Perfect for 3 night getaway with teens
Perfect place for family three nights away with teenagers.We spent most of the days at the pool by the Casa Azul, lovely breeze, never busy, and handy snack bar for drinks and food right there. Its a little hilly so prob not the best for anyone with mobility issues. Ate breakfast both mornings at the Alfarroba restaurant. (Tip: ordering off the a la carte menu is better value than the buffet but that nay have been because we got the buffet one day as it seemed to be finishing up). Mini market on the site stocks anything you need. Kids played mini golf one evening. The resort is not really walking distance to anything in the heat…maybe had it been cooler and we were there longer, we would have attempted to walk to old town. Ubers were about 6-8 euro into the old town or the strip and were easy enough to get- no waiting. We booked a three bed apartment that was in great condition but had slight sign of wear and tear, mainly with the light in the bathroom not staying on and one plug socket that had come away from the wall. Apartment had everything you could possibly need (washer, ironing board, good kitchen with dishwasher). Bathrooms seemed pretty new and shower had great water pressure. It was advertised as having one bathroom but when we got there, there were two which was a pleasant surprise with 5 people! Tip 2: We ordered groceries and food via Uber eats since it was late when we got there. Overall I was delighted with our time here and the facilities- perfect for us!

Spacious 3 bedrooms villa
We recently stayed in a 3-bedroom villa with a private pool. The villa itself was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for our group. While the furniture was a little outdated and could use some refreshing, it didn’t take away from our enjoyment. The real highlight was having our own private pool.

The reason I booked this property was because I was travelling alone and wished to stay on-site where possible in a safe, self contained site.
Check-in at 17:00 was inconvenient
All of the bars in the village were closed, the main pool was drained, and the heated pool was not heated. All of the buildings surround any pool that had water in were closed and locked with no access to anything offered in the 'village'. Signage on each building would send you to another building that was also closed with a sign sending you to another closed site - photos attached
The on-site supermarket was the only possibility of getting any food or drink. This was also closed most hours unexpectedly, and not stocked. There was no food on the shelves - photos attached
Midway through the stay it was clear someone had come to clean the room which consisted only of making the bed. However, any food and drink I had bought from the on-site shop or from other shops I had to find outside of the area was taken out of my room. I asked reception to give the items back to which they said they would find the cleaner, however would never get back to me saying they couldn't find them. It would have been good to have been notified about this as we needed to go out of the complex for food. Pool areas were lovely and big shout out to the lovely young lady working the bar and snack bar on here own.

Long walk up the hill to accommodation needed a map aswell bit tricky to find at night, people above us moving furniture all night. No late check out and very small luggage room, reception staff friendly and small shop very handy for bits. Never used restraunt or pools

And the studio was by the pool where rowdy guests swam nude and partied loudly into the wee hours. So disappointed.

We stayed here about 10 years ago and the place was immaculate. This time I felt that the apartments were a bit tired looking and in general the resort could do with a clean up. The apartment had everything you needed and was comfortable enough. We had a. Issue with the door not working in afternoons which appeared to be due to the heat which was never resolved. Casa Azul and Pool Bar food was good.

The apartment is located directly alongside a dual carriageway. The traffic noise was constant throughout the night. I complained and requested a move, however was told that there was nothing available. The only solution was to purchase some ear plugs!
I was part of a large family group and the rooms were not consistent. Some being very modern but others quite dated and it’s a lottery which one you are allocated.
The complex itself is quite a distance from the town so taxis are needed if you want to leave or explore.

Very worn bed sheets, smelly pillows. Shower was clogged causing flood everytime someone took a shower.

Stayed for one night, the apartment was comfortable. The one downside to checking in was the timing was quite late at 5pm. however as it’s was only one night, and the complex is huge, I tried to walk to reception twice in the space of 90 minutes upon checking into my room and became completely lost. As a solo traveller, being right at the top of the hill in the back end of nowhere, I didn’t feel the safest throughout the night. Being closer to the reception / main entrance area would have felt a little more secure. I didn’t get to try the amenities as it was a very early 10am check out time also. All in all a comfortable bed for the night, and great views from the balcony.

Wrong time of year!
Our apartment was spacious and had a well equipped kitchen with a large fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Basic dish soap and dishwasher tablet was provided. The apartment had a strange, musty odour which smelled a bit like stale smoke. Also, due to the weather, it was cold and felt a bit damp. The heaters all worked so that solved that problem. The sofa was not very comfortable to sit on and the beds were rather hard. The beds only had sheets and blankets which kept us warm but were a bit scratchy. Generally, I think in the summer the apartment would work a lot better as the windows would be open, the interior would be cool and there were three showers. At this time of year it all felt a bit chilly and musty. The pools and complex are well cared for and lovely. The staff were all very helpful and the walk into Albufeira only takes about 15 minutes.

