The Palاديم Aparthotel, a centrally located resort in Albufeira, offers a relaxing atmosphere fostered by its friendly staff. From December 15, 2016 onward, the Paladim and Alagoamar Aparthotels (situated in the same building) operate as a single hotel with one reception and shared services.
Located between Albufeira's charming Old Town and the lively Strip, the hotel offers guests convenient access to a variety of attractions and activities, making it an ideal choice for active families and couples. The proximity to beaches provides further opportunities for relaxation and exploration.

The property has lovely friendly staff, good pools, good bars, a good central location, good breakfast...my only gripes would be that the bathroom (A111) was very dark and needs more lighting over the bath and shower and also the orange juice at breakfast tastes more like squash. As the room faces the road the balcony doors need more sound proofing.

The hotel is nice and great value for money. It's a20 minute walk to the old town which is beautiful. The only downside is the main road outside the front of the hotel. Saying that I would definitely stay there again it's perfect for families with teenage children.

We only needed a room for one night. Accessibility was great, able to park right away. Our room was a suite with fully equipped kitchen and large sitting room. Large patio overlooking the beautiful pool. The rooms were clean. Sandra at front desk was very kind at check in. Breakfast at poolside was quick and just what we needed.

A wonderful stay in a large one bedroom apartment on the second floor for four weeks. The apartment had everything I wanted including a large south facing terrace and was well cleaned every day. For one week at the end I stayed in a studio on the ground floor which was also well equipped and maintained but very noisy. Music from the bar continued loudly until after 11pm and was very audible from my room and the noise of banging and scraping of furniture from the room above came straight through to my room. Generally a very enjoyable stay and I have booked to come again, but would avoid apartments on the lower floors.

A nice place in general. A bit old. They have live music every night in the restaurant-bar, so it is a bit disturbing, but it stops at around 11:30. Not so close to the beach. But the pool is great. For the price we paid, it is very good.

Avoid... Better places around.. Location is good and Pool is great, rooms really dated and needing major reworks. Avoid road facing room.. Traffic noise is constant and will impact your sleep.. Dirty bath and show curtain. Rooms are not secure due to the dated roller balcony doors that don't properly close. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Food from restaurants was OK.

Fantastic stay, lovely balcony overlooking pool. Pool had plenty beds available. Didn't have food but couple we were with said it was lovely. Rooms big and had everything you need, cleaned daily . Location great , bout 20 min walk to old town and about 25 to the strip. Supermarkets, shops and bars close by. Would definitely stay here again

Forget about sleeping
The hotel was conveniently located next to a shopping centre however the construction noise there was extremely loud and went on until early hours of the morning making sleeping almost impossible. Soundproofing of the rooms was terrible and all night you could hear guests talking and slamming doors. Despite the hotel being nearly empty and no one moving into our room they wanted to charge us to check out a couple of hours later. Fortunately our next place allowed us to check in early. The rooms are large but old and the grouting job in the bath/shower is disgusting where they have just tried grouting over mouldy grout. No iron in the room, you have to pay a deposit to borrow one and the fully equipped kitchen has no washing detergent or dish brush or cloth to clean the dishes. No washing machine either although there is a beautifully kept and clean one a couple of hundred metres away.

A quietly impressive hotel stay
Just returned from a very nice 8 night stay here. Cleanliness good but the rooms are a little tired in their decor and could do with being updated. The pools were nice, the bar was OK although not many people around to use it currently, but by far the best feature of this hotel is the staff who were all superb throughout and always went out of their way to help. The food in the restaurant was excellent too ( I had breakfasts and dinner included in the price of my stay), including some really good local Portuguese dishes. It would be interesting to compare my late September / early October experience staying here at what is currently a very quiet time (due to Covid) with the same time of year minus the impact of the virus. For now though, I can whole heartedly recommend this place for a relaxing, quietly impressive hotel stay.

Visited for 10 nights. An excellent hotel, very friendly staff, large open spacious rooms with balcony. Lovely pool areas, never overcrowded. Restaurant and bar had great selection of food and drinks. It's only a short walk to the beach and both the old and new towns. I would definitely recommend it. I was very happy with my stay and if I visit Albufeira again I would certainly love to stay here again.

Room was just ok, needed a bit of modernisation, grout in the bathroom was black & grotty. Had to make the sofa beds up ourselves for the kids as they hadn't been done when we arrived. Kitchen facilities were good. Location is great. Good choice of food & drinks at the pool bar, decent food at a decent price. Wasn't impressed at having to pay for a new room key when the plastic got a small crack in it... the key wasn't new & had obviously been used repeatedly before we got it, it just happened to break whilst we had it & had to pay for a replacement, NEW keys should be issued if this is the case! Free wifi in room & around pool. Supermarket very short walk away

Most of the staff were friendly, however some of reception staff were beyond rude. I am self-employed so have to make sure my computer and phone is charged at all times. They would not let me do this and would only give one met card despite sharing with a friend. They eventually agreed to give me another key card but I had to sign a disclaimer that I would not use the electricity whilst not in the room.

Property is ideally located for all round holiday 10 mins walk to escalators to town beach 10 mins to quiter area beach 15 mins to the strip very noisy bar club area. We could also walk 35 - 40 mins to marina. If you just want to bum around pool theres no fight for a sunbed and bar terrace is good. Lots of shops and supermarket just next door. Only problem its a concrete hotel sound carries we got woken at 8.30 every morning because of family with kids scraping furniture acriss thd floor and playing on balcony!

