When we entered our room, it was not clean at all the bed was completely messy and looked like it had not been made or prepared for new guests. My husband went to complain, and they gave us another room. However, that room was extremely cold, and the heater was turned off. I believe it is very disrespectful to any guest, especially families, to be given a room without the heater on. We were traveling with our 2-year-old son, and he was visibly cold, which was very upsetting.

To make matters worse, when my child went into the bathroom, the door almost fell on top of him. This is a serious safety hazard. I am attaching a photo for reference.

I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I want honesty to give him 0 start

The only truly redeeming aspects are a very reasonable transportation access from the airport were little other close by hotels exist and the significantly lower price over alternatives. This makes the shortcomings something that you have to accept. Perfect hotel if what you are looking is to save 200-300$ over alternatives nearby in order to catch a plane the next morning.

The outside looks like a run down flea market the price was $10 more upon arrival, our bed we so uncomfortable, i was like sleeping on rocks, we seen 2 cockroaches crawling around the day of our departure, i brung it to the desk clerks attention and they played it off like it was no big deal and it was a normal common everyday occasion.... would sleep in my car somewhere before ever going bad.

There were rats outside the building, the room we were first given had not been cleaned and the bed was unmade. The front desk person was very accommodating and seemed very busy as she was the only person there. We were given a second room but it didn’t have the beds we required. The front office person reduced the fee bc they had no other rooms. The room was dirty with peeling paint and stains on the chairs. I would not recommend staying here as we paid over $200 for one night.

Where to begin! We arrived to the front desk clerk on the phone with corporate billing and did not even acknowledge us for atleast 2-3 minutes. Then she stated it would be a few minutes. We waited approximately 15 minutes before she checked us in. She could had put corporate on hold and checked us in as ut only took 1minute to do so. While we waited I asked if there was a restroom to use, after our 4 hr. drive, she just threw up her hand and pointed in a direction behind her. I walked thru the lobby looking aimlessly for a restroom. To my surprise another guest told me where it was because there was no bathroom sign on the door. Once we finally got checked in, we went to our room and to our surprise, our rooms temperature was 60°f. I went to turn the heater on and the heating unit did not even work. We packed our stuff back into our bags and went back to front desk only to find a line of 3 guest waiting. Another 10 minute wait and we asked to get a room with a working heater. Clerk assinged us to another room, and to.our surprise, it was a double bed room, not a king as we reserved. But the heat worked so we accomadated. Well I wish we hadnt and just left to another hotel. The ckerk stuck us in a room directly between an active working prostitute that had several men coming and going every 30 minutes like clock work. Then in the other room beside us, there was a gentlemen dealing drugs, people coming and going every 10-15 minutes up until 2 am in the morning. ONLY 1500 WORDS

This isn’t even remotely what we were expecting. There’s a hole in the wall. The air conditioning doesn’t work. When it does work, it blows the entire curtain upwards and therefore we need to use a hair clip to secure it to the windowsill. Speaking of curtains, they don’t close all the way, so another hair clip needs to be used for that. The bathroom smells like cat pee. Pungent. The toilet doesn’t flush. The TV remote is sticky. There are hot wheels stickers plastered all over the fridge and microwave. The USB and outlets don’t work. There was dirt on some of the clean linens upon arrival. The beds make an awful creak when you move. People are entering the property at all hours and it’s LOUD. The neighborhood is sketchy with characters freely walking the parking lot. We literally parked right in front of registration for even a semblance of safety. The property is no more than a place to sleep— if that. The best thing it has going for it, is it boasts vinyl floors. At least those seem more sanitary than carpet.

Adequate if you just want a hot shower and a clean bed. The bed was comfortable and the heater worked well. My main problem is it says on hotel.com that this place is 4 miles from the airport. It is actually at least 11 miles from the airport. There are not a lot of creature comforts like in adequate place to hang your clothes because there were no hangers.

If you want a cheap place to lay your head this will work. The last few hooks on the curtains were falling off on the ends (we asked for someone to look at it and nobody came so we just used paperclips to at least hold it up). We asked for a second blanket and it took forever for the guy to bring it. He kept telling us “he was so busy and the only one). I even went down to the front desk to help vs him delivering it (since we were ready for bed), and got this big explanation as to he’s the only one and so busy. He has to go find it. We clearly were an inconvenience. The other staff were friendly during our interactions, but between that and our curtains we were ready to move on. But again if you don’t want fancy and are okay with a motel vs hotel vibe for decent price driving distance to Boston… this will work.

The location was a bit dicey, the exterior was depressing, the upstairs hallway couldn’t have been worse, old filthy damp smelly carpet. The room had new laminate floors and the linens/towels smelled fresh but there were also Christmas window clings on the window (in October) and the curtains were stained.

Nothing special about this hotel, except the free coffee and fluffy pillows. Bathroom smelled like cigarettes, maybe coming through the vent. Aluminum steps, which I was worried about hearing people climbing since my room was near them, surprisingly I didn’t. Early morning was not quiet, hear all noise in hall. Only one front desk person. Nothing to brag about, I just needed somewhere to sleep a short distance from Salem. Many food options in the area. Hotel was affordable though.