Great except for building noise
A really nice place for relaxing winter sun. Comfortable apartment, well equipped and priced very reasonably. Only complaint is that the onsite maintenance work - presumably done while site is largely empty - meant that there was almost constant masonry drilling noise from about 8.30 to 4.30 every day. Detracted from pleasure of sitting out on lawn in sunshine. Otherwise excellent.

Great Accommodation, Less Great Position
We suffered a huge electric storm the night we stayed and water was driven under the sill of a window, soaking a sofa. That apart, accommodation was excellent. However, the complex is adjacent to a busy road and traffic noise was an issue for us. Also well outside of Albufeira. Not a problem in January when plenty of parking was available, but in height of summer would be problematic.

We were so excited to start our trip at Albufiera, the initial receptionist was nice and accommodating, he even let us check in early. Once we got to the room, we knew we were going to be using the sofa bed so we opened it to check it out. When we finally figured out how to get it open; we were greeted with a cockroach running around the entire bed. We finally were able to kill it and tried calling the reception desk and no one answered. So we walked down to the reception center, this place is huge with hardly any signs to show you where to go. And when we finally got there to complain at the reception desk, the younger female receptionist was so rude and stand offish. She asked if anyone was currently in the room and we told her no. We asked if we could get a ride back to pick up our things and she told us no one was available. It was such a long back to our room and when we finally got to the room to get our things, we ran into the maintenance staff leaving our room and as they walked back to their car we literally heard them mocking and making fun of us for being “scared” about cockroaches. Horrible experience.

Great place for a relaxing break. There are good facilities available, 4 pools, 2 good restaurants and a convince store. The accommodation is very spacious and well kept. Its about 25 mins walk from the town centre, along a well lite pathway.

The property itself (Villa Oleander) was fit for purpose, lovely size, great pool and hot tub BUT it wasn't clean. There are no glasses for wine/beer. No plastic glasses for outside to use by the pool. Only mugs and tiny slim glasses. All the dishes were dirty and there is a bad ant problem. They were crawling out of the kitchen drawers, the dishwasher and all over the work surface. It really wasn't clean at all. Ee arrived after the supermarket closed so couldnt even buy any washing up stuff and reception staff didnt care saying it wasn't their problem. We found the staff on site to be miserable and reluctant to help. After 3 complaints about the ants we were given a can of ant spray! Food at 2 of the restaurants on site (snack bar and one by reception) was great and staff were lovely. Walking (flat) into the old town took about 25 minutes and its away from main road. Taxis are cheap too. We had a great time as we made the most of it but disappointed as it could have been better if more effort had been made. It's not a cheap villa so avoid and spend your money elsewhere!

We were upgraded to an excellent suite - fully modernised, very well-equipped kitchen (fridge, freezer,washing machine, dishwasher). Staff very helpful - we arrived early but they arranged for us to get our room at 1pm. Great value.

We were only staying for one night, and the clothes dryer was not working. After letting the front desk know they moved us to another unit where the dryer was good but one of the rooms had no working heat and flickering light in one of the bathrooms. Moving rooms with two kids at 10pm at night is not ideal much less to have to do it twice!

Beds were extremly uncomfirable as they were hard, as was the uncomfortable couch...microwave plate was broken, the oven in the cooker wasn't working properly..the fridge froze the food..it was a big apartment but very very outdated, no basic items like washing up liquid, outside patio was filthy...tv channels not working properly due to poor quality of wifi...very disappointing after paying 1200 euro for 8 nights the resort it self was lovely, pools well maintained..the restaurant castle aszul was a lovely place to visit, food beautiful..customer care was excellent...Gilson looked after us very well, very pleasant and so helpful..

The welcome was warm and friendly and the complex huge but you can take short cuts via the stairs instead of using the roadways. We had a top floor 1 bed apartment which was a bus ride away from reception up a steep hill. The apartment had stunning views, clean and spacious. House-keeping came in everyday to clean up and change towels. One comment I would make is that there is no complimentary tea/coffee/milk sachets or washing up liquid/ tea towels to get you started on arrival until you can get to the shop. The restaurant’s on site were reasonable priced and the 4 pools clean. Was able to get sun beds at 11am no problem. Uber will become your best friend as that’s the only way to get around and into Albufeira old town the beach and surrounding attractions.

