Buffet passable et resto spécialité exécrable, impossibilité de joindre les deux Riu adjacent pour les repas, spectacles si singuliers qu’on pourrait s’en passer, deux serveurs seulement pour les cocktails à la piscine pour plus de 300 personnes, pas de navette pour l’aéroport, vieil hôtel avec ameublement plutôt antique qui pourrait être rafraîchi, somme toute très déçu par rapport à ce que je suis habitué avec le groupe Riu.

Majority of Staff very friendly and helpful - Abraham and Mustafa went out of their way to make themselves helpful.
Imane did a great job on keeping our room clean.
Good choice of food for an all inclusive but could have offered a better beer - even if charging for it.
Pool area was good. Never made the private beach as they ran out of towels on the day we scheduled to go.
Given a room above the Zanzebar night club - which aside from banging music directly under your room until 2.00 7 nights a week - had the car park, which took until 3.30am to clear with constant beating of horns.
A hassle to change room, and new room had its own problems (electrical).
Reception staff were a let down. Robes missing from both rooms and never sorted. The room change - fobbed us off. on the day we couldn't get towels, also couldn't change Euros despite 4 staff AND Manager behind reception desk. They seemed surprised when I was unhappy at coming back at a later time when so many staff were free at time of request.

Despite issues above we enjoyed our stay.

Would come back to Agadir but would not stay here.

Very nice hotel, personalized welcome. Outdoor parking on site and secured by a guard. Relaxing atmosphere. Music by an on-site musician, which is much appreciated. Very nice pool, and close to the beach. Food so delicious that we didn't choose the à la carte restaurant.

Second visit to Agadir and had a great time. Impressed overall with hotel but some things were a bit irksome -trying to get a towel during the appropriate slot (just remembering the hours/finding someone nothing crazy) and pool bar running out of clean cups quite often. Usual reserving of loungers from early am but there are loads so not as much of a problem as in other places.

The staff was very friendly and catered to all our needs. We loved the shows that were every night and Khadijah was the best server ever and was super friendly and remembered our drinks every night. She really deserves a raise!!!

The only downfall was that the alcohol was cheap and there should be more options for beer.

I didn't have the best experience with the hotel staff at the front desk, and the service wasn't there. I think they were focusing on older English couples and a solo single black female travelling was not at the top of their list to provide service too.

Nous avons choisi votre établissement pour nous reposer quelques jours , certains de trouver le calme étant donné qu’exclusivement réservé aux adultes. Si le cadre et l’établissement parraissent agréable, notre séjour a été gâché pour des nuits en enfer: animation juste sous les chambres jusqu’à 23h au lieu de 22h puis relais avec la « musique » de boîte de nuit de 00h à 4h30 au lieu de 02h00 ( horaires sur votre application) sans compter les voitures, les Klaxons et les cris juste sous notre fenêtre. Notre lit vibrait avec les basses de la techno. Nous l’avons signalé plusieurs fois à la réception mais rien n’a été proposé ni fait alors que mon mari a un pacemaker et a eu un triple pontage. Nous avons signalé également différents manques et disfonctionnements mais à part nous dire oui oui, rien n’a été fait. Notre demande de réparation de la poignée de la porte de la chambre, la réclamation de peignoirs n’ont pas été traités: on attend toujours. Âgés de 84 et 85 ans, nous avons donc vécu un enfer: impossible de dormir. Impossible de se reposer autour de la piscine car tous les transats étaient déjà réservés dès la 1ere heure alors qu’il est spécifié qu’on ne le doit pas … La restauration est correcte et le personnel de service est gentil. nous avons dîner au restaurant typiquement marocain : nous n’avons pas eu le thé à la menthe qui devait clore le repas. Nous étions assis sur un canapé dont l’assise était bien trop basse par rapport à la hauteur de la table. inadapté

We arrived early and given our room immediately. View from room OK (cheapest). All restaurants and bars excellent. All staff lovely, friendly and professional.
The back of the hotel led straight onto a promenade which had assorted people selling their wears but one 'No thank you' was always accepted with good grace and no hassling. The beach seemed to go on forever.

