I should have been given what I paid for. The front desk staff tried their very best to get it sorted but wasn’t able to get a room with Queen beds, also the housekeeper Carolina Wellington was awesome!