The old town is a very relaxed and chilled out place to go it is a beautiful town with lots of places to eat a good place to chill out. So all in all a great holiday would definitely go back to this hotel 😃

Very friendly staff . Hotel well located with a good bar. Would book again although bed was not as comfortable as expected. Would recommend a pool side view as traffic noise could be off putting for some people especially if there’s a road crash at 6 in the morning.

Stayed in Studio room with a street view and must say it was quite spacious and kitchenette well equipped for those self catering. Only complaint is the limited number of channels on TV and lack of Wi-fi in rooms.
Nevertheless, the location was fantastic for access to beaches and the town centre, even by foot.

Stayed here before when wifi only in lobby and not free. Wifi in room as advertised was very poor, hardly functional on third floor.Lobby reception ok. Helpful, friendly staff, housekeeping about five days out of seven, great location, roadside room not noisy, good value.

Good central location. I had a north facing room, but it was very cold the whole day as the aircon/heating did not work that well to heat the room. So, I changed for 5 euro per night to a south facing room. Sun all day and kept the room warm.

First of all i would not rate the hotel 4 star , would give it a 3 , Check in was easy and staff were friendly , We were givin a room on the ground floor above the bar which was to be a pool view but Couldn't see much of the pool because of the canopy over the bar. Room was very clean but very noisy as situated above the bar and there was a large stag party staying so didn't help , could here everything from next door and upstairs and oh boy that couple had a good time if you get what i mean. We had 2 single bed as i was staying with my daughter, Beds need updating they are very low to the ground and the bedding is outdated. Kitchen facilities were good and clean big bathroom but it was starting to look tired . We were offered a change of room in the morning but we were only staying 3 nights so couldn't be bothered with the hassel of re packing and moving . Hotel is ideally located next door to large supermarket clothes shops McDonald's at kfc , Beach is 10 min walk down hill and old town 15 min walk down hill plenty of nice restaurants and bars in the old town . If i was guaranteed a top floor room i would probably stay at this hotel again

The hotel was exceptional, clean, tidy and spacious. There was also two pools so there were enough sun beds for anyone that wished to use these facilities. The pool side bar was fantastic and the bar was really good with evening entertainment. The food at the restaurant was to of a very high standard and we did not have one bad meal their - I would definitely recommend trying the restaurant as everything is cooked fresh and presented well. The location is good as you are about 15 minutes away from both beaches, the old town and the new strip. Plenty to do and I would definitely come back

This hotel is very well located, right next door to the Albufeira shopping complex and only a 10-15min walk to the Old Town.
It’s an amalgamation of two previously separate hotels, but it all works very well. You get to choose from two large, almost identical pool areas. The apartments are spacious enough and spotlessly clean. We had a generous balcony with a pool view. As we were on the top floor, we also had a sea view over the rooftops! The staff, from reception to restaurant or bar were all excellent and very professional. The bar area and games room annex are great and the restaurant was excellent. We ate in the restaurant on two separate evenings and the food and service were excellent on both occasions.
The only downside for us was the occasional stag group weekenders! On both weekends of our stay we had large English stag parties staying, who were very loud, drunk and obnoxious for the most part! One guy even exposed himself at the side of the pool, in front of many families with young children! Totally unacceptable behaviour! Perhaps the hotel could be a little more discerning about taking these type of bookings. I realise, commercially, this may not be too palatable for them, but if not, it could put off families from returning to what is otherwise a terrific place to stay. Thankfully, the place was big enough to largely give these stag parties a wide berth, for the most part.

Our first time staying at the Paladim and I must say it was a very pleasant stay. The check in on arrival was very easy and Isobel at reception was engaging and informative. We booked a pool view room on a self catering basis and our room ( 110 ) was perfect. Large living area and spacious bedroom and a balcony so big it was accessible from both rooms via sliding doors. Two pools to choose from at this now combines complex and with plenty of space and beds available. The bar area at the paladim was fantastic, with a large seating area outside with T.V's available for all world cup matches. The prices for drinks at the bar was very reasonable and with a great variety of choice on offer.
Overall we were delighted with our stay and will book to stay at this complex again in the near future.

It was in a great location. And most of the hotel was great. The two huge issues were no WiFi in rooms, and no sound proofing at all. I could hear people talking 3 rooms down the hall and snoring from the room above.

Amazing stay! Couldn’t fault anything service from staff was excellent apart from the security guard at night he was very miserable and not very helpful. Size of the apartments was excellent, all applications you could wish for and very clean! Location is excellent, 10 minutes walk to old town 15 to the strip but loads of bar and restaurant en route. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location between the beach and the strip, 10 min walk away from both. I liked this area because it was fairly flat on the main road as I have walking difficulties. Shopping centre with supermarket next door, another supermarket across the road. Taxi rank close by, bus stops for pick ups to parks across the road. Hotel friendly, maid service 6 days a week, good WiFi coverage. Food in restaurant was of good quality. Entertainment in the evening at the hotel. Taxi to and from the beach €3-4 Euro if you didn’t want to walk. Little train goes on a route around Albufeira, but can work out expensive as a mode of transport, and it’s a one way route. Beach is last stop, so you are quicker walking towards the beach.

Isabel on reception was so helpful and aways remarkably cheerful. also Anna Paula and her help in restaurant wonderful ful. BUT chef was poor, ... in over 40 years of experience, i know of no other who would place cold mise plus pre prepared food on a cold plate.. it was very poor, amature and with only 2 couple in the restaurant I was amazed he sat disinterested at a lap top.... over two hours.(possibly stock ordering!! ) but It was as though actual customers and placing food hot on a hot plate was just too much trouble for him... it was an insult at at around 70 euros an actual crime.