False advertising. This property is not apart of the riu brand say like in Mexico locations. The dining options were poor & front staff is a bit standoff(-ish).
The maid staff was lovely but the property needs refurbishment, some wait staff were attentive others ignored you if they could. Beautiful beach and nice locals would go back to agadir not this property.

Absolutely wonderful! Lots of delicious choices at the buffet and the desserts were amazing. We actually preferred the buffet to the one ala carte restaurant we ate at. The room was clean large, beautiful and had a nice balcony with a pool and ocean view. All the staff, particularly at the bars and restaurants were extremely attentive. The trip was very relaxing and restorative. Lots of comfortable loungers by the pool and the beach. Enjoyed the evening entertainment. I had a massage at the spa, although a bit pricey, it was very good. There’s a nice wide walk way that runs along the beach. Nice for walking or running. We aren’t wine or coffee snobs (but we do find that these can sometimes be disappointing at some all-inclusive resorts) however we were quite satisfied with all the drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic. I drank mostly beer and white wine and my husband liked the rose (rosay). The other guests are polite ie. no obnoxious party animals. I would definitely recommend Tikida Beach Adults Only.

We tried to book an ocean-view room via expedia but could only book partial view. I mentioned this to the hotel upon arrival and we were given the full ocean view room which made a big difference to our stay. The staff and service were excellent. Unlimited food and drinks all day!
The only issue we had was that 2 single beds were joined up as a double bed which wasn't ideal.

A lovely warm welcome at check in and a beautiful seafront room a bit dated but comfortable. The debacle with the sun beds is a bit infuriating I saw people putting towels on beds at 6am whilst I went for my morning run and then not return to late in the day and other people turning up and not being able to get a bed . The buffet was nice but if you want to be served your dinner there are only 35 spaces in the a la carte restaurant and apparently you have to email before your visit to be able to get a reservation… overall it’s a lovely hotel on the beachfront

Hotel was lovely and clean, nice pool with plenty of loungers and great atmosphere around the pool, beach front location, good gym facility.
Good timing for all meal times although there was not what I would call a nice variety of foods and this is something that could be improved upon.
Good entertainment in the evenings with good interaction and encouraging participation.
Lovely seating areas on the terrace and in reception.
Rooms were large with lots of space , one of the best rooms I’ve had in a hotel , bathroom was very nice with lovely large shower and comfortable beds with good AC and a ceiling fan. We had a sea view and a nice terrace.
WiFi could be a bit sketchy at times in some areas.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Cash machine in lobby.
I would go back!

The hotel itself was nice, very grand reception area however I had a few problems during my stay.
I was there for a business trip so my frustrations may not be the same as those of someone on holiday….
The water in the shower was never hot, it was Luke warm at best, the water in the sink didn’t drain away for hours and the smell of smoke in a non smoking hotel was awful!

Clean spacious comfortable room with beautiful view over te pool and sea. Excelkent service from friendly plesant staff. Kobby area and punloc areakepr beautifully clean with lovy ambiance. Our room was over the nightvlub and very noisy once dusco stattrd at 11pm therefore in future would request a room vloser to the promanade/seafront. We stayed for 5 days with my family, the expedia booking messed up the room time, we didn't have sea view room, however booked sea view. The hotel stuff was very helpful and responsive and they provided us with great room after few days. Mohamed and Yusem were very helpful.

The food was good, the hotel condition was good. We didn't really like dress code for the evening lunch since mens were forced to wear pants. If was a big problem since there was 35C (100F) during our stay even in the evening.

Be careful with Agadir beach, it's not as well maintained as european beaches. There were a lot of camel poops, trash, glass and even some artificial pins. 2 people from our family had legs cracks, nothing serious, but not pleasing experience.