Email communication could have been better, sent 3 emails to confirm cot and transfer from the airport but had to end up getting a regular taxi which was twice the cost. The restaurants were nice and reasonable. The front desk staff were very helpful and pools were nice and lots of activities. Would stay again

Beautifully laid out village, with lovely gardens throughout. Everywhere is clean and well maintained, especially the pool areas. Very safe and secure. Easy access into Albufeira town itself, either by bus, taxi, or even walking along a safe path set away from the road.

Unfortunately on this occasion one of the bedrooms had an invading troop of ants, which were on the walls, ceiling and floor. When raised this with reception, just after arriving, who said housekeeping would be around asap. After two hours a tin of ant stray was delivered and the guy left immediately. We dealt with it ourselves, by emptying the room, straying everywhere (inside and out) and remaking the beds.
Rest of the stay was fine. Just disappointed with the start. Making us re-think future stays.

Nice property, managers were great. we stayed two nights.
Only small issues, unit was near the highway with some road noise and the cold water valve in the shower continued drip when shut off.
One major issue was the smell of the cleaning product used, it was overwhelming. we had to air out the unit and keep the bathroom door closed.
The resturant in the complex has good food and great service!

Got complimentary upgrade to a one bed apartment from studio. It was very clean. Nice modern bathroom but kitchen wasn’t as up to date as photos portrayed.

We were given room 132 to start, to day this was unacceptable is an understatement. Wouldn’t even get a rating, and this is considered 4*. Asked to move in the morning, had to go back 3 times to see various levels of manager, eventually changed room. This was more like it, however poor score from me as we lost half a day messing around. The one time we asked reception for advice we were greeted with a shrug of the shoulders. Basically if you get the right room this place is nice, make sure you ask for a room up by the heated pool.

We arrived late 09.35pm should have been there at 3pm due to delay in leaving at the airport. Staff were polite at the reception desk but could have smiled a bit more. We were told that the restaurant was open till 10.30pm so that we could get something to eat but when we went to restaurant it was closing but thankfully the staff there were very nice and served us. The apartment was very clean. The only thing that I could fault about it was that we didn't get any sunshine into it during the day or evening. We had cleaners in every day. The Pool and facilities were very clean and the lads had a great time at the pool daily. The staff at the restaurant beside the pool were very accommodating and friendly.

Great resort for a relaxing holiday. But request an apartment back from the main road because of the traffic noise. The resort is a fair way from Albufeira - about 40 mins walk. There is a bus service with a stop outside the resort. Taxis are available bookable through reception.

Great facilities on site , 4 swimming pools , everything onsite you need . 20 mins walk into Old Town reccomend taxi back as up step hill . Only negative is complex is hilly so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues & no lifts in apartment. Locks which some are 3 floors . But could request ground floor I suppose . Would definitely go again we had 2 bed superior apartment. Very spaciousWhich 2 bathrooms , double settee bed in lounge so suitable for 6. Fridge , freezer , dishwasher . Utility with washer drier iron , ironing board & maiden . No washing brought home as decided do it all there due to weather being wet at home n could dry it there ! Myself , hubby & 3 teenagers loved it .

The balcony big as it was, was so dirty, grass growing up between the tiles, broken chairs and sunbeds!

Arrived here after a slight Easyjet delay & was pleased that we were allowed to check in & actually get into our room at 2pm, as previous reviews had said it was 5pm. The rooms were a very good size & have everything you could need including a washer & dryer, toaster, coffee maker, microwave. We stayed in a 2 bed apartment & 1 room was ensuite. The rooms were clean but showed some signs of wear, particularly the floor which had several markings on the tiles.
We were given fresh towels daily if required, toilet roll & beds made, apart from Saturday. We left on Sunday so not sure if they do not work the weekend.
We were pleased to be given acomodation near to reception as the area is VERY steep hills. Our room backed onto one of the pools which was not too busy, despite the usual towels being placed out very early ! The whole area is well maintained & quite pretty, We walked around to see the other pools from the map reception had handed us.All nicely presented with the main pool having some activities so that made it the noisiest. At the top of the hill the blue building is a restaurant/ snack bar & this is the only 1 we used. Staff here very helpful & friendly--they should maybe train some of the reception staff !

Not what I was expecting!
I really enjoyed my time here! Went for a week, in a superior apartment (room 392) and was expecting something small, but with the bits that we'd need (fridge, oven etc)... On arrival, we were greeted with something quite lovely. The apartment was massive for 2 people, it had a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, full living room with sofa bed, TV, dinner table and chairs. Large bedroom, with chest of drawers, cupboard and safe. It also had a hairdryer, ironing board and clothes drying rack. Most special of the lot was our balcony, it was huge. It was bigger than the apartment, had 3 sunbeds, tables, chairs and had wonderful views over all around. We were 2 mins from 1 of 4 pools... There's a quiet pool that the staff didn't tell us about up by the Blue Restaurant at the top of the resort, which is smaller and a lot quieter than the main three.