The room was fairly clean but the cloth chair was stained and dirty. The bathroom sink vanity was broken, hot water turn knob didn't work ie only cold water. Water leaked into the bottom of the vanity. The direction of the only working sink handle (on/off) worked backwards. The curtains were shredded, huge holes. The ice maker was out of service. I have pictures. Over all, I would not recommend this hotel.

I booked this in hopes of an easy & cheap accommodation before an early morning flight. It was neither and the experience was truly rough beyond low set expectations. The general hotel is NOT a Howard Johnson and is independently owned - please note this namesake of some level of quality is no longer there, despite the Google provided assurance. Originally not as many scathing reviews when I booked. The entire room was in poor and unhygienic condition. The linens were dirty (hairs in bed) and mysterious stains on most surfaces. Evidence of pests and roaches left much to be desired. I was not expecting a great experience but nothing this traumatic. The entire building feels unmarked and unsafe in condition. Large debris and trash in poorly lit hallway zones. I would never stay here again, and not recommend it to anyone under any circumstance.

There was no blanket to be found (for the bed) by the office staff. Just had a sheet and a sheet-like bedspread. The mattress was super saggy and had metal springs in it that hurt to sleep on. The bathroom sink was cracked. The doors to the rooms had to be slammed a few times to stay closed (even by the neighbors). The walls are thin, so every noise comes through. The office guy was very nice. The curtains looked as if they've never been washed... White stains on the brown curtains and dirty sheers with cigarette burns.

you have to keep in mind what you are paying .... public areas are looking pretty tiered - but the room itself was great - large with comfy beds, clean and recently decorated . No view - Window onto the corridor but again remember what you are paying! No food on site so come equipped. We arrived in the middle of the night and checkin was 24 hour and easy ..... great onenighter!

I arrived at the counter and the hostess immediately picked up a phone call and lefting me standing at the window for over 10 mins just staring through the plexiglass like I was in a bank. Not very welcoming!
After another 15 mins she finally assigned me a room, saying it was just outside the lobby, no directions. I had to figure it out ony own.
When I asked if any breakfast service was provided that I could buy, since there were no restaurants nearby, she just stared at me, then replied, \"No we don't do that here.\" She seemed more important gathering my $50 deposit to guard against theft of their \"room amenities,\" which wasn't me turned in the reservations.
After i found found my room, I began unpacking. Within 15 minutes, I had killed spotted and killed two cockroaches, after which I promptly requested another room. The second room was just as \"clean.\" No cockroaches, but the drapes had holes and tears in them. The vinyl flooring in the second room was also separating. The carpet in the open-air hallway outside the room looked like it was 10 yeasrs old and never cleaned.
The amenities in the lobby also sucked. The only ice machine in the place was broken. The vending machine was empty, and the free newspapers were over a week old.
In sum, the whole hotel had this vibe of a motel built in the late 1970s or early 1980s, after which it had never been refurbished or updated.
It's really a cringy, unclean one-star motel.

I would not recommend staying here. Our room was in terrible condition — we found a mouse inside and had to chase it out, plus there was a dead roach in the bathroom. The room was located in the back of the property where groups of people were hanging out late into the night right outside our door, and the area was littered with trash. There were no real amenities, the ice and vending machines were broken, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable — hard as a rock on a noisy metal frame that creaked with every movement. Overall, the property felt neglected and poorly maintained. Luckily since we booked through hotels.com I was able to cancel the second night stay and get a refund.

I booked a room for one night and didn’t even sleep there. I Found bugs in my room. housekeeping did nothing but sitting on stairs laughing and talking right outside my room. Then they went into my room while I was out and created trash in my room. Luckily all my valuables were still there but it’s like weird coming back to your room 11pm after you left at 7pm to see a empty cup of water sitting right next on ur nightstand next to all of ur belongings and know for sure you didn’t bring that cup in nor did the hotel even provide cups. The pictures online do not match this property. There was no breakfast as advertised. No coffee pot in the room. The linens, towels, floors were all dirty. The towels had hair stuck all over them. The mattresses had no mattress covers. The room smelled of stale smoke. None of the outlets worked. The fridge was covered in ice. The walls and hair dryer were covered in dirt, there was a burned hole in our floor, hair in the drain of the bathtub. The price for the room is overpriced for the conditions of the room and hotel. The hotel is licensed under Howard Johnson but is privately owned. It’s very misleading thinking you are staying at one places but deceived once you arrive.

The place was ugly from the outside just like the inside and smell bad I would not stay there again inside my was room wasn’t properly clean they was food on the floor and other peoples hair all over and so much more …

Cockaroaches dirty, crack shack of a hotel. Advertised breakfast. Had nothing. Lisa' at front desk was amazing. She put me in 1 of the renovated rooms in front on the second floor

Place was not as pictured. Rooms looked to have had roach infestation bcause there were few dead bodies. The hotel was not a Wyndham standard, i booked 2 nights because of the name but i will have second thoughts in the future booking anything from Wyndham. I just stayed 1 night even though i paid for two.