Read this before booking the RIU Tikida Beach

I have traveled to many different countries and stayed at various resorts. I booked the RIU after reading the reviews and was skeptical about some of the negative comments. I'm no longer skeptical. This is AT BEST a 3 star hotel because of their service. period. However, given the area, this is one of the nicest hotels in Agadir. The property is very nice.

Pros: hotel rooms are very clean, nice bathroom layout, bottled water is unlimited, pool and grounds laid out very nicely. Many friendly people, tips will get you better services than others.

Cons: checkin was an absolute horrible experience if you didn't print your itinerary and bring it with you, food was just 'ok' - dinner was the best meal, don't try and exchange money at the hotel if there's any blemish on your bills. Several front desk staff completely useless. Luggage didn't get delivered to our room until we went back to the front desk and started to take it up ourselves, then they offered to help. Good luck getting decent chairs by the pool, people literally put towels out on chairs the night before and the hotel does nothing about it. They strictly enforce end times for meals and closing times. Watered down drinks (gave us gastroenteritis too). Don't ask for extra towels or even tip for it, they won't leave you more than 1.

Overall disappointed and Expedia customer service was absolutely no help. Not sure I will use expedia again either.

SIMPLY AMAZING HOTEL!

AMAZING! Do not let anyone else tell you otherwise. Perhaps one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. We were upgraded to the presidential suite upon arrival and have nothing but compliments to the hotel, staff members and the overall service.
Hotel is spotlessly clean and the food was to die for!
You will have everything you need here and a central location walking distance to pretty much everything.
Keep in mind Agadir is very small so enjoy your stay because I promise you will not regret it!
Perhaps my only positive constructivism was that the bar closes at midnight on the clock. The hotel guests are mostly and older crowd but if you are there for more fun do not let that stop you since the hotel is right next to the best club in Agadir or else you will find a very lived street a couple of blocks away. You will see mostly locals so it will give you the real experience. Agadir is a city of contrasts so enjoy it and you will fell in love with it!

The staff are very helpful and Yassine at the front desk deserves a special mention. The room comfort is very good and so is the cleanliness. If you book an all inclusive, it is amazing to get great food, snacks, and drinks almost all day.

The hotel was very clean, the rooms were always cleaned in a timely manner. The service was excellent whenever we called needing anything, it was done right away. The reception area upgraded us to a beach front room when the AC didn't seem to work in ours. The food was also great, there were so many choices and nonstop food service. When one area closes, the other food area opens. It's calm near the pool there are no distractions, there are also a lot of activities going on throughout the day like bow and arrow target shooting and Aqua aerobics.

Good fully inclusive deal with a good selection of food during our 5 day stay. Evening entertainment can get a bit repetitive. Alcohol spirits was OK but quality of wine was quite poor. Rooms were cleaned on a daily basis and to a very high standard. Hotel Spa had a massage deal which was really good value.

