Excellent little hotel that is run as well as one in a much higher price category. The friendly, helpful staff had thoughtfully allocated a quiet room but happily changed it to our preferred street view so we could soak up the buzzing atmosphere.

The location couldn’t be better for easily dipping in and out, right in the heart of all the attractions. Our double room was compact as expected but the good layout, generous storage and well placed facilities made it very liveable.

A gem of a place for a short city stay that we would gladly book again.

Lovely hotel with many of the original features of such an old building making it very interesting. The breakfast was varied and very tasty and the staff were kind and extremely helpful both at reception when we arrived and the following morning at breakfast. Good location for visiting the sights of Seville, though needed google maps to help us find it! Had a lovely rooftop terrace to look out on parts of the city and enjoy the peace and quiet. Would definitely recommend a stay there.

This hotel is in a great location with an excellent restaurant Easy to walk to attractions. The breakfast is very divers and everything we tried was great. Fresh orange juice, yum.
Only negative are the pillows. If I find myself in Seville again I would love to stay there again.

The hotel is great-getting there really sucks. It is on a tiny , pedestrian only street, tucked away in the old part of the city. I tried using my car’s GPS but it could not get us there. I think the hotel should note that the nearest drivable street is 200 yards away and that parking is in a public garage(that fills up) or on the street 300-400 yards away. We spent over an hour driving around trying to find the hotel and finding parking.
The hotel is very old world charming and staff helpful. Once you’re there most of the city’s famous attractions and hundreds of restaurants are within walking distance.

Room was clean but small. Bed & shower were the best of our entire trip with stays at six different hotels. Staff & communication with hotel was very good; it probably helps that the HM is one of a few Murillo properties. The desk staff was very responsive when we asked for hangers or had questions & I noted that they were very nice & professional when they dealt with other travelers too. The bathroom had a smell of sewage that seemed to be coming from the bidet. Hallways were narrow & I couldn't help but wonder about safety in an evacuation situation. Room had a safe & a desk but little room for setting clothes or luggage.

I do not recommend staying here. Our room was extremely loud. There is a restaurant right outside the hotel that’s open till 1am and all of the noise from people eating outside comes up into the room. Then when the restaurant finally closes at 1am, you get the noise of them cleaning up the restaurant so you hear chairs and tables dragging and dishes clanking. We asked to switch rooms and were told there were none available.

I don’t recommend getting the breakfast, it was not edible in my opinion. We skipped it the second morning despite having already paid for it.

The toilet kept breaking and the bed linens really need to be updated.

Overall a poor experience and I’m disappointed in this hotel. So disappointed that I’m figuring out if there’s a way to get a refund because this felt like a con to me.

Room was next to the lift so we had a constant stream of people standing outside our room talking and the lift going up and down

I had many choices when I booked my hotel but really no regrets having stayed there.
When you step out of the hotel, there is a restaurant called El Rincon de Murillo.
Their chocolate cake is to die for. Try it !
The only bad thing was the TV program.
No German or Italian or English channels.
Just Spanish without end....

The only significant drawback for me was that my room was extremely noisy, on the ground floor beside the elevator and a vending machine.

The location for this hotel is unbelievable. It’s within the walking distance of all the historic landmarks. A lot of restaurants with wonderful food is just around the corner. Hotel is offering a breakfast buffet, but I think it’s cheaper to eat outside, We really enjoyed staying at this hotel.

This hotel is in a great location, right in the heart of the Santa Cruz neighborhood, with narrow alleys, beautiful, historic architecture, and many tempting places to eat. The lobby has several interesting historical pieces; thankfully our room was modern and clean.
The alley outside the hotel is too narrow for cars, so our taxi dropped us about 50 yards away. It was no problem for us, but if you have a ton of luggage, or kids in strollers, it might be a bit challenging.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Murillo and would highly recommend it.
The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the city and within walking distance of all the main sites, which made exploring incredibly easy. The room was comfortable and very clean, a great place to come back to after a full day out.
The staff really stood out—they were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond. They even helped me print tickets that needed to be on paper, which I really appreciated.
Overall, a fantastic stay in an unbeatable location. I would definitely stay here again.

In a quiet central location, the only problems we had was they put us in a room (207) right next to the elevator which for the first night we had barely any sleep for the first few hours with people coming and going at late hours. Also, a horrible screeching noise not sure if it was from the elevator as well.

When we complained the next morning they moved us to another room which was much better. There was nothing offered to make it up to us, but we didn't ask either.
We were heading out and they said to pack our stuff and they would move it for us, not sure what happened but something was missing.

The day we left some other couple was also complaining about the elevator noise, so obviously they know about it, either they can't repair because that's the way it is or it's not being serviced regularly.

We paid for the breakfast for one morning and it was very good.

The staff were brilliant particularly one day when we were both ill thanks to a dodgy paella somewhere. We were room bound and then water was coming through the ceiling in our bathroom. They resolved that very quickly and not only that provided us free bottles of water as we were ill.

The hotel itself is in the old city area, found along a very narrow street. The decor was very historic, a lovely breakfast buffet both hot and cold.

I'd definitely stay here again thanks to the thoughtful staff.

Wow! This hotel is amazing. The location is so beautiful. The staff was nice and the breakfast was good. The only thing is our air conditioner wasn’t working right so we had to have the patio door open and it was very noisy. Also, the bed is hard. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location! About a 5 min walk to the Cathedral and Alcázar. Breakfast was average. There is a restaurant right outside the hotel as well. Amenities were average, definitely a little outdated. Rooms were a nice size. The first night we stayed, we had a terrible sleep. The walls were incredibly thin. You could hear people next door and upstairs slamming doors, talking, and moving furniture around. We requested a different room the following day, and the staff were very accommodating to us. We were switched to a different room right away and had a much better sleep. Over all, a good stay of your looking to stay right in the heart of Seville.

In the old part of town, down lots of alleyways. 5 minutes walk from the Cathedral, 5 minutes from Real Alcazar, 20 minutes from Plaza de Espania.
Such a lovely hotel, and the staff were so helpful.
Dont miss the rooftop terrace.

Once we settled in, the staff accompanied us to a nearby underground parking facility with their access. We were there for 3 nights, so we didn’t use the car till we left, and they got us out of the lot.

Hotel Murillo is close to the Cathedral and the Alcazar, but is tucked away in a quiet, cobblestoned lane. The hotel has character and charm with a good breakfast buffet. The staff is helpful. The only disappointment is that the terrace restaurant must be seasonal as it was closed during our stay in March.

Hotel does not operate air conditioning in February even if it’s needed. It’s still in heater mode for every room and can’t switch over to air conditioning mode until later in the year. Weird. We were too warm and couldn’t leave window open because of noise outside. Otherwise, hotel was pleasant and clean.

Although the building is old, the room was cleaner and nicer than I expected.
The only downside was that the room was a bit cold, which was uncomfortable, but fortunately there was an extra blanket in the closet. I also appreciated the complimentary bottle water provided in the mini fridge.
I would consider staying here again if I return to Seville.
