What's good out for me while staying comfortably at Rondo was the charming mountain vibes and warm room to rest in after a long, cold drive. The lighting matched the temperature, with soft warm bulbs which for someone like me, I very much appreciate the soft ambience of the lamps. The bed was one of the comfiest with several fluffy pillows. I was tickled to read the \"extra comforts\" that were placed in the drawers, one being a beautiful wool blanket to add to the already fluffy comforter. My arrival was met by a beautifully, kind woman at the front desk and I felt like I was coming home. After a long treacherous drive through the snowy mountains, I couldn't hear asked for a better place to rest. Keep up the great work! I will return and highly recommend!

Amazingly quaint and quiet. Conveniently a short walk into old downtown. Charming, updated, well done with everything a person truly needs for simple pleasures. Coffee, tea, hair dryer, puffy pillows, clean sheets, comfortable bed I’d come back here anytime. Hands down a jewel hidden in downtown Golden. I’m sad I didn’t book more nights here but will definitely be back.

I stayed here with my dog on October 1st. Super affordable compared to others in the area. Really friendly and helpful staff.
Room was spacious and clean; linens were clean as was the appliances like the microwave and fridge. Heat worked great and the hot water was good. The motel is conveniently located and within quick distance to many great restaurants and stores. They are going through a renovation so the grounds aren't the best but it's decent for a quick stay. I loved the touch code door instead of a traditional key card.

There was black mould on one of the walls in the bathroom near the baseboards by the toilet and shower.
No main public garbage to be found on the property so had to leave my dogs poop bags outside the door until the morning.
Overall an ok place at an affordable rate for a quick stay with friendly staff.

There was a list in the room of how much it costs to replace every single item if damaged (from face cloth to mattress) which was a little off putting.

First off, I will acknowledge that most of the reviews of the hotels in Golden mention the high cost vs what you pay for, and this was no different. The standards of 2/3 star hotel/motels were over $350 (on a Tuesday!) so I opted for the $255 night at the Rondo. The hotel room was spacious, a bit run down, old beds and noisy AC. It was clean and comfortable though, overall not a bad experience.
The room I had was at the front of the building which just had one floor so there was no noise from anyone above, which was nice. There was a fridge and freezer that was a little smelly from the previous occupant's food, but not the end of the world.
Overall not a bad experience but extremely expensive for what you get.

Wonderful property! Very cozy and comfortable living situation, very convenient that there’s a mini kitchen area that has a microwave, kettle and mini fridge! Beds were super comfortable! My only suggestion for future guests at Rondo Motel is to make sure you bring some power banks as the outlets are pretty limited.