Myself and my better half decided to give Morocco a try and as we have never been before we did some research and found Riu Tikida Beach Hotel had good reviews so decided to try it out for our stay.
On arrival at our hotel we were both immediately happy we had booked Riu Beach Tikida,we received a warm welcome and reception staff were so helpful and warm,a pleasure to deal with.We also received a room upgrade to room 137 which had a beautiful sea view so needless to say we were both very happy.
We were shown to our room which was very spacious and well laid out and most importantly had plenty of storage space.The room had a separate bathroom and toilet which was a nice set up and also had seating area with seat and couch leading to a big balcony overlooking a wonderful sea view.The room far exceeded our expectations and having read some reviews from previous guests I could not see why anyone would be unhappy in these surroundings.
For breakfast we went to the main buffet and found a huge selection of both hot and cold foods,plenty of variety of drinks and both local and international cuisine.I am a fussy eater but could not fault the food served up in any way.The selection of food in general was such that you could go eat every day and have something different on each occasion.The staff were very friendly and spoke a number of languages which meant there was never any confusion with requests made for anything you required.
Having read people complain about the pool and beach with regard to sunbeds I can not understand why the negativity.We collected out beach towels each morning and had a choice of seats either by the pool or on the hotels private section on the beach.I had also read about the mist that covers Agadir and how little sun you see but during our stay we saw the mist for maybe one hour of one day and the rest of the stay we were bathed in glorious sunshine.
The only negative I could find was out of control of the hotel and that was the local vendors trying to sell their goods.They do not like to take no for an answer and on more than one occasion they became confrontational,best advice is to avoid eye contact and don't engage them,just politely say no and move on.In fairness this is a poor nation and these locals rely on tourism so it's to be expected they will try push a sale on you.
The pool had a swim up bar but this only served soft drinks,no harm but just be aware of this if taking it into consideration.Plenty of bars on site to choose from and all with good staff and service.
We were very happy to find that the hotel has a very well set up gym with plenty of machines and free weights,nice bonus if you enjoy working up a sweat during your stay.
If you like to party and are one for the nightlife then the hotel has it's own nightclub onsite,Papagayo.This we found to be the only let down with the hotel.Free entry but the price for a beer was 100MAD (€10.00) which we found to be very steep and especially given that you do not even get a full pint.It was no wonder the club was empty,a real pity as I'm sure if they charged reasonable prices then more people would choose to visit the club.It's only a minor quibble as the hotels bars serve until midnight so that was good enough for us.
I would recommend staying all inclusive as the value to be had is superb.
In closing I would say to anyone looking to head to Agadir that Riu Beach Hotel is a superb choice.Location,service,food and drink are top class and I would happily return again.Having previously been to Dominican Republic and Mexico I was wary of visiting Morocco due to negative reviews but in fairness the best way to find out about the place is to go visit for yourself.I guarantee you will be more than happy.
I look forward to visiting this wonderful establishment again and seeing familiar friendly faces.

Staff could not do enough for you, so friendly and helpful. Massive thanks to the main bar staff in the evenings!
Not a great deal of food choices but it was delicious, particularly the burgers at the pool.
Every inch of the hotel was spotless, loved the cat cafe as well!!

Excellent staff, pool and restaurants. The food was well prepared and varied most meal times but you could always book the fish or Moroccan restaurant if you wanted more variety. Drinks were plentiful and just a small tip to the waiter each day meant they were carried to the sun bed non stop!
The only negative would be the evening entertainment which was only average most nights.

Some concerns looking at reviews but on arrival treated very well quick check in and,delight, a suite not just a room.Rooms 909/910 short walk to the pool ,restaurants and bars and next door to the spa!! Very friendly staff except for the breakfast crew outside.The bar staff are brilliant and the entertainment staff great fun and not pushy. Great views from the main restaurant overlooking a fabulous beach.The sea can be rough with strong currents so be aware.The Moroccan restaurant was disappointing but the fish restaurant was excellent and well worth a visit, especially with lobster paella on the menu.Lunches were great fun outside,thanks to Ibrahim. Value for money. Would love to go back.

Hotel is pleasant and lots of areas to sit and rest. No WIFI in rooms only in lobby but in someways that is a good thing.
Needs better entertainment but other patrons seemed to like it as it was a rather older crowd. I'm over 50 but it was dire.
Food good for all meals and on the whole the staf were fairly pleasant.
Good grounds in hotel and other facilities basketball tennis boules etc.

Lovely food and grand space

The room was spacious, with a lovely balcony. The bed was so soft and inviting, and every single restaurant within the hotel always had great food. Even though the hotel was big with lots of guests, you never felt overcrowded or without private space. They had a lovely outdoor seating section, swimming pool, bar, buffet breakfast, buffet dinner, Moroccan themed restaurant, sea food, spa on resort.. and the hotel is beach front with their own section of the beach. We never had a problem of finding enough deck chairs on the beach, and the staff were always helpful with whatever query we had. Decor was beautiful in the hotel, with live entertainment every night. They have a nightclub on site, which I would say is the only downside, however this did not disrupt our sleep, but it would only affect you if you are staying in one of the rooms at the front end of the hotel. However, the staff were more than happy to relocate another couple on holiday to the other end of the hotel on request.