Good size apartment all though it was in need of restoration and modernisation. The apartment had no air conditioning and we had no hot water for 3 days, the iron didn't work but did manage to get another one after asking a few times. Not to bad overall but would not choose to stay here again.

Some apartments are tired and dated and it's a bit pot luck what you get as many I think are privately owned but they are adequate. The grounds and pool areas are lovely and well maintained.Staff and food at restaurant Pavilhao are great. Need a taxi to get to town although there is a shuttle bus at 10am and 5pm. Had a relaxed and enjoyable week

Clube Alberfeira exceeded my expectations. The apartment was excellent, very spacious and well appointed. It had every bit of equipment and gadgets that you could possibly need incuding a dishwasher. The views were lovely from our apartment and we had our own bit of garden as well as a patio. We had our towels changed and bins emptied daily. They were also cleaned every day. The complex has 3-4 pools and nice restaurants, and the menus looked good although we didn't eat there. The only drawback is it is a very large complex and is very hilly. We had a long walk from reception with lots of steps and hills. If we went into town we would get a taxi back and get dropped off at our apartment. For anyone with walking difficulties it would be wise to request an apartment nearer to reception.

Quiet, relaxing holiday!
The appartments are well kept and located in attractive grounds. They are a 25 minute walk from the old town of Albufeira (although a taxi is just 5 euros) so if you want to be surrounded by bars and restaurants in the locality, then this complex is not for you, it is also very spread out and hilly, but if you want a quiet, relaxing break as a couple or family then I would definately recommend these spacious appartments and beautiful grounds!

Pleasant apartments in a quiet area - close to Albufeira by taxi (€5) which has many good restaurants. Mostly friendly staff, taxi drivers very helpful. Lidl and Aldi were cheap and close by for self caterers.

Great place to stay. pools are clean and Restaurant does good choice of food. Resort is spread over a hill, we found it ok with our 3 kids but I'm sure others would moan! Resort also sits next to a main road so it's a taxi run into old town for 5€ each way or a 25 minute walk 😃

Top quality appartment situated on the hilly club albuferia complex 2mile out of town. It had everything appart from wifi which was available in the reception office for a fee (8mins walk down the hill). Staff were friendly and really helpful. Entrance to the appartment around the alleyways behind felt a bit lonely and dark at night especially if you are on your own. You definelty need a car or a bike! Most bars and restaurants are located in town which includes a walk down the side of the highway (ok during the day) or secluded path at the side. There's a resturant on site at the top of the hill but it was empty/closed during February when I stayed.

Our apartment was a \"superior\", which was spacious and with good facilities, but some distance from the reception area, and up a very steep hill. This was despite a specific request for a room with easy access and close to pool facilities, which made me think the staff do not really read individual booking requests. The small additional cost for a \"superior room\" is a must, as the standard rooms where very dated and with fewer facilities. The resort is approx 1.5 miles our of Albufera, and there is very little locally, so be prepared for a walk every time you want to go anywhere, or taxis at about 5 to 6 euros each way. Alternatively a car is worthwhile, and onsite parking is close to the room and free. All pools are nice, each with a bar / restaurant, but prices are generally a bit higher than in Albufera town. The resort lacks its own recreational facilities, and does not even offer any form of entertainment at any bar ( which are really only restaurants and not for a casual drink ) on an evening. .... In summary, a nice resort, but rather quiet and lacks some atmosphere.

Other more accessible accommodation available and wheelchair access is good. Three pools, restaurant food ok but better available in walkable old town. Would definately stay again.

My first time to visit this area. The apartment was well furnished and very clean. The swimming pools were clean and of a high standard. The restaurant that we used on site served good quality food at a very reasonable price. All staff that I came into contact with were friendly and very willing to help. Some of the facilities were not available as we were staying at the end of October- off season. We would use this resort again.

Reserved a 1 bedroom apartment but was given a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment at no additional cost. Apartment was amazing, kitchen fully stocked with plates, utensils etc. Furniture was a little dated and the beds weren't incredibly comfortable but were fine for a few nights. Free parking for us right in front of our room. 3 different swimming pools with a kiddie pool! About a 5 minute drive to the waterfront area with lots of restaurants and shopping. Only bad thing for us was the tile floor seemed clean but with our 10 month old baby crawling around her legs and feet were turning black from the dust. Also the water seemed to have an odd odor to me but could have just been the area. Overall for the price we paid the accomodations were amazing! Would definitely stay here again!
