Clean hotel in a good neighborhood with restaurant, cafes and shopping

I was disappointed with my stay here. The staff seemed unhappy and unwelcoming, which affected the overall experience. In our room, water from the toilet was leaking through the floor, and the air conditioning worked very poorly, making the room uncomfortable. Additionally, the bath towels were extremely worn; while using one normally, it began to rip even more. Due to these issues, I would not recommend staying here.

Yes. The plumbing was old and you could smell poo. The electrical outs were old and my charging plug wouldnt stay connected and one of the outlet didnt work at all. A light switch wasnt secured to the wall. The breakfast was very basic: essentially scrambled eggs, soip and/or cereal. Other than that, the property was clean.

The hotel did not have water. Vera the receptionist knew the water was coming around 8:00pm or maybe not at all.
We checked in around 2:00pm flighting all day from Atlanta not able to shower.
Around 6:00pm my friend asked the receptionist to moved us to another hotel and she moved us to a partner hotel… why she didn’t do that in the first place???
She sent us walking with our bags to the other hotel, I won’t recommend this hotel at all.
We paid a taxi and the other hotel (Egina) charged us for 2 bottles of water…

The staff was excellent, but they speak very minimal English, so be ready. They were friendly, attentive and professional. Location is amazing, tree-lined clean streets near the university, restaurants, shops and it is quiet. Room super clear, comfortable with great view. But, the only lights were ceiling mounted flood lights, no lamps. The lights are super bright and a bit uncomfortable. Reading lamps were broken and hanging loose, and electrical outlets need replacing as they won't hold a plug securely. Other than that, excellent stay and we'd go back for sure.

This hotel is located in one of the safest neighbourhoods of Medellin, The Laureles. If you are looking for any type of food or drink, google it and you will find it 3-10 minutes walking away from this hotel. For example, the famous Mondongo restaurant is 7 minutes walking in a straight line. Any type of Colombian or western coffee is 3-5 minutes walking away. The Unicentro Shopping Mall is 15 minutes walking away. The hotel decoration is amazing … I loved the fish tank and guest sitting area on the second floor. The daily free buffet breakfast was very good … average compared to other hotels. My only issue is that the lead servant insists on serving hot drinks by himself. He did not allow to pour my own coffee. Oh… I forgot … the coffee is tasteless … hence, I opted to hot chocolate. The room is clean … the bed cover had a stain on it. There is an air condition unit and TV. There is a mini fridge. I liked the washroom despite the awkward shape. My biggest two issues with the room are: there is no Safe 😢 … and the room does not have windows and when you turn off the only light in the room which is the ceiling light, it is very dark and you cannot see anything. I encourage the property management to add a safe in the room and add a table light. Maybe property management needs to sleep a night in the room to live my experience. The reception staff were very friendly. Though, no one speaks English.

Be prepared for anyone in this area not to speak much English. These days with translation apps it's not that much of a deal. This area is a very safe area and has some options to dine. However, most attractions in Medellin are a long way from the hotel and require often navigating the heavy traffic so allow a lot of extra time reach any destination. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff friendly. The breakfasts are also good to get you started in the morning.

I had a good experience at this small hotel in Laurales. The area is great, a few mins walk to many supermarkets, restaurants, parks etc. Staff are friendly and attentive but don’t speak English, which is fine once you know basic Spanish. Breakfast is tasty and has a good variety. The rooms are a little outdated style wise but they have air conditioning (rare for Medellin) and good hot water. Overall good value!

Recently stayed there. Great location. Very safe. Great breakfast. No kunch or dinner. Hotel is about 40 rooms and only 2 housekeepers. A day ine was off and the other had to do all the rooms by herself. This is abuse. The ballheaded bellboy treats the housekeepers bad. He yells at them. Frontdesk clerks should be more polite to guest. Management should do something to these issues.

Great place to stay in Medellin.The location is in an upscale residential area and great restaurants, supermarkets and pharmacies (drogueria) are within walking distance. The bed is a bit too firm for us, we’re used to pillowtop. Very clean. A variety of Colombian and American fresh and delicious options for breakfast. Alejandro of the front desk answered and provided information about the places we wanted to see. The hotels.com page lists airport transportation as an ammenity but the hotel does NOT provide this service. Someone in our group had to return to the US for a family emergency and requested a cancellation of the remaining 2 nights but the hotel refused and they had to pay for 2 nights in which they couldn’t stay. Small refrigerators but no microwaves in the room.

Service was just not up to par. The lady at the reception was not friendly or helpful. Just kind of in a bad mood. The hotel, although dated, is well located near restaurants, bars, grocery stores. But the room is beyond basic. Not at all what was shown in pictures. The TV signal was very intermittent, wasn't able to watch a thing. Breakfast was too basic as well, but that is usually what it is in most Medellin hotels.

The price varied dramatically from weekday to weekend (triple on Friday of Tuesday). It was good value weekdays but poor value on the weekend when I was there. Wifi is good but severely restricts streaming services like Netflix so as to make it unusable. Good location, nice staff, quiet but only a few minute walk to restaurants.

Confusion over dates of reservation. Airline issues prevented me from making my Dec 2 reservation. Room paid for anyway. Dec 3 reservation fine but desk person claimed I had made a reservation for Dec 4 which was not correct. I spoke with them and hopefully that was sorted out. I am waiting to see if they billed me for Dec 4. I made a reservation at another hotel Ayenda1255 in Medellin and despite having charged my card they had no record of the reservation even though I received a confirmation of the action. A really nice boutique hotel. On a quiet street yet a short walk to commercial entities like restuarants, grocery stores, and the popular Carrera 70, with the Estadio station at the end of Cra. 70. Nice, clean, and good sized room and bathroom. Standard breakfast offered. Staff were eager to help with information and helped with tour booking.

The hotel is located in a very safe and nice neighborhood called Laureles. It’s in a central location of Medellin and close to many restaurants, bars, shopping center / mall, and grocery stores. It is safe to walk around at night. It’s less touristy than the El Poblado neighborhood and seems to be an area where the locals hang out at. The hotel is very clean. The bathroom is small and the walls are thin, so noise gets to the room. The bed is very firm so comfort could be an issue. On the whole, it’s good for a one or two night stay.