The Moroccan Minxes loved it.

All in all everything was exceptional but feel like we should have been warned about the noise in the rooms from the downstairs bar and club.

Since we couldn't beat them, we joined them.

Hotel works for Europeans. The food choices seem vast, but no flavor-Morocco food is rare. The entertainment at night is for people growing up in the 1950s western culture - would have been nice to have ethnic Morocco entertainment, since we flew to that country to experience their culture. The rooms are not worth the money & night staff is not willing to assist with changes/accommodate. If you want a hotel across from beach & feels like you are in a western country this is the hotel for you. If you are a smoker, this is your paradise, since hotel is filled with smoke, able to smoke everywhere. If you want a Morocco experience: friendly service, culture, food, entertainment, this is not the hotel for you.

Lost luggage by the airline. The hotel could not provide any basic toiletries. No conditicionner in the bathroom. Smelly toilets. Ridiculously small pool for the amount of guests.

Your relaxation is your problem

I had late check in, arriving from Marrakesh after a long trip to Sahara. Called to the hotel, asked about taxi, I was told they will call a taxi for me - no taxi, no any call. Upon arrival the guy at the reception was sleeping. Asked for smth to eat (at least any fruits) - was told the food is in ur fridge, which was empty, they just shrugged their shoulders carelessly. Was woken up in the morning by construction noises, looked out - instead if 'sea/pool view' which was advertised I had a view on the back yard with garbage. At the reception I was told that no solution could be found, coz they dont give sea/pool view to singles, I only can cancel the booking.
Breakfast was poor, they started to bring everything away 10 min before the time of breakfast 'closure'
Overall impression - it's a cow house, no, not in terms of cleanness or interior, but attitude towards customers, just making money, no passion. I highly recommend you Paradise Plage Yoga Spa and surfing, to where I moved and was happy - this is definitely 4-5 stars HIP hotel. To Tikida I wouldn't give more then 3-3,5 stars

great all inclusive for couples

Great beach location, we went in September, weather was just hot enough, and hotel was not too busy. Good choice of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks in all inclusive. Good strong cocktails, not watered down! Local wine was lovely too. Staff all very nice, but animation team deserve a special mention, they really make you feel welcome, and try to get everyone involved, somehow without being too pushy!
There were works going on on the roof of the courtyard outside our room, which I was not happy about as they did not tell us, we awoke to loud drilling and bashing on the first day whilst we took a nap in the afternoon. It didn't bother us much after that as we were out of the room most of the day after that. I would have asked to move if it had bothered us.
The view was not amazing from our room, you could see the ocean, but the main view was the next door hotel and the ugly alley between. Unfortunately, the way the hotel sits, I don't think many rooms have sea view proper.
Beach is very clean in this section, I think it is private. Pool was clean and water aerobics everyday was great, hubby enjoyed archery everyday and a private tennis lesson too...all inclusive!

Good hotel with friendly staff but staff do not understand english except the basics and found very difficult to explain or ask,limited hot foods and sweets for vegetarians who do not eat meat fish eggs,chicken .a lot of vegetarian dishes used meat stock and staff do not know wether the food contains or does not contain any of the above products.so you end up having to eat salads,and fruit daily

I was under the impresson that we had a balcony, when we got to our room, there was none, only a window. Later in the week when booking the spa they got our name from a list assigned to our room and the name was different, making me think that somebody else had our room..I asked about this but sometimes when you complain the staff lose their ability to speak english, which they had done earlier in the week, go figure. Apart from that the hotel was very good, the location was great and the bar, resturant staff were also great. Food in the buffet was ok, I have had better, but there were no complaints. The seafood resturant was a joke, and we ended up going back to the buffet. The moroccan resturant was good also.

Overall, my experience staying at this hotel was very good. The service by almost all staff was very good, the food had a good variety and it was good. The hotel was right on the beach and had a beautiful view. My only complaint was that my room was right above the pub and the discotheque so I was hearing the music from my room all night. Other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here at the end of January, Excellent hotel, staff could not do enough to help, would highly recommend and we will definately return. The bed was so comfy and clean, rooms cleaned daily, food well where do I start, all tastes catered for with mouth watering presentation, and plenty off it, very high standards in this hotel, from the cleaning to the service, we went for a lazy chill out week and really enjoyed it, great atmosphere friendly and relaxed, other guests are mostly European I am brushing up on my French for our return visit, only negative comment is the old folk getting up at sunrise to reserve sunbeds with towels.....

Tikada Beach Hotel, Agadir

My friend and myself shared a room at the Tikada Beach, Agadir in July 2010 for 3 nights. The journey from the airport takes about 30 mins and costs between 150 - 2 00 dirhams approx 12-14 pounds. Get a white taxi from outside the airport arrivals terminal.
The hotel is very well placed with a private beach at the edge of the complex, the all inclusive package is very good value, very high quality beers, wines & spirits. My friend is a vegan and stated that he had more choice of vegitarian and vegan food here than in any other hotel in the world and he has been travelling 40 years, for my part the meats, pastas, fish, fruit, veg etc were all of the highest quality. The hotel sticks to its Moroccan roots in the evening entertainment program, with local singers, entertainers, belly dancers etc coming in every night. The entertainment staff were all multi lingual and absolutely charming, hardworking and honest. They were constantly trying to involve even the quitest singles or couples in getting them up for a dance etc and the star entertainer would be on TV if he lived in the UK as a cross between Mr Motivator and Bobby Davro!
We went to the hotel to celebrate a friends birthday (they travelled seperately) and it could not be described as a location for a lads weekend, that said, for couples and famillies it was an ideal place to stay.
There are a couple of nightclubs built into the hotel that are not included in the all inclusive package that open to non residents and locals, they were quite expensive to drink in, but no bother from noise or traffic etc.
The hotel pool was safe, clean and large enough to accomadate lots of people easily. There was lots of day time entertainment, aqua aerobics, volleyball etc it was all done with a smile.
The beach is nice but like anywhere you must watch out for the colour of the flags as there are tricky tides etc but there are plenty of life guards and i never felt any hint of danger of any kind.
The hotel was a goog mixture of Dutch, Germans, French, Morocans and British
We were there while the 2010 world cup was on and watched 4 games during our short spell there, we were amazed how many nationalities turned up to support their teams during the games for which the staff opened up a conference room with big screens, air con and lots of seating to accomadate people as well as the usual tv room type place, they even carried up the beers from the bar for us so that we did not miss any of the games.
Overall this hotel is excellent, great staff, food, wine, facilities and accomadation, extremely well run with high class facilities that would suit couples of any age along with families with children. It would not suit the hen night / stag night / lads or girls weekend very much as it is a bit quite.

Wish we were still there

We had a ball. We were there at the beginning of November and the weather was hot with a sea breeze. The staff were professional, polite and very helpful. The younger staff members were full of fun and made us very welcome. The hotel is amazing from the champagne breakfast to the succulent evening meals. We have never eaten so much (not because of all inclusive but because we wanted to try everything). We were two women, travelling without our partners and felt very safe here. There is lots to do in the hotel, but we just spent our time on the beautiful beach a stone's throw away from the hotel. The room was enormous and very clean with everything you would need. We would definitely go back here and can recommend this hotel for both families (as there were a few of them there) and couples.

The hotel is nice and the staff are very helpful. The rooms are of a good standard. Only complaint I had was the food. The Breakfast, Lunch and evening meal buffets were virtually the same as one another. The a la carte restaurants are awful and we had to left the seafood restaurant after attempting to eat the starter. I would only stay at this hitel again if I was allowed to stay on a b&b basis and NOT all inclusive.
